Abstract

In this paper, we present an SVIR epidemic model with deadly deseases. Initially the basic formulation of the model is presented. Two equilibrium point exists for the system; disease free and endemic equilibrium. The local stability of the disease free and endemic equilibrium exists when the basic reproduction number less or greater than unity, respectively. If the value of R0 less than one then the desease free equilibrium is locally stable, and if its exceeds, the endemic equilibrium is locally stable. The numerical results are presented for illustration.

Abstract

In combinatorial mathematics, a Steiner system is a type of block design. Specifically, a Steiner system S(t, k, v) is a set of v points and k blocks which satisfy that every t-subset of v-set of points appear in the unique block. It is well-known that a finite projective plane is one examples of Steiner system with t = 2, which consists of a set of points and lines together with an incidence relation between them and order 2 is the smallest order. In this paper, we observe some properties from construction of finite projective planes of order 2 and 3. Also, we analyse the intersection between two projective planes by using some characteristics of the construction and orbit of projective planes over some representative cosets from automorphism group in the appropriate symmetric group.

Abstract

The information on the health status of an individual is often gathered based on a health survey. Patient assessment on the quality of hospital services is important as a reference in improving the service so that it can increase a patient satisfaction and patient loyalty. The concepts of health service are often involve multivariate factors with multidimensional sructure of corresponding factors. One of the methods that can be used to model such these variables is SEM (Structural Equation Modeling). Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) is a multivariate method that incorporates ideas from regression, path-analysis and factor analysis. A Bayesian approach to SEM may enable models that reflect hypotheses based on complex theory. Bayesian SEM is used to construct the model for describing the patient loyalty at Puskesmas in Padang City. The convergence test with the history of trace plot, density plot and the model consistency test were performed with three different prior types. Based on Bayesian SEM approach, it is found that the quality of service and patient satisfaction significantly related to the patient loyalty.

Abstract

Missile is a guided weapon and designed to protect outermost island from a thread of other country. It, commonly, is used as self defense. This research presented surface-to-surface missile in final dive manoeuvre for fixed target. Furthermore, it was proposed manoeuvring based on unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), autopilot system, which needs accuration and minimum both time and thrust of missile while attacking object. This paper introduced pontryagin’s Minimum Principle, which is useable to solve the problem. The numerical solution showed that trajectory of the missile is split it up in three sub-intervals; flight, climbing, and diving. The numerical simulation showed that the missile must climb in order to satisfy the final dive condition and the optimum time of a missile depend on initial condition of the altitude and the terminal velocity

Abstract

In this paper, we will discuss some applications of almost surjective epsilon-isometry mapping, one of them is in Lorentz space ( L_(p,q)-space). Furthermore, using some classical theorems of w star-topology and concept of closed subspace -complemented, for every almost surjective epsilon-isometry mapping  f : X to Y, where Y is a reflexive Banach space, then there exists a bounded linear operator   T : Y to X  with  such that  for every x in X.

Abstract

Recently, exploitation of biological resources and the harvesting of two populations or more are widely practiced, such as fishery or foresty. The simplest way to describe the interaction of two species is by using predator prey model, that is one species feeds on another. The Leslie-Gower predator prey model has been studied in many works. In this paper, we use Euler method to discretisize the modified Leslie-Gower with harvesting model. The model consists of two simultanious predator prey equations. We show numerically that this discrete numerical scheme model is dynamically consistent with its continuous model only for relatively small step-size. By using computer simulation software, we show that equlibrium points can be stable, saddles, and unstable. It is shown that the numerical simulations not only illustrate the results, but also show the rich dynamics behaviors of the discrete system.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to model and forecast the rainfall in Batu City using multi input transfer function model based on air temperature, humidity, wind speed and cloud. Transfer function model is a multivariate time series model which consists of an output series (Yt) sequence expected to be effected by an input series (Xt) and other inputs in a group called a noise series (Nt). Multi input transfer function model obtained is (b1,s1,r1) (b2,s2,r2) (b3,s3,r3) (b4,s4,r4)(pn,qn) = (0,0,0) (23,0,0) (1,2,0) (0,0,0) ([5,8],2) and shows that air temperature on t-day affects rainfall on t-day, rainfall on t-day is influenced by air humidity in the previous 23 days, rainfall on t-day is affected by wind speed in the previous day , and rainfall on day t is affected by clouds on day t. The results of rainfall forecasting in Batu City with multi input transfer function model can be said to be accurate, because it produces relatively small RMSE value. The value of RMSE data forecasting training is 7.7921 while forecasting data testing is 4.2184. Multi-input transfer function model is suitable for rainfall in Batu City.
