Abstract

One of the molding injection Komatsu 80T in the PT Yogya Presisi Teknikatama Industry has a problem on its performance. The performance of this injecton molding can be calculated by Overall Equipment Effectiveness(OEE). OEE is a factor which can be found by multiplication of Availability Ratio, Performance Efficiency and Rate of Quality. The values of OEE then be compared to the standart values of JIPM (The Japan Institute of Plan Maintenance) which JIPM defined a minimal standard value of OEE is 85%. If the result of OEE calculation less than 85%,what causes it be analysed by the Six Big Losses Analysis. The Result of analysis showed the sequence as Reduced Speed Loss, Setup and Adjusmnet loss, and Rework Loss. Then by Fishbone diagram, it can be known the causes of the decreasing OEE values, so the management can do the repairment.

Abstract

Penelitian ini akan membahas perusahaan kimia yang memproduksi Pythalic Anhydride (PA) di Indonesia. Perusahaan ini memiliki kapasitas 70.000 Metric Ton Per Year (MTPY). Selama 2017, total waktu produksi adalah 6.699,8 jam atau rata-rata 23 hari. Namun, dibandingkan dengan kapasitas produksi, perusahaan dapat memenuhi permintaan dalam waktu 20 hari tiap bulannya. Waktu produksi minimum diperlukan untuk mencapai layanan pelanggan yang optimal dan biaya minimum. Perbedaan antara kapasitas dan kondisi yang ada disebabkan oleh penutupan pabrik. Penutupan pabrik disebabkan oleh kehabisan inventori material dan kerusakan mesin. Frekuensi penutupan pabrik relatif tinggi. Selama 2014 hingga 2017, pabrik ditutup 48 kali dengan MTTF 3,1 hari dan MTTR 23 jam. Analisis reliability, availability, dan maintainability (RAM analysis) dilakukan untuk mengatasi masalah ini. Secara khusus, penelitian ini akan fokus pada pengembangan skenario dengan melakukan percobaan pada inventori penyangga suku cadang untuk mengurangi waktu produksi dan meningkatkan availabilitas. Pendekatan simulasi digunakan dalam penelitian ini untuk memodelkan perilaku stokastik. Berdasarkan hasil percobaan, waktu produksi berkurang 232,7 jam dan availabilitas menjadi 0,8996.

Abstract

The Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) is the performance measurement tool for stabilizing process in industrial manufacturing. It becomes a comprehensive analysis method from a strategic to operational point of view to optimize measurement result.This study aims to examine gap case studies of performance measurement results of Hot Strip Mill production using OEE method in one of the largest steel industry in Cilegon Banten. The research methodology includes determination of measurement variables, secondary data collection (i.e. production time data, total production and total product defect), interviews and field observations, and analysis of factors causing the gap between target and actual performance. Based on data processing, the result of performance measurement is: 61% (availability), 63% (performance), 95% (quality) and 42% (OEE). Based on pareto analysis and fishbone diagram, it is known that dominant cause factor is delay time and high demand variation.

Abstract

In 2014 tourist arrivals in Semarang decreased when compared to 2013, which caused the occupancy rate also decreased, this led to increasingly fierce competition among businessmen hospitality. Performance measurement is one way companies look at how big the achievement of the company today. Performance measurement method used is balanced scorecard. This method is able to assess the company not only from the financial aspect, but also from non-financial aspects with reference to the four perspectives that exist. Determination key performance indicator (KPI) in this study consider the vision, mission and values of organizational culture within the company. By using four perspectives in the BSC, there are 12 key performance indicator (KPI) with different interests for each perspective and its KPI based on the weighted analitycal hierarchy process (AHP). The measurement results with the company BSC BSC showed a score of 51.979 included in the final score BSC value of 0, which indicates the value of the company's performance in the Semarang Hotel Grasia sufficient criteria, which means it is still the same as the performance targets set by the company.

Abstract

Sweet star fruit (Carambola averrhoa L.) is one type of fruit plants that is widespread in Indonesia. Sweet star fruit contained high concentration of vitamin A and vitamin C. Utilization of sweet star fruit as nutraceuticals products that are rich in vitamin A and C are still relatively rare. Demands of people who want to get an interesting kind of preparation and easy to use push of this study which aims to produce gummy candies. Preparations of gummy candies was made in 5 formulations based on a combination of gummy base (mannitol and corn syrup) with a ratio of 50%: 50%, 40%: 60%, 25%: 75%, 60%: 40%, 75%: 25%. Making sweet star fruit juice using freeze drying method then organoleptic test was conducted on the sweet star fruit juice. Testing physical properties of gummy candies include organoleptic test, weight uniformity test, and preference level (hedonict test) by the respondent and then the test results were compared with the requirements in the literature. Formula 3 with gummy base containing ratio of mannitol:corn syrup (25%: 75%) is the best formula that is compared with other formula, with a coefficient of variation for weight uniformity test was 2.09%.

Abstract

Problems on the quality of health services is not new. In contrast to the quality of goods and service quality is not so easy to determine but it can be felt. Therefore, It would need the regional public hospital in Yogyakarta to find out how the level of customer satisfaction that can be used as a measure to make improvements in order to obtain an increase in customer satisfaction. To determine the performance of the regional public hospital in Yogyakarta represented by the value of the level of satisfaction, while in the repair of the attributes necessary to know the expectations of customers who are represented by the value of the interest rate. All activities were carried out using the method of Importance Performance Analysis (IPA).By 33 attributes asked to regional public hospital in Y ogyakarta are outpatient, Based on the value PGC V and Cartesian diagram turns out there are 12 attributes that need to be improved from the 19 attributes that need improvement. The value of new satisfaction rate reached 3.4 79 4.279 whilethe value of the level of importance of the maximum value 5. This proves that the regional public hospital in Yogyakarta services is still far from what is expected by the customer, or in other words, the customer was not satisfied. Advice author the regional public hospital in Yogyakarta immediately make improvement to the attributes which has the highest priority for it, for example,attribute Sensitivity employees toward customer complaints (patient), the waiting room is neat and clean, patient acceptance faster and easier.

Abstract

Production control systems for multistage manufacturing processes can be classified into push type (MRP) and pull type (JIT) systems. MRP and JIT system has its own unique advantages and disadvantages, and the advantages of both systems can be exploited to achieve better performance. A relatively new research trend associated with the MRP and JIT is to explore the possibility of hybrid system and to develop model for the integrated system. So, the choice of a production philosophy by a manufacturing company is important. The key components of overall profitability are holding cost inventory, WIP, set-up time and cost for missing due date on costumer order. The optimum lot-size associated with those of the key component. This paper presents an optimal lot-size production and integrated hybrid system with movable junction point between a Push sub-system and a Pull sub-system in production line using simulation approach. Using ARENA ® simulation software this model could solve the problem. The result can achieve minimum production cost with production output level for push system of 79 to 82 unit, decreasing WIP from 85.81 hour to 84.165 hour per cycle and decreasing waiting time in works station 2 to 5.Keywords : Push/Pull System, Lot-size, WIP, Manufacturing System

Abstract

This research purposes to find out the characteristic of slow pyrolysis of palm kernel shell and plastic derived from waste grocery bags mixtures with the catalyst addition. Palm kernel shell was mixed with plastic in the persentages of 0%, 10%, 20% dan 30%. The mixtures of palm kernel shell and plastic were feeded in the fixedbed pyrolyzer with the natural zeolite as catalyst. Pyrolyzer was heated and controlled in the temperature of 400oC, 450oC and 500oC. Vapor produced by pyrolysis process was condensed by seperated water cooling. Liquid condensation was collected and measured its weight then analyzed by using GCMS to determain the composition of bio-oil formed from this processes. The research results that the higher temperature pyrolyzer the higher conversion of palm kernel shell and plastic mixtures is by reducing char product. The addition of natural zeolit as catalyst affects in the increase of phenol, alkane and alkene compounds with the reduction of acid compounds.

Abstract

This research aims to (a) investigate differences in Internet adoption; (b) identify factors affecting Internet adoption; and (c) examine differences of Internet usage pattern between male and female users. Using data from 714 respondents/students with various backgrounds, the research unveils that in general, Internet adoption among female users are lower than that among male users.  Using Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), the research also finds that the Internet adoption among female users is affected by perceived ease of use rather than perceived usefulness. On the other hand, the Internet adoption among male users is affected by perceived usefulness rather than perceived ease of use. Male users are found to have a more flexible Internet access venue when compared to female users. The research also gives an evident that Internet usage pattern among male and female users differs. Proportion of female users who use the Internet for chatting and study-related activities is significantly larger than that of male users. Conversely, proportion of male users who use the Internet for reading online news, testing and downloading software, shopping, entertainment, seeking job vacancy, and visiting pornographic sites are larger than female users. High cost Internet access and low access speed of the Internet and a lack of English proficiency are identified to be most severe obstacles of the Internet adoption in Indonesia. Abstract

Nowadays, Energy comsumption in the world tend to depend on fossil fuels. Alternative energy is still less developed. Indonesia has potential to develop alternative energy, especially biomass. One of this biomass is dried leaf that can be done to be briquettes. Dried leaf briquettes can be as an alternative fuel may be a solution for energy crisis. Economically that briquetting of the dried leaf could be a very promising business. Briquetting of dry leaf can be done with the simplest of techniques. It’s necessary doing techno economic analysis of charcoal briquettes of dried leaf. This research was done by using two types of adhesives briquettes  namely tapioca flour and sago with a weight percentage of 30% by weight of dry leaf briquette. The result of this research is the best briquette adhesive is tapioca flour because it produces water content of 25%, ash content of 13.85%, carbon content 61.15% and calorific value is 7100.23 calories. If this compare with adhesive sago are the water content is 23.08%, ash content of 10.5%, carbon content 69.41% and calorific value is 6325.66 calories. When compared with the comparative quality of briquettes SNI no.1 / 6235/200, only the carbon content of which has not reached for both types of the adhesive. The results of the calculation of the cost of production, to produce briquettes with a capacity of 15,000 kg of briquettes per year is Rp 42,312,600.00 while the cost of production Rp 2820.00/kg and selling price that can be offered to consumers are Rp 4,300/Kg. In this economic calculation values obtained BEP (kg) is 15008.75 kg and BEP in rupiah at Rp 42,324,675.00. While its payback period is for 90 days.
