Abstract

This research aims to measure the fi scal risks and contingent liabilities caused by increasing world oilprices in terms of fi scal sustainability. Analysis was performed by using the Balance Sheet Approach (BSA)and the mean variance analysis to calculate the fi scal risk. Furthermore, in relation to fi scal sustainability itwas examined whether the fi scal risks that occur was through structural changes or not during the years 1977-2008 with the fl uctuating oil price conditions. It was analyzed by using stationary test application by inserting astructural break elements, developed by Zivot Andrews (ZA test). The results show that increases in oil prices caused the fi scal risk in Indonesia, this can be seen from thecalculation of networth with BSA and the mean variance analysis showed negative results, especially whenIndonesia became a net oil importing country and increase oil price was very high approaching U.S. $ 100 /barrel. ZA test results showed that there had been structural changes in risk variables, such conditions occurwhen the world oil price has increased to nearly 100 U.S. dollars / barrel. This shows that the increase in oilprices could disrupt the achievement of fi scal sustainability. Keywords: Fiscal Risk, Zivot Andrews (ZA) test, Balance Sheet Approach (BSA)

Abstract

This research was aimed at confirming a model of perceived risk developed by Oglethorpe (1994) on cigarette product. The prime determinant variables in the model were severity of outcome and probability of outcome, with five additional variables including availability, catastrophic potential, reversibility, controllability, and dreadedness. Furthermore, perceived risk model of two groups of cigarette product consumers, light cigarette smokers and regular cigarette smokers, were put into comparison. Structural Equation Modelling was applied and assisted by AMOS 3.6 software. The results indicated that prime variable is still a determinant for perceivedrisk. Examination of proposed additional variables indicated that only availability, reversibility, and dreadedness influenced outcome of probability, while severity of outcome was only influenced by catastrophic potential. This developed model of perceived risk has high level of compatibility with the data sample. In addition, the whole variables also formed latent variable by using examination of validity (convergent and discriminant validity) and reliability (construct reliability and extracted variance). The result of this research is also in line with the previous researchs result that light cigarette smokers have lower perceived risk than regular cigarette smokers do.Keywords: structural equation modelling, perceived risk, regular cigarette smokers, light cigarrette smokers.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the data and information to determine the local featured products through the aspects of value-added, market expansion and production technology. The location is the town of Magelang in which there are many small and medium industries with a wide range of their products. The analytical tools used include common analytical technique used to determine a featured product. They are scoring, value chain and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). The result of the study shows that the main criteria for weighting the featured products are competitive advantage, stakeholders' acceptance and societal benefits. Through all three criteria, there are three main local featured products becoming the. They are getuk (the result of processed cassava), kerupuk tahu (tofu crackers) and ceriping ketela (cassava crackers). Furthermore, through a comparative analysis of the criteria, it can be concluded that the product getuk can be considered as the Regional Industry Core Competence based featured product from Magelang. Keywords: Analytical Hierarchy Proces, Regional Product, Competitiveness

Abstract

This research aims to profile precisely strategy for the cultural landscape revitalization of Krebet region with an eco-economy approach. Data were obtained from 200 person of community which doing acitivity in Krebet with structured questionnaire; and conducted by using both factor and cluster analysis. After that, as a result of Delphi method, the policy was shaped by exploring 15 experts. The priorities of policy are confirmed by analytic hierarchy process (AHP). The results indicate that revitalization indicators of Krebet’s cultural landscape are: (1) eco-museum (conservation of panoramic landscape and traditionally agriculture) and conservation of forestry function (biodiversity management and planting various trees); (2) eco-culture (uses local resources, living culture conservation and handicraft innovation) and cultural heritage conservation (traditional arts and cultural heritage).
