Abstract

Consumers’ intention to purchase is an important factor for the company sustainability. Therefore, each company must pay attention to the factors affecting the consumers’ intention to purchase. This factor can be gained when the consumers are aware, knowing the brand has a good image. This study tries to fi nd out how brand awareness, brand image, and word of mouth affect the customers’ intention to purchase of Nintendo Switch in Surabaya. This study used a quantitative method. The data were collected using questionnaires and 82 respondents was obtained and these data were analyzed using multiple regression. The results showed that brand image and word of mouth signifi cantly affect customers’ intention to purchase while brand awareness dose not for the customers of Nintendo Switch in Surabaya. It implies that the company should pay attention to brand image and word of mouth in order to enhance consumers’ intention to purchase.

Abstract

This research analyzes the causal variables that influence the variables of service quality to satisfaction and repeat purchase intention at Matahari Department Store. The analyzed vari- able are user service quality (physical aspects, reliability, personal interaction, problem solving and policy), satisfaction and repeat purchase intention. The purpose this study is to identify grey consumers perceived service quality at Matahari department Store in Sidoarjo city and to examine the relationship among perceived service qualities, their satisfaction, and repeat purchase intention to that store. A structured questionnaire was developed to collect the data. Designs for sample in this study is non-probability sampling, with the techniques of analysis such as descriptive analysis and statistic analysis. A model confirmatory analysis factor (CFA) and structural equation modeling (SEM) built by using AMOS 16.0 for windows program. The result showed that all service quality dimensions in the study, except policy, were significantly and positively to have relationship with their satisfaction and repeat pur- chase intention at Matahari Department Store, Sidoarjo Finally, for the further studies that test the same model and with the same research design, the authors suggest that the number of sample is by taking bigger and broader area for collecting data.

Abstract

SMEs contribute greatly to economic growth in Indonesia, SMEs are able to produce GDP up to 59.08% (Bank Indonesia dan LPPI, 2015). The purpose of this study to determine the effect of financial literacy of SME managers, financial capital of SME and government policies on SME’s business performance. Total samples in this study are 177 SMEs. The sample data of this study are primary data in the metropolitan cluster in East Java which includes Surabaya, Gresik, Sidoarjo and Mojokerto. The results of this study indicate that the ability of SMEs managers about debt literacy has significantly and negative effect to business performance, the ability of SMEs managers about book keeping literacy and budgeting literacy have significantly and positive effect to business perfomance. Financial capital has significantly and positive effect to business performance and government policy in SMEs metropolitan cluster has no affect on the SMEs business performance.

Abstract

In the global era, the banks created a system of e-banking that is a form of service providedby them for providing customers ease in conducting transactions anytime and anywhere viaonline. However, with e-banking, it is still perceived by customer complaints, such as securityproblems. In addition, the use of e-banking cannot be used by all customers because ofcertain constraints. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of a positive significantrelationship between service qualities on customer loyalty Bank user satisfaction of ebankingin Surabaya. This research method uses questionnaire for collecting the data. Theresearch was conducted in Surabaya, while the analysis was done by using Structural EquationModeling (SEM) with the number of respondents of 115. The results show that the effectof service quality on customer satisfaction and the effect of customer satisfaction on customerloyalty have no significant and positive effect. Abstract

The competition in Indonesia cosmetics industry is growing rapidly. Many brands of face powder available in the market have been popular and got a good qualityr. Wardah is one of halal cosmetics manufactured in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the effect of brand trust, brand image, and Celebrity Endorsement on brand loyalty of Wardah face powder in Surabaya. Data collected with questionnaire which given to 97 respondents from community of Surabaya. The sample was selected by judgement sampling. The data were alanized by using MRA (Multiple Regression Analysis). The results found that brand trust has significant effect on brand loyalty. Brand image has no significant effect on brand loyalty and Celebrity Endorsement has no significant effect on brand loyalty. The results show that brand trust, brand image and Celebrity Endorsement effect signifi-cantly on brand loyalty. The implication is to improve the brand trust by holding event beauty class for consumert to get more trust in the facial powderof Wardah, and to in-crease the service for the consumers and adjust the price for them.

Abstract

Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) is one of the successful companies in Indonesia. It can be proved by the data in top brand index from marketing magazine that put KFC in the first position. KFC succeeded in becoming the first position due to its ability to make customers more loyal forever. Some of the factors that make KFC selected by the subscribers, among others, is that KFC managed to be complied with the customers expectation. This is the factor to make its customers satisfied. It has been noted in the research that customer loyalty is the product ultimate purpose or service provider. The purpose of this research was to find out the influence of the customer expectation, customer satisfaction towards the customer complaints, and customer loyalty. The design of this study is by means of convenience sampling. The data were collected using questionnaire. The method analysis used in this research is Maximum Likely hood test using the program AMOS version 18.0. The results showed that the two hypotheses were accepted. Firstly, the customer expectation has a significant impact on the customer satisfaction and the second is that the customer satisfaction has a significant influence on customer loyalty.

Abstract

Holding periods is the period of time during which one owns a security. In addition, holding period is influenced by transaction cost, market value, and risk. The objective of this research is to analyze the effect of bid-ask spread, market value, and variance return on holding period. The analysis of the data was done by multiple regression analysis. Using the data from 34 companies in LQ-45 index period 2010-2011, the results show that market value has positive effect and variance return has negative effect on holding periods. Theresults also show that Bid-Ask spread has no significant effect on holding periods. Investors will hold long position on securities that having higher market value and short position on securities that having higher risk.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the influence of financial literacy, personal values, and attitudes of family financial planning in Surabaya. Total of respondents from this research are 115 respondents with the criteria as a manager of family finances, and have a family income at least Rp. 4.000.000 / month, and domiciled in Surabaya city. The analysis technicall used in this research is multiple linear regression analysis. The results explain that financial literacy, personal values, and attitudes have a significant positive effect on family financial planning in Surabaya

Abstract

This study aims to find the relationship that exists between gender and personality as well asthe supervisor leadership styles in PT Multi Citra Abadi Manado. The study is a quantitativeresearch and uses questionnaire as data collection instrument. The population consists of 700employees who work at PT Multi Citra Abadi Manado and the sample was 56 supervisors ofPT Multi Citra Abadi Manado. The study used descriptive and statistical analysis. Descriptiveanalysis was done by using cross tabulation while the statistical analysis by using correlationanalysis. Hypothesis test was done by using chi-square test and regression analysis. The resultshows that there is a relationship between gender and personality, and it is also indicated thatthere is a relationship between gender and leadership style. The study shows the relationshipbetween supervisor personality and leadership style in PT Multi Citra Abadi Manado. Basedon the research, being open is considered a value of personality that should be increased forcustomers in global era.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mendiskusikan tentang proses pembuatan dan pengoptimalan model data yang digunakan untuk memprediksi kemungkinan keluarnya nasabah dari suatu layanan perbankan berdasarkan beberapa variabel independen yang disediakan oleh pihak perbankan. Penelitian ini menggunakan Regresi Logistik sebagai metode utama untuk menghasilkan model hubungan antar data yang menggambarkan klasifikasi umum nasabah yang akan keluar dari layanan perbankan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Backward Elimination dan penerapan domain knowledge untuk mengoptimasi kinerja dari model yang dihasilkan. Model terakhir yang dihasilkan akan dinilai kembali dengan metode Cumulative Accuracy Profile. Hasil dari penelitian ini memiliki tingkat akurasi yang baik dalam memprediksi kemungkinan keluarnya nasabah dari layanan perbankan. Model dapat memprediksi 60% orang yang akan keluar dari bank dengan memeriksa 29% dari keseluruhan data. Hasil keluaran penelitian ini dapat dikaitkan dengan tingkat efisiensi usaha yang dapat dilakukan oleh pihak perbankan dalam mengambil tindakan pada nasabah dengan tingkat probabilitas tertinggi untuk keluar dari layanan perbankan.
