Abstract

Transient phenomena can be happened at electrical equipment, like primary side of transformer, transmission circuit, generator, etc. This condition caused by external or internal trouble of equipment, like short circuit, switching equipment. This condition can be happened in short time and it has big magnitude value, then it will effect to electrical equipment. If the transformer has short circuit trouble, switching trouble, big current will flow to transformer circuit.         This research will count the current transient value at primary side of transformer, by using EMTP (Electromagnetic Transient Program).        Based on the simulation to 21,5 MVA transformer,  1241 A nominal current, this research have result that over load value more than 22,5 MVA will have 1243 A current transient. This value is more than nominal current value of primary side, it caused by, if load have big value and primary current have big value too. Keywords: wool fiber, acrylic, blending process

Abstract

Indonesia receives solar energy with an average daily energy radiation per unit area per unit time of approximately 4.8 kilowatts / m2. Solar energy is one of the abundant, pollution-free, renewable energy sources and can be explored optimally. In the use of solar energy, it is necessary to develop a technology that is able to convert solar energy into the desired energy, namely electricity. The supply of electrical energy during the day can still be controlled by the solar cell, while at night it is controlled by a battery of 3600 mAH. This technology is known as solar cell or in the international world better known as solar cell or photovoltaic. Solar cell is a tool to convert solar energy into electrical energy. Photovoltaic is a technology that functions to convert or convert solar radiation into electrical energy directly. Rotary dryer is a dryer which is shaped as a drum and rotates continuously which is heated by a heater. A rotary dryer consists of a rotating cylinder and is used to reduce or minimize moisture in the contents of the material and its handling is direct contact with the heat in the drying chamber. The design of the rotary dryer system for the drying process of tea leaves requires a setting temperature of 90oC with a drying time of 15-25 minutes. The energy needed to supply power in the rotary dryer is 1000 WH.

Abstract

Electrical needs in industry as well as in households is one of the main needs as a source of energy for electrical devices. Currently the development of new and renewable energy sources and research involving many found in the world, one of which is a microhydro power plant. Indonesia is a country that has a stream that can be used as a source of energy, especially as a small scale power generator or often called microhydro. In this study the authors try to make a prototype microhydro power plant by utilizing used washer motor driver as a generator. The prototype is equipped with a complement load of inductors to maintain the stability of the voltage and frequency of the generator output when there is loading. The prototype also features a voltage indicator panel, frequency, flow of water to the generator using arduino as its signal processing module. From the observation result obtained maximum output from generator is 90 Volt with frequency 123Hz with speed generator 308 RPM and water debit 127 mL / sec. The addition of complement load on the generator greatly affects the output of the generator during loading.

Abstract

In practice, most inventory system accommodate more than one type of item.Under this situation the analysis of inventory problem is approached by treating each type of item independently. The problem becomes complicated when constrains are imposed in inventory system.Constrains normally arise because scarce of resources exist such as capital, storage space, and equipment capacities. This paper considered a multi item inventory system with 2 constrains: working capital  and storage space restrictions. The Lagrangian method and The LIMIT technique  is utilized to obtain optimal order quantity solution for constraining conditions. While The Lagrangian method transforms a constrained optimization problem into an unconstrained  problem for higher dimension,The LIMIT Technique determines the relation of agggregate EOQ requirements to the limited resource available and revises all the lot sizes by the same proportion to bring the aggregate EOQ resources requirements within the limit. A case study of a multi item inventory system with constrains at PD Taru Martani Yogyakarta has been presented in this paper.   Keywords : multi item inventory system, constrains, the Lagrangian method, the LIMIT technique, optimal (economic) order quantity.

Abstract

Strategic location, near by national economic center, exposes Banten with positive vibe for its economic growth. Nevertheless, according to existing data, on the 3rd quarter in 2015, tourism sector only reached 2,6% of market share. Thus, it hasn’t been existed as featured sectors. It appears due to several reasons, one of them is supporting component for this cultural creative industry that still under-developed. One of the local creative industries that has purpose to promote the uniqueness value of Banten culture through local souvenirs is Ora Bae (OB). This business is built based on social entrepreneurship. OB was established in 2013. However, the designated business model, apparently do not consistent with the income.Referring to above problem, therefore this research is conducted to identify and evaluate the existing business model as well as to design appropriate one. This research is carried out by implementing direct observation in Ora Bae Souvenir Shop and several Small and Middle Enterprises (SMEs) under it. The interview is performed by using SWOT concept that integrated with Business Model Canvas (BMC).Later, the results of observation and interview are used as the current business model formula that will be employed for SWOT analysis. Its results will be applied as basic for determining the business model alternative. Blue Ocean Strategy is employed to eliminate elements of business model that are insignificant and to create innovation in the latest business model. The improvement conceptsare conducted by enhancing the numberscostume’s designersto anticipate new customers’ segmentation, neglecting low price components on offered price proposition, improving the products’ distribution channel on places that potentially could maximize the available channelsby participatingin Banten events as advertising service. The improvements are also supported by resources in IT Support. In maintaining the relationship with customers, it is required additional services such as personal assistance and customer care. The innovation of this recent business model is expected to be the alternative for solution on problems that encountered by Ora Bae brand.

Abstract

Electromyograph signal (EMG) is a non-stationary biomedical signal, making it difficult todetermine the pattern. The method normally used for signal analysis is Fast Fourier Transform (FFT), but it has some drawbacks because it requires stable signals. To answer this deficiency wavelet transformation is used, especially discrete wavelet transforms that can analyze the signal in both the realm of time and frequency. The method to be used in this research is wavelet transformation for signal analysis withdecomposition up to level 7 using wavelet symlet 8. This feature extraction result is used as input of artificial neural network (ANN) type of propagation backward with architecture of 8 input layer, 5 hidden layer and 3 layers of output.ANN Turnback is able to recognize 3 types of EMG signals namely Normal, Myopathy andNeuropathy. Based on the feature extraction of EMG signal decomposition energy characteristics. Network architecture with 8 input layers. 5 hidden layers and 3 output layers Proven best in the introduction of EMG signals. The highest success rate is the introduction of EMop Myopathy signal pattern reaching 94%, so the network architecture is proposed to regenerate the EMG signal.
