Abstract

Abstract Husein Sastranegara International Airport is one of the gates for economic sector for West Java Province. The number of passengers in 2013 had reached 2,657,984 passengers and it has exceeded the capacity of existing passenger terminal which can only accommodate 750,000 passengers per year. Passenger terminal is expanded up to 17,000 m2 with capacity of 3,400,000 passengers per year. The investment value of this project was estimated to be Rp 126,505,457,542.00. In this study the financial feasibility analysis is calculated by Net Present Value, Internal Rate Return, and Benefit Cost Ratio Methods. This study shows that this passenger terminal project have a positive net present value, internal rate return is greater than minimum attractive rate of return, and benefit cost ratio is greater than 1 meaning that the development of the passenger terminal is financially feasible. Keywords: passenger terminal, financial feasibility, net present value, internal rate return, benefit cost ratio  Abstrak Bandar Udara Internasional Husein Sastranegara merupakan salah satu gerbang sektor perekonomian Provinsi Jawa Barat. Jumlah pergerakan penumpang tahun 2013 telah mencapai 2.657.984 penumpang dan jumlah tersebut telah melampaui kapasitas terminal penumpang yang tersedia, yaitu 750.000 penumpang per tahun. Terminal penumpang ini diperluas hingga 17.000 m2 dengan kapasitas tampung sebesar 3.400.000 penumpang per tahun. Nilai investasi proyek ini diperkirakan sebesar Rp 126.505.457.542,00. Pada studi ini analisis kelayakan finansial dilakukan dengan 3 metode, yaitu Metode Nilai Sekarang Bersih, Metode Tingkat Pengembalian Bunga Internal, dan Metode Rasio Manfaat Biaya. Hasil studi ini menunjukkan bahwa proyek ini mempunyai nilai sekarang bersih positif, tingkat pengembalian bunga internal lebih besar daripada tingkat pengembalian yang diinginkan, dan rasio manfaat biaya lebih besar daripada 1, yang berarti proyek pengembangan terminal penumpang ini merupakan investasi yang layak secara finansial. Kata-kata kunci: terminal penumpang, kelayakan finansial, nilai sekarang bersih, tingkat pengembalian bunga internal, rasio manfaat biaya

Abstract

The Sulawesi Island is a region which has been growing and the development related to the economicdevelopment - era and the global trade. The potency of natural resource and the geographic location ofSulawesi are very prospective to be promoted to the National and International Market. For the reason, theexistence of efficient and effective transportation network system can support the wheel of economy inSulawesi. The integrated infrastructure and service networks are therefor demanded to reduce travel time sothat transportation cost can also be minimized. Abstract

Abstrak Secara spasial, selama ini pembangunan infrastruktur masih terfokus di kawasan perkotaan, masih sedikit perhatian pembangunan ditujukan pada daerah-daerah perdesaan yang berimplikasi pada tidak meratanya hasil-hasil pembangunan dinikmati oleh segenap masyarakat, dan terjadi kesenjangan kualitas hidup masyarakat, baik dalam level desa-kota secara makro, maupun dalam level perdesaan yang dibedakan berdasarkan tingkat aksesibilitasnya secara mikro. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat lebih jelas bagaimana kesejangan pembangunan yang terjadi pada level mikro,serta menganalisis hubungan antara peningkatan aksesibilitas dengan peningkatan pembangunan.Pada penelitian ini akan dikaitkan antara karakteristik aksesibilitas pada kawasan perdesaan dengan variabel-variabel pembangunan, income perkapita, mobilitas, kepadatan penduduk, dan kepadatan aktivitas, sehingga masing-masing variabel tersebut dapat dimodelkan dan diuji taraf signifikansinya pada tingkat signifikansi a = 5%, serta diujikan dalam suatu blok persamaan simultan dengan menggunakan analisis regresi, dan metode penyelesaian persamaan simultan dengan sistem iterasi Gauss-Seidel. Sampel terdiri dari tiga buah kecamatan (Kecamatan Tinanggea, Kecamatan Poleang Timur, dan Kecamatan Watubangga), dan dari masing-masing kecamatan tersebut dipilih tiga buah desa, sehingga total sampel desa sebanyak sembilan buah desa, dari sembilan desa tersebut dipilih secara acak masing-masing 40 buah rumah tangga (total rumah tangga sebanyak 360 buah, dan sampel individu sebanyak 984 orang responden).Beberapa hasil dan kesimpulan penting yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah: peningkatan yang terjadi pada variabel aksesibilitas mengakibatkan peningkatan yang cukup signifikan pada variabel-variabel independen lainnya seperti pembangunan, income, mobilitas, kepadatan penduduk, dan kepadatan aktivitas. Peningkatan pembangunan, peningkatan pendapatan perkapita masyarakat, perbaikan mobilitas, dan peningkatan aksesibilitas pada suatu lokasi menjadi daya tarik bagi migran untuk datang beraktivitas maupun tinggal pada lokasi tersebut, sehingga kepadatan penduduk juga akan semakin tinggi. Lokasi dengan akses yang lebih baik cenderung mempunyai kepadatan penduduk yang lebih tinggi. Desa dengan akses baik hingga sedang memiliki partisipasi dan peranan wanita yang lebih baik dari aspek pekerjaan, pendidikan dan pendapatan jika dibandingkan dengan desa berakses jelek.Kata-kata kunci: aksesibilitas, mobilitas, urbanisasi, kemiskinan, perdesaan

Abstract

This paper presents an investigation of important factors relating sidewalk performance based on pedestrian perceptions by gender and age. Exploratory factor analysis technique and reliability test of the variables are performed on 45 items of sidewalk current condition in order to extract dimensions of pedestrian perceptions in Jakarta and Bangkok. Based on age, male respondents reveals that eight factors are identified as important on sidewalk performance, and labeled on the basis of the attributed covered as sidewalk interaction, comfort, space availability, safety, vendor problems, walking path, vendor regulation, and vendor’s attraction. On the other hand, the first seven factors are similarly stated by female respondents. Grouped by age, young respondents reveal nine factors are considered important and arbitrarily named as comfort, sidewalk interaction, safety, vendor’s attraction, vendor problems, vendor regulation, walking path, space availability, and sidewalk condition. The presence of vendors are often deemed as obstruction for walking flow, but their activities should be accommodated by establishing policies and management to accept high performance of the sidewalks and to support the city’s economy.Keywords: sidewalk, street vendor, factor analysis

Abstract

Abstract Research on the relationship between weather and transportation has several benefits, such as to anticipate the weather-induced impacts on travel behavior and transport activities and to assist the Government to pay attention to weather factors in every decision, both in the planning and implementation of a program. Indonesia is a tropical country that has only two types of weather conditions, namely dry and rainy, and both can affect the transport system, either directly or indirectly. In this study, the perception and experience of passengers as the primary data were used to find the relationship between weather and public transportation. Then the data were analyzed through qualitative and quantitative approach. From this study it is known that the number of public transport passengers increased during heavy rains by 8.9%, when strong winds of 10.1%, and increased by 3% during hot weather. The weather also affects the desire, travel behavior, perceptions of the condition of public transport, the type of vehicle used, the time of departure, and the travel decisions. Keywords: public transport, weather variability, travel behavior, passenger perception  Abstrak Penelitian tentang hubungan antara cuaca dan transportasi memiliki beberapa keuntungan, seperti untuk mengantisipasi dampak yang disebabkan cuaca terhadap perilaku perjalanan dan aktivitas transportasi serta untuk membantu Pemerintah agar memperhatikan faktor cuaca di setiap keputusan, baik dalam perencanaan maupun implementasi suatu program. Indonesia merupakan negara beriklim tropis yang hanya memiliki dua jenis kondisi cuaca, yaitu kemarau dan penghujan, dan keduanya dapat mempengaruhi sistem transportasi, baik langsung maupun tidak langsung. Pada studi ini digunakan persepsi dan pengalaman penumpang sebagai data primer untuk mencari hubungan antara cuaca dan angkutan umum. Kemudian dilakukan analisis melalui pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Dari studi ini diketahui bahwa jumlah penumpang angkutan umum mengalami peningkatan saat hujan deras sebesar 8,9%, saat angin kencang sebesar 10,1%, dan meningkat 3% saat cuaca panas. Cuaca juga mempengaruhi keinginan, travel behavior, persepsi terhadap kondisi angkutan umum, jenis kendaraan yang digunakan, waktu keberangkatan, dan keputusan-keputusan melakukan perjalanan. Kata-kata kunci: angkutan umum, cuaca, perilaku perjalanan, persepsi penumpang

Abstract

Jakarta and Jabodetabek area (Greater Jakarta) developed very rapidly in the last ten years. In addition, the development in this region led to the increased of motor vehicle ownership, particularly motorcycles. The growth in the number of vehicles that are not followed by the addition of a sufficient length of road causing traffic problems in the Jabodetabek area. Within about 10 years, travel time increased or travel speed dropped significantly in Jakarta. In addition, the implementation of several development programs, as results of the Study on Integrated Transportation Master Plan for the Jabodetabek (SITRAMP Jabodetabek) are not going according to plan, caused by weak legislation, lack of financial resources, difficulties in land acquisition, institutional constraints, and constraints in the implementation of traffic restrictions.Keywords: motor vehicle ownership, travel time, SITRAMP Jabodetabek

Abstract

Abstract The main factor in trip assignment models is the perception of trip makers about their travel costs. In real condition, trip makers usually do not obtain accurate information to estimate their travel costs.  Travel costs are usually expressed using a linguistic term, such like “travel time from A to B is about 10 minutes”, which can not be measured precisely (values with a specific range). Using fuzzy method, the ”about” condition can be formulated in the term of fuzzy set with a value having lower-bound and upper-bound boundaries. The set is called fuzzy-travel-cost. In this paper, the trip assignment using fuzzy-travel-cost is compared with that using the deterministic travel cost. The result shows that fuzy-travel-cost model gives a better result than the deterministic travel cost model.Keywords: trip assignment model, fuzzy-travel-cost, fuzzy-shortest-path

Abstract

Abstract Stated Preference method is a flexible non-market valuation method, which is widely used in the cost-benefit analysis. In this study, the willingness to pay for passenger cars is estimated and compared using two different Stated Preference methods, namely the Contingent Valuation and Stated Choice methods. These models are applied to estimate the non-market value of road safety in the City of Bandung. Interviews were conducted with more than 500 residents of the City of Bandung. The results showed that the willingness to pay using contingent valuation method is Rp 180.32/km and willingness to pay using stated choice method is Rp 333.7/km. The main concern for these models is the reliability and validity of the assessment results, because there is a hypothetical question and a big gap between the two models. Therefore the reliability examination for both models is the most significant problem. Keywords: stated preference, valuation method, contingent valuation, stated choice, road safety  AbstrakMetode Stated Preference adalah metode penilaian nonpasar yang fleksibel, yang banyak digunakan dalam analisis biaya-manfaat. Pada penelitian ini kesediaan membayar pengguna mobil penumpang diperkirakan dan dibandingkan dengan menggunakan dua metode Stated Preference yang berbeda, yaitu metode Contingent Valuation dan metode Stated Choice. Model-model ini diterapkan untuk mengestimasi nilai nonpasar keselamatan jalan di Kota Bandung. Survei wawancara dilakukan dengan melibatkan lebih dari 500 orang penduduk Kota Bandung. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kemauan membayar dengan menggunakan metode contingent valuation adalah Rp 180,32/km dan kemauan membayar dengan menggunakan metode stated choice adalah Rp 333,7/km. Perhatian utama untuk model-model ini adalah keandalan dan validitas hasil penilaian, karena terdapat pertanyaan hipotetis dan kesenjangan yang besar di antara kedua model. Karena itu pemeriksaan keandalan untuk kedua model ini merupakan suatu masalah yang paling signifikan. Kata-kata kunci: stated preference, metode penilaian, contingent valuation, stated choice, keselamatan jalan

Abstract

Many factors influence drivers to select the best route for their travel. With this reason, truck drivers carrying coal in Banjarmasin area have to find what routes give them the most benefit to transport coal from coal mines to stockpiles. This study aims to determine factors affecting the productivity of trucks transporting coal through road network in the city of Banjarmasin. The results show that only travel time and vehicle types affect the truck productivity significantly.Keywords: truck productivity, road network, and coal transport.
