Abstract

Objectives of this study is to determine the economic and social benefits in building a regional scale of agricultural economy and influence over the land in relation to the development of food security and economic. This study was conducted through a survey method in Kampar District of Riau Province. The variables measured are determinants of crop production and food security. The results found that the area is faced with a decline in the production of rice and pulses which have an impact on rice shortage which was also caused by the potential not yet optimal management of land resources as a whole. The result showed that agricultural land, the number of seeds, fertilizers, insecticides and labor, both partialy and simultaneously, effect the food security in Kampar District.

Abstract

This study is aimed at determining the effect of Return on Equity (ROE), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Net Profit Margin (NPM), inflation, exchange rates, and interest rates on stock return of Automotive Industry and its Components. The method used is in this research is data panel regression and the period of research is from 2009 to 2013. The result showed that the ROE, DER, NPM, inflation, exchange rates, and interest rates affect the stock return of Automotive Industry and its Components. Partially, ROE and inflation positively affect the stock return, while the exchange rates and interest rates negatively affect the stock return. The rest, DER and NPM have no effect on stock return.

Abstract

Information technology is growing rapidly. The problems arising in the conjunction magnitude of information technology devices are how to manage, maintain, and calculate the amount of required investments. The purposes of this study are to measurepreventive and corrective cost optimization maintenance which determines the most optimal performance for alternative maintenance activity. The case studies in this research is PT Indonesia Comnets Plus (ICON +) West Java focusing on how the process of customer service telecommunication maintenance. Analysis techniques used are descriptive and optimization analysis. The level of corrective maintenance costs are known through services damage probability, average cost of service damage in the period of 2011-2014, and corrective cost analysis formula. To determine the level of preventive maintenance costs, it requires the calculation of damage probability screened estimated monthly service and then calculating the total cost of preventive maintenance. The analysis requires amount of damage and cost of protecting canceling services. The result, general implementation of maintenance services has been running well, but not optimal. Period of preventive maintenance services can be optimized with an average of 12-month treatment.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know the influence of strategy implementation to the performance achievement of bank based on the balanced scorecard. The research had been done on Branch Office (BO) of Bank Bjb in West Java. Explanatory case study type was used as the research design. The population included all the functional managers (heads of division) of all BO of Bank Bjb in West Java. There were 48 heads of division in 16 BO with purposive sampling method. Data type was cross-section and questionnaire that were given to three functional managers. Path analysis was used. The result showed that the strategy implementation which had been done in credit management, credit supervision and recovery management, also fund and service management, simultaneously and partially had positive influence in the performance achievement of bank based on the balanced scorecard.

Abstract

The main objective of this research is investigate the effect of autonomy and accountability on managerial performance . This research uses survey method with verification approach and type of causal research, conducted on 18 universities in Bandung as the unit of analysis, while the unit of observation is a Vice-Chancellor, and Dean. The type of data is primary data collected by a questionnaire research instruments containing ordinal scale for measurement. Validity and reliability tests have also been done on the entire collected questionnaire. Furthermore, data are converted into interval scale, then hypothesis test are done using SPSS 20. This research has shown that (1) Simultaneously, there is a significant effect of autonomy, accountability on managerial performance. (2) Partially only accountabilityt has significant effect on managerial performance. Whereas autonomy does not have significant effect on it.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to examine factors affecting Indonesia’s rubber export performance to Indonesia’s 15 main trading partners after the implementation of ACFTA. This research employs Bergstrand Gravity Model (1985) using 105 observation for 15 countries from 2004 to 2010. Then, the gravity model is estimated by applying random effects (RE) model. The results show that, first, GDP per capita of Indonesia’s main trading partners have significantly positive impact on export. Surprisingly, distance has significantly positive effect on Indonesia’s rubber export. Further, Indonesia’s rubber major export destinations are the member of ACFTA, i.e. China and Singapore. Last, some of the non member countries are still potential to be Indonesia’s rubber market. Therefore, the Government of Indonesia should increase trading with them.

Abstract

In order to develop industrial sector, Kota Bandung develop ten industrial and trades areas. One of the industrial and trades area is Binong Jati Knitting Industrial and Trade Centre, which is potentially in absorbing the employment. The objectives of the study are to identify the condition of Binong Jati Knitting Industrial and Trade Centre today and to analyze relationship between labor absorption and several economic variables in Binong Jati Knitting Industrial and Trade Centre. This research use primary data which collected from 55 business unit as a sample from 120 population. Analysis method is descriptive statistic and linier regression. According to our field observation and interview, most of the unit business in Binong Jati Knitting Industrial and Trade Centre is small and middle scale industries. In term of number of employment, Binong Jati Knitting Industrial and Trade Centre is in the second rank after Cibaduyut Shoes Industrial Centre. In recent years, units business and number of workers has decreased. According to regression analysis, in Binong Jati Knitting Industrial and Trade Centre, size of employment is negativelly related with wage rate, positively related with price of raw material, number of sales, labor productivity, and number of machine units.

Abstract

The background of this research is the failure of the marketing orientation concept and the unprepared consumers to accept the societal marketing concept. There needs orientation phase that are between the marketing orientation phase and societal marketing phase. The orientation phase is Adaptive Marketing Orientation (AMO).One of the applications of adaptive marketing orientation is Mimicry Marketing Strategy (MMS). The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of MMS to competitors, MMS to consumers, MMS to suppliers, MMS to intermediarieson the quality of relationship with partners and innovation as well as to analyze the influence of the quality of relationship with partners and innovation to the marketing performance. Samples are 100 SMEs in Banyumas; data analysis tool used is Path Analysis. The results of this study found that the effect of MMS to consumers and MMS to competitors have positive effect on innovation and the quality of relationship with partners, while MMS to suppliers, and MMS to intermediarie shave no positive effect on innovation and the quality of relationship with partners, and the quality of relationship with partners and innovations have positive effect toward marketing performance.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the implementation of integrated marketing communication conducted by private universities in Kuningan Regency and analyze the influence of integrated marketing communication performance which includes advertising, sales promotion, personal selling, public relation, and direct marketing on private university image. The method used was descriptive and verificative method conducted by collecting primary data in the field from private university students in Kuningan Regency. Based on the results of data processing and hypothesis testing, it was known that integrated marketing communication consisting of advertising, personal selling, sales promotion, public relation, and direct marketing simultaneously and partially had a positive and significant impact on private university image. The simultaneous influence is 38.7%, which meant there was still much influence outside the implementation of integrated marketing communication that affected private university image. The biggest influence was sales promotion.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the leadership style’s compatibility level which including task behavior and relationship behaviors, the maturity of the members and the relationship with the with the participation of members of the Koperasi Unit Desa (KUD) in Gorontalo province. This study use 52 sample of KUD chairman and 140 sample members of KUD. The calculation of the sample used proportional sampling. Data were collected by interviews and distributing questionnaires to respondent. Method of anayisis using descriptive qualitative analysis techniques and quantitative methods. Hypothesis test using Kruskal Wallis different test and the Chi Quadrat. Based on the statistical analysis results can be concluded: (1) the existence of the leadership styles differentiation of the chairman, (2) there are differences in maturity level of members, (3) there is no leadership styles compatibility level of chairman toward the maturity of members in KUD at Gorontalo Province, and (4) there is a relationship of the chairman leadership style with the maturity of the members indicated from the participation of members.
