Abstract

This research aims to analyze the appropriate promotional strategies in increasing the occupancy of the Zodiak Kebon Kawung Hotel Bandung. 15 respondents were taken as a sample of research using purposive sampling from employees of executive sales and executive e-commerce at Zodiak Kebon Kawung Hotel. The analysis used is a SWOT analysis consisting of internal factor analysis factor (IFAS) matrix, external factor analysis summary (EFAS) matrix, external-internal matrix (IE), cartesian diagram and SWOT matrix. These are the position of growth strategy with IFAS score = 2.21, EFAS = 2.50, dan SWOT Matrix; 1) SO strategy ie accessibility of adequate means of transportation, modern hotels; 2) ST strategy that is not expensive and supported by security; 3) WO Strategy that is to improve human resources, facilities and infrastructure of water and sewage treatment, improvement of in-room facilities; 4) WT strategy is to avoid the transfer of educated and experienced personnel.

Abstract

Background of this research was the low productivity of the employees of wood-carving in Subang district. This study therefore aimed to determine the effect of work experience and wage on employee productivity. The research was conducted on the wood carving business employees through observation of 134 people from 20 wood-carving companies in Subang district. The results of this study indicate that there are positive effects of wage and work experience to work productivity either partially or simultaneously.

Abstract

This study aims to generate key strategies of sector development community empowerment to reduction poverty in Banjar. The analysis uses SWOT presented in three parts: SAP (Strategic Advantages Profile), ETOP (Environmental Threats and Opportunity Profile), and SWOT Matrix. The analysis showed the government’s attention to the program that was launched (district development program and the urban poverty program) where is by provision of Counterpart Funds from APBD has been increasing steadily every year. The mechanism has been implemented according to some regulations. The urban empowerment program should further focus and involve on the interests and needs of urban communities. The obstacles faced on the research to determine the program are, the execution (based onmain interest), the lack of human resources who understand and the plan ownership in preparing programs of community development and the lack of human resources with reliability in manufacturing reporting on the program implementation.

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium enterprises (MSMEs), in national economy, have an important and strategic role. This research examines the main product development of MSMEs in Sukabumi regency. The analysis method used is Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). This method is used to identify MSMEs main products in several sectors appropriate to be developed. The result shows that the potential products of MSMEs in each sector, after conducting AHP analysis based on the criteria of uniqueness, market force and economic benefits, are mangosteen, metal processing and workshop services.

Abstract

Service quality, atmosphere, and food quality have become an important part to be considered by a firm or company in order to attract consumers and to compete in the marketplace. This research will be taking Chingu Café which is located in Bandung, Indonesia to be the object of the study. This research applied a quantitative method with total sample of 384 respondents who have visited and spent time in Chingu Café. A multi linear regression was applied to analyze the findings in order to gain the effect of service quality’s dimensions, food quality, and atmosphere on purchase intention. This research is able to gather unique findings in a Korean thematic café business. It is obtained that the most consumptive consumers are teenagers and young-adults dominated by females. More importantly, this research is able to find that service quality (tangible, reliability, responsiveness, and empathy), atmosphere, and food quality have a positive influence on purchase intention while none of such relationship between assurance dimension and purchase intention.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the existing gap to achieve ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification and determine the maturity level of the information system owned by X Government Institution. The information system of X Government Institution would be assessed based on 14 clauses contained in ISO/IEC 27001: 2013. The method used is qualitative method, data collection and data validation with triangulation technique (interview, observation, and documentation). Data analysis used gap analysis and to measure the maturity level of this research used CMMI (Capability Maturity Model for Integration). The result of the research showed that information security which had been applied by X Government Institution was at level 1 (Initial) which meant there was evidence that the institution was aware of problems that needed to be overcome, unstandardized process, and tended to handle the problem individually or by case.

Abstract

Exports and investment play an important role in the economy of a country that is open. Exports will generate foreign exchange, foreign exchange to finance imports of capital goods and raw materials required in the production process that will create added value for the economy. The variables examined in this study is the difference in private sector investment plans, loan interest rates, government spending, and Gross Domestic Bruto (GDP). Research on the analysis using the method of least squares OLS (Ordinary Least Square). Results of regression test based on the theory, statistical and econometric criteria. The results of this study are interest rates significantly have a positive affect on the private investment. GDP will have a positive effect on investment and also government spending has a positive effect on private investment.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the influence of education and training programs towards work’s achievement for employees in developer’s company Kota Bunga, Puncak, Cianjur Regency. Education and training programs consist of hardware and software dimension; as well as work achievement with the dimension of quantity and quality. Education and training variables were both assessed in terms of respondents’ responses. The results reflect that most employees would assume that training is a very important. Work achievement is the contribution of individuals or groups either in quantity or in quality against the purpose of the company. Based on the respondents’ responses, employees’ work achievement is considered as excellent. Hypothesis test shows that there is a significant and positive influence on the program of education and training towards work achievement of employees.

Abstract

This study aims is to determine the influence of investment and the rate of inflation either partially or simultaneously to economic growth in Indonesia. This research was conducted in Indonesia using data quarterly for 9 years from 2005 to 2013. Types of data used are secondary data. The research method is using time series multiple regression method. The regression results showed that investment and inflation partially and simultaneosly has positive and significant effect on economic growth in Indonesia.

Abstract

Value of imports higher than exports, causing the trade deficit, the appreciation of the currency in the developed countries, and withdrawals by foreign investors on the Indonesian stock exchange market. These things cause the movement of the exchange rate USD-IDR and Indonesian Stock Price are volatile and tend to weaken in the period from January 3, 2011 - August 31, 2016. This study to determine spillover volatility of the exchange rate USD-IDR with Indonesian Stock Price. By using current time series data, analyzed by Augmented Dickey-Fuller (ADF), GARCH, and Granger Causality. The results of the data processing rate of USD-IDR and data Indonesian Stock Price stationary at first difference by changing the level of daily data into a return of the respective data. Data having problems heteroskedasticity so it can be analyzed using GARCH. Results of the analysis showed that there is a volatility spillover between the two data. Then granger causality test results show that the causality occurs in both directions, meaning that changes in the foreign exchange market to give effect to the capital markets, and vice versa.
