Abstract

Based on the initial observation held at SDN Kandri 2 Semarang, it was found that there was a problem with the teaching process. The teacher just gave too short explanation about the passage and the students were asked to read the more complete passage in the students’ worksheet by themselves but the teacher didn’t give them more explanation and intensive guidance. As a consequence, it resulted in the students’ achievement. The students couldn’t reach minimum completeness grade criteria. All of them got under 60. The implementation of PAKEM approach by using demonstration method is expected to improve the students’ achievement in Social Science class. The class action research is applied in a four step cycle consists of planning, application, observation, and reflection. The PAKEM approach was implemented in those four steps. The subject of the research is the students of fourth grade of SDN Kandri 2 Semarang. There are 13 students. The focuses of the research are teacher’s skill, students’ activity, and students’ achievement. The tools for gathering data are observation, test, and documentation. The technique of data analysis in this class action research is descriptive analysis. The result of the analysis shows the teacher’s skill in cycle I is 56,25%, it’s  enough. The cycle II is 72%, is belongs to good category, and the cycle III is 91% it’s excellent. The result of the students’ activity in cycle I is 63% ; it’s enough, cycle II is good with 70%, and 92% for cycle III is excellent. The completeness in initial condition was only 5 of 13 students reached the minimum completeness criteria. The average of students’ learning result in the implementation of PAKEM approach by using demonstration method in Social Science teaching is 69 in cycle I with classical completeness 61,5%, while the cycle II is 74,6% with classical completeness 77% and is cycle III is 86,9 with classical completeness 92,3%. Based on the result above, it is suggested the demonstration method should be implemented to all grades and need to be experimented in other lessons. Abstract

The results of preliminary observations are carried out showed that the teachers are still not quite right in applying the methods of teaching and engage students in learning about. Exhaustiveness classical value only reached 39% by Minimum Criteria for Completeness is 70. The purpose of this research are: (1) improve the skills of classroom teachers SDN Pakintelan 03 in implementing the learning of mathematics, (2) increasing the activity of class V students of SDN 03 Pakintelan in implementing the learning of mathematics; improve student learning outcomes SDN Pakintelan 03 class V in the material eye math. The research was conducted in 03 road SDN Pakintelan Langkir, Pakintelan Village, District Gunungpati. The subject of this study were teachers and students of class V were 36 students. Variable of this study were (1) the skills of teachers, (2) student activity, and (3) student learning outcomes. Data collection techniques used were observation, test documentation, and records of activities. The results showed melelui KAS method can improve the teaching skills of teachers, student activities, and student learning outcomes. Percentage increase from the thoroughness student learning cycle by 76% I, II cycles by 89%. By looking at the data above it is advisable KAS method can be used by teachers in implementing the learning. The conclusions of this study is the KAS method can improve the skills of teachers; KAS methods can improve student learning activities; KAS methods can improve student learning outcomes. Therefore, it is recommended that teachers should be able to use traditional methods to improve teaching skills KAS, activities, and student learning outcomes. Abstract

Problem formulation in the research of this class action is 1) why scrabble games can increase teacher skill in IC class SDN Petompon 02 Semarang? 2) Why scrabble games can increase student activities in IC class SDN Petompon 02 Semarang? 3) Why scrabble games can increase reading correct? 4) why scrabble games can be contain of the text has purposes increase vocabulary. The Research subjects were class I students who amounted 40 children consisted of 22 boys and 18 girls. The research lasted during three cycles. Variables /factors were investigated in this research are the skills of teachers, student learning activies, reading corect, and contain of the text. Comparing the results between cycles I, cycle II with the cycle III and during the implementation of research result, then discussed with colleagues who acted as observers. Results of this research indicate an increase in the quality of teacher skills, student learning activities, reading corect,and contain of the text  through scrabble games. The average skill of teachers increased from 72,22% to the category of sufficient (cycle I) to 80,56% good category (cycle II) and 86,12% with a very good category (cycle III). The average student activities increased from 68,67% to the category sufficient (cycle I), became75,25% with a good category (cycle II), and became 82,67% with a very good category (cycle III). Reaiding corect increas from skor 13,25 good category (cycle I) increased from 13,63% very good kategory.  The contain the text creased from 72,5% (cycle I), became 77,5%(cycle II), and became 80% (cycle III). Based on results of this reading through scrabble games increased of teacher skill, increased of  student learning activities, increased of reading corect, and increased contain of text. Abstract

Based preliminary observation on the SDN Kalibanteng Kidul 01 Semarang. The writer found a problem in social fifth grade of learning. The teachers did not use an innovative learning model and instructional media, so it made the passive students have no spirit to follow the learning process. By implementing cooperative learning model type Make A Match is expected to improve the students achievment on social learning. Classroom action research was conducted with four steps they are planning, execution, observation and reflection using implement cooperative learning model type Make A Match. The subject of this research was the teacher and 48 students on the fifth grade of SDN Kalibanteng Kidul 01 Semarang, consist of 27 male and 21 female. The variables of this study were the skill of teachers, students activity, and students achievement. In this study, the writer using observation, test and documentation. And for the data analysis of this study using descriptive analysis. The result of this study showed an average score of teacher’s skill in the cycle I was 3,5 with excellent category, the cycle II was 3,7 with excellent category and the cycle III was 3,9 with excellent category too. The average of student activity in cycle I was 3,0 with very good category, cycle II was 3,7 with very good category and the last in cycle III was 3,8 with very good category too. The exhaustiveness student learning in the initial condition only 2 from 48 students who achieve KKM (65). The average of process social learning which obtained by applying cooperative learning model of type Make A Match cycle I was 62,27 and 26 from 48 students experiencing learning exhaustiveness with percentage 54,16%. In cycle II was 71,46 and 36 from 48 students had studied with the percentage of completeness 75%. In cycle III was 79,90 and 41 from 48 students had studied with the thoroughness percentage 85,41%. Based on the resut of this study, it can be conclude that by applying a type of cooperative learning model Make A Match can improve the quality of learning social studies of the fifth grade of SDN Kalibanteng Kidul 01 Semarang. The advice that can be given is a model of cooperative type Make A Match is need to be applied and develope because it can improve teacher’s skill, students activity and learning achievement so it can influence the improvement of social learning. Abstract

This Research background is the lower quality of Social Study to comprehend blind map of Central Java Province. It’s caused by predominate teacher in the class; way of teacher submit separated items; lack of managing class; and lack of giving reinforcement to student. The impact which emerge ability of student does not expand, student quickly go against the stomach, and not enthusiastic in learning in Social Studies. This condition is still happened in class of IV Ngijo 01 elementary school, District of Gunungpati, Semarang. Target of this research are (1) To describe the improvement of teacher skill in comprehend blind map of Central Java Province; (2) To describe the improvement of student activities of Grade IV Ngijo 01 elementary school, District of Gunungpati, Semarang, in comprehending blind map of Central Java Province; (3) To improve student result learn of grade IV Ngijo 01 elementary school, District of Gunungpati, Semarang, in comprehending blind map of Central Java Province. The researcher uses a collecting data technique, that is observation, test, documentation, enquette, interview, and field note. The subject of the research are 29 students and teacher of grade IV. From the research which have been done, hence, there is an improvement of teacher skill value, the following: amount of cycle score of I is 20 with value of B, cycle of II is 25 with value of A, and cycle of III is 29 with value A. While, the improvement of student activities, the following: cycle score mean of I is 10,25 with value of C, cycle of II is 14 with value of B, and cycle of III is 16,8 with value of A. Result learn to mount, from cycle of I equal to 41%, cycle of II equal to 86%, and cycle of III equal to 90%. The conclusion of this research are (1) improvement of teacher skill in comprehend blind map of Central Java Province  by webbed model (2) the improvement of student activities of Grade IV Ngijo 01 elementary school, District of Gunungpati, Semarang, in comprehending blind map of Central Java Province by webbed model (3) the improvement of student result learn, in comprehending blind map of Central Java Province by webbed model. Researcher suggest the teacher to change the paradigm that webbed model just for applied in low class, because webbed model also can improve the quality of Social study in high class in comprehending blind map of Central Java Province. Abstract

Based on preliminary observations in elementary Tambakaji Ngaliyan Semarang District 05 found problems in learning social studies teacher in fourth grade that is less varied in using learning methods. Teachers not only explain the material and use of learning media. Many things are abstract in the IPS so that learning is not suitable if the material presented in the conventional course. Learning is too monotonous and less involved students, so students are passive, impact students interest in learning social studies is lacking. This led to student learning outcomes are still low. Formulation of the problem in this study were: (1) Does the model of cooperative learning techniques two stay-two stray elementary school teachers can improve their skills in teaching Tambakaji 05? (2) Does using the model of cooperative learning techniques two stay-two stray fourth grade student activity Tambakaji 05 can be increased? (3) Does using the model of cooperative learning techniques two stay-two stray students fourth grade Tambakaji 05 will increase?. Classroom Action Research objectives are: (1) To improve teachers skills in teaching social studies with a model of cooperative learning techniques two stay-two stray in District 05 Elementary Tambakaji Ngaliyan Semarang City. (2) To enhance the learning activities of students in the IPS model of cooperative learning techniques with two stay-two stray on the SD 05 District Tambakaji Ngaliyan Semarang City (3) To improve learning outcomes in students social studies fourth grade Tambakaji District 05 Ngaliyan Semarang City. The research was conducted in the second study cycle, each cycle consists of planning, implementation of action, observation, and reflection. Research subjects is the Teacher and Students fourth grade Tambakaji 05, amounting to 29 students consisting of 15 male students and 14 female students. The variables of this study is teacher skills, student activities, and student learning outcomes. Tool used is the test data, observations, field notes, and documentation. Analysis of the data in this classroom action research using quantitative and qualitative analysis. The results of this study showed an average score of skills of teachers in the cycle I 2.8 with an average percentage of 70% with good category and the average score of 3.3 second cycle teachers skills with the percentage of 83% in the category very well. average score of student activity in the cycle I 2.85 with the percentage of 71% in the category of good and cycle II 3.22 with the percentage of 80.5% in the category very well. Exhaustiveness learning outcomes of the cycle I and cycle II increased. Exhaustiveness classical learning of students in the initial conditions before the action has only 51%. Having done the action research cycles I exhaustiveness classical to 69%. After a second cycle of exhaustiveness classical action showed 83%, or as many as 23 students who have thoroughly studied. Based on the results of these studies can be concluded that the model of cooperative learning techniques with two stay-two stray can improve the quality of teaching social studies in fourth grade students Tambakaji 05 Ngaliyan District of Semarang. From the research it is advisable for teachers to use cooperative learning techniques model a two stay-two stray in teaching social studies as well as trying on other subjects. Abstract

Based on preliminary data obtained in SDN Sekaran 01 Semarang found the problem  about social learning studies in IV grade. Teacher does not use an innovative learning model and the activities are not centered on students learning. Students tend to be passive in the learning that results in low students activities outcomes. Therefore, there is needed for action  to improve the quality of learning social studies. One of them by using the cooperative learning model  and Course Review Horay type. Problem formulation in this research is whether the cooperative learning model and Course Review Horay type can improve  teachers skill, students activities, and students learning outcomes on improvement social studies?. This study aims to (1) teacher skill in increasing social studies learning, (2) increasing the activity of students in social studies learning, and (3) students improvement outcomes in social studies learning. The study is a classroom action research using cooperative learning model and Course Review Horay type. The study was conducted during three cycles, each cycle consisting of four stages including planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Research subjects are teacher and fourth grade students  SDN Sekaran 01 Semarang District. Data collection techniques use observation sheets, interview, test and documentation. The results of this study indicate that: the cycle of teacher skills I obtained an average score of 2.6 with good criterion. Activity students obtain an average score of 2.3 with good criterion. Learning out comes of students obtaining the average value of 66 with the percentage of 44% completeness. In cycle II, the skills of teachers increase to an average score of 3.2 with good the criteria very well. Students activity increase to an average score of 2.6 with good criterion. The results of learning increase with the average value of 71 and 67% the percentage of completeness. In cycle III the average score of skills of teachers increase to 3.8 with good the criteria very well. Average score of student activity increase to 3.5 with good the criteria very well. The average value of student learning outcomes reached 82 and the percentage reaches 93% completeness. Once action is taken on the third cycle shows that a significant increasing of teacher skill, student activities, and learning out comes on indicators and success. Therefore, through the cooperative learning model and Course Review Horay  type can improve the quality of learning. Suggestions for teacher to improve the quality of learning is needed to develop an innovative model of learning by using the cooperative learning model and Course Review Horay type. Abstract

Based on preliminary data which were obtained through the observations first grade of SDN Kalibanteng Kidul 01, Semarang city was found some problems in learning processes. The less maximum of the teacher in using 8 teaching skill impact on not maximum of student activities. The lack of variety and innovation in learning processes to make the students do actvities that are inconsistent with learnin. It is an impact on students’activity and result learning. Formulation of the problem in this study were: (1) Does model of Snowball Throwinglearning can improve the teacher skill in learning processes of SDN Kalibanteng Kidul 01 Semarang city? (2) Does model  Snowball Throwing learning can improve students’ activities in learning processes of SDN Kalibanteng Kidul 01 Semarang city? The research goals of this class action are: (1) To increase the teachers’ skills by applying the model of Snowball Throwing. (2) To increase the students’ activities in learning by applying the model ofSnowball Throwing. (3) To increase learning quality by applying the model of Snowball Throwing. This research is classroom action research using a model of Snowball Throwinglearning. It counsist of  three cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, execution, observations and reflection. The subject of this research were the teachers and the students on fifth  grade of SDN Kalibanteng Kidul 01 Semarang city. Data collection techniques using the test techniques, observation, documentation and The result showed that the teacher’s skill has increassed. On first cycle the teachers’ skill get a score with average 2,5 which included in good category. On second cycle the techers’ skill get score with average 3,4 which included in very good category. On third scycle the techers’ skill get score with average3,4 which included in very good category.The increase also occured in students activities. On first cycle the students activities get score with average 3,0 which included in good category, and on second cycle the students activities get score with average 3,53 which included in very good category. and on third cycle the students activities get score with average 3,56 which included in very good category. On first cycle the learning result getaverage 67,6 with percentage 63% students is success in learning., on second cycle the learning result increasing get average 73,5 with persentagen73,9% students  is success in learning. On third cycle the learning result get average 76,5 with percentage 84,7% students is successin learning. This shows that percentage of learning result 80% so is success full. Conclusion from classroom action research by model of Snowball Throwing learning can be increase teacher skill in learning IPS. To increase the students’ activities in learning by applying the model ofSnowball Throwing. (3) To increase learning quality by applying the model of Snowball Throwing. Discussing was a popular method in PGSD departement because this method wais cheap and easy. It was always used in Bahasa Indonesia lecturing. The quality of discussing was low because less participans. The quality of discussing was improved by classroom action research. Abstract

Learning Process IPS at SDN 1 Bedana Kab. Banjarnegara still use the less innovative learning model, so that students are not active, without being able to criticize the concept of IPS like. This causes the students passive and low learning outcomes. Type of cooperative learning jigsaw model is one solution to resolve the issue. Formulation of the problem in this study are: 1) Does the type of cooperative learning jigsaw model student learning outcomes can be improved in? 2) Is the model of the type of cooperative learning jigsaw activity students can be increased? 3) Does the type of jigsaw model of cooperative learning activities teachers can be increased?. Classroom Action Research goal is to describe the application of the type of jigsaw cooperative learning model in teaching social studies in an effort to increase student activity and to determine the learning outcomes of students in learning social studies. Research methodologies used include the entire student class V which amounts to 27 children consisted of 15 male students and 12 female students. The variables of this study are the skills of teachers, student activities, and student learning outcomes. This study lasted for three cycles. Data collection tool that is used is observation, tests, and documentation. Analysis of the data in this class action research using descriptive analysis. In this study the type of jigsaw cooperative learning stages are as follows: 1) The teacher divides students into groups of 4-5 people consisting of the original. 2) Each student in the group had different tasks. 3) Students who received the same material gathered into a group of experts. 4) Students in the expert group discussions. 5) Students kekelompok original return and explain the results of discussions at the expert group. 6) The teacher gives a quiz to students. 7) Teachers give rewards to the group receiving the best value. The results showed achievement cycle I obtained the lowest score of 90 and 40 the highest average of 71.07 with 67.9% completeness learning, student activity score of 17.55 and earned both criteria, the activity score of 2.55 and a teacher obtained a good criterion. Cycle II, the lowest value of 45 top 100 and an average of 74.4 with a classical exhaustiveness 74.07%, the activity of the students obtained better scores 20.59 and criteria, the activity score of 2.77 and a teacher obtained a good criterion. Cycle III of the lowest 60 highest values ​​obtained 100 and the average 85.5 and 92.5% completeness classical learning, student activity score of 3.40 is obtained and the criteria very well, the activity score of 3.44 obtained by teachers and the criteria very well. Based on the research results can be concluded that the model type of jigsaw cooperative learning can enhance the activity of students and teachers and student learning outcomes in teaching social studies class V Elementary School District 01 Bedana Banjarnegara. Jigsaw types of learning methods should be more socialized to be more understandable for the students, teachers, and all the elements of education.
