Abstract

The problem in this study was the lack of ability to appreciate the art works on PGSD FKIP-UR students that could be seen from the ability to distinguish works of craft and art works. The students had low ability to explain the function and meaning of craft objects in public life in accordance with the local culture. They had also lack of awards both morally and materially to the creation of creative crafts. They had lack of ability in the understanding of concepts, reasoning, and problem solving art crafts. Based on the problems it was necessary to find away to solve those problems. The teaching methods were needed to be changed. In this study, the researcher applied local wisdom approach. This research was conducted in two cycles, in which each cycle consisted of two meetings. The application of local wisdom approach involved a conscious effort to engage students actively and creatively. Subjects in this study were fourth semester PGSD FKIP-UR students. Research data collection instruments consisted of observation activity sheets and sheets of faculty and students to replay the end of the test cycle. The study was a classroom action research (CAR). This study aimed to increase art appreciation fourth semester PGSD FKIP-UR students. The results of this study indicated that the application of local wisdom approach improved PGSD FKIP-UR students` art Spreciation, with the average value of the initial score 58,41into 84,75 in the second cycle. The average value of faculty activity sheet also increased from an average score 68,15 into 94.75. Students` activities also increased from an average score 63,24% in the first cycle to 89.80%. Thus, the research hypothesis, if applying local wisdom approach, the ability of PGSD FKIP-UR students to approach art appreciation increased, was proven.

Abstract

Problem in the research was started from observation that the author encountered in the field. It turned out the implementation of the O’Brien shot-put movement of second semester students at Sports Coaching Education Riau University was still a lot of lack such that students’ shooting was not so optimal which was allegedly influenced by powerful arm and leg muscles. The purpose of this research was to find the contribution of powerful arm and leg muscles to the shot-put result of second semester students at Sports Coaching Education Riau University. The research method was correlation. The population in this research was 78 second semester students of Sports Coaching Education Riau University using purposive sampling technique. The sample on this research was defined as many as 45 male students who had passed the O’Brien shot-put style. To get the data researchers used a shot-put test, standing broad jump and the O’Brien shot-put result. The data were analyzed with product moment and coefficients of determinant for determining contributions. Based on the analysis of the data it was found that there was a significant relationship between the powerful arm muscles and the shot-put result obtained r.count 0,257 > r.table 0,294 with contributions amount 9,36%, then there was a significant relationship between the powerful leg muscles and shot-put result, obtained r.count 0,816 > r.table 0,294 with contributions amount 66,59%, and there was also a significant relationship between the powerful arm and leg muscles and the O’Brien shot-put result second semester students at Sports Coaching Education Riau University, obtained r.count 0,819 > r.table 0,294 with contributions amount 67,07%.

Abstract

This research was qualitative research with descriptive method. Subject was student teachers who took Fundamental Science 1. Based on validity analysis of item on 1 % significance level, there were 16 valid items, 26 valid ietms for 5 % significance level, and 14 invalid items. Then, analysis of distinguishing items, the item number 20 was very worst, 15 items were poor, other 15 item were fair and the other items were good. Meanwhile, analysis of level of difficulty, 17 item were very easy, 9 items were easy, 11 items were moderate, an item was difficult, and the others were very difficult. Analysis for whole items, there were only 21 items that were ready to be used, 5 items were needed to be revised, and the others could not be used in a test.

Abstract

The result of fifth grade students’ learning sport from SDN 09 Rumbai Pekanbaru was still low because the method used did not suitable with learning materials. Because of that problem, researcher used direct instructional model in learning table tennis games that could improve the result of fifth grade students’ learning table tennis from SDN 09 Rumbai Pekanbaru. After applying direct instructional model, it could been seen from the teacher’s activity that increased in the first cycle from the first meeting (70%) to the second meeting (75%), and in the second cycle also increased from 85% in the third meeting to 95% in the fourth meeting The students’ activity also increased in the first cycle from 60% in the first meeting to 75% in the second meeting, and in the second cycle also increased from 90% in the third meeting to 95% in the fourth meeting. In the last exam in first cycle average of the students’ learning result increased 2.06 point from based score 69.87 to 72.93. In the last exam in second cycle increased 6.94 point from first cycle to 79.87. From the data analysis, the teacher’s activities, the students’ activities, and the result of students’ learning increased. So, it could be concluded that applying direct instructional model increased the result of fifth grade students’ learning sport from SDN 09 Rumbai Pekanbaru.

Abstract

The research is aimed to see and give the description whether the using of card as a learning media can increase the students` achievement in learning japanese language this research design uses action research that consists of two cycles. Every cycle consists of plan, action, observation, and reflection. The instrument used to know the students` activity during the teachung and learning process.This research consists of two cycles. Every cycle consits of four meetings. If there is a weakness in the first cycle, it result will be repaired in the second cycle. The result of the research is that 1, 56% students listens teacher`s explanation, 14, 06 % students take note from the tacher`s explanation, 44, 53 % students give opinion, 23, 44 % students ask questions, and 43, 34 % students answer the questions. By using card as media in learning process, it is hoped that the students will be motivated and interested in learning japanese language.

Abstract

Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to improve learning outcomes in grade VI SDN 22 Sungai Pakning. On the basis of the necessary application of the cooperative model STAD type to be able to assist students in improving their knowledge. Use of cooperative model STAD type of learning is expected to improve students' skills in science teaching in turn is expected to increase learning outcomes are achieved. After the action, then monitored, and the data collected, further processed and analyzed, the obtained result is the average percentage of mastery learning students ranging from pre cycle=41,00%, the first cycle=62,50%, and the second cycle=91,66%. Based on the above, it can be concluded that the cooperative model type STAD effect on improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the implementation of teaching materials based Social Science Education Local Wisdom in class IV SDN 04 Buantan Besar Kecamatan Siak, which uses qualitative and quantitative approach with quasi-experimental methods (quasiexperiment), and by using the research form one group pretest-posttest design comparing scores between pretest and posttest scores. This study was conducted with three stages, namely (1) the preliminary stage; (2) the implementation phase; and (3) the final stage. Data collection techniques used in the study are interview techniques and testing techniques. The results showed that (1) implementation of teaching materials based on local wisdom PIPS effect on comprehension and learning outcome fourth grade students of SDN 04 Buantan Besar Kecamatan Siak with the large influence of 29.16%; (2) The implementation of teaching materials based PIPS Local Wisdom assist students in understanding the potential and conditions surrounding area, this is evidenced by the increase students` understanding in study teaching materials of PIPS based on local wisdom, from the average pretest score of 30.22 into 55.43 on the average posttest scores with a mean score increase of 0.36 which is in the medium category.

Abstract

Research constitutes research by use of quantitative with arranges instrument to essay as collector of ability data reads comprehension. Total sample on observational 175 consisting of person three PGSD FKIP UR college student generation, one that is seen on ability reads generation grasp 2014 by average 67,66, generation 2013 by average ability read 64,39, and ability reads generation 2014 by average 72,69. Seen from tall category 2 person with percentage 1,14%, enough category by totals 124 by percentages 70,86%, and low category 49 person with percentage 28% afterses at accounts statistic's ala therefore available distinctive signifikan's ones ability reads PGSD FKIP UR college student grasp. Abstract

This research intend to know by its low grade in social studying student of class IIIB. Learning process is still dominated by teacher, while class discussion the student have been group not up on difference or student variety. Group discussion just have been done by seat. This research intend to know is it available see differences of the grade to social study student class III SD Negeri 115 Pekanbaru with learnings cooperative learning. cooperative's learning is activity series study that have been done by student in group to reaches to the effect learning already be formulated. This research is observational semi eksperiment (quation eksperiment).The subjek of this research is the student of class IIIB in SD Negeri 115 Pekanbaru that is from 2 classes, the total of class IIIB is 38 person and the total of class IIIC 37 person. the data analyzed tech that is used is t-test. the observational is have been done with three cycle, two times appointment work through material and once appointment pretest. Base of observational result have gotten pretest's studying result is found that among experiment class and control class average grade studying have no significan difference. Braze of experiment with control class to have t computing -2. 49dan t table 2,000. Based of the result to posttest's average value, known that student with cooperatives learning which is experiment class has average pretest 54,07 and posttest as big as 68,28 . Meanwhile control class has average pretest 62,70 and posttest as big as 64,05. Base of studying result rolled out point posttest experiment class and control class exist distinctive average, it can be concluded that exists distinctive result study among learned student by applying learning cooperative and learned student ordinary (conventional). So learning cooperative in social subject learning give impact to grade of study the better instead of social subject learning by use of conventional learning. This difference is based by afters marks sense difference among brazes experiment class and control class by use of t-quiz. The count of t acquired t computing 3.680 > t table 2,000, Its mean the difference is exist which signifikan in class IIIB social study of class eksperiment student as by brazes control.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis melalui pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) pada mahasiswa Program Studi PGSD semester V dalam mata kuliah Statistik Pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas dan kreativitas dosen serta mahasiswa mengalami peningkatan pada setiap siklus pembelajaran. Selain itu, hasil belajar mata kuliah Statistik Pendidikan pada mahasiswa semester V Tahun Akademik 2012/2013 juga mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan, ditandai dengan hampir 50% mahasiswa memperoleh nilai sangat memuaskan. Sebelum tindakan dilakukan, berdasarkan hasil tes awal masih terdapat 7 mahasiswa yang berada pada kategori nilai kurang. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) atau Pendidikan Matematika Realistik (PMR) pada mata kuliah Statistik Pendidikan efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis mahasiswa.
