Abstract

A village forest is a state forest not saddled with permission or rights, managed by the village and used for the welfare of the village. The village forest of Mire is located in Ulubongka District area , Tojo Una-una Regency, Central Sulawesi Province. The road facilities are connecting to Mire Village with other villages in Ulubongka District especially hill area has not been adequate with a means of transportation that has not been fully supported, as of access to local communities with other areas is limited both in the process of mobilizing the population and other access. These conditions are what influence society in both cultural social aspects and the economic development of production at village levels. The research was carried out in November through December 2019 using qualitative descretive methods. Data retrieval was done through surveys and interviews that included a list of questions. The research involved a personage especially the head of the family in Mire Village, Ulubangko District, Tojo Una-una Regency, Central Sulawesi. The result of the interview, have a lot of factors that bring out public initiative for utilization Mire Village Forest is Aleurites moluccana because it is not complicated for cultivation and we know for ourselves that the plant it a fast growing, the price was high. Their ecotourism development plans are tracking pathways to Mount Katopasa. But, on the other hand, the plan to manage the Mire Village Forest in the village doesn't compensated with enough knowledge of village forests and village management plan. Keywords: Forest Village, Utilization, Public Initiative

Abstract

Candlenut plant (Aleurites moluccana Willd.) Is a multiple-purpose tree species. This plant is often found growing in various places in the Sigimpu region, Palolo District, Sigi Regency. The planting of candlenut trees has long been carried out by farmers in Sigimpu Village, both on land and village land. Various parties have promoted this activity with the aim of improving farmer welfare, environmental sustainability, and guaranteeing wood supply. This study aims to determine the condition of the vegetative stands of candlenut trees in several phases of ages 5, 10, and 15 years in their potential to control surface runoff and erosion. In its implementation, the development of candlenut plants should not only focus on production aspects or economic goals but also must consider environmental aspects, especially for the sake of controlling surface runoff and erosion. The study was conducted for 3 months, namely, from July to December 2018. The study was conducted on community forests, especially on candlenut plants aged 5, 10, and 15 years located in Sigimpu Village, Palolo District, Sigi Regency. The research procedures used were measurements of rainfall and observations of surface runoff and erosion. Surface runoff and erosion can be suppressed by using candlenut plants as vegetative soil conservation patterns. The smallest surface runoff occurred in 15-year-old candlenut plants at 87.675 liters and 5 years old at 598.297 liters, while controls (without candlenut plants) amounted to 1,245.321 liters The smallest erosion occurred in 15-year-old candlenut plants at 56.629 grams and high the age of 15 years is 132.274 grams, while the control (without candlenut plants) is 219.652 grams.

Abstract

Nyatoh (palaqium obtusifolium Burck) is a type of tree that is also cultivated by the Indonesian community, however, until now, the use of good quality seedlings has been neglected so that the resulting stands have low productivity and quality. Therefore, efforts are needed to improve the quality of real seedlings by means of maintenance such as fertilization, watering and weeding. This research was conducted from January to April 2020 at the BPDASHL Palu-Poso Tadulako University association. This study used a completely randomized design with 5 treatments, each treatment was repeated 10 times. the treatment of the ash rate for oil palm basket, namely: A0 = soil without AJKS, A1 = soil + 5 g AJKS/Polybag, A2 = Soil + 10 g AJKS, A3 = soil + 15 g AJKS/Polybag and A4 = soil + 20 g AJKS /polybag. The parameters observed were the increase in seedling height growth, stem diameter, number of leaves and seedling firmness. The results of this study indicate that the provision of palm oil ash has a significant effect on the increase in the growth of the observed parameters. The best application of palm oil basket ash is 20 g/polybag with a soil weight of 1.5 kg/polybag. the average increase in height growth was 4.21 cm, diameter growth was 2.00 mm, the number of leaves was 2.50 and the growth of seedlings was 7.82.Keyword: AJKS, Nytahoh (Palaquium obtusifolium Burck)

Abstract

(Anacardium occidentale L.) is a conservation plant and its development in Indonesia has been started since 1975 through the Ministry of Forestry's project as a conservation plant to repair critical land. The study was conducted for three months, starting from March to May 2018. The research location was located in the nursery around the Forestry Science Laboratory of the Faculty of Forestry. This study uses a factorial Randomized Complete Design Method (RAL) consisting of two factors, namely the first factor of light intensity C1 = 30%, C2 = 50%, C3 = 70% and C4 = 100% and the second factor is the dose of Urea P0 = without Urea fertilizer, P1 = 1 g and P2 = 2 g per polybag. The combination of the two factors is 12 combinations and each treatment is repeated 4 times. The parameters observed included height increase, increase in diamater, increase in number of leaves and measurement of leaf area. The results of this study indicate that the treatment of Urea fertilizer dosage has a very significant effect on the increase in cashew nut seedlings aged 12 MST. The treatment of 2 g fertilizer dose gave a high increase of 2.0 cm which was significantly different from the treatment without fertilizer (P0) which was 1.4 cm. In addition, the treatment of light intensity and its interaction with Urea fertilizer has no significant effect on all observational parameters of age 12 MST. The treatment of 30% light intensity gave the best results for height increments of 2.0 cm and an increase in diameter of 0.82 mm at 12 MST. The interaction of light intensity and urea fertilizer (C1P2) tended to give the best effect on the parameters of high increase of 2.5 cm, the increase in diameter of 0.82 mm and the increase in the number of leaves of 2.4 strands aged 12 MST.Keywords: Light Intensity, Cashew Seed Urea Fertilizer (Anacardium Occidentale L).

Abstract

Tectona grandis is an annual woody plant that has high economic value in trade commodities. Tectona grandis were usually produced in a conventional way using seed. However, large quantities of seed production in a given time become limited because of an outer layer of a hard seed. The success of tissue cultures is influenced by some factors, among which nutrients composition and plant growth regulator balance as a media component. Plant growth regulator which is used as a media component of tissue culture is the cytokinin  and auksin. The aim of this research is to identify the concentration of kinetin and BAP (Benzyl Amino Purine) concentration is the best for Tectona grandis. The research was carried out for three months, from October to December 2019, located in The Biotechnology Laboratory of Agriculture, Faculty of Agriculture, Tadulako University, Palu.
