Abstract

Absract The purpose of this research is to find the character education development model with the main element of planning the development of character development program, the character development program development, and the effectiveness of character education development program in three vocational high schools in Salatiga city. This research is a descriptive qualitafive research using multi case study with focus on case of character education development model that happened at SMK Al-Falah, SMK Diponegora and SMK Muhammadiyah which all three under Islamic Foundation foundation located in Salatiga City. The findings of this research indicate the similarity of the model that revolves around the model of habituation, culture, exemplary, local and extra-curricular content, although there are differences in aspects of habituation emphasis, namely the emphasis on spiriyual habits in SMK Al-Falah and Diopnegoro and emphasis on behavior in SMK MuhammadiyahTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menemukan model pengembangan pendidikan karakter dengan unsure pokok perencanaan penyusunan program pengembangan pendidiikan karakter, pelaksanaan program pengembangan pendidikan karakter, dan efektifitas program pengembangan pendidikan karakter  di tiga Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan di Kota Salatiga. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitafif deskriptif dengan menggunakan studi multi kasus dengan fokus pada kasus model pengembangan pendidikan karakter yang terjadi di SMK Al-Falah, SMK Diponegora dan SMK Muhammadiyah yang ketiganya di bawah naungan Yayasan Islam yang  berlokasi di Kota Salatiga. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan  bahwa ketiga SMK yang berada di bawah naungan Yayasan Islam di kota Salatiga memiliki empat  model yang khas dalam pengembangan pendidikan karakter  yaitu  model pembiasaan, pembudayaan, keteladanan, muatan lokal dan ekstra kurikuler. Kekhasan model pengembangan pendidikan karakter di tiga SMK ada pada spiritualitas-religiositas, di mana hal ini sangat bermanfaat dan efektif dalam pembentukan karakter siswa.

Abstract

The research has the effort to know a behavior of LGBT in Pesantren. The assumption until now, Pesantren was innocent and be the free zone of LGBT. This research is using qualitative and ethnomethodology’ approach. The location of research is in Pesantren Salafiyyah Kyai Kholil Bangkalan Madura, that old Pesantren Salafiyah in Madura. The other Pesantren is Pesantren Al-Hikam Bangkalan Madura that old Pesantren Khalafiyah in Madura. The results of research are; First, kinds of behavior that indicate LGBT in Pesantren are (1) kakak-adikan, kobel, mojok, kelon. The Second, the efforts from two pesantren are same handling based cognitive, spiritual and physical. The handling in Pesantren Salafiyyah Kyai Kholil Bangkalan, are three enhance; (1) period beginning of kesantrian (2) period of unification santri (3) period the end of kesantrian. The handling in Pondok Pesantren Al-Hikam with several methods; (1) assessment of kitab method (2) punishment method (3) counseling method (4) assessment and enlightenment method (5) supervision without served.

Abstract

Correction in writing process is beneficial to improve students’ writing quality. However, different kinds of correction may affect students’ writing quality differently. Furthermore, depending on their cognitive style, students may receive correction differently. This research aims at investigating the effect of peer correction on writing quality of college students’ having different cognitive styles. Two groups of students participated in this study. In the treatment, one group conducted peer correction, and the other group conducted self correction on their writings. To collect the data on students’ cognitive styles, Group Embedded Figure Test (GEFT) was used. To collect the data on students’ writing quality before and after the treatment, writing tests were used. To test the hypotheses, an analysis of covariate (ANCOVA) was used. The results shows that both types of corrections, peer and self corrections, and students’ cognitive styles, field dependent and field independent, significantly affects the students’ writing quality. However, it seems to be no significant interaction between types of corrections and students’ cognitive styles. The types of correction and cognitive styles do not affect students’ writing quality at the same time.

Abstract

The Objective of this Study is to a reflective evaluation of Indonesian national character in the education of Buddhism in elementary schools, which can produce a picture that poures national values character (nationalism) in the context of learning that is administered. The reflective evaluation is carried out with the CIPP evaluation model, which includes five constructs and five reflective Buddhism educational instruments wich consits of context dimensions, the teacher’s interest, the teaching materials, the learning process and the product. All instruments are valid and reliable. The result of the development of the reflective evaluation instrument of Buddhist education that has been built consists of five aspects / dimensions of evaluation with the name Context, Teachers’ Knowledge / Interest (Input), Materials (Input), Process and Product (Product). The content of the nation’s character in Buddhism is explicit in the components of History, Faith (Saddha), Behavior or Morality (Sila), Buddhist holly Books (Tipitaka), Meditation (Samadhi), and Wisdom (Panna), accumulated in context, input, process, and output, through the evaluation of the Buddha’s education refelective in the development of the nation’s character.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the contribution of work commitments and school climate on teacher’s job satisfaction. This research uses correlational methods that were analyzed with correlation and regression techniques. The result showed that work commitments was contribute significantly to job satisfaction of teachers. This means that the work commitments could be used as a predictor for the teacher’s job satisfaction. Then school climate contribute significantly to teacher’s job satisfaction also. This results means that the school climate can be used as a predictor for the teacher’s job satisfaction. Commitment to work and school climate were contribute significantly to teacher’s job satisfaction. Teacher’s job satisfaction is influenced by work commitments and school climate, either individually or jointly. Further, high commitment and also supported by a school climate create the conducive and improve the teacher’s job satisfaction. Commitment to work and school climate are two factors which are very important because it can affect the job satisfaction, but there are other factors that are believed to take effect on teacher’s job satisfaction.

Abstract

AbstractRelations between science and religion are issues that have been developing for a long time, especially in Indonesia. Science as a pillar of human civilization cannot be separated from the attention of religions in the world. In Indonesia, efforts to establish the color of religion in its main education about scientific integration have been a concern in several Islamic universities. The purpose of this study was to find out the concepts and strategies of science and religion relations in learning in madrasas. This research method uses descriptive methods. The researcher measured the relation between science and religion by adapting to the approach developed by Ian G. Barbour which was divided into four: conflict; independence; dialog; and integration. The researcher found that the MTsN Kota Salatiga in the concept component was at the level of integration, but the strategy component was still at the level of dialogue. Whereas in the MTs NU Kota Salatiga it is known that the concept components and strategies are still at the level of dialogue.AbstrakRelasi ilmu dan agama adalah isu yang sudah cukup lama berkembang, utamanya di Indonesia. Ilmu sebagai pilar peradaban manusia, tidak dapat lepas dari perhatian agama-agama di dunia. Di Indonesia, upaya tentang adanya warna agama dalam pendidikan utamanya tentang integrasi keilmuan telah menjadi perhatian di beberapa perguruan tinggi islam. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah, ingin mengetahui konsep dan strategi relasi sains dan agama dalam pembelajaran di madrasah. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif. Peneliti menakar relasi sains dan agama tersebut dengan mengadaptasi dari pendekatan yang dikembangkan oleh Ian G. Barbour yang terbagi atas empat: konflik; independensi; dialog; dan integrasi. Peneliti menemukan bahwa pada MTsN Kota Salatiga dalam komponen konsep sudah pada tataran integrasi, namun pada komponen strategi masih pada tataran dialog. Sedangkan pada MTs NU Kota Salatiga diketahui bahwa pada komponen konsep, dan strategi masih pada tataran dialog.

Abstract

Arabic course is a university course that must be followed by all students of UIN Sunan Gunung Djati. Based on the observation, learning Arabic in UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung reap the constraints and challenges in its implementation. To overcome this problem, the development of learning model can be considered as an alternative. This research uses research and development (R D) method. Located on UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung campus in Psychology course. Research subjects in this study were students and lecturers of Islamic Education Department Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. In the implementation, this learning model is quite effective in order to improve the performance of lecturers and student motivation in the process of learning Arabic and is known to be more effective when compared with the Arabic learning that has been going on.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) is not sufficient for cultivating anti-corruption character. As a result, future generations at risk of experiencing brain disorders which are considered normal but unhealthy. This study aims to integrate PAI and Anti-Corruption Education (PAK) with neuroscience approach in PAUD. This research used a qualitative approach in the form of field research in brain-friendly PAUD, i.e.1 Sleman Kindergarten Yogyakarta. Data collection technique was done by observation, interview, and documentation. Data analysis was done in descriptive, interpretative, and comparative. The research indicates that the application of PAK in I Sleman Kindergarten is by following findings National Learning Movement of I'm an Honest Kid (Gernas Manjur), while PAI is implemented thematically and scientifically, but it is not yet integrated. This research integrates PAK and PAI by extending the forms of corruption into Gernas Manjur and deepening the themes of PAI learning based on neuroscience learning theory.

Abstract

This article aims to analyses the leadership style of Muslim priest (kyai) in traditional Islamic boarding school (pesantren) seeing from Weber’s leadership theory in managing human resources, infrastructure, finance, and social capital in the pesantren for development. This research also intends to review the existence of selected traditional Islamic boarding school with the types of what Weber’s explain in his article. Using library study in a qualitative approach in nature on several sources, i.e., library books, documents and information on the internet. DDI Mangkoso in South Sulawesi province was selected due to its long history as Islamic institution and their renowned and charismatic and transformative kyai since their early years of establishment. The analysis in this research somehow managed to reveal that the three Weber’s patterns type is found in the leadership of kyai in several pesantrens around Indonesia including in DDI Mangkoso. Traditional leadership of DDI Mangkoso’s kyai is strongly influenced by the tradition of education in pesantren which respects kyai’s position as the leader and the founder of the pesantren. However, charismatic and transformative leadership through Anregurutta K.H. Abdul Rahman Ambo Dalle and KH Farid Wajedi were the two most influence styles among Kyai in DDI Mangkoso until now

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out: 1). the implementation of curriculum in nurturing Islamic Education in the House of Detention IIB Salatiga. 2). the management of Islamic Education in the House of Detention IIB Salatiga prison. This research is a qualitative research and is a field research using a case study approach. The objects of this research are the head of the House of Detention, the inmates of the House of Detention IIB Salatiga, the officers of the House of Detention IIB Salatiga, the relevant documents used in House of Detention IIB Salatiga. The data are collected based on: interviews, documentation and data triangulation. The results of this research demonstrate that: the implementation of curriculum in nurturing Islamic Education for inmates in the House of Detention IIB Salatiga are based on a specific curriculum used a guide for Islamic spiritual advisers in the house of detention. The curriculum has been implemented properly so that the prisoner’s mental revolution program can be achieved, though not all. Efforts to revolutionize the mentality and change the character of prisoners are conducted intensively and continously through lectures, discussions and counseling guidance and advice to the inmates. Coaching methods are carried out in two ways, namely inside and outside the room
