Abstract

Lakon-lakon wahyu dalam wayang kulit mengalami perubahan kearah perkembangan seiring dengan dinamika masyarakat. Dalam satu dasawarsa terakhir ini, jenis lakon wahyu mengalami variasi dalam hal garap unsur pakeliran terutama garap lakon. Besarnya rasa simpatik masyarakat terhadap lakon wahyu,menunjukkan bahwa lakon wahyu mampu mewadahi tuntutan kebutuhan hiburan masyarakat. Kehadiran lakon wahyu disamping memberikan hiburan masyarakat, juga masih dipercaya akan adanya keyakinan tentang wahyu dan makna lakonwahyu. Untuk mencapai kebahagiaan dan kemuliaan hidup,seseorang memertukanwahyu yang dicariakn dengan jalan laku brata, sesirih, nenepi. Kata Kunci: jenis-jenis lakon wahyu, perjalanan lakon wahyu, makna lakon wahyu.

Abstract

Since the transmission of arts education in the family is limited in Indonesia, the exploration of teaching strategy for community becomes imperative as a form of informal education. This article aims to report research results on the implementation of arts education in society through thematic community service program, namely Pos Pemberdayaan Keluarga (POSDAYA) or “family empowerment post.” This qualitative study used a project-based research method, which began by diagnosing the problems, creating a plan for activities, implementing the plan, and evaluating the results. Participants of this research were women and children from Bandung Barat Regency of West Java and students of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Data were collected from interviews, participant observation, and study documentation. The data were triangulated and interpreted. The research found a collaborative teaching strategy between students, advisors, and women who worked for POSDAYA to implement arts education for children through creating dances and musical dramas. The story in the drama contains moral values such as caring for others, appreciating one’s parents, tolerance, and environmental awareness. Implementation of arts education through the community service program conducted by students and or faculty members is beneficial to develop children’s creativity and character.

Abstract

There are many values which an artist wants to express through a shadow puppet show in order to attract the attention of the audience. Malangan shadow puppet show acts not only as an entertainment but also as a guidance for character education. In the story of Kalakerna Gugat, ethical and aesthetic values in the story are in the form of etiquette in the dialogues or the characters. The value of having rights after completing duties becomes guidance for nobleness. Equality between rights and duties demanded by Kalakerna and propriety of characters are expressed straight to the point and they are easy to understand as well as entertaining. Impropriety in the world is critically corrected. Bethara Guru Dewa, the tritagonist, felt that he made a mistake by arranging life unjustly so that he was reminded by Kalakerna and had to agree with his request to keep the justice and preserve the world.

Memasuki millenium ketiga, era industri, era teknologi era informasi, atauera gloal, menuntut semua organisasi tidak terkecuali organisasi senipertunjukan untuk lebih efektif, memenuhi kebutuhan pelanggan, danpeningkatan kualitas terus menerus, pengelolaan organisasi seni harusmengoptimalkan nsi sumber daya manusia dalam mendorong peningkatanpengetahuan dan kecakapan, serta perencanaan secara terpadu. Untukmemenuhi harapan-harapan peningkatan kualitas dan kepuasanpelanggan menuntut perubahan manajemen. Abstract

Learning the art, especially the art of dancing in the kindergarten (TK), until recently, is generally done conventionally. Teachers give examples of motions then were followed by the students, and later accompanied with music. Such activity is repeated. Learning to dance, as a matter of fact, when packaged with media, besides has optimum result; fun learning can also be obtained. Less attractive of media packaging is indicated by the various educational background of the teachers. There are only a few who really possess kindergarten educational fields. Consequently, those who have just started teaching own very little special provision relating to learning in kindergarten. It is not surprising that there are deficiencies and limitations of knowledge, skills, and creativity of teachers in utilizing the media as a means of learning in kindergarten, more specifically learning dance.Kata kunci :   pemanfaatan, media, pembelajaran , taman kanak- kanak.

Abstract

Seorang filsuf wanita dari Amerika Serikat, Susanne K. Langer, pernah berucapbahwa, musik telah mampu merasuk ke dalam umat manusia setua umurmanusia di bumi ini. Musik telah membentuk suatu buaya tersendiri di anaraseni-seni yang lainnya. Ia hadir di setiap saat dalam suatu budaya di mana punbudaya itu tumbuh. Ada semacam universalitas: di mana ada budaya di situ pulamusik bereksistensi. Rangkaian yang membentuk komunitas dalam musik itusendiri hadir sebagai sebuah harmonisasi dari alam yang melahirkannya. Dalamkomponen-komponen budaya-musik terdapat empat yang melingkupinya, yaitu:1) ide-ide tentang musik (musik dan sistem kepercayaan, estetika musik, konteksmusik); 2) organisasi sosial musik ; 3) repertoar musik (gaya, jenis aliran, teks,komposisi, transmisi, gerakan); dan 4) budaya material musik.Kata Kunci: musik, budaya, sosial, estetika, etnisitas.

Abstract

The station of the cross is an event of the Passion story of Jesus Christ carrying the cross from the Pilate’s palace to the hill of Golgotha. On that journey, Jesus endured torture and humiliation, both from Roman soldiers and Jews. Based on this story, the objective of the research is to describe the process of developing a new compositional composition based on the story of the journey in the format of a choir and a musical ensemble. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and documents. After all data has been collected, the next process is to determine the use of scales, instrumentation, and composition based on rhythmic and melodic motifs, time signature, key signature, tempo, and composition of song texts. The choice of musical signs is adjusted to the meaning of the lyrics used. The composition of the Song of the Station of the Cross which is composed is a combination of a mixed choir consisting of soprano, alto, tenor, and bass with a musical ensemble. The novelty of the composition of the Song of the Station the Cross lies in the use of the style of baroque passions (1600-1750), aria, and recitative combined with modern harmonies, namely the use of the seventh tone, the ninth tone, and the thirteenth tone of a chord, and the use of Indonesian as the whole text of the composition

Abstract

Developing learning media by adjusting it to the subject materials’ characteristics and students’ development needs to be done. Based on this concern, this research is aiming at developing picture story media that is based on value clarification technique (VCT) as an alternative value education in primary school. This research employed Research and Development (R D) study approach and specifically adapted the study model from Dick and Carey (2001). Data collection was done through documentation note, observation, questionnaire, and try out. Data that had been collected then was analysed by using qualitative and quantitative methods (mix methods). Based on the try out result, it shows that the picture story media that is being developed has fulfilled the criteria of validity, effectivity, and practicality. Besides, based on the observation results of the tests’ try out process, it shows that the media has given positive impact towards the expected learning process and results.

Abstract

Musik keroncong merupakan musik asli Indonesia karena tumbuh dan berkembang di Indonesia. Namun perkembangannya tidak sebaik jenis musik barat seperti pop, rock ataupun musik dangdut. Musik keroncong sering dianggap sebagai musik yang dikonsumsi kalangan orang tua saja karena memang peminat musik keroncong sebagian besar adalah orang tua. Seorang komponis keroncong asal Semarang yaitu Kelly Puspito tergugah untuk mengembangkan musik keroncong karena melihat musik keroncong sudah mulai ditinggalkan oleh para remaja. Kelly Puspito melakukan inovasi terhadap musik keroncong asli dengan cara mengembangkan harmonisasi atau progresi akor dengan menambahkan akor-akor yang sudah baku, melodi yang bervariasi bergerak melangkah dan melompat,  rentangan nada yang luas, ritmis bervariasi yaitu bernilai seperempatan, seperdelapanan, hingga seperenambelasan, serta interval nada yang cukup tajam baik naik maupun turun. Hal itu sesuai dengan karakteristik remaja yaitu selalu ingin berinovasi, menyukai tantangan dan ingin mencoba hal-hal yang baru. Keroncong music is an original Indonesian music since it grew and developed in Indonesia. However, its development was not as good as western music such as pop, rock, or dangdut. Keroncong music is often regarded as music consumed only by the adults since those who like the music are mostly adults. A keroncong composer from Semarang Kelly Puspito was encouraged to familiarize keroncong music since she noticed that the music has been abandoned by youngsters. Kelly has innovated the music by enhancing harmonization or accord progression by adding standard accords, more various melodies of moving forward and skipping, extensive tone stretching, variously patterned rhythmic tone by 1/4, 1/8, and even 1/16 and a sharp tone interval either ascending or descending tones. This is relevant to youngsters’ characteristics to always innovate, take challenges, and want to experiment with new things.

Abstract

Persepsi masyarakat terhadap kesenian rakyat Lengger telah berubah. Lengger pada awal kemunculannya dianggap selalu berkonotasi dengan prostitusi sekarang lengger merupakan media ekspresi estetis. Perubahan citra Lengger disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor diantaranya oleh seniman penyaji, sajian kesenian Lengger itus endiri dan masyarakat pendukung sedangkan perilaku senimannya adalah faktor terpenting. Diantara seniman lengger di wilayah Banyumas dan sekitarnya yang terkenal adalah Kampi yang banyak mempengaruhi perubahan citra Lengger sehingga dapat disebut sebagai agen perubahan. Orientasi Kampi yang didorong oleh kemampuan menari, olah vokal tata rias busana serta visi misi sebagai wujud penjelmaan diri, melalui “panembahan” tempat “ngalap berkah” telah memperoleh simpati masyarakat umum. Berubahnya kondisi mengakibatkan bertambahnya volume pentas, baik dalam rangka diundang hajatan perkawinan, rekaman studio dan acara­acara lain. Kesenian Lengger sekarang menjadi slah satu kesenian yang populer di Banyumas dan sekitarnya.Kata Kunci: Lengger, Perubahan, Ekspresi estetik.
