Abstract

ABTRACT This study aimed to determine the effect of kepayang seed and celery on the characteristics of microbiological, chemical, physical and beef fillet with a variety of shelf life. The material used in this study, namely beef, kepayang seed and celery. Method of research done at the Experimental experiment using completely randomized design (CRD), which consists of 4 treatments, Po: 0 hours, P1: 24 hours, P2: 36 hours, P3: 72 hours. With each treatment was repeated three times. he research variables including the Total Plate Count (TPC), protein testing, organoleptic. Analysis of data using a single anava if there is a difference then continued with Duncan test. Organoleptic analysis using the Kruskal Wallis test. The results showed that the preservation of the beef with the addition of celery seeds and with variation kepayang shelf life provides very significant influence (P˂0,01) against TPC and protein testing, with a low TPC values at 24 hours storage time is equal to 246.7 cfu / g and the value of the highest protein levels at 72 hours of storage that is equal to 16.83%. In the organoleptic tests give very significant influence (P 0.01). The results of research carried out can be concluded that in the long storage time of 24 hours of application kepayang and celery seed blend provides the best quality beef quality associated total microbial contamination. While the storage time of 72 hours gives the highest preference level panelist on the flavor of beef. Suggested for further research to test the fat content, pH, water and using other types of meat. Abstract

ABSTRACT The research was conducted on pig farm owned by Mr. Samsuri, Mulyo Village Court, District Dau - Malang starting from May 21 - 17 June 2015. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of watering frequency of the level of feed intake, feed conversion and weight gain. The materials used include Duroc pigs, cages, feed. 12 heads of pigs at the age of 12-16 weeks and the average weight 27.02 kg. Feed used is the rest of the food stalls. Tools used include: the scale, the hose for watering livestock, the feeding, the wheelbarrow, and room thermometer 1 piece. The research method uses four treatments and three replications. Each treatment consists of three pigs. P0 treatment without watering, watering twice P1, P2 watering three times, and four times P3 watering. Feed given a limited basis. The data obtained in the study were analyzed using analysis of variance RAL, if there is the influence followed by LSD test. Based on the results kosumsi highest feed on P3 (1782.14 g), and the lowest P0 (1340.47 grams). The highest body weight gain contained in P3 (332 grams), and the lowest in P1 (225.66 grams). Feed conversion is highest in P1 (6.86), and the lowest P3 (5.36). Based on the results of the study concluded that the frequency of watering Duroc pigs are very significant (P 0.05). Advice can be given regarding the outcome of this study is the frequency of watering can be done as often as possible to increase consumption. Keywords: Duroc pigs, consumption, conversion

Abstract

Abstract

Sektor usaha ternak kelinci masih belum berkembang dengan pesat, namun permintaan untuk konsumsi daging kelinci cukup tinggi, sehingga perlu diadakan pemberdayaan peternakan kelinci. Tingginya akan permintaan konsumtif daging kelinci dapat dimanfaatkan untuk membuka usaha dalam bidang ini. Karena masih kurangnya peternakan kelinci, namun tingginya akan permintaan konsumsi daging kelinci ini sehingga kita dapat memanfaatkan untuk membuka usaha dalam bidang ini. Usaha pengembangan ternak kelinci perlu didukung dengan ketersediaan pakan yang sampai saat ini masih merupakan kendala utama dalam industri ternak. Kombinasi antara modal kecil, jenis pakan yang mudah dan perkembangbiakannya yang cepat, menjadikan budidaya kelinci masih sangat relevan dan cocok sebagai alternatif usaha bagi petani miskin yang tidak memiliki lahan luas dan tidak mampu memelihara ternak besar. Agar kelinci dapat berproduksi tinggi, maka perlu dipelihara secara intensif dengan pemberian pakan yang memenuhi syarat. Daun kol cukup berpotensi digunakan sebagai pakan ternak seperti kelinci, karena komposisi gizi yang dikandung daun kol cukup dapat memenuhi kebutuhan nutrisi bagi kelinci. Kecukupan nilai gizi daun kol dan ketersediaan dalam jumlah yang besar serta tidak memerlukan biaya tambahan untuk membeli (limbah) memberikan peluang yang baik bagi usaha ternak seperti kelinci.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan daun kol dalam ransum terhadap konsumsi pakan dan pertambahan bobot badan kelinci. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian eksperimen dan rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) tunggal. Pengelompokan ternak dilakukan secara acak berdasarkan bobot badan. Percobaan terdiri tiga (3) perlakuan (R) yang diulang sebanyak tiga (3) kali. Variabel yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah : Konsumsi pakan (gram/ekor/trari), Pertambahan Bobot Badan (PBB) (gram/ekor/hari).Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pada perlakuan R1, R2, dan R3 rata-rata konsumsi pakan masing-masing adalah 255,57; 288,32; 408,20; dan 336,44 gram/ekor/hari. Sedangkan Pertambahan Berat Badan (PBB) harian adalah 9,28; 13,75; dan 20,00 gram/ekor/hari. Sehingga R3 dapat dikatakan sebagai perlakuan terbaik.Hasil penelitian memberikan kesimpulan bahwa penambahan daun kol dalam ransum berpengaruh signifikan terhadap konsumsi pakan dan pertambahan bobot badan kelinci. Pemeliharaan pada perlakuan tiga (R3) menghasilkan pertambahan bobot badan (20,00 gram/ekor/hari) yang lebih optimal daipada perlakuan lainnya.Kata Kunci : Kol, Konsumsi, Pertambahan Berat Badan

Abstract

The research was conducted at Desa Suru Kecamatan Doko Kabupaten Blitar on January 26, 2012 until February 26, 2012. The research was to determine the quality of spermatozoaofHybrid Ettawa Goat sperm with the effect of protected palm and fish oil in concentrate on the quality of Hybrid Ettawa Goat sperm. The subjects were five Hybrid Ettawa Goats that were distributed randomly to five trial groups.The research method was completely randomized design (CRD) with three trials and each trial was repeated three times. The experiment used palm and fish oil. Protected palm and fish oil were given 4% of weight. Analyzed variable in this research was the evaluationof macroscopic and microscopes of sperm quality. The data obtained were investigated by random investigation. The result of the research showed that there was no significant or real effect (P>0.05) of protected palm and fish oil supplementation in concentrate on Hybrid Ettawa goats and no significant or real interaction (P>0.05) on motility, viability, and abnormalities of Hybrid Ettawa Goats. The conclusion of the research was that the protected palm and fish oil supplementation in concentrate did not influence on Hybrid Ettawa Goats sperm quality. Keyword  : concentrare, sperm quality,fish oil, palm oil, supplementation.

Abstract

This research purpose is to find out the effectiveness of adding the nutshell of greenpall on the woof of ettawa goat to increase the productivity. This research has done at Kepuh Gang X, Kelurahan Bandungrejosari Kecamatan sukun Kabupaten Malang on january to february 2012. The sample of this research is eight ettawa goats. The age of the subjects are eight months with 11-15 kg of weight. The cattles (ettawa goats) live in the corral experiment which completed with the woof place and drinking place too. The nutshell of greenpall is took from Gadang traditional market, Kabupaten Malang. The variable that observed is the woof consumption and the increasing weight of ettawa goat.The result of this research shows that the woof consumption for ettawa goat which added with nutshell of greenpall will have 469,89 g /tail/day, but the woof without adding the nutshell of greenpall with the resullt is 21,43 g /tail/day. And the other advatages to increase the weight of ettawa goat which add the nutshell of greenpall on the woof will have 92,86 g of weight/tail/day, but if there is no adding the nutshell of greenpall will have 21,43g of weight/tail/day. So,  it is necessary to add the nutshell of greenpall on the woof to get the good result of ettawa goat.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to analyse of the parts beef carcass on the pH and sensoryproperties of meatball. This research was conducted on January 1st unti February 1st 2013 in animal husbandry faculty of  Kanjuruhan University laboratory. The method used is the experiments with Completely Randomized Design ( CRD ) with three treatment of the parts beef carcass, that is the Chuck ( P ) Shank ( S ),  and the mixture of chunk and shank. The result showed that parts of the beef carcass were no significant affected ( P > 0.05 ) on pH. The result of  this research showing that  pH prouction are the same that is 5.5 at all treatment, while normal pH at fresh beef is 7.0. No significant diffrence  ( P > 0.05 ) were observed among visual flavour and aroma. But significant affected ( P< 0.01 ) to colour and texture on sensory analysis.Keywords: : Meatball, Meat, and Parts of Beef Carcass

Abstract

Result of research of indicated that addition of red ginger flour as additive feed into broiler feed didn,t give influence  to carcass weight, abdominal fat weight,  visceral weight ( liver, and intestine of gizzard). Research having taken steps, result of research of  amount  highest carcass weight there are at treatment of  1.48 kg and hereinafter partake - partaking is  1.35 kg ,  1.20 kg, 1.18 kg  and 1.03 kg At abdominal fat of highest weight is  25 g, and hereinafter partake - partaking is 122.5 g,  20 g , 17.5 g  and  15 gr , result of obtained analysis during research to heavy hearted is  82.5 g and low is 55.0 g, at highest intestine weight there are at 122.5 g and low there are at  97.5 g while weight of gizzard highest is  60 g  and hereinafter partake - partaking is  52.5 g,  50 g,  50 g and  42.5 g. Concluded of that this usage research of red ginger flour as additive feed into broiler feed give influence which do not differ reality to carcass weight, abdominal fat weight, viceral weight roan ( liver, and intestine of gizzard). Abstract

One aspect that has begun to replace antibiotic feed additives are studied as bioactive plant feed. Ginger, Turmeric and Galangal is a plant that is widely used in human life and are known to have a powerful substance that can also inhibit the growth of bacteria and fungi. Therefore, the use of ginger, turmeric and galangal in place antibiotic feed additives in poultry feed rations. Extracts of ginger, turmeric and galangal then mixed into a beverage with various doses of broiler chickens. Each dose level of 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%. Drinking water without the extract is also prepared for comparison. Extracts of ginger, turmeric and galangal given to broiler chickens aged 8 to 35 days, with 5 treatments and 4 replicates of each cage comprises 5 broiler chickens. The results showed that extracts of ginger, turmeric and galangal no significant effect (P<0.05) for mortality and carcass weights of abdominal fat weight while providing a significant effect (P>0.05).Keywords       :           Ginger, turmeric, galangal, Feed Additives, mortality rate, Carcass Weight, Weight and Abdominal Fat Broiler (Gallus domesticus)

Abstract

This research was conducted at the Laboratory Balai Besar Inseminasi Buatan (BBIB) Singosari Malang on 24 September until 31 October 2013. This research was to determine effect of D-fructose and eggs yolk to sperm quality of Peranakan Etawa (PE) goat in the sexing process use centrifugation gradient density percoll method on before freezing with 2250 rpm speed. The method used experiental laboratory the method of experiment by Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The material used in this research is a fresh semen Peranakan Etawa (PE) goat. Based onthe results of this research indicate that there are significant X sperm motility were significantly (P<0.05) with 2.25% D-fructose and 22.5% egg yolk and Y sperm motility also a significant effect (P<0, 01) with 1.75% D-fructose and 17.5% egg yolk having the best quality. From this study it can be concluded that the influence is evident in the use of D-fructose and eggs yolk to sperm quality of Peranakan Etawa (PE) goat in the sexing process use centrifugation gradient density percoll method on before freezing with 2250 rpm speed.Keyword : D-fructose, eggs yolk, sexing process, before freezing, Peranakan Etawa goat.
