Abstract

The use of concrete is widely used because of its superiority among other ze strong in press conditions and weak in tensile conditions, and also the structural elements of the most widely used in building, because the material is easy to obtain and easy to make or easy to do. In the first experiment with a mixture of coarse and fine aggregate gradation naturally obtained an average compressive strength of 88.61 kg / cm3. In a second experiment with a mixture of coarse aggregate and fine aggregate gradation modification of the natural gradations obtained an average compressive strength of 103.31 kg / cm3. In the third experiment with a mixture of coarse aggregate and fine aggregate gradation modification of 50% and 50% natural materials sand material origin Mount Sugih obtained an average compressive strength of 121.24 kg / cm3

Abstract

The background of this research concerns the background by the number of severely malnourished children are increasing each year. Currently the data processing system and the calculation of the nutritional status of children under five are still using manual systems. Reporting nutritional status of children still using paper media which resulted in the frequent occurrence of data redundancy toddlers and infants often data loss occurs. To the authors conducted in-depth research that focuses on how to do the reporting and determination of the nutritional status of infants is more effective and efficient utuk always monitoring early childhood development. So in scientific research, the writer make an application determinants of nutrition in infants to help health centers in Mount harbor reporting and monitoring. This application method is used to support the assessment of nutritional status of children in health centers Mount Labuan is Simple Additive Weighting (SAW). SAW method is to find a weighted summation of rating the performance of each alternative on all attributes (Fishburn, 1967) (MacCrimmon, 1968). This method is the most famous and most widely used in dealing with situations of Multiple Attribute Decision Making (MADM). MADM itself is a method used to find the optimal alternative of a number of alternatives to certain criteria.

Abstract

Performance Evaluation using Balanced Scorecard already establish in early 1990 introduced by Robert S. Kaplan and David P. Norton. They measured performance evaluation using customer's perspective, internal business perspective, innovation and learning perspective and financial perspective. Balanced scored card give new perspective line beside only financial perspective. Knowledge management efforts typically focus on organizational objectives such as improved performance, competitive advantage, innovation, the sharing of lessons learned, integration and continuous improvement of the organization. Implementing of Information Technology on Knowledge Management can be used to automate and control the process. Learning process as we know is one of three factor for increasing performance. The aim for this research is knowing how far Implementing of Information Technology on Knowledge Management influencing organizational performance.

Abstract

Weather and climate are influencing factors for tourism. Tourism destinations often require information about the weather and climate to assess their climate potential. In this regard, study on thermal bioclimate, i.e. human thermal comfort is essential. This study has assessed tourist thermal comfort perceptions and adaptation in Kuta, Bali Province of Indonesia, by applying physiologically equivalent temperature (PET) and thermal perception classifications (TPCs) for temperate and sub(tropical) regions. Analytical calculation of PET utilized RayMan model and synoptic meteorological data covering the period 2002-2012. The results show that frequencies of thermal comfort during whole day (02:00-23:00) for tourists from temperate region are higher than those for tourists from (sub)tropical region, indicating that tourism potential based on thermal comfort is high for those from the temperate region. However, around noon (11:00-17:00), thermal comfort of the tourists from (sub)tropical region is better (in which indicating more adaptable to the daytime climate conditions) than that of the tourists from the temperate region. In addition, it is shown that the months from June to September, particularly in July and August are the most suitable time to travel for the tourists from temperate region, whereas all year round is appropriate for those tourists from (sub)tropical region.

Abstract

Surakarta has implemented strategies of hawkers arrangement, such as relocation and stabilization. However, in 2012, after the arrangement, the number of hawkers increased not only new hawkers but also those who had been arranged before. They returned to illegal location due to perception that their needs were not accommodated. On the other side, hawkers’ needs are different depending on their commodity types. The correlation among the characteristics of hawkers by commodity types, hawkers’ involvement in arrangement process and the arrangement success, has prompted authors to develop hawkers empowerment strategies in Surakarta, which is adaptive to those components. The analysis was done by frequency distribution and descriptive techniques. The results of this study showed that the arrangement process has not been able to fully empower the hawkers. Strategies are then formulated into five groups according to the type of commodity: non-food, raw-food, consumed-at-place fast food, take-away fast food, and services.
