Abstract

This article discusses the development o f rustic craps nowadays. Rustic craft in this articlemeans a work o f craft that is "made'' o f natural materials, such as roots, and ru ral-folk-crafts, fo r example,"lesutig" and "luku " (plough). These kinds o f crafts are becoming popular among the middle-to-high classcommunities in the cities. The crafts function ils a signifier in gaining social status which differentiate c,certain class with other classes, and also fulfil their needs o f a different life style and their aesthetkal value.Such a condition increases a valorization o f rustic craft in economical and symbolic sense, but, at the sametime, creates an ironic condition especially in the context o f sccio-cultural shifting in a rural area. Thevillagers, especially the farmers, are withdrawn from their socio cultural base since they become unfamiliarwith their fvlk-funitiunul-crufts.Key ivords: life style, craft, rustic craft, discourse, valorization.

Abstract

environmental damages are acknowledged to be the negative impacts of the existence and activities of human. The impacts have been the major issues in the world such as the ozone hole, the earth temperature that is increasing significantly and the natural disasters. People need to change their paradigms and habits immediately to prevent further destruction on earth. Reutilizing used materials is one way, among other ways, to lessen the environment exploitation, even though it is not directly related to carbon dioxide reduction issue which is promoted by the KyotoProtocol supporters. However, in the realm of art and design, it is really relevant to creativity and at the same time, endorsing the sustainable design principles. Keywords: sustainable design, recycle, reused material

Abstract

The number of accidents on the streets hasalways been dominated by motorcycles. Treefactors that cause these accidents are humanerrors, vehicles and environments. Te highestfactor causing the accident is human error. Itoften triggers accidents. Riding their motorcycles,riders struggle to get to their destination as soon aspossible. Tis often leads to accidents. To reduce theaccident number, the solution offered is creating agame application to complete the already existingbooks and theories providing trafc guidance andalso the counseling given by the authorities. It isin the form of safety riding simulation game thatis designed as closely as possible with good drivingtechniques. Advantageous tips and tricks completethe game. A PC tablet with Android operatingsystem with maximal multimedia features is usedto guarantee that the users will feel the sensation ofthe simulation.

Parody in Junaedi’s Works of Art. Deni Junaedi is an artist who consistently creates parodical paintings. This paper is written from the idea that it is the postmodernism culture which has brought the contemporary art up into view. It is also in the postmodernism culture where parodical art, including parodical paintings exists as a part of contemporary richness. Abstract

The Role and Impact of  Technology on the Interior Design Study Program of  ISI Yogyakarta. Digital technology grows rapidly and covers all fields in life. The design education conducted by the Visual Art Faculty of  ISI Yogyakarta manages to cope with the technology development. This progress does not only set changes in technical aspects such as equipment and material, but also includes a wider range of  issues correlated with the designing concept, the users’ responses and the designers’ attitude in the process of  creating their works of  art. The development of  interior design in Indonesia can be tracked from four periods of  development: the colonization era, the guided democracy era, the new order era, and the 21st century design era. The Interior Design Study Program, as other study programs existing in the Faculty of  Visual Art of  ISI Yogyakarta is branded for excellent manual skills. The application of  digital technology in its teaching-learning process should ponder many aspects: hardware, software, maintenance, and human capital. Thoughtful researches are required to be able to follow the world development and show the uniqueness of  this art education institution.Keywords: digital, the history of  interior design.

Abstract

Oleh karena topik yang akan saya bahas sangat luas, maka saya memutuskan untukfokus pada hal-hal yang saya anggap sebagai komponen penting dalam percncanaan pameran.Jika kita membicarakan mengenai pengelolaan pengambilan keputusan, maka misi memegangperanan penting sebagai pemandu seluruh aspek yang terdapat di dalamnya. Misi sangatpen ting dalam perencanaan pameran karena karya seni mempunyai fungsi-fungsi sosial, politikdan budaya yang beragam yang harus dihargai, dan bukan semata-mata sebagai komoditas saja.Meskipun karya seni dapat diperjualbelikan, tetapi fungsinya terkait dengan pengertiankemanusiaan kita secara mendalam. Dengan demikian, orang-orang yang mengorganisirpameran termasuk galeri-galeri komersial - perlu memerhatikan fungsi seni dan tujuanseniman ketika merencanakan pameran. Tcrciptanya sebuah misi yang baik adalah hal yangpalingutamadan merupakan langkah yangpalingpentingdalam proses ini.Selama saya berada di Indonesia, saya memperhatikan adanya suatu kecenderungantiadanya misi maupun tema dalam pameran-pameran yang diselenggarakan. Saya seringmenemukan adanya pameran-pameran kelompok di mana para pengelolanyamengikutsertakan seniman-seniman yang karyanya disukai atau dianggap bagus danmemasang kara-karya tersebut bersama-sama di dalam galeri seolah-olah kualitas karya sajasudah cukup memenuhi syarat bagi “suksesnya” suatu pameran. Sebagai akibatnva, seringkarya seni tersebut kehilangan kekuatannya sehingga para penonton mempertanyakanketiadaan hubungan antara satu karya seni dengan karya seni yang lainnya. Inilah alasannyamengapa menciptakan suatu misi yang kuat dan rencanayang strategis menjadi penting dalammenyelenggarakan pameran yang lebih baik dan sukses.

Abstract

Bisnis online telah merebak begitu cepat di berbagai media dan menembus lintas ruang dan waktu. Salah satu bisnis yang kini berkembang adalah pembuatan jasa undangan pernikahan. Tak dapat diragukan lagi bahwa kini bisnis online memiliki prospek pasar yang cukup besar. Peluang bisnis yang terbilang cukup mudah dan murah untuk dijalankan ini mampu memberikan keuntungan besar bagi para pelaku usahanya. “Anytime Wedding Invitation” sebagai salah satu pelaku bisnis online kartu undangan pernikahan, mencoba melakukan terobosan melalui citra eksklusif yang akan dibangun yakni dengan menawarkan desain bergaya vintage berbasis vektor. Melalui metode pendekatan deskriptif dan analisis SWOT (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat), maka disusunlah konsep perancangan media online menggunakan media web dan instagram, sehingga diharapkan masih dapat menyasar pasar yang lebih luas di kota Yogyakarta.
