Abstract

Daun Sirsak banyak ditemukan di Kelurahan Mangunsari, Semarang. Daun ini mempunyai kegunaan sebagai obat kanker. Keunggulan daun sirsak dapat meningkatkan sistem kekebalan tubuh dan menjadi suplemen antioksidan bagi kesehatan. Masyarakat belum banyak tahu tentang manfaat daun sirsak  terlebih sebagai obat tradisional dan lampu hias meja di rumah. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah sosialisasi manfaat daun sirsak sebagai obat untuk kesehatan, melatih aplikatif cara membuat lampu hias dari daun sirsak. Cara pembuatan daun sirsak menjadi lampu hias adalah daun sirsak berwarna hijau tua direndam dalam air bilasan beras, selama 3-4 minggu terfermentasi sehingga daging daun bisa terlepas dan tinggal tulang daunnya. Selanjutnya tulang daun sirsak dikeringkan dirangkai dan tulang daun disusun menjadi kelopak bunga dan dilengkapi dengan fitting, bola lampu, dan kawat serta kabel. Setelah itu batang diisolatif warna hijau dan diberi daun. Beberapa rangkaian bunga dipadukan jadi satu dilengkapi saklar dan pot, sehingga menjadi lampu hias.

Abstract

Tofu is famous as a favorite, healthy, nutritious and cheap food in Indonesia. The tofu industry has been growing rapidly in this country in the form of household scale businesses or MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises). Among the tofu MSME centers in Semarang is the one in Sumurrejo Village, Gunungpati District. Sumurrejo village has various business potentials that are capable of driving the community’s economy, especially the entrepreneurship of tofu and tempeh MSMEs, as well as dairy and beef cattle farming. The MSMEs in this area are growing rapidly and able to improve the economy of the local community. In spite of this positive impact, the existence of tofu industry also has a negative effect since its waste causes environmental pollution problems. One of them is tofu dreg waste which can cause pollution to the environment due to its bad smell, organic matters content, and putrefaction potential. One effort to overcome this problem is to process the tofu dreg waste into animal feed. Tofu waste has high nutritions which consist of 8.66% protein, 3.79% fat, 51.63% water and 1.21% ash. Therefore, in order to resolve the environmental problems caused by the disposal of tofu waste and the problem of the high price of commercial animal feed, it is necessary to conduct community service activities to increase the added value of tofu waste by processing it into animal feed through fermentation process. Tofu pulp fodder produced in this activity was also tested on chickens. Chickens that were feed with tofu waste shown a better weight gain than those given regular fodder (pur). Training on tofu waste processing into fodder was very useful for the community within the area of the tofu industry in Sumurrejo Village because it could overcome the environmental problems caused by tofu dreg waste and could provide cheap, nutritious, safe animal feed and support the livestock growth. Community service activities were conducted by providing knowledge and skills through lecturing, practice and skills training, as well as monitoring activities.

Abstract

This activity was carried out with the aim to resolve the problems faced by the partner with businesses in the field of making traditional ice cream in Semarang. The implementation employed the following methods; with lecture / extension for the theoretical material and motivation, demonstration to deliver practical material / skills, direct practice by partners, and mentoring activities. The results of community service activities are: 1) in the aspect of production, a set of machine ice cream maker was produced, two sets of coconut grater machines, supporting equipment of ice cream production, and the arrangement of the production site, 2) In the aspect business management, the partners have been given assistance on simple accounting, promotions, and marketing of products, 3) the partner may improve the productivity and quality of products that have an impact on increasing revenues.

Abstract

Madumongso adalah salah satu makanan khas Kudus, berbahan dasar ketan hitam, yang identik dihidangan pada Idul Fitri. Perkembangan madumongso tidak sepesat jenang yang telah menjadi oleh-oleh khas Kudus. Oleh karena itu, pembinaan  UMKM madumongso perlu ditingkatkan. Peningkatan  pembinaan tersebut adalah dengan memanfaatkan dana desa, yang salah satu peruntukannya adalah untuk pembinaan masyarakat dan pemberdayaan masyarakat. Pembinaan UMKM madumongso dengan memanfaatkan dana desa pada pengabdian ini dilakukan pada UMKM madumongso di Desa Ngembalrejo, Kecamatan Bae, Kabupaten Kudus. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah 1) adanya peningkatan pengetahuan pelaku UMKM akan pemanfaatan dana desa untuk usaha; 2) peningkatan keterampilan mitra dalam pengemasan produk yang aman  dan lebih berdaya jual. Pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan metode: 1) sosialisasi; 2) pelatihan; dan 3) pendampingan. Hasil yang diperoleh dari pengabdian ini adalah: 1) peningkatan pengetahuan UMKM tentang pemanfaatan dana desa untuk usaha; 2) peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan dalam pengemasan yang baik.

Abstract

The purpose of this activity is to resolve the problems faced by the industry partner with the business of making tofu and tempeh, which is located in the village of Kenteng, Bandungan subdistrict, Semarang regency. As this activity involves the implementation team of lecturers with expertise appropriate to the needs of the field and assisted students. In the implementation used multiple methods of mutual support, with a practice emphasis directly by partners and mentoring activities. The results of these activities include 1) One unit of soybean grinding machine with an electric motor drive power 1 HP, 2) One unit of soybean crusher drive motor gasoline of 5.5 PK and has a production of capacity of 300 kg / hour, or five times that of soy-solving process manually which is only 60 kg / h, 3) Both the partners I and II have applied with better production management, and a cleaner production equipment, and workers had to use health and safety equipment. Impact activities include economic and non-economic aspects. The economic impact can be measured from the increased productivity and better product quality so as to increase the selling value of products. Non-economic impact can be measured from the comfort of work will also indirectly affect the economic benefits.

Abstract

The target of this devotion is to make the enterprise of toast bread “Maju Terus Jaya” helps making the milling machine of toast bread dough that has quality. And for the “Ivan” toast bread enterprise is uploading the advertisement on the internet in order to be better known by the so- ciety surrounding Sampangan, Semarang and making the packaging of toast bread wrapper. Method to resolve the problem is using several ways that supporting one and the others and adapted with the steps that will be done. The steps of the method as follows: counseling, demonstrations, train- ing, making an advertisement and mentoring. The results of this activity to the enterprise of toast bread “MajuTerus Jaya” is the manufacture of a dough milling machine that produces qualified toast bread with the inside structure that more subtle, chewy, and soft. And for the enterprise of toast bread “Ivan” has been successfully created an advertisement that is uploaded on the internet and making the packaging of toast bread wrapper more attractive. The impact of the results of activity that done is the production of toast bread that is sold being able to increase so that the net profit of the enterprise of toast bread “Maju Terus Jaya” and the selling of toast bread “Ivan” increases

Abstract

Agriculture-based business development efforts is crucial carried out in support of public welfare. One of the agricultural products which have the potential to be developed towards an industrial scale are fruits and vegetables. During this time, farmers only sell fruit and vegetables in the form of raw products, and product diversification are less in touch. So far, farmers also simply be a price taker, where they do not have the strength in pricing. This causes farmers sometimes manipulated by middlemen, especially when the harvest is abundant. Therefore, it takes effort and innovation to cultivate fruit and vegetables to be more durable, has a high economic value and improve the welfare of farmers. The purpose of this service is: (1) provide training on making chips eggplants and carrots; (2) facilitate the use of freezingfrying machines; (3) help the vegetable farmers in assessing the feasibility of making chips eggplants and carrots (4) facilitate and assist farmers in accessing capital loans to financial institutions (5) business assistance. The methods used in service activities are 1) a method of action which the servants of training the production of chips eggplant and vegetables, 2) methods of assistance where efforts procurement of machines, access to capital and feasibility studies done here and, 3) the method of supervision, which in the method The servant evaluate and solve problems encountered while running a business. After the service is implemented, is expected to solve the existing problems so as to support the promotion of the local economy and local vegetable growers.

Abstract

Pada sebagian besar SMA di Kota Semarang dan sekitarnya materi bioteknologi modern dalam mata pelajaran Biologi belum dibelajarkan secara optimal. Pembelajaran berlangsung teoritis tanpa disertai praktikum. Oleh karena itu dilakukan kegiatan yang bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan pembelajaran bioteknologi modern di SMA melalui pengembangan laboratorium kultur jaringan untuk melaksanakan praktikum. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan metode seminar interaktif, kunjungan ke laboratorium, dan pelatihan teknik kultur jaringan tanaman. Sasaran kegiatan ini adalah guru anggota Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) Biologi SMA. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman prinsip dasar kultur jaringan para guru termasuk kategori baik. Respon yang diberikan pada saat kunjungan sangat positif, dan sebagian telah diimplementasikan dalam pengembangan laboratorium dan proses pembelajaran di sekolah masing-masing. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut disimpulkan bahwa dengan seminar interaktif, kunjungan ke laboratorium dan pelatihan teknik kultur jaringan pembelajaran materi bioteknologi modern dapat berlangsung lengkap dengan praktikum sehingga lebih optimal

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di wilayah Semarang, di Dekopinda Semarang dengan peserta para pengurusdan pengawas Koperasi Berskala Besar yang sudah layak untuk diaudit eksternal dengan tujuan sosialisasi pemberdayaan peran serta fungsi pengawas koperasi se kota semarang. Adanya pelatihan ini diharapkan meningkatnya kualitas Sistem Pengendalian Intern (SPI) Koperasi anggota DEkopinda Kota Semarang agar dapat meminimalisir terjadinya kecurangan (fraud) yang terjadi di koperasi. Selain itu dapat meningkatkan kesadaran pengurus bahwa koperasi membutuhkan peran auditor eksternal guna meningkatkan kredibilitas dan akuntabilitas laporan keuangan yang dibuatnya, terkait adanya kepentingan dari para anggota selaku stakeholder utama dalam badan usaha ini, mengingat tidak semua anggota berperan sebagai pengurus. Sosialisasi ini hendaknya diikuti dengan agenda follow up terkait penguatan Sistem Pengendalian Internal (SPI) Koperasi anggota Dekpinda Kota Semarang. Pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan teknis mengenai peran Sistem Pengendalian Internal (SPI) agar dapat meminimalisir terjadinya kecurangan (fraud0 yang dilakukan oleh top manajer, para pengurus koperasi maupun para pengawas koperasi. Dengan terciptanya SPI yang baik guna memastikan kegiatan operasional perusahaan berjalan dengan baik dan benar, sehingga membantu meningkatkan kredibilitas laporan keuangan dan secara tidak langsung meningkatkan kualitas dari laporan keuangan itu sendiri.

Abstract

Coconut shell waste has great potential as a source of carbon in the future. Graphite is one of the carbon allotropes with layers of planar layered carbon atoms. One layer of graphite is called graphene with hexagonal carbon atomic structure. In this study, the Hummers method was used to obtain graphene from coconut shell waste. This method breaks the bonding graphite layer into graphene by utilizing the process of mixing a mixture of graphite and HCl solution with the addition of KMnO4 and NaNO3. Raman Spectroscopy characterization shows the formation of multilayer graphene with D, G, and 2D values in 1365, 1585, and 2865 cm-1. The Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy characterization confirmed the bonds of C-O, C = C and C = O at 1220, 1580, and 1700 cm-1. Meanwhile, X-Ray Diffraction characterization showed a peak of diffraction of graphene at 2θ at 11.6o; 23.9o; and 43.5o. The graphene produced becomes more transparent with the length of time of stirring, and the smaller the size of the graphite particles results in the irregularity of the graphene crystal structure.
