Abstract

The lack of current infrastructure and facilities conditions results in students practicing outside the department and having to spend funds because of the lack of facilities in the metal casting workshop. The purpose of this study is to explain the layout and management of a good workshop as well as data collection of equipment and materials needed. Using descriptive methods. Data collection using questionnaires to students of the Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program class of 2019, interviews with technicians and lecturers of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, observation, and documentation. Analytical techniques used descriptive analysis techniques. The results of the study show that: (1) a good layout is a layout that meets the standards for the size of the practice room infrastructure and in accordance with the purpose and benefits of making the layout, (2) equipment and materials are tailored to the needs of students, (3) good workshop management is an implementation that applies workshop management knowledge well.

Abstract

K3 management in an industry or company becomes a contrast when problems in this domain occur. Because K3 is an element that involves humanity, law, politics and economics. With many important aspects involved, of course the responsibility in carrying out the task of managing K3 is very important. The research was conducted at PT Cemindo Gemilang , Banten with a research focus on conveyor belt machine operations. Data collection was carried out by direct observation with a type of experimental descriptive research. The points that will be discussed in this research are ISO 4500:2018 points in clause 3.21 occupational health and safety risks, K3 risks, 8.2 emergency preparedness and response, and 9.1 monitoring, measuring, analyzing and evaluating work. The research results show that PT Cemindo Gemilang has fulfilled the criteria for implementing ISO 4500:2018, ISO 4500:2018 points in clause 3.21 occupational health and safety risks, K3 risks, 8.2 emergency preparedness and response, and 9.1 monitoring, measurement, analysis and evaluation Work. Abstract

Starting from an anxiety I have as an educator in a private school, namely at SMK KRIAN 2 SIDOARJO that students are currently experiencing a decrease in learning outcomes and interest in learning. This result occurs because the teacher still provides a conventional learning model where the teacher just explains in the workshop and students immediately carry out the practice so that students do not understand in detail even though they have been given job sheets or are active in practice. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) proposed by Kemmis Taggart. This research model includes four steps, namely planning, implementation, observation, and evaluation through a number of periods. The results of period 1 show known student learning achievements whose average pretest score in cycle 1 reached 39.58, with a number of students successfully achieving or exceeding KKM scores. And in cycle 2, the average pretest score reached 50.00, with only 14.81% of the number of students who managed to reach or exceed the average KKM score. The posttest score reached 88.19%
