Abstract

The aims of this study were to know the potency and the development of natural tourism objects in Saluki Village, Gumbasa Distric, Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi. The respondents were selectedby using purposive sampling methods. The study was employedStrengths-Weaknesses-Opportunities-Threats (SWOT) analysis. The results showed that the potency of natural tourisms around Maleo (Macrocephalon maleo) habitat were Maleo birds, camping ground, river, Hot water, waterfall, tracking and hiking area, and other objects for science and research development. Hence, the development form of natural tourism in this area was divided in two parts. First, an area used as nesting grounds and activities of Maleo birds. Second, an area purposed for modern tourism activities and divided four zones (A, B, C dan D). Keywords: Potency, Development, Natural Tourisms, Maleo (Macrocephalon maleo),

Abstract

Nepenthes tentaculata Hook.f.  is one from nine Nepenthes species founded in Sulawesi island. It is a genus carnivorous plants that popularly known as tropical pitcher plants. Study on the diversity of kantong semar (Nepenthes, spp) was conducted in mount Rorekautimbu, Lore Lindu National Park, Central Sulawesi. The study was conducted on July through August 2013. The procedures of data collection were including species collection in the field, make up herbariums, and observation of Nepenthes tentaculata Hook.f. by using transect method along tracking lines. Seven lines (50m in length) were made in the field. The results show that distribution pattern of Nepenthes tentaculata Hook.f. at all lines in Rorekautimbu mount were in concentric form that influenced by some factors. Furthermore, the highest of Morisitas index was founded at transect VII with value 1.07, while the lowest was founded at transect V and VI with value 1.01. Keywords: Distribution, Pattern, Nepenthes tentaculata Hook. f., Mount Rorekautimbu, Lore Lindu National Park.

Abstract

Kaili watershed aims to be a regulator of water system that has important role for society. This experiment employed systematic strip plot sampling method. It also aims to find out the species of the edge of tree vegetation varieties at Kaili river of Labuan Kungguma Village in Labuan Sub-district. Based on the observation on tree level, in Kaili river, the most dominating is Dracontomelon dao (Blanco) Merr. & Rolfe., tree which has IVI 32.19%. At the level of pole tree, it is dominated by Dracontomelon dao (Blanco) Merr. & Rolfe., which has IVI 29.71% of its important Index Value. At the level of stake, it is dominated by Magnolia champaca, which has IVI 19.42%. At the level of undergrowth, it is dominated by Thallophyta, which has IVI 14.47%. The level of this species varieties classified into high criteria. The level of species diversity (H’) at the level of tree reached 3.08% and it is classified into high criteria; at the pole level which reached 2.84% classified into moderate criteria; at the level of stake reached 3.27% classified into high criteria; and at undergrowth level reached 3.39% classified into high criteria. Abstract

Abstract Lore Lindu National Park is one of conservation areas located in Central Sulawesi, which has a unique both in terms of ecosystems and the flora and fauna that exist in it. One of the unique fauna is tarsier (Tarsius dentatus). Tarsius dentatus is categorized as vulnurable by International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List and on appendix II of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES). This study was conducted in Resort Lindu, Lore Lindu National Park from March to June 2014. This study aims to identify the vegetation condition of the tarsier habitat in Lore Lindu National Park. Vegetation analysis in this study used a single plot placed intentionally (purposive sampling). Sample plot observation was made of a square with a size of 0.25 ha or 50 m x 50 m. Result of study found 95 species of vegetation from 55 families, either trees, poles, saplings, or seedlings and understorey plants at two habitats of tarsier. The dominant plant species for seedlings namely: Calamus sp. (26.60%) and Neprolepis sp. (24.21%). At the sapling stage is Piper aduncum L. (44.36%;63.60%). At the pole stage is Piper aduncum L. (44.68%;47.05%). Whereas, at the tree stage are Ficus sp. 3 (30.78%) and Casuarina equisetifolia L. (28.64%). Species diversity index (H') in the two study sites might be classified as moderate to high, ie between (2.97 to 3.16). Keyword: Tarsier, Tarsius dentatus, Vegetation, Species diversity, Lore Lindu National Park.

Abstract

Indonesia is a tropical country and it has diversity of plants and animals which has 1 % of the land area of the world's land. Indonesia has about 325,000 living creatures that represent more than 16% of the world's living creatures. So far, Indonesia occupies second only from Brazil in terms of biological riches. Sulawesi mainland supports 396 species of settler and visitor type, which consist of land and freshwater birds, where 97 kinds which are endemics, and the largest number of endemic birds present in National Park of Lore Lindu. This study aimed to determine the type composition, diversity index, species dominance, species attendance rate, evenness diversity index, in Wuasa village, north Lore sub district, Poso district In National Park area of Lore Lindu. The usefulness of this research is to be used as an information material about the diversity of bird species in Wuasa village, north Lore sub district, Poso district In National Park area of Lore Lindu. The data collection method used was path transect that was a method used where the observer walked by following the direction and location of the transect line slowly and at the same time recording all bird species encountered. In this recording, besides it was done to the calculation of the number of types, it also noted the number of individuals of each species found. Based on research results in National Park of Lore Lindu in Wuasa village, north Lore sub district, Poso district, it found 52 birds species with a population of 234 individuals in primary forest 118 individuals and in secondary forest 114 individuals. From 52 species of birds, there were 23 species of birds being endemic of Sulawesi that were Snake Eagle of Sulawesi (Spilornis Rufipectus), Alap Eagle with the tail of the bottle (Accipiter trinotatus), Sulawesi Eagle (Spizaetus lanceolatus), Green yellow perkici (Trichoglossus flavoviridis), Kring-kring hill (Prioniturus platurus), Sulawesi Serindit (Loriculus stigmatus), the red beak serindit (Loriculus exilis), Sulawesi cirik-cirik (Meropogon forsteni), Sulawesi Julang (Rhyticeros cassidix), Sulawesi Caladi (Dendrocopos temminckii), Sulawesi’s grey woodpacker (Mulleripicus fulvus), Blue purple shrimp (Coracina temminckii), A dwarf purple shrimp (Coracina abboti), Sulawesi Srigunting (Dicrurus montanus), Sulawesi Pelanduk (Trichastoma celebense) Sulawesi Kipasan (Rhipidura teysmanni), Purple seam (Coracornis raveni), Yellow stomach ache (Pachycephala sullfuriventer), Eyebrows Jalak (Enodes erythrophris), the red flag Jalak (Scissirostrum dubium), the yellow pelvis chili (Dicaeum aureolimbatum), Sulawi chili (Dicaeum nerhkorni), the gray pelvis chili (Dicaeum celebicum).
