Abstract

One myth that is believed by people living in Duwet village is distress that threatens human beings from when they are born till the day they die. As one way to overcome the distress, people, especially those who are living in Duwet village, hold ritual called as tolak bala. One step in the ritual is self-cleaning oneself from distress or sukerta. In addition to the ritual is a masked puppet as a means of the ritual execution. Thus, this study aims at finding out the functions of the Ruwatan masked puppet. Functional-structural perspective was adopted in the study by implementing observation, interview, and documentation study techniques. Results show that masked puppet has a special function which is to serve as a means of Ruwatan that is specifically to obtain society participation in order to give spiritual support to the process of ritual as a whole tolak bala or distress expulsion process.

Abstract

Tujuan  penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan dan mengembangkan model konservasi kesenian lokal sebagai kemasan seni wisata di kabupaten Semarang. Penelitian ini akan menemukan pengembangan jenis-jenis seni pertunjukan di hotel dan resort and convention di kabupaten Semarang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan berdasar metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan Eklektif  menggunakan atau memodifikasi desain Penelitian dan Pengembangan (Educational Research Development). Data dikumpulkan melalui studi pustaka, studi dokumen, wawancara, dan observasi. Berdasar hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan, bahwa kabupaten Semarang telah mengembangkan seni pertunjukan wisata melalui hotel dan resort and convention. Adapun jenis kesenian yang dikembangkan adalah tari Gambyong, Kuda Lumping, dan Cokekan meskipun belum optimal karena kesenian yang dipertunjukkan belum benar-benar dikemas untuk kepentingan pariwisata. Bentuk model konservasi kesenian lokal sebagai kemasan seni wisata di Kabupaten Semarang yang dihasilkan adalah berupa tari Semarangan dan tari Bambang Cakil yang selanjutnya dipublikasikan melalui leaflet yang berisi tentang jenis kesenian, deskripsi singkat, penjelasan tentang durasi waktu, fungsi, harga paket kesenian. Leaflet tersebut diujicobakan di Balemong Resort and Convention. The goal of this research is to find out and develop conservation model of local art performance as tourism package in Semarang Regency. This research would identify development of kinds of performance art in hotels and resorts in Semarang regency. This research was conducted based on qualitative method by eclectic approach and used or modified Educational Research and Development design. Data was collected through library study, documentary study, interview, and observation. The findings of the research show that Semarang regency has developed tourism performance art through hotels, resorts, and conventions. The kinds of performance art include Gambyong dance, Kuda Lumping (Horse Dance), and Cokekan though they are not optimal yet since the dances have not yet been packaged for tourism performance. The forms of local conservation model as tourism package in Semarang regency are Semarangan and Bambang Cakil dances, which were later published through leaflets containing the kinds of performance art, brief description, explanation about time duration, function, price of performance art package. The leaflets had been tested in Balemong Resort and Convention.

Abstract

Bagi masyarakat Bali, Barong dianggap sebagai binatang mitologi yang mempunyai kekuatan gaib dan dianggap sebagai binatang pelindung masyarakat Bali dan mara bahaya. Dengan kekuatan ini, barong didudukkan sebagai benda sakral. Kesakralannya di samping dilegitirnosioleh   adanya mitos-mitos yang ada dalam masyarakat, juga   proses pembuotan hingga terbentuknya barong yang tidak terlepas dari hal-hal sakral. Barong diekpresikan dalam bentuk tari bebali yang amat angker. Dengan semakin terbukanya masyarakat Ball dalam menerima pengaruhbudaya dari luar, menyebabkan terjadinya perubahan polo pikir masyarakat, khususnya bagi   sang   seniman. Borong yang tadinya dianggap sebagai benda   sakral, sekarang dijadikan sebagai sumber ide dan   sarana pengungkapan emosional estetis. Barong tidak hanya dipentaskan dalam rangkaian upacara ritual sakral, namun juga di luar konteks ritual, seperti untuk kepentingan pariwisata, dengan cara membuat tiruan dari barong asli. Sudah barang tentu konsep pertunjukan yang menyangkut estetika, waktu, pemain, dan lain sebagainyo disesuaikan dengan kepentingan wisata.Kata Kunci: Barong, Transformasi, Sakral, Profan.

Demikin pula terhadap hadware dan software musik, banyak para musisi(brainware) terbantu oleh kehadirannya dalam mengaplikasikan ide-ide kebentukaudio (wave) maupun MIDI, di mana peran komputer, hadware dan software musiksangat berperan penting dalam perkembangan era musik digital saat ini.Katakunci: Komputer, Hadware, Software Musik, MIDI dan Audio Digital.

Abstract

Pornografi dapat dipahami sebagai ekspresi perilaku secara erotis, disadariatau tidak mampu untuk membangkitkan nafsu birahi dalam seks (libido).Inheren dengan fenomena pornografi tersebut, dunia tari sering disinyalirsebagai bidang yang relatif dekat (implikatif) dengan pornografi. Sinyalemenatau kesan seperti itu barangkali ada benarnya karena aktivitas tari sendirimemang lekat dengan pengolahan tubuh, sehingga layak diduga mudahmemunculkan libido orang yang menikmatinya. Kelenturan gerak dan sikapyang dilakukan oleh seorang penari tidak jarang mengundang daya pesonatertentu. Namun demikian, tari tidak selayaknya dipandang sebagai suatuproduk sebuah mesin atau unsur-unsur kebendaan, melainkan harus dipandangsebagai bagian yang integral dari eksistensi manusia itu sendiri terutamamenyangkut salah satu kebutuhan dasar manusia, yakni simbol. Sebab, sangatmungkin bahwa tujuan awal orang menari bukanlah untuk menari itu sendiri,tetapi untuk memenuhi kebutuhan simbolisasi (pernyataan diri). Sebaliknya,bila kita ingin menempatkan tari sebagai objek kajian, maka harus didasarkanperspektif yang mampu menggali latar belakang dan potensi pada tari yangbersangkutan.Kata kunci: Pornografi, Etika dan Estetika.

Abstract

  Merti Desa merupakan salah satu upacara ritual yang sudah mentradisi pada masyarakat Jawa khususnya. Merti Desa sebagai bentuk upacara ritual oleh masyarakat Gunungkidul dilaksanakan pada setiap tahun sekali, sebagai tradisi dan ungkapan rasa syukur kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa. Merti Desa juga merupakan ritual untuk mengucapkan terimakasih atas hasil panen yang telah diterimanya, serta sebagai wahana melestarikan budaya nenek moyang yang dilaksanakan secara turun temurun kepada generasi selanjutnya kepada nenek yang berujud ritus sosial masyarakat. Merti Desa dilaksanakan dalam berbagai rangkaian acara seperti upacara yang melibatkan seluruh lapisan masyarakat, dipimpin oleh Pemerintah daerah pada wilayah desa tertentu, diikuti oleh warga masyarakat setempat, oleh pemerintah atau pamong Desa upacara Merti Desa juga sekaligus dapat digunakan sebagai wahana mengajak masyarakat melestarikan dan nguri-uri tradisi warisan nenek moyang serta mengajak masyarakat mengambil hikmah dan nilai-nilai yang terkandung dalam upacara tradisi Merti Desa. Diharapkan masyarakat dapat menikmati hiburan atau tontonan serta mendapat tuntunan dan mengambil nilai filosofis yang terkandung di dalamnya, diantaranya manusia harus selalu eling lan waspodho, mengingat dan mengucapkan terimakasih kepada Bumi yang telah memberi segalanya untuk kebutuhan kehidupan manusia. Gempa Bumi yang telah terjadi tidak menghalangi warga masyarakat Gunungkidul untuk menyelenggarakan Upacara Ruwatan Desa. Ruwatan Desa dilaksanakan dengan pertunjukan wayang kulit purwa sebagai upacara tradisi masyarakat yang perlu dilestarikan, terutama konsep Merti Desa.   Kata kunci: ruwatan, ritus, wayang kulit purwa

Abstract

This study aims to explain the history and process of inheriting mask puppet art in two representative hermitages (padepokan) (in Malang, namely Padepokan Asmoro Bangun in Pakisaji sub-district and Mangun Dharma in Tumpang sub-district). This research uses a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are done through interviews, observation, and study documents. The process of inheritance includes art practices such as dancing, puppeteering, playing musical instruments, and making masks and transferring knowledge about Wayang Topeng Malangan. Inheritance is generally done since offsprings (children/grandchildren) are still at an early age. The history of the inheritance of the traditional mask puppet art in Padepokan Asmoro Bangun has occurred for six generations of this family since before 1930 starting from the Serun period. The sixth Padepokan Asmoro Bangun Heirs are two daughters named Winnie Padnecwara (15 years old) and Dita Andhika Raja Padmi (12 years old) who learned this art since the age of four. Padepokan Mangun Dharma is the home of mask puppet art, as well as music, traditional dance, and theatre, macapat, puppetry, and shadow puppets. The history of the inheritance of this hermitage began with the great-grandfather of the puppeteer Soleh namely Kek Sainten (Grandpa Sainten). The current heir of Padepokan Mangun Dharma is the son of the puppeteer Soleh, Supriyono Hadi Prasetyo, who also learned puppetry both autodidact and formally through college. Although inheritance occurs vertically, which is hereditary in each hermitage, horizontal inheritance also occurs between the two. This indicates that the inheritance process of Padepokan Asmoro Bangun and Mangun Dharma are related to each other.

Abstract

This study aims to find out need analysis of lesson planning to teach education value of Sulawesi ethnic dance which comprises learning material, teaching method and learning model, learning media, as well as an assessment instrument. A method implemented in this study was research and development (RD) with three main stages, namely, preliminary study, developmental research, and evaluation. This study, however, will only implement the first stage of study which is the preliminary study. This is implemented to perform need and content analysis. Results showed that need of lesson planning to teach education value of Sulawesi ethnic dance comprises learning material, teaching method and learning model, learning media, as well as an assessment instrument belongs to the category of “very important” and that the planning is needed by teachers in teaching Sulawesi ethnic dance value for students in primary school.

Abstract

Pendidikan Seni Budaya yang termasuk kelompok pelajaran estetika memiliki tujuan khusus yang memiliki keunikan tersendiri. Dengan demikian pembelajarannya pun dapat dilakukan secara khusus. Sifat seni sang halus, indah ini diharapkan  dapat membantuk karakter siswa menjadi siswa yang apresiatif, kreatif seperti dalam proses penciptaan dan penghayatannya. Bidang garap yang berbeda ini yang tidak semata untuk mencerdaskan diharapkan dapat menunjang tujuan pendidikan secara umum, yaitu menciptakan manusia yang berbudi luhur, kreatif, dan apresiatif. Tujuan pendidikan seni yang luhur ini masih dimarginalkan di sebagian sekolah khususnya di sekolah-sekolah kejuruan non seni. Arts and culture education as one of aesthetic subjects have its specific goals and unique characteristics. Accordingly, the learning and teaching process is done in a specific way. The refined and beautiful qualities of arts are expected to shape students’ characters to be appreciative and creative in their creation and internalization. This special field, not merely made to smarten individuals is expected to support the general education goals, which is tocreate civilized, creative, and appreciative figures.

Abstract

The interesting study is about appropriateness among content in textbook art material in SMPas source in KTSP curriculum, with teachers, students, and school condition. This researchuses qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are observation, interview, anddocumentation. Analyzing data done by using descriptive-qualitative analysis. Techniques ofchecking relevance data use cross-recheck validity. Based on the research result, writtentextbook, which distributed in schools have fulfilled material scope appropriate withcompetence expected in the curriculum, but the utilization was not in maximum. There arefew textbooks that using utilization guidance organized by “Yudhistira” publisher but theexplanation of content is less systematically. “Erlangga” publisher have explained materialsystematically but it is not enough to simulate students’ thought, however “Tiga Serangkai”publisher have presented music material completely but it is presented not interestingly. Eachpublisher has their own superiority but they also have drawback. Therefore, teachers canexploit the superiority of each publisher but cover their drawbacks with the other books.Kata Kunci : analisis, buku teks , seni budaya, KTSP
