Mendudukkan Posisi Ijtihad Nabi Muhammad dalam Teks Ajaran Islam Muhib Rasyidi

Tulisan ini membahas ijtihad Rasulullah Saw. dalam kaitannya dengan ajaran Islam. Dengan pendekatan deskriptif-analitik, studi kepustakaan ini mengkaji berbagai keadaan Muhammad sebagai manusia biasa dan sebagai Nabi dan Rasul dalam menjalankan misinya sehari-hari. Studi ini menemukan bahwa kehidupan nyata dengan segala kompleksitasnya termasuk situasi yang menuntut jawaban yang segera menempatkan Muhammad melakukan ijtihad. Posisinya sebagai Nabi dan Rasul membuat ijtihadnya secara alamiah dianggap lebih penting dari ijtihad Muslim pada umumnya. Oleh karenanya, ijtihadnya menempati posisi tersendiri dalam ajaran Islam.

Rekonstruksi Pemahaman Hadis Analisis Hadis di dalam Fatwa MUI tentang Kesetaraan Jender Muhammad Nawir

The paper studies the use of Hadith in the discourse of gender issue reflected in the issuance of MUI’s fatwa. Using descriptive analytic method, it finds that the use of hadiths about gender equality in MUI’s fatwa was based on the validity of the hadith codified by authoritative Hadith scholars. The study confirms Ibnuddin’s (2011), M. Quraish Shihab’s (2003), and Yusuf al-Qarad}a>wi’s (2011) findings, which say that understanding the Traditions about women requires metaphorical interpretation. This study differs from M. Asrorun Ni'am Saleh’s (2012) which argues that that the MUI’s fatwa on female circumcision is neutral, and from Yunahar Ilyas’s (1997) which shows discrimination.

Interpretation Q.S. an-Nisa '4: 3 in the discourse of interpretation always discussed both classical and contemporary interpretations. The verse is always legitimized as a polygamy verse. But among some contemporary thoughts such as Nasr Hamid Abu Zaid point out that, the verse is not an order against polygamy but rather in the context of marriage it is recommended for monogomy. Specifically, there are five hermeneutic approaches offered by Nasr Hamid Abu Zaid, socio-cultural contexts, external contexts, internal contexts, language contexts, and contexts of reading and reading. The research approach is the literature study approach which is a series of approaches relating to searching various sources of writing, whether in the form of books, articles, journals, or documents relevant to the problem under study. Thus, it can be concluded that, the application of Nazr Hamid Abu Zaid hermenutics to the interpretation of Q.S. An-Nisa '4: 3 is understood as a monogamous context rather than a command against polygamy.

Problematika Kajian Alquran di Era Modern: Studi Pemikiran ‘Abīd al-Jābirī Miftah Khilmi

This paper examines a number of problems in Qur’anic studies in the perspective of ‘Abīd al-Jābirī. By using descriptive analytic method, the writer discusses issues about the Qur'an, takwil, interpretation, and the role of reason towards revelation. This study finds that al-Jābirī in discussing these issues combines normative Qur'anic considerations with empirical and rational considerations, to provide answers to religious perspectives whiches relevant to the demands of the times.

The sacredness of texts of Islamic law sources, Qur'an and Sunna, as holy texts and the ability of both in facing every evolving dynamics of human life really get the endurance examination today. On the one side, strict rules are necessary to keep the texts holy. At the same time, the rule could not limit the creativity of human thought which from the beginning was presented as God’s greatest gift for human beings. Qawa>’id Us}u>liyyah Tasyri>’iyyah in discourse of Us}u>l al-Fiqh comes in order to maintain holiness of the texts and fulfill human needs at the same time.

Surat al-Ikhlāṣ dalam Kitab Khazīnat al-Asrār Rahmatullah Rahmatullah

This paper discusses the magic aspects of surah al-Ikhlas in the book Khazīnat al-Asrār. This qualitative research answers what aspects of surah al-Ikhlas contained in this book. Through the analysis of Surah Al-Ikhlāṣ in the book, there are at least a few important points. First, the book affirms that the practice of magic in Islam is not a tradition that comes from outside, but it comes from the internal traditions of Muslims in which they are the arguments of authentic hadiths. Secondly, the Quran is believed to be the word of God provides magic values for its readers. It encourages reading certain letters, use as away to resould problems. encountered can be resolved. Thus, the mechanism of action is the same as magic, only it is packaged using Quranic verses.

The Use of Hadith in Faḍāil A‘māl book Alfi Syahriyati

This paper aims to discuss the Hadith in the book of Faḍāil A'māl by Maulana Zakariyya al-Kandahlawi. This book is the primary reference for the Tablighi Jamaat group in practicing the sunnahs of the Prophet Muhammad pbuh. By adopting the al-Irāqi method in capturing the book (takhrīj al-kitāb) of Iḥyā ‘Ulūm al-Dīn, this paper traces the authenticity of the Hadiths and potrays the interaction of the Tablighi Jamaat group with the book which later became a tradition in daily life. This paper find that there are 22 authentic (Ṣaḥiḥ) Hadiths, 1 good (Ḥasan) Hadith, 9 weak (dā’if) Hadith, 5 very weak (da’īf jiddan) Hadith, 1 fabricated (maudu’) Hadith, and 2 la aṣla lahu (lam ajidhu) Hadith in Faḍāil A'māl Book.

The Qur’ān and Woman’s Leadership Discourse in Indonesia: Modern Interpretation of QS. 4: 34 Kusmana Kusmana

The interpretation of QS. 4: 34 gains a new popularity in modern era as it has been used and abused as one of the references in discussing gender discourse in Islam. The paper discusses it in relation to woman’s leadership in modern Indonesian context. Hard-liners’ perceptions such as that of Salafi’s interpretation is excluded in this discussion. It deserves another adequate discussion. The paper also restricts its discussion to the thoughts of Hamka, M. Quraish Shihab, Husein Muhammad, and of Ministry of Religious Affairs’ interpretation and treats them as exemplary of what is going on in the field of Qur’anic interpretation in this context. Using a descriptive-analytic method, this study deploys a library review technique in answering its question of the study, “how modern Muslim Indonesian scholars interpret the QS. 4: 34 in the context of democracy of Indonesia? The study concludes that they in deciphering the verse tend to adapt the demand of democracy but with a careful maintenance of the traditional wisdom.

This study discusses the contribution of Arent Jan Wensinck in the science of takhrīj Hadith. Using the literature study method, this paper Arent Jan Wensinck contribution was in the science of takhrīj Hadith. Through searching the data contained in books, journals related to the topic, this study finds that Arent’s concept about the index of Hadith helps reviewer and users to find the intended hadith easier and faster.

Paradigma Sintesis Tafsir Teks Al-Qur’an Menimbang Hermeneutika Pemaknaan Teks Jorge J.E Gracia Sebagai Teori Penafsiran Tekstual al-Qur’an Syamsul Wathani

Artikel ini membahas konsep hermeneutika pemaknaan teks Jorge J.E Gracia sebagai teori penafsiran tekstual al-Qur’an, dengan tiga poin pokok bahasan: (i) narasi tekstualitas al-Qur’an sebagai obyek penafsiran (ii) hermeneutika teks Jorge J.E Gracia dan (iii) paradigma tafsir tekstual terhadap al-Qur’an. Pola kajian artikel ini diarahkan pada analisis interpretatif-strukturasi, dengan melakukan analisis isi (content analysis) pada karya utama tokoh. Artikel ini menemukan bahwa: (1) Konsep teks al-Qur’an atau al-Naṣṣ adalah kesadaran utama, sebab al-Qur’an adalah sesuatu terbaca/tersentuh (al-Maktūb), ia memiliki entitas hurf, al-Qur’an, al-kitab, ayat, kalimat dan al-risalah. (2) Nalar hermeneutis pemaknaan teks ala Gracia mengurai kesalahpahaman (misunderstanding) teks, dengan metode the development of textual interpretation, untuk menjembatani kesejarahan teks dengan keadaan audiens. (3) Paradigma tafsir tekstual dengan konsep “al-nash” bekerja dengan menekankan pada adanya pemahaman yang baik atas teks, audiens, konteks, karena teks al-Qur’an itu tidak sebatas tertulis dalam sebuah bentuk (form), ia begitu kompleks, ia sebuah konstruksi (construction), kombinasi (combination) dan korelasi (correlation).
