DAERAH SALJU YANG “DINGIN” Tinjauan terhadap Novel Daerah Salju Karya Kawabata Yasunari Fajria Noviana

Expressive approach on this novel was conducted to proof scholars’ opinions about the themes that Kawabata often used in his works, which affected by his unpleasant childhood. Those themes are loneliness, emptiness, broken heart, sexuality, and others in common. Comparative study was also conducted but to find out how this novel affected by other literary works and Japanese traditions, and vice versa.

chan by Tetsuko Kuroyanagi.The object research is Novel Madogiwa No Tottochan by Tetsuko Kuroyanagi that is published in 1981. This research has aim to get description of education values and the effects toward children social relationship in the novel of Totto-chan. The approach method to answer both problems is literary sociology approach. Litetature has relation with people in the society, the effort of people to addapt and change society. Sociology is objective and scientific study about human in society, study about institution and social process. The difference between literature and sociology is sociology does scientific and objective analysis. In other hand, literature infiltrates and penetrates social life and shows human ways to comprehend society with their feeling.The teaching result of education values and the effects for the children social relationship are:1. Want to listen what the students tell. We must respect each other and appreciate to the others. It happens when people is speaking to us, so we must pay attention and listen well. The social relationship with everyone created by communication can run well. 2. Give self confidence.When we give trust to the others to do their tasks, so we must believe that person can responsible for their task, so that that person can be success in their task. When we give believe to the other person to overcome their problem, so we have to be sure that they can do it well. The trust between one and others create harmonious social relationship. 3. Delete unpretentious feeling in disable children.Whoever our frien, we must love them eventhough they have lack (disable). Teacher Kobayashi also teach that children or students can not underestimate those disable person. This case makes children in Tomoe love each other, so that social relationship like friendship will create well without underestimate each other.

The present research is the implementation of the 2013 doctoral disertation report funded by DIKTI. The research is a part of IPTEKS scheme for community devotion that have strong relation to language education technology. It concern with the use of multimedia learning and vocabulary mastery on students’ Japanese language reading skills at SMK 1 Purwokerto. The method is implemented experimentally by giving multimedia learning treatment such as Rosetta Stone and Tell Me More Japanese. Through some presentation with the use of those multimedia learning material, the purpose of this research is to know the extent to which the level of their vocabulary mastery and to encourage students in order to have an approriate skill to read Japanese documents. With the implementation of this multimedia learning training, graduate students of SMK Negeri I Purwokerto will be increased and for the future they have a good job at Japanese companies in Indonesia

Penelitian deskriptif kualitatif ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan tipe teknik penerjemahan dalam terjemahan garb, kostum dengan kekuatan khusus dalam Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, dan pengaruhnya terhadap aspek ludologi, mekanika game yang dalam hal ini merujuk kepada kekuatan khusus (ability) yang terkandung dalam garb yang diterjemahkan. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hanya terdapat dua teknik penerjemahan yang digunakan dalam penerjemahan 93 nama garb yaitu pure borrowing (44 data) dan adaptasi (49 data). Dari 49 data adaptasi yang diperoleh, 40 adaptasi menunjukkan bahwa adaptasinya mampu mempertahankan aspek ludologi keikuatan khusus garb yang diperoleh dari pemahaman awal mengenai nama garb dan bentuk fisiknya. Sementara itu 9 adaptasi yang lain memberikan pengaruh negatif terhadap aspek ludologi karena putusnya keterkaitan antara makna nama garb dan ability yang dimilikinya. Temuan ini menandakan bahwa dalam penerjemahan video game, pesan yang dialihkan tidak hanya pesan lingustik tetapi juga pesan mekanis atau ludologis yang terdapat dalam elemen video game.Kata kunci: ludologi, teknik penerjemahan, garbs, Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII

IDENTIFIKASI PERMASALAHAN DALAM MENYIMAK BAHASA JEPANG TERKAIT DENGAN BENTUK PILIHAN JAWABAN SOAL YANG DIALAMI MAHASISWA DI BALI Desak Made Sri Mardani

This study aims at investigating the problems in listening test encountered by students of Japanese department in Bali associated with the answer choice of the test. This study was design descriptively in which the subject were 133 Japanese department student of 3rd semester from 3 different universities. The object of this study is the problems encountered by students of Japanese department in Bali associated with the answer choice of the listening test. The result of study showed that the students were easier to answer the test correctly with written form of answer choice. In each main question, it could be seen that the student were easier to find out the answer of ‘fast response’ question than the other main questions. From the analysis of items difficulty it was found that the problems encountered by students in listening were more on items with written answer choice, with different characteristics of the questions.

This paper entitled Sanmai no Ofuda in Greimas’s perspective. Sanmai no ofuda is the title of Japan’s folktale has similarities with localfolktales from several regions in Indonesia. In this paper, the writer tried to explain the narrative structure of Sanmai no Ofuda in Greimas’s perspective.Its mean to reveal the narrative structure of this folktale,the writer used structural naratology approaches with Algirdas Julien Greimas’s theory. The writer tried to understand about the intrinsic elements in Sanmai no Ofuda by examining the actans schemes and functional structure. The findings show that the narrative structure can explain the intrinsic elements more specificly.

The Japanese tea ceremony is called chanoyu in Japanese. It is a multifaceted traditional activity strongly influenced by Zen Buddhism, in which powdered green tea, or matcha, is ceremonially prepared and served to the guests. Wabicha is a style of Japanese tea ceremony particularly associated with Sen no Rikyū that emphasizes simplicity. He refined the art of Japanese tea ceremony equipment and tea house design, with a preference for very simple and very small tea rooms, and natural materials with simpler decoration

Conjunction toki indicates time relation that expreesses actions that occur at the same time. Toki has three variants, they are toki, toki (ni), and toki (ni) wa. Each of them has its speciality of usage. Toki is the most neutral of all. The usage of particle (-ni) and (-ni) wa affects to the usage of toki in a sentence. Toki (ni) is used to express actions that happen one time, while toki (ni) wa expresses an general actions.

Phrase is a combination word, which is consisting of two words or more and become part of a sentence. Phrase can not be said as a clause because the phrase does not exceed the limit function. Structure of phrase in Japanese has similarities with the clauses and compound words in Indonesian, so it is interesting to analyze and see the difference. This study discusses the definition of the phrase in Japanese, the difference with the clauses and compound words seen from the form, the structure of the phrase, and the category of phrase.

Sakura is the pride flower of Japanese from the past. Many person can enjoy the beauty of Sakura. Sakura usually blossoms in the spring season, begins from south Japan region in the middle of March and continue to the norh Japan ( in the middle of April up to end of April). During spring season, mass media reports about Zensen Sakura, that is prediction the growth of Sakura in many places in Japan, along with climate prediction. By that information, Japanese people are ready to welcome warmer air in the spring ( after winter) and holding Hanami feast. Based on that situation, writer interest to write this research by the title “ The Attraction of Sakura Flower for Japanese people”. The problem that will be analized is how is the attraction and the effect of Sakura flower for Japanese people. In this research, writer uses literary review from internet, article, and many other sources. The attraction of Sakura flower is Japanese people can enjoy Hanami with family, friends, and close person in the office and organization. The effect of Sakura in Japanese life is very important, like to raise the affection in the family, make closer the friendship,and make better communication with partner or relation.
