Abstract

K3 management in an industry or company becomes a contrast when problems in this domain occur. Because K3 is an element that involves humanity, law, politics and economics. With many important aspects involved, of course the responsibility in carrying out the task of managing K3 is very important. The research was conducted at PT Cemindo Gemilang , Banten with a research focus on conveyor belt machine operations. Data collection was carried out by direct observation with a type of experimental descriptive research. The points that will be discussed in this research are ISO 4500:2018 points in clause 3.21 occupational health and safety risks, K3 risks, 8.2 emergency preparedness and response, and 9.1 monitoring, measuring, analyzing and evaluating work. The research results show that PT Cemindo Gemilang has fulfilled the criteria for implementing ISO 4500:2018, ISO 4500:2018 points in clause 3.21 occupational health and safety risks, K3 risks, 8.2 emergency preparedness and response, and 9.1 monitoring, measurement, analysis and evaluation Work. With the "good" category. However, implementing good K3 management will also benefit every party and related aspects of an industry or company.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model on the creative thinking skills of Twelfth Class Welding Engineering students at Yabhinka Vocational High School in Cilegon. This research employs a quantitative approach and a quasi-experimental methodology. Students of Twelfth Class Welding Engineering at Yabhinka Vocational High School for the academic year 2020/2021 comprised the research sample, with of Twelfth Class Welding Engineering 1 comprising 18 student samples serving as the experimental class and class of Twelfth Class Welding Engineering 2 totaling 18 student samples serving as the control class. The data collection instrument was an essay-based, 10-question test of creative reasoning abilities. Examine the hypothesis using the Paired Sample t Test and Independent Test in this study. The posttest mean is 82.9, the mean observation value is 86.11, and the project mean is 84.14, according to the results of the study conducted in of Twelfth Class Welding Engineering 1, which employs the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model. of Twelfth Class Welding Engineering 2 students who did not use the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model achieved a posttest mean of 71.7, an observation mean of 74.56, and a project mean of 49.9. The results of hypothesis testing with the Independent t-test statistic show a significant value of 0.000 or less than 0.05, so it can be concluded that the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model has an effect on the creative thinking abilities of of Twelfth Class Welding Engineering.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis potensi bahaya dan melakukan penilaian risiko di PT. EDS Manufacturing Indonesia (Automotive Wire), Balaraja, dengan menggunakan metode HIRARC (Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control) sebagai langkah pencegahan kecelakaan kerja. Penelitian ini menggunakan cara observasi dan wawancara untuk mengidentifikasi potensi bahaya di lingkungan kerja. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa area maintenance memiliki beberapa potensi bahaya, seperti tumpahan pelumas dan gangguan mesin, yang dapat meningkatkan risiko kecelakaan kerja. Pengendalian risiko dilakukan dengan mengklasifikasikan tingkat risiko dan menerapkan tindakan preventif, seperti penggunaan alat pelindung diri dan perbaikan teknis. Kesimpulannya, penerapan metode HIRARC terbukti efektif dalam mengurangi risiko kecelakaan kerja dan meningkatkan keselamatan karyawan di PT. EDS Manufaktur Indonesia.

Abstract

Menurut data dari CNBC Indonesia tahun 2020 penjualan motor tipe matic banyak di gemari atau masih menjadi primadona hingga mencapai 87% banyaknya. Dilihat dari kalangan masyarakat sekarang banyak sekali yang menggunakan sepeda motor matic. Maka dari itu banyak penelitian yang memodifikasi demi mendapatkan akselerasi yang lebih cepat dari standarnya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah traubleshooting yaitu mengamati gejala, mengidentifikasi kerusakan, melakukan pemeriksaan dan pengukuran pada komponen atau sistem. Melakukan perawatan dan berbaikan jika ada komponen atau sistem yang teridentifikasi adanya kerusakan atau tidak sesuai ukuran, serta menentukan langkah-langkah traubleshooting yang baik dan benar sesuai SOP. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah rekomendasi langkah traubleshooting pada sistem CVT sepeda motor honda Vario 125. Dengan dilakukannya langkah troubleshooting yang baik dan benar sesuai SOP maka akan mempermudah proses pekerjaan

Abstract

The strength of the welding joint is strongly influenced by several factors, one of which is the welding position factor. This welding position also has a function, namely to adjust a position or location of the welding electrode movement, but each welding position is also very dependent on the workpiece to be welded. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of welding position on Shield Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) welded joints. The method used for this research is the first, namely searching for supporting literature, then collecting field data, then analyzing the data. The study of the V seam connection used is a zigzag swing type. The specimen or workpiece used is the SM 400 type with a thickness of about 10 mm and the electrode used is E 7016 with a diameter of 2.6 and 3.2 mm. The current used is 60 A for the manufacture of root and 100 A for the manufacture of filler and capping. Kekuatan dari sambungan pengelasan sangat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, salah satunya adalah faktor posisi pengelasan. Posisi pengelasan ini pun memiliki fungsi yaitu untuk mengatur sebuah posisi atau letak dari gerakan elektroda las, akan tetapi setiap posisi pengelasan ini pun sangat bergantung pada benda kerja yang akan dilas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh posisi pengelasan terhadap sambungan las Shield Metal Arc Welding (SMAW). Adapun metode yang dipakai untuk penelitian ini adalah yang pertama yaitu mencari literatur-literatur penunjang, selanjutnya adalah pengumpulan data lapangan, lalu kemudian analisis data. Penelitian sambungan kampuh V yang digunakan adalah jenis ayunan zig-zag. Spesimen atau benda kerja yang dipakai adalah jenis SM 400 dengan tebal sekitar 10 mm dan elektroda yang digunakan ialah E 7016 dengan diameter 2,6 dan 3,2 mm. Arus yang dipakai adalah 60 A untuk pembuatan root dan 100 A untuk pembuatan filler dan capping.

Abstract

Tingginya tingkat pengangguran lulusan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) menunjukkan adanya ketidaksesuaian antara keterampilan yang diajarkan dan kebutuhan industri. Kurikulum Merdeka hadir sebagai solusi dengan menekankan pembelajaran berbasis proyek (Project-Based Learning/PjBL), namun keterbatasan bahan ajar yang sesuai masih menjadi kendala dalam implementasinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan buku ajar fase F pengelasan Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) berbasis PjBL guna meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran di SMK. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan 4D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Pengembangan dilakukan melalui analisis kebutuhan, perancangan, validasi ahli, uji coba lapangan, dan penyebaran terbatas. Validasi ahli materi menunjukkan tingkat kelayakan sebesar 85% dengan kategori "layak", sementara uji respon siswa menunjukkan tingkat penerimaan sebesar 76,3% dengan kategori "baik". Efektivitas buku ajar diuji menggunakan uji N-Gain, yang menghasilkan skor 0,84, menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman siswa. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah buku ajar berbasis PjBL yang dikembangkan telah memenuhi standar kelayakan dan efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran pengelasan GMAW di SMK. Buku ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan keterampilan siswa sesuai dengan tuntutan industri, serta mendukung implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka dalam pendidikan kejuruan.

Abstract

The development of the manufacturing industry is driven by society's demand for goods and services, with CNC laser cutting machines playing a crucial role due to their speed, accuracy, and flexibility. This article emphasizes the importance of preventive maintenance to maintain optimal performance, avoid downtime, and extend the machine's lifespan. Through literature studies and surveys, the research highlights the significance of routine checks on key components, cleaning, the use of checklists, and the detection of potential damage. Challenges include the need for skilled technicians, proper equipment, and team coordination. Systematic preventive maintenance enhances operational efficiency, reduces costs, and ensures uninterrupted machine performance, with careful planning and continuous training being key to success.

Abstract

Low student learning outcomes in certain competency elements of vocational education raise concerns about the adequacy of supporting factors, particularly facilities and infrastructure. This study aims to examine the influence of workshop facilities and infrastructure in the TKRO practicum on student learning outcomes at SMK Negeri 5 Kota Serang. Using a quantitative approach with a descriptive method, data were collected from classes XI TKR 1 and XI TKR 2, totaling 73 students selected through simple random sampling. The research data passed statistical assumption tests and were further analyzed using simple linear regression, yielding an R Square value of 0.119. This indicates that workshop facilities and infrastructure contribute 11.9% to the variation in student learning outcomes. It can be concluded that although the influence is not dominant, facilities and infrastructure still significantly affect student achievement. The findings of this study are expected to serve as a reference for schools and policymakers in evaluating and improving vocational workshop facilities to enhance educational quality. Furthermore, this research highlights the importance of integrating physical resources with pedagogical practices to maximize their impact. One of the study's novel contributions is the identification of a gap between perceived adequacy of facilities and actual student performance, which emphasizes the need for better alignment between infrastructure use and instructional design. Therefore, improving learning outcomes in vocational education requires not only complete facilities but also competent teaching, motivated learners, and a structured learning environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing school readiness in implementing the Teaching Factory (TEFA) in the Mechanical Engineering Department of SMKN 2 Serang. The Teaching Factory is a learning model that integrates classroom learning with real industrial work situations, aiming to improve students' competencies and entrepreneurial spirit. This research employs a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The population consists of all teachers and TEFA managers in the Mechanical Engineering Department of SMKN 2 Serang, totaling 15 people, using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through closed-ended questionnaires and analyzed using factor analysis. The results show that seven key factors influence the school's readiness to implement TEFA: management, workshop-laboratory, learning-training patterns, marketing and promotion, product and service development, human resources, and industrial partnerships. These factors are interrelated and must be developed optimally to ensure effective TEFA implementation and maximize its benefits for both students and the school. The study recommends strengthening collaboration with industries, improving teachers' competencies, and developing adequate facilities and infrastructure to support the successful implementation of TEFA.

Abstract

This study aimed to know: 1.) Describe the development of augmented reality books in the differential system; and 2.) Analyze the feasibility level of the application on the augmented reality book differential system. This study uses research and development (R&D) with the waterfall development design model, which includes four stages: analysis, design, coding or implementation, and testing. This study's sample was 11th-grade vocational high school students majoring in automotive light vehicle engineering. Application testing uses black-box testing by testing functionality without testing the internal structure or function of the application. The data collection used in this study included three media experts, three material experts, and 30 user responses (students) with data analysis techniques using descriptive analysis. The results of this study are (1) augmented reality books and applications on the android platform as learning media on the differential system, and (2) feasibility analysis by media expert validation with an average value of 80%, material experts with an average value of 84% and user responses with an average value of 90 % with a total value of 85% with the 'very eligible' category to be used as a learning medium in the differential system of chassis and power transfer competencies. Research products can be used as an attractive alternative learning media by utilizing digital technology that can display 3D objects in detail on the competence of the differential system.
