Tabligh Journal is a scientific publication for research topics and studies on communication and da'wah. Abstract

The problem of teenagers or young age groups in facing the challenges of their future has been paying central attention and research. The Progress achieved by the society in the physical or material field has not run linearly with the achievement in the field of social and religious. The main values of society including religious’ values are generally declining. In the social and religious spheres such as education, hajj, and prayer with the progress achieved do not seem having any significant improvement implications. Moreover, in certain areas of social and religious values which is embraced by society are not mostly looking displaced by global values, either directly from the consequences of development or the negative influence of the media.Adolescents sociologically are very vulnerable to external influences. It is because the search process of identity, so that it is easily vacillated and difficult to determine people who deserve to be cultivated. Teenagers at this age are very easy to interpret the trends that occur in society according to the truth of their own thinking. Adolescent’s behavior that is contrary to religious values seems uneasy to minimize as the development of modern technology. It is similarly to adolescents in rural areas that have been increasingly eroded by the current times. The adolescents who have faith, then the urge to commit evil will always be thwarted by their faith, because the commemoration of divine revelation is still into their mental attitude. The strong understanding about the three basic values in Islam that is Aqidah, Worship and Morals will affect the experience of these three basic values in the life of adolescents, both vertical relationships with Allah swt. and horizontal relatioship with human beings.

Abstract

This paper attempted to describe the representation of women in Ca Bau Kan throughcritical discourse analysis coined by Sara Mills in analyzing films using genderperspective. Theory of construction of reality by Berger and Luckmann was used to viewhow women are depicted in the film. Through gender perspective in media, this articlereveals how film media constructs reality on women, who are associated with passiveness,obedience and dependence to men. It also discusses how the difference betweenmasculinity and femininity is preserved by media culture. Lastly, this paper ends with aconclusion on the importance of equality between men and women so that film industrycan represent women in the media better, provide gender perspective for the society,especially young Indonesian audience.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana kedudukan perempuan yang menerima tanah sebagai mahar dalam perkawinan pada suku Bugis-Makassar, sejauh mana pemahaman perempuan tentang hak-hak atas tanah pemberian dalam perkawinan, tujuan pemberian mahar pada pihak perempuan menurut perspektif perempuan Bugis Makassar, mendeskrepsikan pemahaman perempuan mengenai pemberian tanah sebagai mahar dalam pernikahan adat Bugis-Makassar, serta mendeskrepsikan pemberian mahar sebagai identitas diri perempuan dalam perkawinan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode penelitian Kualitatif dengan menggunakan wawancara dan observasi, artinya ada interaksi dengan orang yang telah diteliti, bagaimana pemahaman budanya, nilai-nilai yang dianutnya, motif dan sebagainya. Proses wawancara dilakukan terhadap 4 orang subjek dengan menggunakan pedoman wawancara yang memuat pokok-pokok pertanyaan yang ditujukan pada informan utama dan informan pendukung, pertanyaan bersifat berkembang, yaitu pertanyaan tidak hanya terkait dengan apa yang menjadi guide, akan tetapi juga mengikuti infoman sebagai cara mendapatkan data lebih luas. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa pemahaman tanah sebagai mahar dan identitas diri pada perempuan dimulai ketika proses pelamaran dimulai, dan dilegalkan pada saat akad nikah karena tertulis dalam buku nikah, sunrang tanah yang diterimanya merupakan kesepakatan dari pihak laki-laki. Kepemilikan atas tanah pemberian sebagai mahar menjadi hak milik perempuan secara adat. Bahwa  pemberian tanah sebagai mahar untuk melindungi perempuan setelah menikah, dalam artian tanah sebagai pelindung bagi posisi perempuan dalam keluarganya, dan juga secara psikologis pemberian tanah menjadi lambang harga diri (harkat dan martabat) untuk menghormati seorang perempuan baik sebelum pernikahan ataupun setelah pernikahan, dikarenakan pemberian sunrang tanah tersebut sebagai pelindung bagi pihak istri untuk mencari nafka ketika terjadi sesuatu yang tidak diinginkan. Selain itu juga sebagai pengingat bagi laki-laki agar tidak secara mudah meninggalkan istri dan anak-anaknya tanpa tanggungjawab.

Abstract

This work would analyze how is the social class represent in Reality Show “Jika Aku Menjadi Buruh Kilang Tebu”. Beside it, how is the social class constructed and implied to audiens also analyzed in this work. Some aspects that support the domination and hegemony of ruling class will be analyzed in this works. The ideology of ruling class is produced and reproduced by mass media create a power relation among social class in society. This focus is also identified and analyzed in relationship to power relation between lower class and ruling class. The exploitation of working class and creating of pseudo consciousness are the political action, especially in the role of television. Those topics also will be analyzed. Using media studies, social class representation in relation of production, domination, hegemony of ideology, and relation of political economy in this reality show will be identified and analyzed. To analyze of the problems, this works using the thoughts of Marx, Gramsci, Althusser and others of media studies philosophers. Those are the basics of theories to analyze how the upper class’s ideology and its power relation are operated in this reality show. The results of the study indicates thet there are many operation of ideology and power relation to massificates the hegemoni and domination of upper class to lower class in this reality show.

Abstract

Salah satu perkembangan industri film yang cukup menarik di Indonesia adalah bagaimana genre film islami mengangkat berbagai isu sosial budaya melalui perspektif islami. Oleh karena itu, artikel ini ditulis dengan tujuan menganalisis wacana poligami dalam salah satu film islami populer Surga Yang Tak Dirindukan 1 dan 2. Teknik analisis film dilakukan dengan metodologi semiotika yang memperlakukan film sebagaimana teks bahasa sehingga memudahkan penulis untuk menganalisis prinsip struktural yang mendasari film. Analisis struktural pada film tersebut menunjukkan bahwa secara umum film merepresentasikan konstruksi laki-laki dan perempuan muslim ideal, relasi ideal antara suami dan istri dalam perspektif Islam, dan juga wacana poligami yang bisa menjadi solusi atas berbagai permasalahan sosial. Konstruksi ideal wacana poligami tersebut didasarkan atas interpretasi para tekstualis atas ayat-ayat Quran tentang poligami. Hanya saja, representasi ideal wacana poligami islami tersebut tidak memberikan ruang atas berbagai komplikasi yang kerap kali terjadi pada pernikahan poligami.

Abstract

Journalistic Ethics in Development of Da'wah is one of the most crucial used communication media between individuals and organizations across the world today, as a medium of sharing and disseminating information Islam. The advantages offered by Journalistic Ethics in Development of Da'wahis very effectively to convey the message of dakwah. Indeed, dakwah is one of the successful activities implemented through social media whenever the renowned da’ie also uses this method. Therefore, this paper reveals the role of social media (Journalistic) in disseminating the message of dakwah to the community. It focuses on the social media factors which affect publicizing Islamic information. Various aspects such as the effectiveness of the messages, the role of the da’ie, the medium used, the right approach, and the concept of amar ma’ruf nahi munkar are also peeled. This paper also discusses the need for social media to be used by the community in order to get more exposure toward Islamic messages. In fact, all parties should have the awareness on the importance of social media as a medium of communication for dakwah in this era of information.Journalistic Ethics is the subdivision of applied ethics dealing with the specific ethical principles and standards of media, including broadcast media, film, theatre, the arts, print media and the internet. Ethical standard refers to standard principles that encourage the greater values of trust, fairness and benevolence. Ethical standards may refer to responsibilities for some professionals.Generally, the objective of the study is to know Journalistic Ethics in Development of Da'wah. The findings of this study will provide useful information about Journalistic Ethics in Development of Da'wah, that The researchers can conclude that Journalistic Ethics in Development of Da'wah have their own strength but are very keen in spreading da’wah and have their own strong fan base of followers in social media. Therefore, a preliminary conclusion can be made that social media, especially journalistic can be used as a platform for da’ies to spread da’wah and well-meaning messages.

Abstract

Al-Quran have a great attention to science and provide a high status on people who mastering science. One of the fields of science be the object of Al-Quran is communication. The scope and functions of communication studies in the Quran (Islamic communication) a wider than science of communication. To develop the science of communication in harmony with the values of revelation, it is important to study communication refers to the principles of communication in the Quran. Duty of Muslims to integrate into the Quranic values in modern science so that the communication of science is not only based on the paradigm of modern science, but also contains the values of Divinity. Communication science which only talking about inter-human communication can be adopted into Islamic communication as long as not contrary to Islamic values. Instead, science communication learned during these can be enriched by Islamic principles of communication.

Abstract

Komunitas vespa gembel di pulau Madura, tepatnya di kabupaten Bangkalan menjadi satu kajianyang menarik untuk diteliti karena keunikan dan budaya yang berbeda dari budaya islamisebagai budaya dominan di pulau Madura. Banyak praktek kultural yang subversif sebagaibentuk penegasan identitas bahwa budaya komunitas vespa gembel sebagai budaya subkulturdan counter culture dari budaya dominan. Budaya islami di Bangkalan tetap menjadi budayadominan yang secara tidak langsung mempengaruhi habitus dari setiap agen dalam komunitasvespa gembel. Dampak pengaruh budaya islami di tengah-tengah komunitas vespa gembelditunjukkan dalam event-event komunitas vespa gembel yang diadakan di dalam dan luarMadura.

Abstract

The use of mobile phone in interpersonal communication is not only used by urban society, but also by rural society. The structure of social, culture, and norms which are clasically owned by the rural society has been displaced. The rural society construct their values and social communication act as the concequence of the use of mobile phone massively.  The change of the rural society production activity has direclty boosted the social space. The pattern of social interaction is used to be collective, but now to be individual. The elements which are developed social interaction in rural area are moving dinamically and able to reproduce social values such as individualistic, effectivity, and pragmatism.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk melihat perubahan perilaku masyarakat modern karena pengaruh internet. Perubahan pola perilaku itu akan terlihat pada terbentuknya pasar-pasar digital bermediumkan internet atau yang lebih dikenal dengan nama online shopping yang masuk ke dalam budaya populer. Budaya populer terbentuk pasca terbentuknya juga era industri. Era industri disebabkan salah satunya oleh perkembangan teknolgi, khususnya teknologi informasi dan komunikasi yang diwakili dengan adanya internet. Kehadiran internet memang telah banyak merubah tatanan hidup masyarakat. Perkembangan teknologi telah membuat manusia masuk ke dalam era digital, di mana semua dilakukan dengan bantuan perangkat elektronik dan digital. Salah satunya yang mengalami perubahan ialah terbentuknya pasar baru, yakni pasar digital melalui kehadiran sosial media. Semua itu adalah bagian dari budaya populer yang menjadikan manusia memiliki hubungan erat dengan kegiatan konsumsi. Barang-barang yang dikonsumi melalui aktivitas virtual di dunia maya menjadi identitas sosial baru sebagai masyarakat modern yang dinamis. Penciptaan kebutuhan yang dilakukan di dunia virtual membuat manusia memiliki hasrat-hasrat untuk mengkonsumsi barang yang belum tentu di butuhkan dalam kesehariannya. Inilah memang tujuan dari sistem kapitalisme yang ingin menjadikan manusia sebagai budaknya.
