Abstract

Waste from leather tanning process represents one the pollutants coming from va-rious existing industries. One of the dangerous compounds that contains in the liquid waste of leather tanning is chromium (III). In this study, the chromium (III) recovery from leather tanning liquid uses precipitation method.In general, the recovery of chromium (III) procedure starts with measurement of ini-tial pH, filtration of liquid waste and precipitation of chromium (III) using NaOH. The ad-dition of NaOH was also intended to increase the pH of the liquid waste. The liquid waste solution was then aged for several hours at various pH to obtain optimum conditions of precipitation. The obtained precipitation was filtered using various paper filters and finally dissolved again in sulfuric acid until the pH of the solution reached 2,0 – 2,8. The so-lution was analyzed for its chromium (III) content to determine the effectiveness of the recovery. Results of the study showed that Whatman 40 paper filter is more appropriate fil-ter for separating chromium (III) precipitate. The precipitation of chromium (III) proceeded effectively in the solution pH of 8, while the effective time of aging was found to be 24 ho-urs. Resolution of the chromium (III) precipitation using sulfuric acid reached its maximum level when sulfuric acid of 2,5 M was used. This study proved that liquid waste of chro-mium (III) from leather tanning may be reused as additive materials in the leather tanning processes after being recovered from the liquid waste using precipitation method.

Abstract

Collaboration of cellular CDMA with mobile learning (M-Learning) is the best choise. Because m_learning needed a big capacity (large video) in managing of multimedia matery. Designing did build a server and client system with combination of HTML script as web server apllications and web client and WML script as WAP site aplication. Afficasious from this research is the power control thecnical that has not maximal in the spread of power to mobile station at the some periode.

Abstract

The singular system LTI is called linear singular system time invariant which its not be influence of the time changes. It is assumed to be the system is regular and rank E< n, so can be transform to form the standard decomposition. Furthermore, we discuss characterization the singular state observer and there is determine the necessary and sufficient condition for the state observer singular of system. Suppose that first sub systems in the decomposition standard system is observable. Then singular system LTI has a singular state observer. Singular system has a singular state observer if and only if it is detectable.

Abstract

The choice of prediction in time series sequence, which produced valid and acurate prediction value is the main problem in prediction method. The study of data used by researcher was taken form website of Jakarta Stock Exchange (JSX) on menu of trade data addressed at http://www.jsx.co.id. Significant indikator in Stock Exchange Movement were IHSG and Trade Volume. Index functioned as market trend indicator, so from the index number, we know trend of stock volume movement today and extrapolate in the future. The aions of this research were to predict data pattern of IHSG and trade volume by using smoothing model approach since the best estimstion choice just compared some values of MSE, MAD, MSD and value. The result of analys shows that smooth mode of linear trend is very suitable for both datum. They are for IHSG and for Trade Volume. And then Box-Jenkins mode can be formed for IHSG data is ARIMA(1,0,0) and ARIMA(1,0,1) where as for Trade Volume data is ARIMA(0,0,1), ARIMA(1,0,0) and ARIMA(1,0,1).

Abstract

In the very fast development of technology and information, the need of information for supporting information service which is needed by all private or government institutions. The providing needs can be supported by a multimedia that shows or present information. At “PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk”, when the more of needs of information and the more telecommunication service user is, so an information presentation based on multimedia is necessary to be made that can be applied to work station. It is an alternative for helping customer and visitor on getting information without queueing at customer service counter.This research produce information system in an interactive user interface presentation and easy to be used by customer and visitor. System that is produced is able to work globally and intranetly, both are client-side.

Abstract

The problem that occurs in the cleaning service staff at PT KAI is that besides cleaning the station area, they also have to do other work, such as cleaning trains, filling water in train toilets which should have its own officers. There are still many train passengers who dispose of their waste improperly, thereby increasing the workload of cleaning service officers. Another problem is the lack of division of tasks in each element of work. The number of officers in each shift is also not the same, a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 8 people. The number of officers on the morning and evening shifts is 6 to 8 people, while the night shift is 2 to 3 people. The cleaning service staff works for 8 hours per shift with no break time, resulting in complaints of fatigue of the cleaning service staff. This study aims to analyze the physical and mental workload on the cleaning service staff at PT. KAI Daop VI Yogyakarta using work sampling and NASA-TLX methods. Based on the results of this study it was known that the physical workload of staff on the morning shift was 88.6% (=7.1 hours) and on shift 1 it was 93% (=7.4 hours) for 8 productive working hours. The mental workload of staff on shift 1 was 73.3% and 75.0% on shift 2. This indicated that the cleaning service staff workload was classified as heavy and there was a need to improve the work system. This condition indicates that the cleaning service staff workload is heavy and needs to improve the work system.

Abstract

Yogyakarta is a famous tourist destination city. One of the main destinations of tourists is cultural tourism, such as the palace, sites of cultural heritage, tourist villages and historic relics. One of the historical heritages that should be preserved is the Kampung Prajurit (Warrior Village). There are ten Kampung Prajurit in the Yogyakarta palace, namely Langenastran and Langenarjan, which are inside the castle of the palace, Wirobrajan, Resilience, Bugisan, Patangpuluhan, Suronggaman, Dhaengan, Jagakaryan, Mantrijeron, Prawirotaman, Jageran, Surokarsan and Nyutran who each have their own characteristics and characteristics. each other's uniqueness. Kampung Prajurit are cultural tourism assets that have not been seriously worked on, especially in terms of promotion through information technology and telecommunications. Considering the current use of mobile devices has become so widespread, the use of this media as a means of promoting the Kampung Prajurit is very urgent. Mobile-based applications can be downloaded and used easily through smartphone devices so the use of this facility to introduce Kampung Prajurit as a cultural tourism destination is very much needed. The method that will be used in this study is a qualitative method, including methods of collecting data with literature study and field observations. While the application development is done by prototyping method and application design is carried out based on the Object Oriented Analysis System with UML. While the application development uses the PHP 5.7 programming language and Android Studio 3.2.1.0 using the MySQL Admin. The result of the research is a mobile-based application prototype that will be able to display all information related to history, fashion, bregada and reality videos about activities in the warrior's village. With this application, it is expected that the Kampung Prajurit will be more widely known by the public so that tourist visits to the warrior villages will increase.

Abstract

Storage box has an important function which is often used to store valuables. In general, the locking system in a storage box is still conventional or manual, making it less practical. In addition, the level of security of the storage box must also be good. As a solution to both of the above, then it is necessary to design an electronic lock system in the storage box by using Electronic Identity Card (E-KTP) as the key access. In the E-KTP embedded chip that contains data that is different from one another. So, with these differences E-KTP can be used as a key. This electronic key system utilizes Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology, E-KTP as RFID tags, and Arduino Nano microcontroller. The UID (unique identity) data on the E-KTP will be read by the MFRC522 RFID reader. The data is then used as identification of certain E-KTPs that can be used to access electronic keys (in the form of DC solenoids) in the storage box. The results of the system control and output are in accordance with the plan. The E-KTP registered in the system can be used to access the storage box key. The voltage on the power supply and the Arduino Nano is in accordance with the requirements and in the test, the voltage error is not more than 10%, the MFRC522 RFID Reader is able to read the UID E-KTP data with reading distance 0 mm - 2 mm.

Abstract

The heart is a human organ that has a vital function. Small flaws in the heart organ can have a big effect on our body. In general, our heart beats around 60-100 times in one minute. If you exceed 100 times and less than 60 times every minute means your heart is experiencing an abnormal beat. Because some patients who suffer from heart need the automation of early detection. The development of electronic technology makes it possible for heart examinations to be carried out by the patient himself. This research aims to design and build a device to monitor heart rate using a microcontroller. Noise suppression on the ECG signal, heart rate data that has been detected and processed will be compared with normal and abnormal values ​​of the heartbeat. Furthermore, the microcontroller will determine how the heart condition is detected. From the results of the study the heart rate monitoring system using a microcontroller input voltage of 3.7 V DC was changed by the step up module to 5 V DC with a magnitude of error percentage of 0.863% and a charger module used to charge batteries with 4.2 V DC voltage and the magnitude of the error percentage amounted to 0.119%. The amped pulse sensor has an output voltage value of 2.4 V when it is relaxed and 2.6 V when it is beat, and this sensor has a constant and significant output voltage value in accordance with the rhythm of the heartbeat. The heart rate monitoring tool that is made can measure accurately and precisely, because it has a fairly small average error value of 1,727%.

Abstract

Indonesian corn production data in 2018 reached 30 million tons, and generally, corncobs have not been utilized. This research is processing corncobs into bioethanol as an effort to exploit the potential of abundant corncobs. The process is carried out in 3 stages, namely hydrolysis with acid (H2SO4 0.5N), fermentation with bread yeast (fermipan), and distillation at 1000C. The study conducted in a three-neck flask equipped with heating, stirring, and turning cooling. The research material used was 40 grams of corncobs powder, H2SO4 0.5N as much as 300 ml, yeast 3 grams, and urea 0.1 gram. The hydrolysis process was carried out using 40gr of corncobs powder, and 0.5N H2SO4 with a volume of 300 ml. Stirring is carried out at 140 rpm rotation with varying time and temperature. Next, the fermentation process is carried out by adding as much as 3 grams of yeast and 0.1 grams of urea. The fermentation process takes 3 days. The distillation process is carried out at a temperature of 1000C with a long time for 2-3 hours. Based on our research, it knows that the time and temperature of hydrolysis affect the ethanol content produced. Optimal addition of yeast at 0.4271% ethanol content is weighing 3 grams. The optimal fermentation time for ethanol content 0.66447% is at the time of fermentation of 3 days.
