Abstract

and other crime actions had been situated by teenagers. The phenomenon indicates the increase of aggressive behaviors among teenagers. The problem can no longer be considered as common mischievousness behavior, due to the negative effects. The taking place of the events could be caused by teenager’s over-confidence. The over-convidence teenager tends to fail to judge his flaws objectively, so that he always feels that he’s perfect and better than anyone else.   Based on mentioned problems, researcher wants to find out the correlation between self-confidence and aggressive behavioral tendency, to answer the question whether self-confidence dos affect teenager’s aggressive behavioral tendency. There are two variables served in this inquiry : 1) The tendency of aggressive behavior as dependent variable, and 2) self-confidence as independent variable.   Population in the research consists of second grade student of SMUN I Rembang. Sampling technique of the research uses Cluster Random Sampling, where all classes have the chance to be examined as research subject. There are 35 research subjects who are treated as try-out subject, and 72 research subjects who are anaysed for the research purpose.   In this research, the data collecting methodology used questionnaire which has already been tested its validity and reliability. The data analyzing technique uses Correlation Product Moment.   The result of the data analysis shows these results : there are positive correlation between self-confidence and the aggressive behavioral tendencies of the student of SMUN I Rembang. This can be seen with the rate of rxy = 0,435 with p < 0,01.   The level of subject’s self confidence can be classified as high, while the subject’s aggressive behavioral tendencies can be classified as low. The effective contribution of self confidence to aggressive behavioral tendencies is 18,9 percent. It can be concluded that there are 81,1 percent of other factors that can add contribution to affect the aggressive behavioral tendencies like temperature anf disindividuation.

Abstract

A disruption in childhood who became frightened most mothers today is autism. According Hopes and Harris (in Berkell, 1992), a mother with an autistic child will experience greater stress than mothers with children who have mental  retardation due to loss of critical interpersonal responses in the autistic children. The purpose of the study The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between social support to adjustment in mothers of children with autism. And to find out how big the role of social support on adjustment to parents (mothers) of children with autism. The research subject of autistic children who were fostered (in therapy / consultation) in the institution "Ananda Mitra" Colomadu. The research sample is purposive sample because by certain characteristics. These characteristics are: 1) a minimum education level of parents of high school and 3) Domiciled in Surakarta Solo and the surrounding areas. Based on the results of the calculation of analytical techniques obtained Pearson product moment correlation coefficient (rxy) at = 0.573, p = 0.000 (p <0,01). These results indicate there is significant positive correlation between social support to adjustment in mothers of children with autism, because it can be interpreted that the social support variables can be used as predictors (independent variables) to predict or measure the adjustment in mothers of children autism.

Abstract

Work discipline is very important to increase success in achieving corporate goal.  In addition  through  the clearly order  or regulation,  there also be a clearly description of duty  and authority  in a work discipline. Therefore  it be  can easily understood by the employee. The population of this study is more than 200 consumers of Hotel Sahid Jaya Solo. This study was taken 100 consumers who are visiting as sample. Product Moment is used to analysis data. The calculation results of  the product moment analysis toward  the  correlation between work discipline and  service quality of concierge staff shows  that Rxy  is 0.75 or 75%. Meanwhile Rxy on the service quality is 0.75 or 75%. Its mean that the estimation model of the variable from the service quality can explain variable of work discipline 75%, while the remain can be explained on the other variables 25%. The conclusion of this  study  is  there is a positive and significant effect of work discipline  toward  concierge  service quality  staff. The higher of work discipline will be followed by the higher of service quality in concierge staff. In the contrary the lower of work discipline will be also followed by the lower of service quality in concierge staff.

Abstract

This  research  aimed  to  understand  the  effectiveness  of  Training  on  the  Skill  of Managing  Public  Speaking  Anxiety  Using  Cognitive-Behavioral  Approach,  on  the  way  it can reduce the level of Public Speaking Anxiety. The experiment design used in this research is Non-randomized Pre-test and Post-test  Control  Group  Design,  with  the  subjects  were 20  undergraduate  students  of  Sahid University Surakarta experiencing public speaking anxiety. The  result  of  statistical  analysis  using  the  Mann-Whitney’s  test  are  :  there  was significantly different level of public speaking anxiety between the experimental group and control group at pre-test and post-test, with z =  -2,374 (p<0,01). The phi square is 0,5388. It means that the training gave 53,88% on reducing the level of public speaking anxiety. The model of Training on the Skill of Managing Public Speaking Anxiety Using Cognitive-Behavioral  Approach  was  effective  to  reduce  the  level  of  public  speaking  anxiety.  So,  it was matched with the hypothesis of this research.

Abstract

School education is education that is obtained starting from kindergarten to university by a person in uniform , and systematic. Abstract

Smoking behavior is behavior that is dangerous to health so that on every pack of cigarettes and cigarette advertisements are required to include the dangers of smoking . However, the dangers of smoking behavior seems not too reduce interest teenagers to smoke . Data from the WHO shows that 30 % of smokers are young people , 24% of young men in Indonesia smoke . Surveys conducted in vocational Hope Kartasura showed that 71 % smoked , and 60 % smoked because the invitation of friends . Based on these facts , the self-control training is expected to reduce the smoking behavior of students . Among the number who smoke , most started smoking intheir teens , one of the psychological aspects that influence adolescent smoking or not smoking is self-control . Adolescents with high self-control will be able to copewith the pressure to smoke . This study aims to determine the effectiveness of self-control training using the Smoking Control Movement Technique ( SCMT ) to reduce smoking behavior in students of SMK Harapan Kartasura . This study was conducted experiment with Completely Randomized Design design - Between subjec . Subjects numbered 10 students consisting of 3 students who have low smoking behavior , 4 people who have smoking behavior was and 3 students who have high smoking behavior . Measuring instrument used was a questionnaire Smoking Behavior , interviews , observation , and self-control training module using the Smoking Control Movement Emotional Technique ( SCMT ) . Measurements were taken before and after training . Hypothesis test used was the Wilcoxon test for the pretest and posttest . The results of this study showedno significant effectbetween self-control training using the Smoking Control Movement Emotional Technique ( SCMT ) to reduce smoking behavior . Training self control when applied to smoking behavior and low groups were obtained effective results , but when applied to the smoking behavior of high group obtained results ineffective .

Abstract

Tourism is one sector which is considered to have the ability to donate the largest foreign exchange after oil  and gas . Tourism activities provide advantages and benefits for a country / region tourist destination , although not apart any losses and the resulting negative impact , especially on the culture and the environment . The purpose of this study are to determine ; 1 ) the relationship between perceptions of service quality and loyalty visitor attractions ; 2 ) the role or effective contribution to the perception of service quality and loyalty visitor attractions . The hypothesis proposed a positive relationship between perceptions of service quality dimensionswith loyalty visitor attractions . Subjects in this study were visitors Nature ParkGrojogan Sewu Tawangmangu Karanganyar Central Java , amounting to 146 people . Sampling technique in this study is incidental non-random sampling . Measuring instruments used in this study are scaled visitor loyalty and perceptions of service quality scale .  Based on the calculation results of the analysis techniques obtained Pearson product moment correlation coefficient ( r) of 0.327 ; p = 0.000 ( p < 0.01 ) means that there is a significant positive relationship between perceptions of service quality and visitor loyalty . The role of perception or effective contribution to the quality of service to visitors sebesar10,7 % loyalty shown by the determinant coefficient ( r2 ) of 0.107 . 89.3 % means that there are other variables that affect the loyalty of visitors outside variables such as perception of the quality of service objectof the visit , imagery , socioeconomic status and condition of natural factors . Based on the results of the categorization of unknown variable perceptions of service quality has the empirical mean ( RE ) of 96.068 and the mean hypothetical ( RH ) of 82.5 , which means the perception of service quality is high on the subject . Variables known to the average visitor loyalty empirical ( RE ) of 69.178 and the mean hypothetical ( RH ) of 70 which means the visitor loyalty research subjects classified as moderate . Based on the results of the final model of the stepwise analysis note that the perception of the quality of service aspects are the most dominant contributing effectively to the loyalty of visitors are aspects of Empathy ( X4 ) of 13,374 % . The results showed no significant positive relationship between perceptions of service quality and visitor loyalty . This means that a variable perception of service quality include aspects in it can be used as a predictor to predict or measure loyalty visitors .

Abstract

Education is a process of individual potential development into competence. Their competence reflect an individual ability and skill in doing the task or job. Each individual has many important characteristics which talent and interest is one of them. Interest is an develoment process in mixing all of existing capabilities to mobilize individuals at an activity that is interested tothem. Meanwhile, talent is a characteristicscombination of individual capacity to acquire some special knowledge, skills and organized response. Characteristics talents and interests need to be understood by students and teachers. If someone studies or works in areas of their interest and is supported with appropriate talent so it will give the spirit in studying or living. Talent can be seen with Differential Aptitude Test (DAT) assay, and interest can be seen with the Rothwell Miller The objective of this study is (1) Establishment of a talet and interest test application computers based that can assist for SMK students, (2) Description of the acceptance and satisfaction level of students and teachers toward the talent and interest test application based on computers thatcan assist in track attraction. This study is designed with two phase: (1) Phase I is to development a computerbased application of talent and interest test with the Research and Development, and (2) Phase II is to test the level of acceptance and satisfaction from user toward this talent and interest test application using modelsTechnology Acceptance Model (TAM). Based on the results of TAM analysis, it can be concluded that students find an easy to use the existing application of talent and interest test so that the level of satisfaction and acceptance was achieved. The obtaining of effective contribution is 11.7%.

Abstract

The research was aim to find out the relationship between self-efficacy and social support with burnout among nurses. Proposed hypotheses were as followed: 1). burnout correlated  with  self-efficacy  dan  social  support,  2).  Self-efficacy  negatively  correlated with burnout, the lower self-efficacy was, the higher was the burnout; 3) social support negatively  correlated  with  burnout,  the  higher  social  support  was,  the  lower  was  the burnout.  This  research  also  create  a  new  model  of  competencies  in  a  way  to  cope  the burnout happened, considered to nurses work load. The  subject  of  the  research  consisted  of  94  nurses  of  “XYZ”  Hospital  of Surakarta. Data was collected through questionnaire method using burnout scales, self efficacy scales and social support scales.  Statistical method used regression analysis with SPSS for Windows11.5.The  results  showed  that  there  was  significant  correlation  between  self-efficacy and social support with burnout (R= 0.743, F= 56.209, p < 0.05) and it contributed as much as 55.3  %.  Self-efficacy  had  significantly  negative  correlation  with  burnout  (t=  -6.250 , p < 0.05). Social support also had significantly negative correlation with burnout (t= -3.106 , p<0.05).Key words: self-efficacy, social support, burnout

Abstract

Bureaucratic reform within the police has been implemented since 2002. Namely by imposing and implementing several changes and reforms in the field of Instrumental, fields of structural and cultural fields. Past policies before the reform may be in the eyes of members, the leadership knows only demanding change and performance improvement without any compensation. But this time it was clear they would be rewarded with either an increase in welfare benefits or salary increases and performance. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between remuneration and job  satisfaction with the work ethic and the members of staff employees in the first sub-detachment Detachment C Pioneers Brimob Surakarta. Subjects in this study were members and staff employees in the first subdetachment Detachment C Brimob Surakarta Pioneers 40 people. Sampling studies using random sampling. Using  questionnaire data collection tool (questionnaire). Methods ofdata analysis using product moment correlation technique. Based on the calculation ofthe product moment analysis technique remuneration relationship with work ethic correlation coefficient ( rxy ) at = 0.656 , p = 0.000 (p < 0.01 ) and the relationship of job satisfaction with work ethic values obtained correlation coefficient ( rxy ) of = 0.692, p = 0.000 ( p < 0.01 ). These results indicate there is a significant positive correlation between the remuneration of the work ethic and satisfaction with work ethic , therefore it can be interpreted that both job satisfaction and remuneration variable can be used as predictors (independent variables) to predict or measure the work ethic that has members and Detachment C sub-detachment staff  Pioneers Brimob Surakarta.
