Abstract

Informations on ratio of meat blue swimming crab weight have both economically and ecological meanings.  The aim of this research is to know actual ratio of the weight of meat where as catches on Selat Madura fishing ground.  Samples were taken from October 2012 ~ December 2013 and May 2014 ~ November 2014 by longline and trammelnet.  The result showed that having tree (3) modes of average ratio of meat  blue swimming crab weight which reached highest on May, October and December of year; whereas the percentage of actual the weight of meat ( ratio between average of the weight of meat and body weight) appeared on June and September of year. Abstract

This paper addresses engineering coastal problems in estuarine and coastal environments based on the results of field measurements. The field survey was conducted on the beach of District of Tegal, Middle East of Java. The practical solutions for these problem are: (1) try to understand the physical system based on available field data; perform new field measurements if the existing field data set is not sufficient; and (2) try to estimate the morphological effects of engineering works based on simple methods (rules of thumb, simplified models, analogy models, i.e. comparison with similar cases elsewhere). The result indicated that engineering coastal works should be designed and constructed along the coastline of District of Tegal, especially at two fisheries ports located at Surodadi village and Kramat village to support and to maintenance economy activity at both areas. Key Words : Coastal problems, Tegal District,

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dan dosis terbaik penggunaan tepung silase daun Mengkudu (M. citrifolia) dalam formula pakan terhadap pertumbuhan ikan Sidat (A. bicolor) stadia elver. Penelitian dibagi menjadi dua tahap, tahap pertama formulasi pakan percobaan, dan tahap kedua uji in vivo/uji formula pakan percobaan skala laboratorium pada ikan Sidat. Pelaksanaan penelitian tahap 1 adalah membuat formula pakan iso protein (40% ) dan iso energi (3.600 kkal/kg pakan) dengan memanfaatkan tepung silase daun Mengkudu sesuai perlakuan, menggunakan metode lembar kerja. Penelitian tahap 2 berdasarkan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan tiga ulangan. Empat perlakuan substitusi protein tepung silase daun Mengkudu terhadap protein tepung ikan yang berbeda, meliputi perlakuan A 0%(0:100); B 10%(10:90); C 20%(20:80) dan D 30%(30:70). Parameter utama adalah kelulushidupan (survival rate), laju pertumbuhan spesifik (specific growth rate), rasio konversi pakan (feed convertion ratio) dan rasio efisiensi protein (protein efficiency ratio). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan tepung silase daun Mengkudu dalam formula pakan berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter laju pertumbuhan spesifik, rasio konversi pakan dan rasio efisiensi protein. Dosis terbaik tepung silase daun Mengkudu  mensubstitusi protein tepung ikan dalam formula pakan sebesar 14,71 – 15% yang menghasilkan nilai laju pertumbuhan spesifik 0,72 %BB/hari, rasio konversi pakan 3,38, dan rasio efisiensi protein 0,718.Kata kunci: formula pakan, silase daun Morinda citrifolia, Anguilla bicolor

Abstract

Zooplankton dalam mata rantai antara produsen primer dengan karnivora besar dan kecil dapat mempengaruhi kompleksitas rantai makanan dalam ekosistem perairan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui dampak konsentrasi Fe dan Pb terhadap morfologi zooplankton  di Tambak Socah. Morfologi zooplankton diamati menggunakan mikroskop dengan metode sensus melalui 3 kali ulangan. Konsentrasi Fe dan Pb di ukur menggunakan spektrofotometer. Zooplankton yang terdapat di tambak socah adalah jenis Copepoda, Nitzchia dan Nauplius. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi Fe dan Pb berada pada kisaran yang normal sehingga tidak mempengaruhi morfologi plankton. Kata kunci: Fe, Pb, zooplankton

Abstract

Catfish are traded in the form of whole fish and fillet products. Catfish are still notwidely used or processed into value added products. The purposeof this study was to determine the effect off requency of washing and frozen storage of catfish surimi characteristics. The research was conducted with several stages, they were to determined the characteristics of raw materials and to made with indWerence of washing frequencies to determined the best surimi; second, this study also to determined the effect of storage duration on physical and chemical characteristics of catfish surimi. The best of catfish surimi production due with once washing. It was based on test of fold, teeth cutting and water content. Storage treatments and cryoprotectan additional give different results on the value of TVB, pH and water content catfish surimi. The value of TV13, pH dan water content also increased. Hidoniktest (folding and teeth cutting test) also shows the different results between different treatment of both storage and cryoprotect an addition. During storage, the folding and teeth cutting test remains in good value which indicates deterioration in the quality of catfish surimi occurred slowly.Keywords: catfish, surimi, TVB, fillet products

Abstract

MODELLING OF UTILIZATION CARRYING CAPACITY OF SAPUDI ISLAND USING  GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEMSumenep Regency has natural resources in the form of coral reefs and mangrove which are potential to be exploited. The number of islands with names in Sumenep regency as many as 106 islands. This study was aimed to mapping the land physical parameters used for modeling the carrying capacity utilization and assessment of Sapudi Island. The method used was the geographic information system modeling for ecotourism suitability model using index approach. Coral reefs in Sapudi Island was found about 1,544 ha. The condition of coral reefs in Sapudi Island taken using Underwater Photo Transect method was 25.9% live coral and dead coral was 71.55%. Water temperature conditions were between 30,1-30.5 0C, pH were 6.8-7.1, salinity were 25-30 0/00, dissolved oxygen were 4.6-6.6 mg/l and water clarity of 100%. Carrying capacity utilization of Sapudi Island for diving ecotourism was about 1,947 people/day, while for snorkeling ecotourism was 2,283 person/day.Keywords: carrying capacity, ecotourism, small island, Sapudi.ABSTRAKKabupaten Sumenep mempunyai sumberdaya alam terumbu karang dan mangrove yang sangat potensial untuk dimanfaatkan. Jumlah pulau yang mempunyai nama di Kabupaten Sumenep sebanyak 106 pulau. Penelitian bertujuan ini pemetaan parameter fisik lahan yang akan digunakan untuk pemodelan daya dukung pemanfaatan dan penilaian daya dukung pulau Sapudi. Metode yang dipergunakan adalah pemodelan Sistem Informasi geografis untuk kesesuaian ekowisata dengan pendekatan model indeks. Luas terumbu karang di Pulau Sapudi ditemukan mencapai 1.544 ha. Kondisi terumbu karang di Pulau Sapudi dengan metode Transek Foto Bawah air untuk karang hidup 25,9 %, karang mati 71,55 %.  Kondisi suhu air 30,1- 30,5 0C, pH 6,8-7,1, salinitas 25-30 0/00, Oksigen terlarut 4,6-6,6 mg/l dan kecerahan 100%. Daya dukung pemanfataan Pulau Sapudi untuk ekowisata selam 1.947 orang/hari, untuk ekowisata snorkeling 2.283 orang/hari.Kata kunci: daya dukung kawasan, ekowisata, pulau kecil, Sapudi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk membuat model algoritma yang tepat antara data konsentrasi klorofil-a in situ dengan nilai spektral spektroradiometer melalui analisis regresi – korelasi di Teluk Jakarta dan Kepulaun Seribu  Proses penyusunan algoritma dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis regresi linear antara nilai konsentrasi klorofil-a sebagai variabel tak bebas dengan kombinasi kanal dari spektroradiometer sebagai variabel bebas.  Selanjutnya dilakukan uji-F dan uji-t  terhadap algoritma yang dihasilkan.  Pengolahan data secara statistik menghasilkan kombinasi kanal terbaik untuk menduga sebaran konsentrasi klorofil-a di Teluk Jakarta dan Kepulauan Seribu adalah K1+LnK5+K9.  Model persamaan penduga konsentrasi klorofil-a yang diperoleh secara statistik dinilai sangat baik karena memiliki nilai koefisien korelasi r = 0.999 dan nilai kefisien determinasi R2 = 99.8%.  uji kehandalan model yang dilakukan membuktikan bahwa algoritma yang dihasilkan  dapat diterima, dan konsentrasi klorofil-a teoritis yang dihasilkan tidak berbeda nyata dengan konsentrasi klorofil-a pengamatan.  Dalam penelitian ini  penyusunan algoritma dilakukan untuk menduga sebaran horisontal dari nilai rata-rata konsentrasi klorofil-a yang ada pada kedalaman 1–3 meter. Kata kunci : Algoritma, klorofil-a, spektroradiometer

Abstract

Rumput laut secara tradisional telah lama dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan makanan, kosmetik dan obat-obatan, karena kaya akan mineral, elemen makro dan elemen  mikro lainnya, disamping itu rumput laut juga berfungsi sebagai bahan antimikroba seperti penyakit bakteri Aeromonas hydrophila yang sering menginfeksi ikan pada budidaya air tawar sehingga banyak merugikan petani. Oleh karena itu, maka perlu dilakukan penelitian tentang konsentrasi ekstrak metanol rumput laut yang efektif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui konsentrasi ekstrak metanol rumput laut Eucheuma spinosum yang tepat untuk menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Aeromonas hydrophyla. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen, Pertama menggunakan Uji MIC  konsentrasi sebagai berikut : 25%; 12,5%; 6,25%; 3,125%; 1,56%; 0,78%; 0,39%; 0,195%; 0,098%; 0,049%; 0,025%; dan 0,0125%. Kedua menggunakan Uji Cakram konsentrasi 3%, 6%, 9%, 12%, dan 0%  sebagai kontrol. Hasil uji MIC setelah dibandingkan dengan kontrol positif sangat rendah yaitu sebesar 0,049%, hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi tersebut menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Aeromnas hydrophila. Pada hasil uji cakram kemampuan ekstrak rumput laut pada konsentrasi 3%, 6% dan 9% dalam menghambat bakteri Aeromons hydrophila bersifat bakteriostatik, sedangkan pada konsentrasi 12% bersifat bakteriosidal.  Kata Kunci : Eucheuma spinosum, Polifenol, Aeromonas hydrophila

Abstract

Bandeng (Chanos chanos, Forskal) merupakan salah satu komoditas yang strategis untuk memenuhi kebutuhan protein yang relatif murah dan digemari oleh konsumen di Indonesia.  Bandeng sebagai bahan pangan, merupakan sumber zat gizi yang penting bagi proses kelangsungan hidup manusia Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui komposisi kimia daging ikan bandeng yang berasal dari habitat yang berbeda yaitu air tawar dan air payau. Penelitian dilakukan dengan dua tahap yaitu preparasi sampel saat transportasi dan preparasi bahan baku untuk memisahkan daging, kulit, tulang dan jeroan. Analisa yang dilakukan yaitu analisis proksimat, asam amino, asam lemak, mineral dan vitamin. Hasil yang didapatkan bahwa ikan bandeng dari dua habitat memperoleh rendemen yang berbeda. Rendemen ikan bandeng air tawar sebesar 38,5%, sedangkan air payau sebesar 50,8%. Ikan bandeng kaya akan sumber protein (20-24%), asam amino, asam lemak, mineral dan vitamin. Komposisi asam amino tertinggi yaitu glutamat sebesar 1,386% (air tawar) dan 1,268% (air payau). Asam lemak tidak jenuh tertinggi oleat 31-32%, mineral makro pada daging ikan bandeng yaitu: Ca, Mg, Na dan K. Mineral mikronya terdiri dari Fe, Zn, Cu, Mn. Kandungan vitamin daging ikan bandeng meliputi vitamin A, B1 dan B12.Kata Kunci: habitat berbeda, ikan bandeng (Chanos chanos, Forskal), kandungan giziTHE ANALYSIS OF NUTRITIONAL CONTENT OF MILKFISHES WHICH COME FROM DIFFERENT HABITATSABSTRACTMilkfish (Chanos chanos, Forskal) is one of the strategic commodities to fulfill protein need which is relatively cheap and favored by Indonesian consumer. Milkfish as a comestible is an important sources of nutrient for the survival of mankind. The objective of this research is to know the flesh’s chemical composition of the milkfishes come from different habitats which are freshwater and brackish water. The research was conducted through two stages, the stage of sample preparation for transportation, and the stage of raw material preparation like separating flesh, scale, bone, and offal. The analysis which was conducted was analysis of proximate, amino acids, fatty acids, minerals and vitamins. The finding showed that two milkfishes from two different habitats got different yields. The yield of freshwater milkfish was 38.5%, while the brackish water milkfish was 50.8%. Milkfishes are rich with protein source (20-24%), amino acid, fatty acid, mineral and vitamin.The highest composition of amino acid was glutamate by1.386% (freshwater milkfish) and 1.268% (brackish water milkfish). The highest unsaturated fatty acid was oleic by 31-32%, macro mineralson milkfish flesh which were: Ca, Mg, Na and K. The mineral micro consisted of Fe, Zn, Cu, Mn. Abstract

RESISTANCE COMPONENT ANALYSIS OF TRADITIONAL FISHING BOAT IN CILACAPMonohull fishing boats used to catch fish is modified into a catamaran boat. The purpose of this modification is to get more fish. Catamaran ship has a double hull, but with the double hull ships resulted in increasingly complex resistances. It is interesting to study in depth about the resistance components of Catamaran boat. Resistance Components not only consist of surge resistance, frictional resistance, and the form resistance but with the distance between demihull causing interference waves. There are many research results of Catamaran boat in that aspect, but the data and information obtained from the experiment is still inadequate. In addition, there is still lack of accuracy particularly in predicting interference resistance component in calm water (calm-water resistance) as a result of the distance between the demihull. This study aims to describe the resistance component at Catamaran boat by using slender body method. Keywords: catamaran, Cilacap, slender body method ABSTRAK Kapal ikan monohull yang biasa digunakan untuk mencari ikan dimodifikasi menjadi kapal catamaran. Tujuan modifikasi ini untuk mendapatkan muatan ikan yang lebih banyak. Kapal Catamaran mempunyai dua lambung, tetapi dengan adanya dua lambung mengakibatkan hambatan kapal semakin kompleks. Menarik untuk dikaji lebih lanjut tentang komponen hambatan kapal Catamaran. Komponen hambatan tidak hanya terdiri dari hambatan gelombang, hambatan gesek, dan hambatan bentuk namun dengan adanya jarak antar demihull sehingga menimbulkan interferensi gelombang. Sudah banyak dijumpai hasil riset kapal Catamaran pada aspek tersebut, tetapi data dan informasi yang diperoleh dari eksperimen masih kurang memadai. Disamping itu, masih ditemukan ketidak-akurasian khususnya dalam memprediksi interferensi komponen hambatan pada air tenang (calm-water resistance) akibat dari adanya jarak antar demihull tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan komponen hambatan pada kapal Catamaran dengan menggunakan slender body method.  Kata kunci: catamaran, Cilacap, slender body method
