Abstract

The Regional Government, Community and Parents have an obligation to protect children based on Pekanbaru Mayor Regulation Number 36 of 2016. Children are the next generation of the nation and state that we should protect, but the situation of children in Indonesia is still and continues to worsen due to violence. Violence against children is any action carried out intentionally or unintentionally that can damage a child, acts of violence include actions, words, attitudes and various structures that occur between two different parties. Theoretically, violence against children is an event of physical, mental or sexual harm which is generally carried out by people who are responsible for the welfare of children. This research aims to describe Pekanbaru City Government Collaboration in Preventing and Overcoming Violence against Children in 2020-2023. This research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The types of data are primary data and secondary data, primary data is obtained directly from informants. Meanwhile, secondary data is data that supports or strengthens primary data. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of interviews and documentation. The results of this research indicate that Pekanbaru City government collaboration has not been running optimally, seen from Ansell & Gash's collaborative process theory, namely Face to Face Dialogue, meetings have never been held to discuss preventing and overcoming child violence, Building Trust (Trust Building) yet. maximum because there is no MoU or Decree indicating cooperation. Commitment to the process has not been maximized because the rate of child violence in Pekanbaru City is still high. Sharing understanding has not been optimal because the outreach has not been carried out on a scale. and not optimal, the interim results (Intermediate Outcome) are that the collaborative process has not run optimally so that child violence in Pekanbaru City has increased from 2020-2023. Abstract

Arak berarak is one of the ceremonies or processions contained in the traditional marriage of the Malay tribe in Lubuk Bendahara Timur Village, Rokan IV Koto District, Rokan Hulu Regency. The purpose of this study is to analyze the communicative situation, communicative events and communicative acts of the arak berarak tradition in Malay tribal weddings in Lubuk Bendahara Timur Village. The research used qualitative method. The research subjects were 7 people who were 3 traditional leaders, 1 bundo kandung, 1 bride's parents, and 2 brides who were selected using purposive technique. The results of the study show that the communicative situation of the arak berarak tradition is carried out in the yard of the bride's residence. While communicative events include a whole series of components that build communication, namely event type, topic, purpose and function, participants, message form, message content, action sequence, interaction rules and interpretation norms in the arak berarak tradition. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of service quality, product quality and pricing on customer satisfaction at Rotte Bakery Bukit Barisan Pekanbaru. This research is a quantitative study with a sample of 160 respondents. This data source is obtained from secondary data and primary data. The study used a questionnaire as a data collection technique using the accidental sampling method, which is a sampling technique based on chance. The analysis methods used in this study are validity test, reliability test, heteroscedasticity classical assumption test, multiple linear analysis, t test, F test and coefficient of determination (R2) analysis. The results of this study are Service Quality (X1) has a significant effect on Customer Satisfaction (Y), Product Quality (X2) has a significant effect on Customer Satisfaction (Y), Pricing (X3) has a significant effect on Customer Satisfaction (Y), and Service Quality, Product Quality and Pricing have a significant effect on Customer Satisfaction. Abstract

This research aims to analyze the strategies implemented by UNFPA in 2018-2022 in overcoming the problem of teenage pregnancy in Sierra Leone in order to achieve a reduction in fertility rates at the age of 19-15 years. Sierra Leone is one of the countries in West Africa that has the highest teenage pregnancy rate in the world. The problem of teenage pregnancy in Sierra Leone is largely caused by poverty, low education and minimal access to contraception. This research uses qualitative methods with data collection techniques through books, journals and documents originating from official websites. This research uses a pluralism perspective and international organization theory. The results of this research show that UNFPA has issued strategies, namely ensuring the provision of contraceptives, empowering teenagers and adding comprehensive sexuality education to the curriculum, and ending dangerous practices. In this case, UNFPA shows a decrease in the fertility rate at the age of 15-19 years, namely 98/1000 in 2022. Keywords: UNFPA, Teenage Pregnancy, Sierra Leone

Abstract

This research was conducted to see the steps and strategies used by Alfamart in order to expand its modern retail in the Philippines. Alfamart is one of the retailers with product providers and trading companies that is very developed in Indonesia in the retail industry. This paper is qualitative research that uses Complexity and Global Expansion Strategy (CGES) theory which will look at the entry modes used by Alfamart to enter the Philippine’s retail market. In this research, researchers used the Individual - Group level of analysis. The Individual – Group level of behavioral analysis focuses on individuals who carry out international actions in groups. Data collection uses document analysis methods sourced from several books, journal articles and other references relevant to Alfamart's entry and development strategy in the Philippines. The research results show that Alfamart can expand and enter the Philippine’s retail market by using various strategies, where the selection and use of the right strategy is the main reason for the rapid development of Alfamart retail in the Philippines. The focus is on the entry mode of joint ventures and optimizing the global market complexity strategy that Alfamart uses in expansion, market observation and is supported by Philippine’s government regulations regarding the entry and exit of foreign investors. Abstract

Menstruation in India is often stigmatized, along with inadequate information and access to privacy facilities, this can lead to poor management of menstrual hygiene and privacy as well as discrimination against women, which can threaten the physical, psychological safety, dignity and well-being of teenagers and women in generally. The issue of menstrual health in adolescents and women has become a focus for international regimes such as CRC and CEDAW. This research aims to describe UNICEF's role in supporting India's Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM). The research method used in this paper uses qualitative research. The research uses a constructivist perspective where the constructivist perspective views ideas and beliefs as having an influence on actions, character and social and political structures. Furthermore, the theory used in this research is international organization theory, in this case international organizations function as arenas, instruments, independent actor in supporting good Menstrual Hygiene Management (MKM) in India. The research results show that UNICEF and its partners are working to change this through promoting awareness regarding menstrual health and hygiene, helping to improve well-being, especially among girls and young women. Abstract

Kidnapping and child trafficking are forms of violence against children that cause physical and psychological suffering and deprive children of their freedom. The kidnapping and trafficking of children in the city of Pekanbaru increased from 3 cases in 2021 to 5 cases in 2022. There is a need for the implementation of good governance functions, if the government can carry out it’s functions effectively, then services will naturally yield justice, empowerment will foster independence, development will create prosperity, and regulation will establish conditions conductive to ongoing activities, including the creation of a good social order in community life. The handling of child abduction and trafficking is carried out by the Women’s empowerment, Child Protection, and Community Empowerment Office of Pekanbaru City and the Technical Implementation Unit for Women’s and Children’s Protection as the technical implementing element of DP3APM. The purpose of this research is to understand the implementation of the functions of the Technical Impelementation Unit for Women’s and Children’s Protection (UPT PPA) in addressing issues related to child abduction and trafficking in Pekanbaru City in 2021-2022. This research uses the Government Function theory by Ryaas Rasyid, which includes the functions of service, development, empowerment, and regulation. The research method is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The data sources used are primary and secondary data. The data collection techniques are through interviews and documentation. The results of this research indicate that the UPT PPA of Pekanbaru City is capable of performing its service functions, as evidenced by the optimal management of kidnapping and trafficking cases. However, there are still shortcomings in facilities and infrastructure. In terms of development functions, the agency is building mobile units that can provide access to consultations, services, education, and also enhance the capacity of human resources through technical guidance. The empowerment function is carried out by establishing community- based PATBM activities, as well as conducting socialization and education. Furthermore, the regulatory function is executed by issuing Decree Number 239 of 2023. Keywords: UPT PPA, functions of government, kidnapping and child trafficking

Abstract

Facilities are facilities and infrastructure that support the operations of tourist attractions to accommodate all tourist needs, do not directly encourage growth but develop at the same time or after the attraction develops. In this case, facilities can be divided into main, supporting and ancillary facilities. This research aims to determine the facilities of the Wave River tourist attraction in Sipungguk Village, Kampar Regency, Riau Province and to determine visitor perceptions of the facilities of the Wave River tourist attraction. In this research, the author used quantitative methods as a data processing procedure. The data processing techniques used were observation, questionnaires and documentation using a Likert scale as a measuring tool. Based on the research results, the facilities at the Wave River tourist attraction in Sipungguk Village, Kampar Regency, Riau Province, are in the good category. Abstract

Konco Street is a family-based mountaineering community that emphasizes solidarity. This community has members with a variety of different backgrounds. The interesting thing about this community is that the members only consist of men, climbing at minimal costs and visiting hidden places that are rarely visited such as waterfalls, lakes and so on. other. The research was conducted in Payakumbuh in the Konco Street mountain climber community. The aim of this research is to find out: 1) the role of group communication members in the Konco Street group communication of the Payakumbuh Mountain Climber Community in establishing solidarity 2) the function of group communication in the Konco Street community 3) communication patterns that occur in the group communication process in the Konco Street Payakumbuh community . This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. This research uses purposive and incidental subject determination techniques and uses interview, observation and documentation data collection techniques. The data analysis technique used is the Miles and Huberman technique which consists of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and verification. The data validity checking technique uses the Triangulation technique. The results of this research show that the role of the leader in the group is as a decision maker, mediator when conflict occurs between members, and as a supporter for members both for activities and to maintain solidarity between members. Management in the Konco Street community plays a role in carrying out their respective functions in accordance with the established management structure. In maintaining community solidarity, not only the chairman plays a role, but the management and members also play a big role in this matter. The function of group communication that occurs in the Konco Street community is the function of social relations, the function of education and the function of preliminary solving. The pattern used in Konco Street community group communication is the star pattern where communication occurs in all directions. Every member is free to communicate with anyone without the need for intermediaries.

Abstract

This research discusses the potential of Silek Pangian cultural performances to result in efforts to preserve Silek Pangian. The research method used in this research is a qualitative research method. The movements in silek pangian are the pitupang, steps, tangkok, attack and sambuik movements, these movements are characteristic of silek pangian. Apart from the movement elements, in the Silek Pangian performance the musical instruments used are the traditional musical instruments of the Kuantan singing area, namely the calempong and gondang, the costume elements are also influential, namely wearing all black clothes, wearing a skullcap and cloth as a songket. Supporting elements such as property are important in the silek pangian performance, while using property elements such as swords and shields. In terms of the stage or place where silek pangian is performed, it is in the open air which has been prepared by the silek pangian administrators and the audience who witness silek pangian are from the local community.
