Journal of Educational, Health and Community Psychology
Journal of Educational, Health, and Community Psychology (JEHCP) published an article, and empirical study that have originality, novelty and fill the gap of knowledge, that focused on educational psychology, health psychology and community psychology. JEHCP is an open access peer reviewed, multidisciplinary journal that publishes quality studies related to psychology. JEHCP is interdisciplinary in approach, and includes to reports of qualitative case studies, quantitative experiments and surveys, mixed method studies, action researches, meta-analyses, and discussions of conceptual and methodological issues. The field of educational psychology includes the effectiveness of educational interventions, the psychology of teaching, and the social psychology of schools as organizations, motor skills and other psycho-physiological processes; cognitive development involving areas such as problem solving, language acquisition; social, personality, and emotional development; self-concept and identity formation. The field of Health Psychology includes the stress-related ilnesses, the health coping strategy, resiliency, work on health attitudes and behaviour, health locus of control, quality of life in chronic disease, influence of emotion on health and health-related behaviours, psychological interventions in health and disease as well as psychological aspects of prevention. The field of Community Psychology includes research, evaluation, assessment and intervention, and review articles that deal with human behavior in community settings. Articles of interest include descriptions and evaluations of service programs and projects, studies of youth, parenting, and family development, methodology and design for work in the community, the interaction of groups in the larger community, and criminals and corrections.

Add psychological interventions based mental health services community for treating people with schizophrenia (ODS) can provide positive opportunities in the recovery process. However, there was no systematic literature review for this yet. This article aims to identify and synthesize ODS's psychological interventions in the community to portray held various interventions. A systematic narrative review with the procedure of PRISMA was used in this research. The inclusion criteria are 1) psychological intervention; 2) involvement of a psychologist; 3) community settings. The search was carried out from April- May 2020. Out of 103 journals, 72 journals were reviewed, and a total of 7 journals were analyzed in this study. The involvement of psychologists in crucial positions in community mental health services is rare. Most of the interventions are led by psychiatrists. Psychological interventions include psychoeducation, CBT, SST, social support therapy, and online psychotherapy with "telementalhealth". Psychosocial interventions are given with pharmacotherapy. There was a positive effect of using psychological interventions for ODS in the community. Intervention on ODS in the community must involve multidisciplinary and multi-professional skills. Psychologists' involvement in psychological interventions can improve clinical outcomes and psychological flexibility to provide satisfaction to patients. Background: The Sayang Bunda application is an E-Health android application offered by the Semarang City Health Office which provides consultation services to pregnant women and postpartum mothers. E-Health is considered effective as a medium for consulting pregnant women in the city of Semarang. However, based on a preliminary survey to pregnant women, there are pregnant women who do not use and even do not know the application. The purpose of this study was to explore the obstacles in the implementation of the "Sayang Bunda" E-Health Application. Research Methods: This research is a qualitative research where this research is basic and aims to obtain information and data related to the implementation of the Sayang Bunda E-Health application. Data collection techniques use interviews with the health center coordinator midwives and questionnaires with pregnant women and postpartum mothers. The subjects of this study are pregnant women, postpartum mothers, and the managers of community health centers. The study results show that pregnant women and postpartum mothers prefer WhatsApp groups to have consultation related to pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum and newborns since it is easier to do. It is recommended to have policy integration among several parties so that the implementation of the Sayang Bunda E-Health can be carried out optimally. Keywords: E-Health, Obstacles, Implementation.Â

This study aims to determine the role of health promoting behavior as a mediator of the relationship between perceived social support and psychological distress in poor young adults in DKI Jakarta. The research data collection was directly conducted by visiting the participants, young adults with age 8-29 years old (N = 314). The research instruments used were HPLP II, Social Provision Scale (SPS), Symptom-25 Checklist (HSCL-25). The results of the mediation analysis showed the significancy that health promotion behavior partially mediated the relationship between perceived social support and psychological distress, with indirect effects (β = .003, p = <.01) and direct effects (β = -.022, p = <. 01 ). Thus, perceived social support can directly increase psychological distress or through health promotion behavior first. People who perceive themselves get social support will have feeling that are cared for and loved, so that they will motivate themselves to be involved in healthy behavior and reduce psychological distress. Â

This study aimed at verifying the relationship between Covid-19 pandemic and social anxiety in the Millennial generation in Indonesia. The study used the OLS (Ordinary Least Squares) approach in analyzing the data from 441 respondents from 10 universities in Indonesia. The theory formulated as the finding of this study is: “The social anxiety experienced by the Millennials during the Covid-19 outbreak is a product of social situations. It is made a convincing case because there is a correlation between the Covid-19 pandemic in terms of the perceptions and understanding of the Millennial generation in Indonesia and social anxiety. The influence of the Covid-19 pandemic on social anxiety has even significantly folded.â€Â This article is useful to show how significant the influence of Pandemic Covid-19 on Social Anxiety in Millennials in Indonesia, where such studies have not even been adequately offered by other scholars. Staff working in nursing homes holds important roles for caregiving older adults, yet they are prone to experiencing high stress due to high demands at work. Two core processes in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): personal values and committed action offers new strategies for nursing home staff to create a more positive attitude, thus potential in improving nursing home staff’s general mental health. This study explores the effects of brief-ACT on psychological flexibility, work stress, in-role performance, and quality of life among nursing home staff. Therapy was conducted in a group setting, emphasizing personal values and committed action core processes, with quantitative measurements administered in pretest-posttest design. Participants also answered open-ended questions for qualitative results regarding with effects of the group therapy. Results showed statistically significant effects of Brief-ACT for psychological flexibility, in-role performance, and quality of life, while the decrease in work stress was not statistically significant. In addition, qualitative themes coded from open-ended questions reported positive experiences related to the group therapy. This study provides initial findings regarding ACT feasibility among nursing home staff, particularly related to personal values and committed action core processes. Keywords: ACT, nursing home staff, values, committed action, work             stress.

The involvement of parents to tell story to the children takes important role to increase attachment. This research aimed to figure to examine the effectiveness of traditional game story series e-book app to increase the attachment between parents and children. The method used was quasi experiment with pre-post control group design. The population of this research consists of 32 kindergarten students which were split to experimental group and controlled group. The experimental group was given storytelling treatment through e-book app series. To measure the result, there was attachment scale used in pretest and posttest. The data was analyzed by using independent t test sample and paired t test sample. The result of the research showed that there was significant attachment between pretest and posttest score within experimental group. Meanwhile, within the controlled group, no significant attachment was found. It can be concluded that traditional game story e-book series can increase the attachment between parents and children. The result of this research supports the previous research conducted by Frude & Killick (2011) which explains that the story telling done by parent to the children increase the attachment. Keywords: storytelling, parent and children attachment.Â

Studies have proved multiple times that anxiety and different learning styles within the FL classroom affect students when they are doing a test. These studies however have not yet observed every different kind of students. With this context, data were collected from 71 work-study contract vocational higher diploma students from EFIATP Correze, France during the 2020-2021 academic years. As a conclusion of this study, it is determined that there are no significant relationships between the FL student anxiety in the classroom, their learning styles and their test Level.Keywords: FL , foreign language , anxiety, learning styles, test level, work-study contract  students

Online learning process in COVID-19 pandemic can decline the quality of subjective well-being of students. The constraints faced by the students in doing the online learning can make them more frequently feel negative emotions such as being anxious, stressful, confused or bored. The aim of this study is to test the online learning readiness and academic resilience on the subjective well-being among students. A number of previous researches showed that the students ready to have online learning and having a good academic resilience could increase their subjective well-being. This study involved 200 students of Junior High School ‘X’ Lampung having online learning. It used three instruments: (a) scale of positive and negative experience (SPANE) (Diener, Wirtz, Tov, Kim-Prieto, Choi, Oishi, & Biswas-Diener, 2009), (b) academic resilience scale (Martin & Marsh, 2006), and (c) scale of student’s e-learning readiness questionnaire (Aydin & Tasci, 2005). The test of hypothesis used the Doubled Regression Analysis Technique (SPSS 20). The results of this study showed that the online learning readiness and academic resilience simultaneously were effective in determining the subjective well-being of students (R = 0.09, p < 0.01).Keywords: subjective well-being, academic resilience, online                  learning readiness, pandemic COVID-19.

This research was conducted to find the correlation between permissive, authoritative, authoritarian parenting styles with smartphone addiction. This study involved 225 students of one private university in Jakarta from various faculties (67 male and 158 female) selected based on a non-probability sampling method - convenience sampling. The measuring instruments used in this study were the Smartphone Addiction Scale (SAS) developed by Kwon et al. (2013) and the Parenting Style scale developed by Baumrind (1971), and the personal information form used to collect sample personal data. The quantitative analysis of the research was carried out using the Pearson product-moment test, Spearman correlation’s test, descriptive test, t-test, and ANOVA test of difference. This study's results were there is a significant correlation of 0.320 between permissive parenting style and smartphone addiction, also there is a significant correlation of 0.300 between authoritarian parenting and smartphone addiction. Furthermore, there is no significant relationship between authoritative parenting and smartphone addiction. Keywords: Smartphone Addiction, Permissive Parenting Style, Authoritarian Parenting Style.Â
