Education aims to construct students to become independent human beings physically and spiritually. To make this happen, educators must have pedagogic competence, which is necessary to support them as professional educators. The pedagogic concept is inseparable from a well-known figure in the world of education, namely Ki Hadjar Dewantara, who gave birth to the concepts of Momong, Among, and Ngemong, based on the concept of humanist education that shows the cultural characteristics of the Indonesian nation. The research method used is qualitative with a Case Study approach, which aims to find out the humanist concept of increasing teacher understanding. The research results indicate that to understand and protect the needs of students, it is necessary to understand pedagogical competency standards to become professional educators, and educators need to be involved in self-development, and collaboration in achieving humanist learning that includes students’ understanding, class management skills, and the ability to provide constructive feedback by determining one of which that refers to the educational concept of Ki Hadjar Dewantara.

Abstract

This paper is a Classroom Action Research (PTK) conducted collaboratively between researchers and collaborators, which aims to improve students’ learning outcomes in mathematics learning subjects on data processing learning in class VA at SDN Gunung Gede by applying the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model. The research subjects involved 38 students, which consist of 16 male and 22 female students. Data collection techniques in the research used five instruments, namely learning implementation assessment, changes in student activity, tests or students’ learning outcomes, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used was quantitative and qualitative analyses. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that learning with the PBL model can improve students’ learning outcomes. Learning outcomes in cycle 1 were 66% of the total students who complete and increased in cycle II to 87%. While the average score results of student activity observation in cycle I were 74 and increased in cycle II to 91.4. The quality of the learning process in cycle I likewise was 78% and in cycle II increased to 96%. Thus, the implementation of the PBL model can improve the students’ learning outcomes on mathematics learning subjects in data processing learning in class VA at Gunung Gede Elementary School in Bogor.

Abstract

This paper is based on research about learning in which the students still obtain learning from the teachers only and the students did not contribute during the learning process mostly. It is because the teacher did not implement innovative, creative, and diverse models. The research aims to describe how Integrated Thematic learning assisted by Time Token model in Class V at SDN 16 Enam Lingkung in Padang Pariaman can improve students’ learning outcomes. The research approach is Classroom Action Research. The research subjects involved 18 teachers and students in class V. Data collection was carried out through observations, documents, tests, and non-tests. The research was conducted in two phases, Cycle I and II. In Cycle I, according to the lesson plan's findings, the average percentage was 83.33% (excellent), conversely, in Cycle II, the average percentage was 94.44%. (excellent). In Cycle I, according to the teacher, the average percentage was 82.81% (good), conversely, in Cycle II, the average percentage was 93.75%. (excellent). Students' average learning outcomes in Cycle I were 75.9% and the student’s average learning outcomes in Cycle II were 89.13%. Thus, the Time Token technique in integrated thematic learning indicates students' learning outcomes produce an improvement.

Abstract

This paper discusses the success or failure of the implementation of civic education learning programs that implement character values. The assessment was carried out by analyzing the Context, Input, Process, and Product for the implementation of the civic education learning program in class 5 at SD Negeri Jumo. The research was conducted from October to February 2022 to 2023. The research is evaluation research with a qualitative approach using the CIPP model. The research results indicate that context, seen from the vision, mission, school goals, syllabus, strategies, and programs, is appropriate and supports character building. Input is also based on the background of the teachers, students, facilities/infrastructure, formulation of lesson plans, and teaching materials that are appropriate in supporting the learning process so that the learning process can be carried out properly. The process is in the form of implementing civic education learning in which the teacher has carried out according to the lesson plans, in the implementation, the right methods/strategies, tools/media, and teaching materials have supported character education. The product has been achieved enough well, where students already have character values such as applying 5S (smile, greeting, greeting, being polite and courteous), cooperation, mutual cooperation, etc, and can apply them in everyday life. The process of civic education learning programs can be said to succeed as seen from students’ product data.

Abstract

This paper reports students’ learning outcomes by applying the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in class V at SDN 11 Kurao Pagang Padang in thematic learning. The research is CAR (Classroom Action Research) by applying qualitative and quantitative approaches. In order to obtain the expected learning outcomes by implementing the PBL model, four activities are applied, namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. In Cycle I, the result indicates a percentage value of 81.25% and increased to 97.5% in Cycle II. In the implementation aspect, the learning outcome in Cycle 1 was 80.35 and increased to 96.42% in Cycle II. In another aspect, learning outcomes indicate an average score of 77.25 in Cycle I and increased to 87 in Cycle II. Therefore, it can be concluded that the model, Problem-based Learning model (PBL), can produce an increase in the acquisition of students’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

The moral education of elementary students still have lack concern because the learning process requires material guidance with well planning and assistance from other aspects, such as learning media, so that it can influence the moral development of students who deviate from state rules and regulations. Therefore, researchers utilize learning media in the form of digital books. The purpose of the research is to form the noble character of elementary students by applying innovative media. The media developed by researchers is called Budikasta (Digital Book of Kak Arin the Storyteller), this digital book discusses the brotherhood that occurs between the Muhajirin and the Ansar. The research uses the Design and Development (D&D) method with a research model retrieved by Peffers et al, there are six stages of D&D research, namely 1) identifying the problem, 2) describing the objectives, 3) designing and developing the product, 4) testing the product, 5) evaluating the testing result, and 6) confirming the testing results. The research results imply that the Budikasta learning media (Digital Book of Kak Arin the Storyteller) are suitable to use in PAI learning subjects in elementary schools.

Abstract

Quality learning influences students’ learning outcomes. In accordance with the demands of 21st-century education, teachers need to apply innovative learning models. This paper discusses students’ learning outcomes in natural science learning subjects by applying the Quantum Learning model for fourth-grade students at SDN Cipinang Muara 07 PG. The research design is classroom action research using the Kemmis and Taggart model, which consists of 3 cycles that have stages for each cycle, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research data consists of process and students’ learning outcome data. Process data were obtained through observation sheets of teacher and students’ activity and learning outcome data that was obtained through tests. The research results indicate an increase in the completeness of students’ learning outcomes in each cycle. Students who completed Cycle I were only 46% and students who did not complete were 54%. In cycle II, it increased to 64% for students who completed and 36% for students who did not complete. Meanwhile, in cycle III, most of the students achieved 86% and only 14% have not achieved the result. In conclusion, there was an increase in learning outcomes in each cycle so it can be argued that the implementation of the Quantum Learning model in natural science learning subjects on plant parts learning material succeed in improving students’ learning outcomes.
