Abstract

Jihad is not always by taking up arms and going to war. Today, jihad is perceived and practiced in a variety of approaches. One of them is with literary works. The use of literary works as a medium for proselytizing has recently been widely loved because the message conveyed through the text indirectly affects the reader. Thus, the purpose of this study is to identify the meaning of jihad through literary works. The object of this study is the novel Conqueror of the Storm by Aguk Irawan MN which is considered appropriate to be used as a source related to jihad. This research uses Paul Ricoeur's hermeneutic theory and methods, namely objective, reflective, and existential. The results of the text analysis were obtained through three stages, namely objectively, and reflectively, to extensively produce 3 meanings of jihad, namely jihad meaning proselytizing, science, and meaning physical jihad. Jihad means proselytizing is related to the enforcement of Amar Makruf Nahi Munkar, jihad is jihad to become mujtahid, and jihad means physical is the jihad of love of the homeland in defending sovereignty.

Abstract

Abstract This article discusses how Makassar Berkebun, an urban farming community in Makassar Sulawesi-Selatan, communicates its environmental message through the qualitative analysis of environmental communication strategies dan models in Introducing the Concept of Urban Agriculture. This article also discusses how the communication strategies used contributed to increasing knowledge, understanding, and community participation in Urban Agriculture and Plantation activities in Makassar City. This research is qualitative research that obtained the data from interviews and literature research delivered descriptively. The approach used is the Environmental Communication Science approach and the concept of Urban Agriculture. The results of this research show that there are four types of communication strategies applied by Makassar Berkebun Community to realize the vision and mission of the community, namely; Socialization, Campaign, Education, and Training. This research also shows that the communication model used to analyze the communication strategy applied by Makassar Berkebun Community is a mechanistic and interactional communication model, namely the communication model of David K Berlo (1960) and the communication model of Schramm (1954). Abstract

This article discusses cultural-based da'wah education against Totamma tradition which develops in the Pambusuang Village, Balanipa District, Polewali Mandar Regency. There are main issues studied that are reviewing the arguments how the tradition is strongly vigorous the relationship between cultural values and religion in the Totamma tradition? and what the meaning of content da'wah education in it?. This article is part of the qualitative research with phenomenological theory of da'wah proposed by Nur Sham became a framework for understanding and analyzing the data. This theory believes that every proselytizing process must be concerned with the purpose internal persuasive and can also be determined by the external persuasive cause. The conclusion of this study refers to three things: First, the tradition of Totamma is an expression of gratitude for children's success in the process of learning to read the Qur'an. Second, the relationship between religious and cultural values in the Totamma tradition is accommodative-theologianistic. The three endeavors to embed mental health and motivation to religious teachings are realized in three things, such as the development of children's qualities, the traditional values provision, and the religious emotional cultivation at an early age.

Abstract

Carrying out da'wah activities is an obligation for every Muslim, the da'wah movement as an agent of social change will be faced with various problems in accordance with the demands of the present era. Along with the development of human civilization that is increasingly advanced and civilized. This paper explores the da'wah movement with An-Nadzir da'wah communication strategy with the Kuntowijoyo prophetic social studies approach. The results of this analysis indicate that the communication strategy applied by an-Nadzir has prophetic principles, namely humanization, liberation, and transcendence so that the da'wah is effective and creates a stable community.

Abstract

Religious teachings originating from the Qur'an will certainly be increasingly accepted by mankind if the delivery method is appropriate, as did the Prophet Musa to his people, especially to Pharaoh in QS Taha/20: 42–44. Regardless of the results of the prophet's da'wah Moses to Pharaoh, the method used should be an example for the preachers in modern era, some of which are colored with hate speech, insults, and fake news. This paper is expressed descriptively and qualitatively by explaining the verse in tahlili to know in depth the correct and appropriate way of da'wah, such as the method used by the Prophet Moses, namely by using qaulan layyina̅, meaning the da'wah delivered by the prophet Moses. gently, but that does not mean that it seems to weaken the preacher. qaulan layyina̅ can be interpreted as a gentle da'wah, with a pleasant voice, a good attitude, and pleasant behavior.

Abstract

This research aimed to reveal the role of the local scholars in the spread of Islam in Borneo. The only famous cleric in Borneo is Muhammad Arsyad al-Banjari from South Kalimantan. Each region in Kalimantan has its scholars, the local cleric of West Kalimantan who will be discussed in this paper is Ismail Mundu to-panrita (a scholar, religious leader, and knowledgeable person, who has worked for the benefit of the community), as a cleric and mufti of the Kubu Kingdom. The research method used in this study was the historical method by taking the following steps, namely: heuristics, criticism, auffassung, and desterliung. The results of the study found that Ismail Mundu as a scholar had practiced his knowledge in educating the community and creating a religious and peaceful society. He was appointed to be the Mufti of the Kubu Kingdom due to his success in eradicating ignorance in the community. After the Kubu Kingdom ended and merged with the Republic of Indonesia, Ismail Mundu was elected to be a judge of the Kubu Court. Ismail Mundu as mufti gave fatwas and explanations to the public regarding religious issues, which can be seen in his various works, including interpretations of the holy book Al-Quran in Bugis translation, collections of Isra' mi'raj stories, collections of sermons, collections of wirid, Remembrance of Tauhidiyah, Mukhtasar al-Mannan 'ala al-'Aqidat al-Rahman, Book of Mukhtasar Aqaid, Faidah Istighfar Rajab, Schedule of Al-Nikah, Majmu' al-Mirats fi hukmi al-Faraid. The classification of Ismail Mundu's works includes interpretation, monotheism, tasawuf, fiqh, and history.

Abstract

Marriage through the culture of ta'aruf at Wahdah Islamiyah has become an obligation for every fostered cadre who has been nurtured by Murobbi and has the desire to get married. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of Murobbi as a mediator and Co-Owner of Personal Information that is exchanged for ta'aruf couples who want to get married. The personal disclosure happened to the ta'aruf Wahdah Islamiyah couple to Murobbi by maintaining their privacy. This phenomenon is being studied with the theory of Communication Privacy Management. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Two types of data sources were used in this research phase, namely primary data and secondary data, then the data was analyzed using Miles and Huberman data analysis. The results of this study found that biodata and photos as personal information were exchanged by Murobbi (Co-Owner of personal information) in controlling the exchange of information with prospective ta'aruf partners through roles built by murobbi, namely as parents, teachers, friends, and The leader shows that 1) the trust given in choosing a mate 2) maintaining communication boundaries and photo privacy, 3) controlling access to private information, 4) managing the disclosure of personal information in providing solutions for prospective ta'aruf partners Keywords: Murobbi’s Role, Personal Information, Photo Privacy Resrictions

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe the polarization of the nuclear family's internal propaganda in educating children from the religious aspect. Polarization is carried out by nuclear families as an effort to form quality coastal children based on faith and taqwa. In this type of qualitative research, data collection techniques are natural settings (natural conditions) in addition to collecting descriptive data, in-depth interviews, observations (careful responses at the pure sensory level), and documentation studies and, data analysis techniques using the Miles and Huberman namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that; The polarization system for internal proselytizing for the coastal core families is carried out during the conception and birth period by welcoming the call to prayer and qamat, and then singing the song Yabe Lale, Salawat Badr, as a motivation for life, aqiqah, and teaching prayer, being honest.

Abstract

Tourism in Indonesia continues to be managed seriously by the Indonesian government in order to improve and develop tourism objects in Indonesia with the aim and purpose of none other than increasing the number of tourist visits from both foreign and domestic tourists. Tourism in Indonesia itself is managed by the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism which has the branding "Wonderful Indonesia" which is intended for foreign tourists and "Pesona Indonesia" which is aimed at domestic tourists. Pesona Indonesia on YouTube uses a digital campaign that is supported by the use of endorsements in the form of artists or vloggers to increase audience interest, whether watching videos on YouTube or taking trips. Tourism is one of the potential fields in terms of the development of a country, this is because tourism is considered capable of having a positive impact as a driver of people's economic activities. The most positive impact is that tourism plays an important role as a driver of economic growth and prosperity in terms of development in an area. Makassar City itself has a variety of tourism potential, ranging from natural, cultural, and artificial tourism to special interest tours, that's why many local and foreign tourists visit Makassar City. One of them is a historical heritage tourist attraction, namely Fort Rotterdam. The Cultural Conservation Preservation Center (BPCB) is a technical implementing unit of the Ministry of Education and Culture in the field of cultural heritage preservation which is under and responsible to the Director General of Culture. BPCB is in charge of protecting, developing, and utilizing cultural heritage and suspected cultural heritage in its working area. BPCB South Sulawesi as the management unit of Fort Rotterdam must know very well how to disseminate information about cultural sites, especially in the digital era. The main factor that must be considered to increase interest in visiting is to formulate and implement a targeted communication strategy, because the key to all human activities is communication, and strategy is the right way to deal with all these activities in order to achieve goals and remove obstacles. resolve. Although there are many tourist attractions in Makassar, if foreign tourists do not know this information, they will not be able to enjoy the development of tourism. This study uses descriptive qualitative research, using observation and interviews as data collection techniques. The data analysis process is carried out by examining all available data from various sources, namely observations, interviews, personal documents, and official documents. Then check the validity of the data using data triangulation and technical triangulation. The results show that the communication strategy of the South Sulawesi Cultural Heritage Preservation Center uses four stages, namely introducing the audience to determine the target of the communication strategy to be carried out, compiling messages, using informative and repetition methods, and utilizing the media as a means of disseminating information through Public Service and Publication Working Group. Supporting and inhibiting factors are also factors that affect the effectiveness of the communication strategy of the South Sulawesi Cultural Heritage Preservation Center.

Abstract

Public service is the main task of government agencies and public bodies. The principle of good governance provides effective, efficient, transparent, and accountable public services. The Makassar city government has used the website https://makassarkota.go.id/ as digital media for public services. This website provides various information such as logos, names, history, potential, innovations, regional organizations, sub-districts, and news. The website displays the name of the agencies and sub-district in Makassar city with the office address, email, and website. With this facility, the public can obtain information and interact with the Makassar city government electronically. According to Gartner's research, website facilities are in the second stage, namely (1) presence, and (2) interaction. To improve public services, the website needs to be updated, and add transaction facilities (the third stage). Several official websites and sub-district offices that have not been active should be activated to provide services to the residents of Makassar.
