Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of activestudent learning strategies to the students learning achievements on thelines and angles material. The population this study is all of the seventhgrade students of SMP IT Al-Munir Sukoharjo Pringsewu in theacademic year 2014-2015 that consist of 24 students. This study 5students as a respondents and 19 students as a sample. The datacollecting technique used was test and test description consists of 3items. Furthermore, the data has been analyzed using descriptive t test.The results of analysis data, that there are differences between theresults of students mathematics learning after a given learning by usinglearning strategies students active with the chief engineer, and theaverage results of students mathematics learning after being given anactive student learning strategies more than Minimum CompletenessCriteria at 65 so it can be concluded that active student learningstrategies is an effective learning of the results of students mathematicslearning.Keywords: effectiveness of active student learning strategies,students learning achievements

Abstract

The students’ math achievement in the second grade of the SMP Negeri 3Pringsewu is not effective, even though, in learning process, the teacherhas involved the students actively and give broad chance to students togain more knowledge. From those condition, alternative learning isneeded by using the open ended learning model with the power pointpresentation. This research used descriptive research. Researcher usedobservation sheet they were teacher’s ability sheet, activity’s studentsheet, respond’s student sheet, then to get students’ learning achievementwere used essay. Based on the data analysis of open ended learningprocess with power point presentation toward the subject of circle,square, and rectangle. It can be concluded that the result was effective. Itcan be seen in the teacher’s ability was 83%, students’ activity was77,4%, students’ response was 84,2% and the number of the studentsachieves the effective learning about 79,48%.Keywods: open ended learning model, effectiveness in learning

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out the effectiveness of cooperative learning modelNumbered Heads Together (NHT) type observed by activity and math learning result.This research is experimental research using Posttest-Only Control Design. Thepopulations was all of the students in first grade of the SMA Tri Sukses Natar. Thesamples of the research were taken by using the cluster random technique. Dataobtained based on the observation of the learning process and student achievement test.Each of these data are used to obatain students’ learning activities and results ofstudents’ mathematics learning. The data analysis technique is done by usingproportion test. Based on the results of data analysis showed that the percentage ofstudents activity more than 70% and the perecentage of students’ mathematics learningoutcomes gained more than 65%. Therefore, the NHT learning model is said to beeffectively applied in the first grade of the SMA Tri Sukses Natar.Keywords: cooperative learning model NHT; learning activities; learning outcomes

Abstract

This study aims to determine the difference in average math student learning outcomes obtained using systematic problem solving learning strategies with average math student learning outcomes obtained using expository teaching strategy. The population in this study is the first semester of class X  SMK Islam Adiluwih 2015-2016 school year, amounting to 137 people and is divided into five classes. The results of the data analysis test two parties at significant level 5% results obtained thitung = 3.66 and ttable = 1.99, which means there are differences in the average math student learning outcomes obtained using systematic learning strategy problem expository solving strategies. Then the t-test data analysis of the parties with a significant level of 5% obtained thitung = 3.66 and ttable = 1.67, which means the average student learning outcomes obtained using systematic problem solving learning strategy is better than expository teaching strategy.

Abstract

The research is aims to determine the effect of feedback on students’ mistake in completing the algebra arithmetic operation. The effect can be seen by the average difference in students’ mistake in completing the algebra arithmetic operation between the given feedback and are not given feedback. The population was all of the second grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Adiluwih in the academic year 2015- 2016. The samples of the research were taken by using the cluster random sampling technique. The research instrument used was a test in the form of description consists of four items. Data acquisition is done by testing with data analysis techniques using U-test (Mann-Whitney U test) because the data is not normally distributed. The result of the research can be concluded that the provision of feedback can influence the students mistakes in completing the algebra arithmetic operation. The effect can be seen by the average difference in students mistakes in completing the algebra arithmetic operation between classes given feedback and classes are not given feedback. Abstract

The low yield of mathematics learning in SMP Negeri 1 Adiluwih due to the liveliness and motivation of students in participating in learning is still not visible .. Low and high mathematics learning outcomes are also influenced by several factors, including the students learning style. One effort that can be done to overcome these problems is to use cooperative learning model snowball throwing.The purpose of this study was to determine the results of students mathematics learning through cooperative learning model snowball throwing in terms of students learning styles.The population of this research is all class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Adiluwih totaling 285 students, divided into 9 classes. The sample was 70 students consisting of 35 students to a class of 35 students for the experimental and control classes were obtained bytechnique. cluster random samplingThe instrument used was a questionnaire and student mathematics achievement test. Data analysis techniques used in this study is a party t-test and t-test two parties.Based on t-test calculation of the two parties to the students learning style extrovert, shows thitung = 3.07 and ttable = 2.021 at significance level of 5% that  thitung > ttable (3.07> 2,021), then H0 is rejected and H1 received. For the t-test of the parties to the students learning style extrovert show thitung = 3.07 and ttable = 1.684 at significance level of 5% that  thitung > ttable (3.07> 1.684), then H0 is rejected and H1 accepted. T-test calculation of the two parties to the students learning style introvert show thitung = -0.87 and ttable = -2.069 at a significance level of 5% that  thitung > ttable (-0.87> -2.069), then H0 is  rejected and H1  accepted. For the t-test for students learning styles  introvert  show thitung = -0.87 and ttable = 1.714 at significance level of 5% that  thitung <ttable   (-0.87 <1.714), then H0 is   rejected and H1 accepted. Key words: snowball throwing,learning style, ekstrovert, extrovert

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang bertujuan untuk: (1) meningkatkan aktivitas belajar matematika; (2) meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan di sana, masing-masing lingkaran terdiri dari empat tahap, seperti perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar matematika di kelas XII.IPS pada semester pertama di SMA Bina Mulya Gadingrejo dengan sub pembahasan integral. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian  disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Game Turnamen (TGT) dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas XII.IPS SMA Bina Mulya Gadingrejo tahun pelajaran 2016/2017.Kata kunci: pembelajaran kooperatif model permainan tim tipe, kegiatan belajar, hasil belajar.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to examine the relationship between math skills with the academic potential of students IKIP PGRI Pontianak. This study is correlational research design bivariate correlation. The population in the study were all students of Mathematics Education Semester IV consists of four study groups (classes) that two morning classes (A and B) and two afternoon classes (A and B). With purposive sampling technique was chosen as a class A sample. Based on the results obtained by regression analysis using SPSS t value of 0.379 and a significance of 0.707 > 0.01, which means that H0 accepted. Thus we can conclude there is no significant relationship between mathematical skills with academic potential of students IKIP PGRI Pontianak.Keywords: relationship , math skills , academic potential.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the effectiveness of mathematics learning by hypnoteaching on student achievement in the subject of geometry II. This research used quantitative approach and including a quasi-experimental research because it is not possible to control all the variables that affect the dependent variable. Population in this study were all students of sixth semester in third grade mathematics department FPMIPA IKIP PGRI Bojonegoro. Sample in this study were obtained by simple random sampling. Documentation methods used to retrieve data final exam and test techniques are used to determine students achievement in the subject geometry II. Whereas for data analysis techniques in this study using several statistical tests, among others, the prerequisite test were normality test using Liliefors and homogeneity test with f test, and balance testing with two-tailed t-test and hypothesis using one tailed t-test. After conducting research and analysis with one tailed t test on students learning achievement on the geometry subject can be concluded that hypnoteaching learning gives better achievement than direct instruction. So it can be concluded that the hypothesis presented by researchers indicate that learning hypnoteaching gives a better achievement than the direct instruction.

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this research were to know the difference of  achievement and improvement in mathematical critical thinking ability of students that given problem posing approach with students that given conventional learning. The method used in this research is the experimental method, with the design of pretest-posttest control group. The population is all students of vocational school in Cimahi, while the sample is chosen selectively from two classes of one of vocational schools. Then from these two classes, it is determined randomly as to which class is assigned into experimental or control class. In analyzing the data, the test of two mean differences is done using non-parametric statistical test Mann Whitney and the t test. The results show that (1) mathematical critical thinking of the students who received problem posing is better than that of those who received conventional learning; (2) Improvement in mathematical critical thinking ability of the students who received problem posing approach is better than that of those received conventional learning Keyword: Mathematical critical thinking, Problem posing
