Abstract

This study aims to improve students' motivation in mathematics for grade VII-2 SMP 13 Pekanbaru through the application of learning models of Search Solve Create Share (SSCS). Subjects in this study were students of grade VII-2 SMP 13 Pekanbaru in academic year of 2013/2014, and the number of students as much as 36 people. While the object of this research is the application of learning models of Search Solve Create Share (SSCS) to increase students' motivation to learn mathematics for grade VII-2 SMP 13 Pekanbaru. This research was conducted in two cycles. The first cycle consists of two meetings and the second cycle consists of three meetings. In order to study this class action work well without the barriers that interfere with the research, researchers compiled stages traversed in action research, namely: planning/ preparation of action, action, observation and reflection. Based on the research results, itcould be concluded that this study could improve students' motivation to learn mathematics for grade VII-2 SMP 13 Pekanbaru. The average student motivation classically at the meeting before the action was 35.3%, whereas in the first cycle average increase student motivation to learn mathematics to 45.7%; and the second cycle increased to 71.8%. From these, the application of learning models of Search Solve Create Share (SSCS) can increase students' motivation to learn mathematics for grade VII-2 SMP 13 Pekanbaru.

Abstract

This research intent to see how big influence of approaching aptitude treatment interaction (ATI) to mathematics concept grasp student brazes VIII SMP Country 25 Pekanbaru. This research constitute my research experiment attention. Subjec in observational it is student braze VIII4 as agglomerate as experiment by totals student 40 person and VIII3'S classes as agglomerate as controls by totals students 40. Base analisis data to pretes's score to know student startup ability on agglomerate experiment and control group. On student experiment group that will study by ATI'S approaching has average early learned result mathematics (pretes) as big as 17,15. Meanwhile on group controls student who will study by ordinary learning (conventional) have average early learned result mathematics (pretes) as big as 13,85. Analisis is data to postes's score on agglomerate learned student experiment with ATI'S approaching has average final learned result mathematics (postes) as big as 74,63. Meanwhile on group controls learned student with ordinary learning (conventional) have average final learned result mathematics (postes) as big as 62,93. Of quiz result distinctive both of average usufruct to study mathematics finals (postes) that points out that there is difference which signifikan among both of experiment class with control class.

Abstract

The problem in this research was social studies student achievement in fourth grade (IV) SDN 169 Pekanbaru still low with average value 63.88 (with KKM 75). The purpose of this research was to improve the student achievement of the fourth grade (IV) SDN 169 Pekanbaru with the implementation of Problem Based Learning model. This research was classroom action research with two cycles in first semester 2015. Before implementation Problem Based Learning average 63.88, after implementation of Problem Based Learning, UH I was 71.25 that improve 11.54% from before exam with average 61.62. UH II was 80.38 that improve 25.83%. Teacher’s activities with the implementation of Problem BasedLearning at first meeting of first cycle was 70% (good category), and second meeting was 80% (good category) that improve 10 point. At second cycle, teacher’s activitiesat first meeting was 90% (very good category) that improve 10 point from second meeting of first cycle. Second meeting of second cycle was 95% (very good category) which improve 5 point. Students activities at first meeting of first cycle was 65% (good category), and second meeting 75% (good category) that improve 10 point. At second cycle, student activities at first meeting was 80% (good category) that improve 5 point from second meeting of first cycle. Second meeting of second cycle was 85% (very good category) which improve 5 point. Implementation of Problem Based Learning model can improvedsocial studies student achievement of fourth grade (IV) SDN 169 Pekanbaru.

Abstract

This research focuses on an effort to look improvement of activities and a biology subject result as an effect of implemention of Numbered Head Together (NHT) in learning. This research was done at SMP N 25 Pekanbaru on biology subject, with subject was 40 students of class VII-1, 19 females and 21 males. After this research has been done, the average students' activities increased on activity of listening teacher's explanation from 90% in the first cycle into 94% in the second cycle. Then it was a proof that learning biology process with using Cooperatif Learning Model Type Number Heads-Together can increase students' participantion in learning process on classroom discussion. Meanwhile, students' result on Biology learning, Animal Classification, in class VII-1 on SMPN 25 Pekanbaru using Cooperative Learning Model Type Numbered Heads Together increased from first to second cycle. In can be seen from thoroughness percentage of students who achieved above school standar, KKM, namely 27 person (68%) on the first cycle and 34 person (85%) on the second cycle, or it increased 17%.

Abstract

The problem in this research was the low score of students’ learning outcomes in social science. There were still many students who did not understand basic concepts and tended to memorize examples. This condition was shown by only 58.07% of 31 students achieving the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) based on students’ test scores in class IVC of SDN 108 Pekanbaru for the cooperative subject. The students’ average score was 62.4, while the KKM determined by the school was 68. Based on this problem, it was necessary to conduct classroom action research using the cooperative learning model of the Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) type. This research aimed to determine whether the implementation of the cooperative learning model of the Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) type could improve students’ social science learning outcomes in class IVC of SDN 108 Pekanbaru in the 2013/2014 academic year with 31 students. This research was conducted in two cycles. The first cycle consisted of three meetings with one daily test and the first tournament, while the second cycle consisted of three meetings with one daily test and the second tournament. The instruments used to collect data in this research were teacher observation sheets, student observation sheets, and tests. Through the implementation of the cooperative learning model of the Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) type, students’ learning outcomes improved. The percentage of completeness in the basic score was 54.8% with an average score of 62.40, which increased to 77.4% with an average score of 75.6 in cycle I and further increased to 87.1% with an average score of 81.1 in cycle II. The percentage of teacher activity in cycle I was 81.9% and increased to 92.3% in cycle II. Meanwhile, the percentage of students’ activity in cycle I was 75.4% and increased to 92.2% in cycle II. Based on these data, it can be concluded that the implementation of the cooperative learning model of the Teams Games Tournaments (TGT) type can improve students’ learning outcomes in class IVC of SDN 108 Pekanbaru.

Abstract

The mathematics learning process implemented by teachers in grade II of SDN 034 Tarai Bangun had not yet employed engaging instructional methods, resulting in passive student participation. Learning activities were predominantly teacher-centered, with an emphasis on explaining mathematical theory without involving students in discovering concepts through real and meaningful activities. This condition limited students’ conceptual understanding and learning outcomes. This research aimed to determine whether the use of bead media within the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach could improve students’ mathematics learning outcomes in class II.A of SDN 034 Tarai Bangun in the 2013/2014 academic year. The research involved 26 students and applied an experimental design consisting of an experimental class and a control class. Based on the analysis of pretest and posttest data, learning outcomes increased in both classes, although the improvement in the experimental class was significantly higher. In the experimental class, the average pretest score increased from 60.95 to 75.42, showing an improvement of 23%. Meanwhile, in the control class, the average score increased from 55.16 to 58.06, with an improvement of only 5%. These results indicate that the integration of bead media through the Realistic Mathematics Education approach was more effective in enhancing students’ learning outcomes. To examine whether the difference between the two classes was statistically significant, a t-test was conducted with 60 degrees of freedom. The results showed that the calculated t-value was greater than the critical value of the t-table, leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis (H₀) and acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (H₁). Therefore, it can be concluded that there was a significant difference in mathematics learning outcomes between students taught using bead media within the RME approach and those taught using conventional methods.

Abstract

This study is a quasi experimental study aimed to describe the use of methods SQ3R and motivation and student learning outcomes learning materials reading comprehension. Implementation of the research in accordance with the learning procedure starting from planning, core activities and weekend activities. This study is an experimental research that distinguishes SQ3R method and conventional methods as well as motivation and learning outcomes. Research subjects a class XI student of SMAN 12 Pekanbaru. Results motivation and learning outcomes that motivated the data analysis methods SQ3R average of 129.56 and an average of 119.11 conventional methods; (2) Analysis of the average data overall learning outcomes of the students taught using methods SQ3R of 26.56 and 22.33 for the conventionalmethod difference 4.23; (3) Analysis of average data results that are taught using methods SQ3R highest score 30.67 High Group and group the highest score 22.24 Low 8.23 difference in numbers; average data analysis of learning outcomes are taught with methods SQ3R study group Low highest score 26.28 and Conventional High group scores highest score group low 26.28 and the lowest scoring average 18.39 7.89 difference in numbers. So from this analysiscan be concluded that the method SQ3R motivation and learning outcomes is higher than the motivation and learning outcomes conventional methods.

Abstract

Study of development of physical motorik in Kindergaten must be done with the technique and way of interesting, so that child motivated to follow the study activity. As characteristic of study system in Kindergaten that is learn at the same time play at and play at at the same time learn. Play at to represent the basic requirement every child. Its meaning, playing at to represent one of most phenomenon of natural or natural in phase of child life. Effort teacher to develop the motoric child not yet showed the maximal result and lack of physic appliance supporting study, so that child of indigent of application of teacher boldness, require to be by effort of study development which inspirative, inovative, challenging, pleasing and motivating and can give the positive response learn to child to increase process and development of motoric child. This research aim to description of applying of practice technique to increase skill of motoric of child and description of applying of practice technique to increase activities of learn child in TK Karnida Bahagia of Perum Sidomulyo Pekanbaru. Data collecting of research at even semester of study year 2009-2010, The research instrument that is sheet of observation of activity of child and teacher. Analyse the data by qualitative usher the cycle, while analysis of result of domination motoric with the quantitative approach. The research result got by conclusion that applying of practice technique can uplift skill the motorik of child and applying of practice technique can improve the activity learn child in TK Karnida Bahagia of Perum Sidomulyo Pekanbaru. Applying of practice Technique can give the positive respon, capable to improve the effectiveness of domination of motorik child. And to reaching of study result by playing at optimal, have to be supported ably the understanding of teacher to structure of anatomy of body and function. With this understanding is teacher can create the creative game, inspiration, innovate, challenging, pleasing, and motivating, supporting growth of ability motoric needed by child.

Abstract

This study titled STAD type of cooperative use to improve student learning outcomes Learning Math Class V SDN 002 Bagan Besar. This study aims to increase in activity and the results of student learning using STAD type of cooperative learning in Math Class V student of SDN 002 Bagan Besar Kecamatan Bukit Kapur Dumai. The method used is descriptive method with the form of classroom action research study. The results obtained are student activity. Shows that the use of cooperative methods can enhance the activity and results of students of class V SDN 002 Bagan Besar Kecamatan Bukit Kapur Dumai.

Abstract

Based on the researcher’s observation on the field, it seems that the ability of students of SMK Teknologi Riau in long jump is still low, and many students don’t have good enough techniques of long jump itself, besides that, the training method that is used is not appropriate yet. The purpose of this research is to find out the effect of circuit training method, conventional method and motivation performance towards the students’ long jump ability at SMK Teknologi Riau. This type of this research is quasi-experimental using factorial 2x2, the population of this research are the tenth grade students of SMK Teknologi Riau consist of 107 students, while the samples of this observation are 88 male students and make this sample become 27% high group (27% from 88 students=24 male students) and 27% low group (27% from 88 male students=24students), so that the total sample who are given the methods are 48 students. The instrument that is used is long jump test. The data has been analyzed by two ways anava and Tuckey test. The result of data analysis shows that: (1) There are different of result of long jump ability between circuit and conventional groups ( Fvalue = 4.75 ˃ Ftable = 4.06 ), (2) There are interaction between training method and motivation (Fvalue = 46.35 ˃ Ftable = 4.06 ), (3) The motivation got high category, the ability of students long jump who are given circuit method are better than the students who are given conventional method (Qh = 3.08 ˃ Qt = 2.91 ), (4) In the motivation has got low category, the ability of students’ long jump who are given conventional method is better than the students who are given circuit method ( Qh = 3.85 ˃ Qt= 3.76 ).
