Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study was to examine the factors that affect the organization citizenship behavior, namely teacher competence, spiritual intelligence, and self-determination theory in junior high school teacher. Some 231 junior high school teachers in East Kotawaringin Sampit are given four scales to fill in, namely teacher competence scale, spiritual intelligence scale, self-determination theory scale and organization citizenshipbehavior scale. Data was analyzed with statistical techniques namely structural equation model (SEM). The results showed there is the influence of teacher competence in self-determination theory (ë= 0.147, p = 0.003).The influence of spiritual intelligence to self-determination theory was significant ( = 0874, p = 0.000). There is a significant influence of teachers’ competencies on organizational citizenship behavior (ë = 0097, p = 0.007). There is no significant influence of spiritual intelligence to organizational citizenship behavior (ë= 0070, p = 0461), but the effect through selfdetermination theory (ë= 0808). There is a significant influence of selfdetermination theory to organizational citizenship behavior (ë= 0924, p =0.000).Keywords: organizational citizenship behavior, self determination theory, spiritual intelligence, teacher competency

Abstract

AbstractThis study focused on the adolescent’s anger, and efforts to manage the emotion of anger. This research used expressive therapy by writing about emotional experience that aims to help adolescents able to express their anger and as a medium of catharsis. The research design was a single group design with “one group pre-test and post-test experimental” method. Participants who attend this research are eight male, with age between 16 to 21 years and had high scores on STAXI Scale. Participants were asked to write down their emotional experiences in a book. The result of the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test showed a significant decreasing in participant’s anger after writing session. The results show that writing an emotional experience in expressive therapies able to reduce the emotion of anger in adolescent.Keywords: anger, emotion, writing emotional experience therapy.

Abstract

AbstractGlobalization is everywhere, in this regard, every organization should change according to the needs and requirement of the environment. In addition, in today’s economy, it’s critical to have effective, and efficient organization. Failure to effectively engage employees can result in wasted resources, unboptimal organizational performance, and deteriorating employee morale. On the other hand, successfully engaging and committing employee can result in higher levels or organizational performance as well as higher levels of job satisfaction, both of which are much needed in today’s environment.The question arises whether organizational commitment, and employee engagement are related to individual readiness for change. The objective of this research is to identify the relationship andimpact between organizational commitments, employee engagement to individual readiness to change. This study done in four financial companies, that consist of three private owned banks and one government owned financial company (N= 502), with quantitative methods and correlation survey. The results showed that both organizational commitment and employee engagement are positively relatd and have contributed toindividual readiness to change. The results also show that the correlation of organizational commitment is stronger than employee engagement to individual readiness to change.Keywords: organizational commitment, employee engagement, individual readiness to change.

Abstract

AbstractThis study used cognitive approach to reduce adolescents’ delinquency tendency. This approach aims to help adolescent be able to evaluate and criticize their negative self concept. Participants were 10 adolescents, aged between 13 to 15 years, who have a tendency of high and medium delinquency behavior. Five participants included in the experimental group and five participants in the control group. The Result of Wilcoxon SignedRanks Test showed there are decreasing in subject’s delinquency behavior after cognitive therapy, that was while the pre-test to post-test with a value of z = -1.753 with p = .04 (p <0.05). While the post-test to follow-up, with the value z = - 0.944 with p = .173 (p> 0.05). While the pre-test to follow-up with the value z = - 0.677 with p = .249 (p> 0.05). The results showed that writing negative criticism about their self in the application of cognitive approachable to reduce delinquency behavior tendency inadolescents.Keywords: cognitive approach, delinquency behavior tendency.

Abstract

AbstractThe aim of this research was to understand relationship betweenOrganizational Citizenship Behavior and Personality Factor. The subjects of this research are members of tourism police in Yogyakarta, total subject are 54 people. Data collected with two scales consist of Organizational Citizenship Behavior Scale and Big Five Personality Scale. Data was analyzed with correlation product moment. The result showed there is no correlation between neuroticism and Organizational Citizenship Behavior,there is positive correlation between extraversion and Organizational. Citizenship Behavior, there is no correlation between opennes to experience and Organizational Citizenship Behavior, there is positive correlation between agreeableness and Organizational Citizenship Behavior, and there is positive correlation between conscientiousness and OrganizationalCitizenship Behavior.Keywords: organizational citizenship bhavior, personality factor, police tourism,

Abstract

AbstractMost women have a concern toward their physical appearance.Therefore, they often compare their physical appearance, especially their body shape, with other women’s body shapes which are more attractive. The purpose of this study was to examine the correlation between social comparison and body dissatisfaction among early adult women. Social comparison is the process of comparing oneself with others, whereas body dissatisfaction is the negative individual’s feelings, thoughts, and evaluation toward her body shape. Social comparison and body dissatisfaction were measured using Body Comparison Scale (BCS) and Body Shape Questionnaire (BSQ). The participants were 104 female students of Faculty of Psychology, University of Surabaya aged 18-25 years old. The result showed that social comparison was positively correlated with body dissatisfaction among early adult women (r= .636, p< .05). It means that the early adult women are more prone to experience higher bodydissatisfaction if they more often compare their body shapes with more attractive women.Keywords: body dissatisfaction, early adult women, social comparison
