Abstract

The logistics industry in Indonesia, with PT Pos Indonesia as the dominant player, is confronted with intense price competition. The challenge lies in establishing the most favorable price for regional logistics services in every region, with the aim of gaining a competitive edge and augmenting revenue. This intricate task encompasses local market conditions, competition, customer preferences, operational costs, and economic factors. To address this complexity, this study proposes the utilization of machine learning for price prediction. The price prediction model devised incorporates the extreme gradient boosting regression (XGBR), support vector machine (SVM), random forest, and logistics regression algorithms. This research contributes to the field by employing mean decrease in impurity (MDI) and permutation importance (PI) to elucidate how machine learning models facilitate optimal price predictions. The findings of this study can assist company management in enhancing their comprehension of how to make informed pricing decisions. The test results demonstrate values of 0.001, 0.005, 0.458, 0.009, and 0.9998. By employing machine learning techniques and explanatory models, PT Pos Indonesia can more accurately determine optimal prices in each region, bolster profits, and effectively compete in the expanding regional market.

Abstract

The distant phosphor configuration produces more illuminating beams than the two settings containing conformal or in-cup phosphor. When this configuration is used, though, it is difficult to manage the color standard of light-emitting diodes (LEDs). As a result, in past few years, numerous studies have focused on controlling the color standard of distant phosphor configurations. Until present, two distant phosphor configurations of single- and triple-film phosphor configurations, have been used to improve color standards. This research will investigate the ideal configuration among these configurations in terms of color rendering index (CRI), color quality scale (CQS), lumen output (LO), as well as color homogeneity for multi-chip white LEDs (WLEDs). WLEDs, operating at five different temperatures of color between 5600 K and 8500 K, are used to perform the studies. The results reveal that the three-sheet phosphor setting would be more desirable, with greater CRI, CQS, and lumen efficiency (LE) indexes. Furthermore, when using a triple-layer phosphor arrangement, color variation is reduced, resulting in a rise in color consistency. This conclusion is possibly verified by using Mie theory to analyze scattering properties in distant phosphor setup, making the study findings legitimate and important data to produce more advanced WLEDs.

Abstract

The energy analysis of the newly introduced n-wheel graph, employs diverse matrix representations such as the adjacency matrix, Laplacian matrix, and maximum degree matrix. This novel graph model resembles a hierarchical wireless sensor network (WSN), with a central hub serving as the communication center. The graph is organized into cycles, reflecting tiers of devices or sensors, with the hub managing wireless communication across these tiers. Through comparative analysis of energy variations, particularly focusing on ordinary energy, Laplacian energy, and maximum degree energy, offers a deeper understanding on the potential benefits of the n-wheel graph model, guiding future research and practical applications in the design of advanced hierarchical network structures.

Abstract

Stereo vision is one of the interesting research topics in the computer vision field. Two cameras are used to generate a disparity map, resulting in the depth estimation. Camera calibration is the most important step in stereo vision. The calibration step is used to generate an intrinsic parameter of each camera to get a better disparity map. In general, the calibration process is done manually by using a chessboard pattern, but this process is an exhausting task. Self-calibration is an important ability required to overcome this problem. Self-calibration required a robust and good matching algorithm to find the key feature between images as reference. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the performance of three matching algorithms for the autocalibration process. The matching algorithms used in this research are SIFT, SURF, and ORB. The result shows that SIFT performs better than other methods.

Abstract

The efficiency of tools used to collect private medical data on people has significantly improved over time. These include implanted, surface-mounted, or encircling devices that form a wireless body area network (WBAN). Although the most recent secure authentication techniques in the industry offer privacy and security, these schemes have a higher time cost for authentication and take longer to complete owing to the restricted computational power of WBAN devices. We provide a novel authentication method depending on the lightweight wearable device scheme for the WBAN environment. Wearable devices are used to capture sensor data from the patient’s body in the beginning, after which any redundant data is removed by normalization. The method we suggest for encrypting the data is multi-fractional triphase duplex data encryption (MTDDE) with ant colony optimization (ACO). The method considers not only the security of the data but also the many limitations of sensor nodes, such as battery life, throughput, computing power limitations, and dynamic topology. The thorough research demonstrates that our suggested technique saves computing costs while maintaining security and privacy together with anonymous verification. The suggested system’s effectiveness in protecting the privacy and confidentiality of patient health data in WBAN is demonstrated by the simulation model.

Abstract

This paper presented a compressive sensing (CS) calibration technique that simultaneously measures all the element excitations of a 2×2 active phased antenna array (APAA) instantaneously. The power patterns of the rectangular 2×2 APAA element are synchronized to orthogonally cross multiplicative sub-array system applying compressive sensing in achieving an array thinning along two 1-D sub-arrays for a fixed steered beam radiation. The far field radiation pattern direction of the 2×2 APAA is examined considering the mutual effect, complex excitation of the amplitude and phase of the antenna elements placed on the x and y axes. The unwanted array excitation with errors are calibrated using minimization vector as a standard basic pursuit problem in compressive sensing technique for the 2×2 APAA calibration. The elements amplitude and phase shift variation are compared with reference state 0 in order to evaluate the faulty error array elements. The performance evaluation of this proposed technique is measured and demonstrated to validate the effectiveness of the proposed antenna calibration technique.

Abstract

Despite its significant contributions to health, agriculture, and energy, the public perception of nuclear technology in Indonesia remains cautious and fragmented. Existing communication channels are largely one-way and regulatory, offering limited opportunities for public interaction and collaborative learning. This study investigates how an interactive web-based platform can enhance public engagement and knowledge sharing in nuclear science and technology. To address this challenge, a Nuclear Community Interactive Website (WIKIN) for Indonesia was designed and developed using the Laravel framework, following a structured waterfall methodology. The system integrates role-based access control, modular architecture, and responsive design to support community participation through the sharing of news, discussions, and documentation of service activities. The evaluation was conducted through black-box functional testing of 27 features (all passed) and a system usability scale (SUS) survey involving 51 users, which produced an average score of 74.8 (“Good”), indicating satisfactory usability and acceptance. These results demonstrate that WIKIN provides an effective model for fostering two-way communication, improving transparency, and strengthening public literacy regarding nuclear issues. This study contributes to digital public engagement research by demonstrating how user-centered design principles can be effectively applied to enhance trust, transparency, and community participation in nuclear science communication.

Abstract

This pioneering research introduces a telemedicine-based baby incubator designed to accurately monitor premature babies’ electrical heart signals and respiratory rates. The research aims to monitor premature babies, especially those related to heart and respiratory problems. This research combines telemedicine technology with the discrete wavelet transform (DWT) method to obtain respiratory rate values from electrocardiogram (ECG) signal leads directly. This research contribution can be used for simultaneous and non-invasive monitoring of heart electrical signals and respiratory rate. By leveraging existing telemedicine infrastructure, this incubator enables real-time monitoring. Using a data-driven approach with premature babies as subjects, respiratory signals are captured using sensitive sensors and analyzed via the DWT method. The results show that the accuracy of this telemedicine-based incubator is superior in monitoring respiratory rate compared to conventional methods with a P-value>0.05. This study confirms the effectiveness of DWT-based telemedicine incubators in monitoring the breathing of premature babies, thereby offering superior performance compared to traditional methods. The implications resulting from this research as a whole, this telemedicine-based baby incubator marks a significant advancement in the care of premature babies, ensuring precise and real-time breathing monitoring.

Abstract

Siamese neural network (SINN) is an image processing model that compares the scores of two patterns. The SINN algorithm is a combination of the use of the double convolutional neural network (CNN) algorithm. By combined SINN with a one-shot learning algorithm, we can build an image model without requiring thousands of images for training. The test results from the SINN algorithm and one-shot learning show that this process was successful in matching the two data but was unable to produce labels from the data being tested. Because of this, the researcher decided to continue the implementation process using the CNN algorithm combined with single shot detection (SSD). By using a dataset of 5000, the recognition and translation of the Toba Batak script was successful. The percentage of average accuracy results from CNN and SSD in recognizing Toba Batak characters is 84.08% for single characters and 74.13% for mixed characters. While the percentage of average accuracy results for testing the breadth first search algorithm is 75.725%.

Abstract

Nowadays, many small and medium organizations of the telecommunication sector must solve intrinsic heterogeneous problems in their own environments that have been associated with high computational complexities of their algorithms. These class of problems require to use high performance computing (HPC) infrastructures for their executions. Therefore, these must be accelerated to reduce significantly the execution times, included many problems that should be solved in real time: like the processing of multiples video streams, the pattern recognition in big volumes of data, the traffic analysis in cybersecurity solutions and among others. The building of HPC infrastructure permits to organize the technological platform to increase the productive and business indicators of the organizations. This paper describes an architecture as reference model and ecosystem for the building and systematic improvement of HPC infrastructures based on practical experiences from successive process of HPC infrastructure building on cloud deployment. That’s processes have been useful for the organizations permitting the integration of emergent hardware and software components launched to the international market. This landscape vision is pertinent for academics, scientifics and business organizations compelled to implement scientific and engineering applications to diverse fields that have a high impact in the society digital transformation.
