Journal of Educational, Health, and Community Psychology (JEHCP) published an article, and empirical study that have originality, novelty and fill the gap of knowledge, that focused on educational psychology, health psychology and community psychology. JEHCP is an open access peer reviewed, multidisciplinary journal that publishes quality studies related to psychology. JEHCP is interdisciplinary in approach, and includes to reports of qualitative case studies, quantitative experiments and surveys, mixed method studies, action researches, meta-analyses, and discussions of conceptual and methodological issues. The field of educational psychology includes the effectiveness of educational interventions, the psychology of teaching, and the social psychology of schools as organizations, motor skills and other psycho-physiological processes; cognitive development involving areas such as problem solving, language acquisition; social, personality, and emotional development; self-concept and identity formation. The field of Health Psychology includes the stress-related ilnesses, the health coping strategy, resiliency, work on health attitudes and behaviour, health locus of control, quality of life in chronic disease, influence of emotion on health and health-related behaviours, psychological interventions in health and disease as well as psychological aspects of prevention. The field of Community Psychology includes research, evaluation, assessment and intervention, and review articles that deal with human behavior in community settings. Articles of interest include descriptions and evaluations of service programs and projects, studies of youth, parenting, and family development, methodology and design for work in the community, the interaction of groups in the larger community, and criminals and corrections.

Abstract

Hope is an important atribut for parent to build a positive perspective to children with developmental disabilieties. Due to the importance of hope, this study explored the experience of hope for mother with speech delay children. Eight semistructured interviews were conducted with six mother with speech delay children and analyzed the data using the constant comparative method as proposed by grounded theory. The results showed that mother experiencing a dynamics of hope about childrens future. mothers hope are moving between unrealistic hope to be realistic hope, which are influenced by a number of protective factors and risk factors. unrealistic hope is the wrong hope that is not suitable with the child condition (wishful thinking), resulted incorrect parenting process, and be a burden for the mother to make it happen. While, realistic hope is the correct hope that is suitable with the child condition, resulted correct parenting process and not be a burden for the mother to make it happen. Keywords: mother’s hope, unrealistic hope, realistic hope,  speech delay children

Abstract

This research aimed to explore the risk factors of PTSD in children as victims of sexual violence so as to build the concept of integrative psychological dynamics of PTSD in children as victims of sexual violence in Indonesia and also reveal the impact of PTSD on children as victims of sexual violence.  Sexual violence is a lifelong crime in which the victim who experienced the incident will experience a prolonged trauma or what is commonly called post traumatic sress disorder (PTSD). PTSD is a mental disorder that can develop after a person is affected by a traumatic event.The method used was qualitative method with case study approac while the data collection technique was done by using in-depth interview and participant observation. The research was conducted on children as victims of sexual violence aged 11 and 12 years old and experienced PTSD. Stages of data analysis were data collection, data reduction, data presentation, conclusion and verification until the final conclusion, through the process of validity, like triangulation data.The results of this research revealed that PTSD risk factors in children as victims of sexual violence are associated with 2 (two) factors such as, : 1) Internal factors or vulnerabilities in children include low intelligence and shyness, introvert, and pessimistic personality, 2) Environmental factors include the lack of support from parents, teachers, friends and people around the victim which triggered the development of PTSD. Children as victims of sexual violence who get PTSD also experience the impact on the function of life, where they are no longer able to perform daily life functions such as going to school, socializing and doing their hobby.

Abstract

Abstract The objectives of this study were to develop the Scale of Subjective Well-Being for Mother (SSWB-M), and to examine the psychometric properties of SSWB-M that have been developed. The results of this study show that The developed Scale of Subjective Well-Being for Mother (SSWB-M) consists of The Scale of Life Satisfaction in Family Domain (SLS-FD) and the Positive and Negative Affect Scale in Family Domain (PANAS-FD).The Scale of Life Satisfaction in Family Domain (SLS-FD) showing a match with chi-square = 147.190 (p = 0.118), GFI = 0.881, AGFI = 0.805, CFI = 0.984, TLI = 0.977, and RMSEA = 0.039 describes a good goodness of fit. Overall reliability has a high value of Alpha Cronbach coefficient, which is 0.892, and composite reliability of 0.984. Positive - Negative Affect Scale in Family Domain (PANAS-FD) shows the results of evaluation of fit model  with chi square = 46,450 (p = 0,332), GFI = 0,925, AGFI = 0,886, CFI = 0,995, TLI = 0,994, and RMSEA = 0,028 describes that the goodness of fit is good. Overall, on PANAS-FD have the composite reliability is 0.950, and the Alpha Cronbach is 0.763. The Scale of Subjective Well-Being for Mother (SSWB-M), the two sub-scales have high validity and reliability, therefore it can be used to measure subjective well-being in young mothers. Keywords: Development, validation, SSWB-M

Abstract

Self-efficacy of teachers is a teachers belief in self-competence that can be demonstrated in a given situation. Self-efficacy teachers have been extensively researched including in the context of inclusive education involving students with special needs. This study aims to conduct a literature review of the predictors and consequences of teacher self-efficacy in the setting of inclusive education involving S. Search literature using online database include ERIC, ProQuest, and Science Direct. The keywords used in the search was ("SEN" OR "inclusion) AND (" antecedent "OR" consequence ") AND" teacher self-efficacy. A total of 33 articles (N = 3472) were reviewed through a series of screening steps based on established inclusion and exclusion criteria. The findings show that the teachers self-efficacy predictors come from internal (e.g. knowledge, personality profiles, experience interacting with disabled people, teaching experience, an experience of training) or external or situational (e.g. school climate). Teacher self-efficacy can have an impact on attitudes and behaviors on inclusion, work attitude (e.g. burnout, job satisfaction), collective self-efficacy, and student-related decision making (referral bias). There are contradictory research findings of and limited research on the impact of teacher self-efficacy on the development or achievement of students with special needs into findings that also become suggestions for further research, especially in Indonesia.Keywords: teachers’ self-efficacy, inclusion, Special Educational Needs (SEN), and review

Abstract

Social identification determined as one of the imperative factor that specialized one society from the another one. In fact, this factor has been impacted by various items such as sport participation and appears comprehensively. Sport participation has considerable influence on health of society and conducts individuals’ identification in different ways. In this regard, the present study focused on the relationship between social identification and sport participation amongst 270 staff who are working on developmental and maintenance of sports in Iran. The data has been got based on Social Identification (Safarnia, 1993), and Participation Motivation Questionnaire (PMQ; Gill et al., 1983). The results showed that the sport participation has meaningful relation with social identification. In reality, the staff who considered on team working as participation and supply this main factor on their daily life shown better social identification. Keywords: Social Identification, Sport Participation, Staff, Iran

Abstract

Career maturity is defined as the maturity of attitudes and competencies related to career decision making. Based on the problems found in preliminary studies showed that many students of class XII were confused in the selection of majors for advanced study at university . This suggests that many students of class XII who has a career that is still lacking maturity . PLANS training was given to students of class XI N tutoring with the goal of improving career maturity . The hypothesis of this study was PLANS training to increase the maturity of career guidance to students studying in class XI N . The experiment design used Untreated Control Group Design with Dependent Pretest and Posttest Samples. In this study, the independent variable is PLANS training , while the dependent variable is the career maturity . Training subjects were 30 students ( 15 experimental group and 15 control group ) . Scale research instrument is the attitude of career maturity and career maturity competency test . Results of ANOVA analysis of the mixture showed a change from pretest to posttest scores were significant in the experimental group and the control group there was no significant change . The contribution of this training is equal to 40.4 % for the attitude domain  and 62.5 % for the domain of career maturity competence.
