Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji pengaruh manajemen pendidik/tenaga kependidikan terhadap kinerja guru, pengaruh pemberian kompensasi terhadap kinerja guru, dan pengaruh manajemen pendidik/tenaga kependidikan dan pemberian kompensasi secara simultan terhadap kinerja guru. Dalam penelitian ini, digunakan desain penelitian ex-post facto. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode angket dengan sampel adalah 30 orang guru dan dianalisis dengan distribusi frekuensi dan diuji menggunakan korelasi Pearson. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masing-masing manajemen pendidik/tenaga kependidikan dan pemberian kompensasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja guru. Secara simultan, manajemen pendidik/tenaga kependidikan dan pemberian kompensasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja guru. Dalam kaitan dengan hasil penelitian ini, semua pihak diharapkan meningkatkan mutu manajemen pendidikan dan memperhatikan kompensasi sehingga kinerja guru dapat ditingkatkan dalam rangka meningkatkan mutu pendidikan. This study deals with the effect of the management of educational personnels and teachers’ compensation on the teachers’ performance. An ex-post facto research design is used in this study. The data were collected from 30 teachers and analysed by using frekuency distribution and tested by using Pearson correlation. The result shows the management of educational personnels and teachers’ compensation had a positive and significant effect on the teachers’ performance, both individually or simultaneously. It is suggested that the quality of management should be improved and the teachers’ compensation should be well-provided so as to improve the quality of education.

Abstract

Karya ilmiah merupakan salah satu sarana penyebaran ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi (Iptek). Saat menyusun karya ilmiah, sebagian besar mahasiswa mengeluhkan kesulitan mengorganisasikan isi dan menerapkan kaidah-kaidah penulisan karya ilmiah sehingga banyak kesalahan berbahasa yang timbul, khususnya oleh mahasiswa nonjurusan bahasa. Oleh karena itu, harus segera dicari solusi untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, salah satu teknik untuk meminimalkan kesalahan berbahasa yaitu dengan teknik koreksi tidak langsung. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini dilaksanakan dalam tiga tahap: prasiklus, siklus I, dan siklus II. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya penurunan tingkat kesalahan berbahasa pada penyusunan karya ilmiah dengan menerapkan teknik koreksi tidak langsung pada setiap tindakan, baik tindakan prasiklus, siklus I, dan siklus II. Secara keseluruhan mengalami penurunan rata-rata sebesar 25,06%. Jumlah rata-rata kesalahan berbahasa pada tahap prasiklus sebesar 24%, pada siklus II jumlah rata-rata kesalahan berbahasa menurun menjadi 13,75%. Setelah diterapkan teknik koreksi tidak langsung, mahasiswa dapat meminimalisasi kesalahan berbahasa dalam penyusunan karya ilmiah, serta terdapat persepsi dan kesan positif dari mahasiswa pada perkuliahan Mata Kuliah Umum bahasa Indonesia. Academic writing is one of the tools of dissemination science and technology. When developing academic writing, most of the students have difficulties in organizing and applying the rules of academic writing. It caused many language errors arise, particularly for non language departement students. Therefore, solutions must be sought to overcome these problems. One of the techniques to minimize language errors is indirect correction technique. This classroom action research was conducted in three phases: pre cycle, cycle 1 and cycle 2. The results show that the level of language errors in the preparation of academic writing are decreases by applying the indirect correction technique. Overall an average decline of 25,06%. The average number of language errors pre cycle by 24%, the second cycle of the average number of language errors decreased to 13,75% %. After indirect correction technique applied, it could minimize language errors in the preparation of academic writing for students non language departement, and there are perceptions and positive impressions from the students at general course Indonesian language.

Abstract

This research was conducted at State Elementary School 04 of KarangtalunCilacap involving 16 male six graders. The observation of three cyles showed that thestudents improved their smash skill. The basic movement skill in cycle I improvedfrom 25% to 42%. In cyle II, the basic movement skill improved from 42% to 57%. Incycle III the improvement was from 57% to 78%. The results indicated that the theindicator was achived in that 75% players mastered the expected smash basicmovement. Therefore, it is concluded that skill improvement could improve thekedeng smash skill inTakraw game for elementary students in Cilacap Regency.Kata kunci : smash kedeng, permainan sepak takraw, anak sekolah dasar

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: (1)  mendeskripsikan  model  instrumen asesmen  yang digunakan oleh guru untuk mendeteksi pencapaian perkembangan fisik motorik anak usia dini pada Taman Kanak-Kanak (TK), (2)  mengembangkan  instrumen asesmen   pencapaian perkembangan fisik motorik anak usia dini di  TK  yang   kreteria valid, reliabel,  dan goodness of  fit statistic. Penelitian ini menggunakan model Research and Development dari  Plomp sebagai berikut, yaitu: (1) mengkaji  teori, hasil penelitian, dan instrumen asesmen  yang digunakan  guru, (2) mendesain konstruks,  indikator, deskriptor,  item instrumen, menetapkan  skor, dan pedoman penggunaan instrumen. (3)   validasi  keterbacaan instrumen,  validasi  expert, dan validasi dengan focus group discussion. (4)   uji  empirik  dengan  menggunakan subjek coba   anak Taman Kanak-Kanak, dan (5) mensosiaalisaikan  model. Hasilnya menunjukkan: (1) Ada tiga model instrumen asesmen yang digunakan guru TK, yaitu  model isntrumen asesmen berbasis kompetensi, berbasis perkembangan anak, dan berbasis semester, (2)  Instrumen asesmen pencapaian perkembangan fisik motorik  anak usia dini  adalah  valid, reliabel, dan goodness of  fit statistic karena  faktor loading item terkecil adalah, 0,830 (>0,50), koefisiensi reliabilitas Cronbach’s Alpha terkecil 0,946 (α>0,70), P-value  >0,05 dan  root mean square error of approximation (RMSEA) < 0,05. The objectives of this research : (1) to describe  the achievement assessment instrument of early childhood   psychomotor development    used by teachers  at  kindergarten, (2) to develop an assessment instrument for achievement of    psychomotoric development  of early childhood at kindergartens which meet the criteria of validity, reliability, and goodness of fit  statistic. This research is Reserach Devolepment as follows: (1) reviewing  the theory, research, and assessment instruments used by teachers, (2) construct design, indicators, descriptors, item instrument, set score, and guidelines for the use of the instrument. (3) validation of the instrument legibility,   expert validity, and by focus group discussion. (4) using the empirical test subject trying to kindergarten children, and (5) disseminate the model. The results show: (1) There are three models of the instruments used kindergarten teacher, that are: the competency-based model, based on a child’s development, and the semester-based, (2) assessment instrument attainment of physical motor development of early childhood is valid, reliable, and goodness of fit statistic because it is the smallest factor loading items, 0.830 (> 0.50), Cronbach’s Alpha reliability coefficient of 0.946 smallest (α> 0.70), P-value> 0.05 and root mean square error of approximation (RMSEA) <0.05.

Abstract

In the Indonesian school system, English is a compulsory subject taught atvarious education levels with the emphasis on reading and writing skills. In spite ofthe importance of mastering reading and writing skills, most high school students arestill unable to read and comprehend English texts properly. Besides, it is hard for themto write a simple English text appropriately. One possible way to solve the problem isby applying new strategies to improve their reading and writing skills. One of thestrategies that can sufficiently be used is cooperative learning. It is a teachingarrangement that refers to small, heterogeneous groups of students working together toachieve a common goal (Kagan, 1994). There are some types of cooperative learning,one of them is CIRC. This type may be suitable for teaching reading and writing. Itwas shown in the action research involving year VIII students of Isriati Junior HighSchool of Semarang, Indonesia. The study was conducted in five cycles and aiming atknowing the effective interaction in the language classroom. Through theimplementation of the study, the students' average scores increased in each cycle.Besides, they looked creative and enthusiastic when they were working in groups.Kata kunci: pembelajaran membaca, metode Cooperative Learning

Abstract

Homeschooling is a relatively new term in the Indonesian education. TheDepartment of National Education (Depdiknas) officially introduces homeschooling as"Sekolah-Rumah". Homeschooling emerges from persistent problems the nationaleducation system faces, such as the frequent changes of curriculum, pros and cons ofthe national examination and examination passing criteria, student enrollment system,and the very expensive education cost. Based on those grounds, homeschoolingbecomes an education alternative for parents to develop their children’s potency. Inhomeschooling, there is no limitation in developing the model of mathematicsteaching. The teaching method applied is one that suits the children’s learning stylebest. To improve the effectiveness of mathematics teaching in homeschooling, thingsand activities of the children’s daily life are used. The challenge of the parents inteaching mathematics to homeschool students is how to understand mathematicconcepts which are relevant to the chosen homeschoool curriculum and how totransform them into ideas adjusted to children’s competence.Kata kunci: Homeschooling, sekolah-rumah, pembelajaran matematika

Abstract

Language is not static. It undergoes evolution in all aspects: meaning, structure, and use. Nowadays Indonesian language develops in an unregular way. The research intended to detect the change of some words which are frequently used but seems in another way as before. As method, it adopted the qualitative approach and used the theory of syntax, morphology, and pragmatics as reference to analyse the data. The data was gathered from televison and newspapers, in the form of words, clauses, or phrases.The respondents were a group of people in the domain of education, administration, dan arts. To analyse their input, the cross-check between it and those of two experts in Indonesian language has been made. As reference, we used dictionnaries, grammar books, and pragmatic books. The result showed that about 15 words undergo evolution and need attention from Pusat Bahasa. The institute should decide whether the changes should be legalized or it’s the teaching of Indonesian language which must be improved. Kata kunci: evolusi, morfologi, sintaksis, pragmatik

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendiskripsikan dan menganalisis perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi manajemen Program Kejar Paket C di PKBM Sarana Maju Kota Tegal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui studi kasus, subyek penelitian Penyelenggara, tutor, dan warga belajar. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data primer dan sekunder. Teknik pengumpulan data pada dilakukan dengan tiga cara yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan beberapa hal sebagai berikut : 1) Perencanaan program berdasarkan kebutuhan belajar masyarakat, 2) Pelaksanaan program dikelola seperti pendidikan formal ditambah dengan praktek pendidikan ketrampilan hidup, 3) Evaluasi program meliputi evaluasi formatif, sumatif dan evaluasi akhir. The purpose of this study to describe and analyze the planning, implementation and evaluation of program management Kejar Paket C di PKBM Sarana Maju Kota Tegal.This study used a qualitative approach through case studies, research subjects organizers, tutors and resident learning. The type of data used are primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques to be done in three ways: observation, interview and documentation. The results of this study suggest some of the following: 1) Planning learning programs based on the needs of the community, 2) Implementation of the program is managed as formal education coupled with practical life skills education, 3) Evaluation of the program includes evaluasiformatif, summative and final evaluation.

Abstract

The aim of this learning research with approach contextual with vision of thisSETS is to improve the environmental learning quality with indicators: enthusiastic,result of ledming and classical completed. The conclusion of this research areenthusiastic result of learning and classical completed improved. Cycle 1: 33,33%student is very enthusiastic, the average of learning result is 74,56, the classicalcompleted is 86,67%. Abstract

The research was aimed to know the effectiveness of picture as media inteaching kuremasu in Japanese Structure class. The research is quantitative. The datawere the students’ ability after attending kuremasu presented through picture. Themethod of the research is experimental. The data were analyzed with t-test. The resultshowed that most of the students’ ability improved after having the picture as a mediain teaching kuremasu.Kata kunci : kuremasu, media gambar
