Abstract

Islam is a perfect religion as stated in the Holy Qur’an and the Prophetic Traditions. The Qur’an and the Prophetic Tradi-tions are the foundation of Islamic education. Nevertheless, education keeps on changing along with social condition. Faster social change will result in cultural lag. This paper discusses the values and culture which may be inherited to and the role of Islamic education to trans-mit them. There are three important aspects to impart to the next ge-neration. These are 1) belief in the unity of God, 2) Islamic law, and 3) character. Islamic education plays an important role to impart these aspects in the three centre of education: the family, school and com-munity.

Abstract

This research aims at finding character educationa program and its implementa-tion in building social and religious character at the students of SMPN 1 Cimanuk Kabupaten Pandeglang. It used qualitative descriptive which is used to describe current phenomenon about the implementation of character education in buil-ding social and religious character of at the students of SMPN 1 Cimanuk Kabu-paten Pandeglang. The result of the research shows that (1) charcter education program is a part of students building program; (2) the implementation of charac-ter education such as reciting prayer together, reciting short Surah; (3) students like to interact with other people, help each others, visit sick students, shake hand, do the picket, and cooperate.

Abstract

Anre Gurutta Haji (A.G.H) Muhammad As’ad is one of the actors of forming Islamic Boarding Schools in South Sulawesi. He went back from Makkah and went to Sengkang-Wajo in 1928. He graduated from al-Falah Makkah Mukarramah. He studied to the great Ulamas in the Mesjidil Haram (Haram Mosque). Among of his teachers were Syekh Abdul Rasyid al-Bugis, Syekh Ambo Wellang al-Bugis, Syekh Abbas Abdul Jabbar al-Bugis, Syekh Mallawa al-Bugis, Syekh Umar Hamdani (the traditional expert), Syekh Ahmad Azdirin, Syekh Jamal Makki, Syekh al-Abrar, Syekh Muhammad Said al-Yamani, and Syekh Hasan al-Yamani. Another students of A.G.H Muhammad As’ad who helped as teachers such as A.G.H Abdurrah-man Ambo Dalle, A.G.H Daud Ismail, A.G.H Yunus Maratn, Hamzah Badawi, Abdul Malik Muhammad, A.G.H Muhammad Abduh Pabbaja, Abdul Muin Yusuf, and Abdul Azis (North Luwu).

Abstract

Teori perkembangan remaja berfokus pada diskusi tentang perubahan-perubahan yang dialami oleh remaja dalam per-kembangannya, yaitu perubahan biologis, psikologis, kognitif, dan sosial. Perubahan-perubahan ini mempengaruhi perkembangan peri-laku remaja. Pada periode ini, remaja mengalami krisis identitas (identity crisis) dimana mereka mempertanyakan status keberadaan mereka di tengah masyarakat. Pada proses pencarian jati diri ini, kebutuhan akan penghargaan yang positif terhadap diri mereka (positive self-esteem) menjadi sangat penting karena hal itu dapat membantu mereka beradaptasi dengan tekanan dari kelompok sebaya (peer pressure). Perkembangan remaja juga sangat dipengaruhi oleh lingkungan langsung mereka (immediate environment) dalam hal ini kelompok sebaya (peer group) disaat mereka meninggalkan rumah dan bergabung dengan kelompok tersebut.

Abstract

Abstrak: Istilah pendidikan dalam bahasa Arab, biasa diterjemahkan dengan isitilah, seperti; tarbiyah dan ta’lim dengan berbagai derivasinya. Kedua istilah tersebut terdapat di beberapa tempat dalam al-Quran dengan berbagai konteks yang berbeda-beda. Untuk mengkaji masalah ini, digunakan pendekatan tematik (maudhu’i) dengan meneliti ayat-ayat yang berhubungan dengan pendidikan. Dari hasil kajian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa konsep tarbiyah dan ta’lim adalah proses pembinaan, pengembangan, dan pemeliharaan serta pemberian bekal berupa ilmu pengetahuan dan keterampilan kepada peserta didik agar mereka memiliki kepribadian dan sikap mental yang luhur, sehingga mampu melak­sanakan tugasnya sebagai khalifah Allah di muka bumi ini sesuai dengan daya nalar masing-masing.Abstract: The term education in Arabic is usually translated into the terms tarbiyah and ta’lim with their various derivations. Both of the terms can be found in many places in Al-Quran and with many different context. To study this problem, thematic approach (maudhu’i) was used. Based on this study, it can be concluded that the concept of tarbiyah and ta’lim are the process of educating, developing, maintaining, and also teaching knowledge and skills to students in order that they can have a good personality and good mental attitude to perform their duty as the khalifah of Allah in the earth.

Abstract

Classroom is an important meeting room between students and teachers in teaching process, where teachers transfer their knowledge to students. Flexible class management is important and teachers play an important role in this respect. Skill of class management is important to stimulate student to be productive and dinamic. Moreover, teachers face students who have different cultural background. Diversity does not always means some students are left behind and some are more developed. Instead, diversity is a contributing factor to studens for a change individually.

Abstract

Abstract: A test taker would answer a test with three assumptions; she/he will answer the question items because of knowing, by guessing, and copying the answers from other participants (cheating). However, if the test taker does not have any access to cheat, she/he will only give answers using the first and second assumptions. This article discusses the intensity of cheating before conducting test, during taking the test, and when the tests are carried out suddenly. The results showed that the highest intensity of cheating is done by the test takers during examinations, then when the test is done suddenly and the last before taking the test.Abstrak: Seorang peserta tes akan menjawab tes dengan tiga asumsi yaitu peserta tes akan menjawab suatu butir pertanyaan karena mengetahui, peserta menjawab tes dengan menebak, dan peserta menjawab tes karena menyalin jawaban dari peserta lain (menyontek). Akan tetapi jika peserta tes tidak memiliki akses untuk menyontek maka peserta hanya akan memberikan jawaban dengan asumsi pertama dan kedua. Artikel ini membahas intensitas menyontek sebelum pelaksanaan tes, pada saat pelaksanan tes, dan ketika tes dilaksanakan secara tiba-tiba.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa intensitas menyontek paling tinggi dilakukan oleh peserta tes pada saat ujian berlansung kemudian ketika ujian dilakukan secara tiba-tiba atau mendadak dan terakhir adalah sebelum pelaksanaan tes.

Abstract

Evaluation is a tool, which is used to measure the success level of a program. In measuring something, it must use appropriate tool based on the existing indicators. Evaluation in education is related to activity or process of education that becomes center of attention. The object of study is cognitive (knowledge and understanding), affective (attitudes and ideas), and psychomotoric (skills and habits), the determination of the instrument is associated with aspects that will be be assessed.

Abstract

Prinsip dari Metode Audio Language adalah guru harus menjadi model bagi pelajar dalam kelas dan sipelajar sebagai peniru model. Artinya, jika ada pengucapan yang salah dalam inter- aksi, seorang pengajar boleh secara langsung mengoreksi. Akan tetapi, ketika sipelajar melakukan cara yang benar atau pengucapan yang tepat, guru sebaiknya memberikan penguatan atau memuji sipelajar. Perinsip lain daripada metode Audi Language adalah sipelajar harus dibiasakan untuk menggunakan bahasa sasaran dan meminimalisasi penggunaan bahasa ibu sipelajar. Metode Audio Language cocok digunakan dalam pengajaran ‘speaking’ untuk meningkatkan kemam- puan sipelajar berbicara. Terdapat tujuh belas prinsip metode Audi Language yang harus diikuti secara bertahap bagi guru yang mau mengajar ‘speaking’ menggunakan metode ini.

Abstract

Counseling as technology of humanistic help needs appropriate strategy, so service subject gets advantage for itself. Bibliocounseling constitutes one of the help strategies by using information in the source library. This strategy can be made use of helping the client to improve health and so on. In order that, the counselor needs expansion bibliocounseling: goal, characteristic, client’s problem, material, method, and evaluation. The result of bibliocouseling has been planned that can be presented with technique of self-management, minimal contact, management counselor, and counselor’s direction. Its application, of course, it pays attention of principle such as truth and powerfulness information, efficient, advantage, client activity, and interest.
