Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the Correlation of Productivity of Coconut Farmers with Family Welfare in Sungai Perak Village, Tembilahan District, Indragiri Hilir Regency. The sampling technique in this study was stratified random sampling. To be more representative of the researchers taking a sample of 65 respondents with a calculation of 10 percent of the total population in each number of coconut farmers based on the number of coconut trees owned. Data collection techniques used were questionnaire sheets and direct observation. This study uses quantitative methods, presented in table form and then given an explanation. The statistical test used is the Pearson product moment correlation test, and the data obtained is processed using SPSS 23.0 for Windows. Based on the results of the research conducted, it was concluded that the productivity and welfare of the families of the coconut farmers were categorized as being moderate. This is proven by calculating an interval value that is at a moderate interval (2,384-3,337). The proposed hypothesis produces a correlation of productivity of coconut farmers with family welfare in Sugai Perak Village, Tembilahan District, Indragiri Hilir Regency. Abstract

Siak Regency is one of  the Districts that has excellent tourist destinations, which in the presence of superior tourist destinations, transportations facilities and infrastructure are needed as tourism support in Siak Regency. One of the problems of transportation facilities and infrastructure is the management of Tuah Tualang Type C Terminalsin Siak Regency, this is because there are still many shadow terminals and ticket agents around the Tualang Sub-District road and the public transport route network has not been arranged. The purpose of this study was to evaluate terminal management and look at the evaluation factors for the management of  Tuah Tualang Type C Terminal in Regency. The theoretical concept used is the theory of evaluation by Dunn in (Nugroho, 2017), namely : effectiveness, efficiency, sufficiency, equity, responsiveness, and determination. This study uses qualitative methods with a case study approach, and uses purposive sampling technique, with data collection thecniques including : observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the evaluation of the management of the type C terminal of  Tuah Tualang in Siak Regency have not run optimally and have not been realized properly. it is better to improve the status of the terminal to type A and to arrange a system for the public transport route network at the Tuah Tualang terminal in Siak Regency. Keywords : Evaluation, Governance, Terminal

Abstract

This study aims to test partially and simultaneously the effect of Earning Volatility and Leverage on Stock Price Volatility. Independent variables in this study are Earning Volatility and Leverage and dependent variable is Stock Price Volatility. This study uses secondary data in the form of company financial reports and annual reports on annual reports of property and real estate companies listed on the Stock Exchange. This study use purposive sampling technique, this which is used is 15 companies and the data analysis use simple linear regression analysis, multiple linear regression, T test, F test and coefficient of determination test using SPSS 16 devices. The results show that the variable volatility earnings partially (t test) influences the volatility of stock prices of property and real estate companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, the leverage variable partially (t test) influences the volatility of listed property and real estate on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Simultaneous test results (f test) indicate the influence of variable volatility and leverage earnings on stock price volatility in property and real estate companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange.  Keywords: Earning Volatility, Leverage, and Stock Price Volatility

Abstract

This research explain about the effect of ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) toward the foreign worker at Riau province. After the prevailing of MEA, there are an increase of foreign worker who came to Indonesia especially to Riau province, this phenomenon occured due to of MEA has erase some obstacles in certain current such as product, service, investment, skill workers and of course those things will bring an effect itself after the prevailing of MEA toward the using of foreign worker at Riau province. The perspective used in this research is Liberalism Perspective with International Cooperation Theory. The data used in this research is secondary data that obtained through kinds of literature such as books, journals, newspapers, certain institution data and other document that support this research. The data obtained was selected and then being analyzed in a qualitative way and arranged in form of descriptive research report. The result of this research, after the prevailing of MEA toward the using of foreign worker at Riau province, it has either positive and negative effects. The negative effect such, MEA create such a competition between foreign and local worker, MEA could make a foreign worker who came to Indonesia to replace the position of local worker in a work field, therefore the positive effect of MEA is we would have a lot of foreign investment coming and there will be a transfer in terms of technology and knowledge in the future.Keyword: ASEAN Economic Community (AEC), foreign worker, ASEAN, Riau Province

Abstract

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Kuantan Singingi has a crucial role, especially in tourism development and cultural preservation. In order to accelerate the development of tourism destinations with the issuance of the Decree of Kuantan Singingi Regency Number: KPTS 11/25/2017, it is necessary to establish a flagship tourism destination which requires integrated, comprehensive and sustainable steps in their realization. However, in fact, the purpose of Kuantan Singingi Regent is difficult to materialize because the Ministry of Culture and Tourism has not been serious in developing the tourism destinations. The formulationof the problem in this study were (1) how is the effort of Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Kuantan Singingiin realizing the flagship tourism destinations in 2017-2018? (2)what are the inhibiting factors in the efforts of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Kuantan Singingi in realizing the flagship tourism destinations in 2017-2018?This study aimed to (1) describe the efforts of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Kuantan Singingi in realizing flagship tourism destinations in 2017-2018, (2) describe the inhibiting factors of Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Kuantan Singingi’sefforts in realizing flagship tourism destinations in 2017 2018. This research was a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. This study was conducted at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Kuantan Singingi. The data was collected through interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique used was an interactive analysis model. The study concluded that the efforts of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Kuantan Singingi in realizing flagship tourism destinations in 2017-2018 were seen through the role of entrepreneurs, the role of coordinators, the role of facilitators and the role as stimulators that were not optimal. The efforts of Ministry of Culture and Tourismwere influenced by internal factors and external factors. The internal factors werebudget constraints, inadequate human resources and regulations; the absence of regional regulations related to the Regional Tourism Development Master Plan of Kuantan Singingi. Meanwhile, theexternal factors were the lack of community participation in tourism destinations development and the low involvement of the private sector in developing tourism destinations.Keywords: Efforts, Development Acceleration, Flagship Tourism Destinations

Abstract

Violence against women is already being world issue, where women’s rights are not fulfilled and discrimination against women happened on some aspects of life. To reduce the number of violence against women and eliminate any forms of discrimination against women, UN created a convention called Convention on The Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW). Indonesia ratified this convention in 1984, but in the following years after ratification, the number of violence against women keeps increasing especially on domestic violence case. In 1998, Indonesia’s President BJ Habibie founded National Commission of Women (Komnas Perempuan) as National Human Rights Institute (NHRI) in Indonesia that works as the national correctional system, and monitoring enforcement of women’s right, with CEDAW as its work foundation. The sources of this research were obtained through literature reviews, journals, books, articles, websites, and others. This research used qualitative methods and generating descriptive data. In terms to solve the problem, this research is using the Socialist Feminism perspective with assume that socialist feminism is the most appropriate perspective to describe women’s issue especially in domestic violence case where patriarchy and capitalism are the main problem that caused domestic violence against. This research is using Constructivism theory where CEDAW is the main convention that constructed in Indonesia and Komnas Perempuan) that implementing CEDAW in Indonesia as the level of analysis. Human’s Rights is used as the concept where feminism is created by those issues. This research shows that implementation forms of CEDAW by Komnas Perempuan to raise and increase women’s awareness, especially in domestic violence that being the main issue, are; formulating laws on the elimination of domestic violence, releasing annual report of violence against, supporting Indonesia’s women movements and releasing journals and books about domestic violence. Key Words: CEDAW, Discrimination, Domestic Violence, Women’s Rights, Komnas Perempuan.

Abstract

             The majority of the people in Rambah Hilir Tengah Village are Malay people, there are two systems namely Ideal Marriage and Contribution Marriage where the marriage procedure is not just done, because they have customs. Moreover, both parties live on the Malay Earth they must know each other about their the origin, family, lineage, and ethnicity. After asking all that, there are irregularities, for example the couple is come from one tribe or also called as a fellow, they want to get married as well, whether or not they have to leave the tribe, and will get a fine in the form of two goats to be given to Datuk Pucuk, Ninik Mamak or Traditional Datuk and Village Apparatus. As the purpose of giving the two goats is to ensure that the nephew of Ninik Mamak Si A has come out of his tribe and entered into the tribe of his father or a tribe that is Seven, Not only that couples who marry one tribe also get sanctions in the form of Customary Fines Karma sanctions, and getting scorn from the community and the couple is wasted throughout Adat. Then the factor of the marriage of one tribe is a lack of knowledge of indigenous issues, Religion that does not prohibit, Lack of knowledge about adat from parents, matchmaking is also included in the factor encouraging someone to marry one tribe. Abstract

This study aims to determine how much influence the work environment and compensation on employee job satisfaction. The sample in this study was taken as many as 72 respondents and the technique used was Total Sampling. The data in this study used the survey method through questionnaires filled out by employees. Data obtained using simple regression analysis and multiple regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that the work environment has a significant effect on job satisfaction. compensation has a significant effect on job satisfaction. And simultaneously the work environment and compensation have a significant effect on employee job satisfaction. Further research is recommended to use other methods in examining job satisfaction, for example through in-depth interviews with respondents. Keywords: Work Environment, Compensation, and Job Satisfaction

Abstract

The collaboration of the Malabar Naval Exercise was initially a bilateral cooperation between the US and India which was first held in 1992. This collaboration is a defense cooperation in the maritime field carried out by the US Navy and the Indian Navy. In the implementation of the Malabar Exercise that carried out by the US and India, Japan has participated three times in this cooperation in 2007, 2009 and 2014. In 2015, India invited Japan to become a permanent partner in Malabar Exercise and make this collaboration a Trilateral cooperation between Japan, US and India. This study analyzes Japan interests in Malabar Exercise cooperation in the period 2015-2017. The purpose of this study is to find out what Japan interest in the Malabar Exercise cooperation in period 2015-2017. The Research from this paper uses qualitative research methods with data collected through literature studies. The theory used in this paper is international cooperation theory, while the concept that used is the national interest consept. Key words : Malabar Exercise, Security, Japan, Defense Cooperation

Abstract

            Regional Water Company (PDAM) is one of the agencies that often gets complaints from the public as customers about the quality of its services. The complaint is about the services of officers who are slow and not maximal. The research method used in this study is a quantitative research method with a quantitative descriptive approach. The study sample was taken as many as 100 respondents and the technique used was cluster random sampling. The data in this study used randomized questionnaires to the Customers of the Regional Water Company (PDAM) in Dumai City. The results of this study indicate that the variable quality of service on the reliability indicator gets the highest score of 985 and the lowest score is the Assurance indicator with a score of 731. As for the customer satisfaction variable the indicator of recommended availability gets the highest score with 752 and the score the lowest is obtained by the indicator of expectations of suitability with a score of 574. research conducted on the variable Quality of service to customer satisfaction shows that the service quality count value is 5.544 with a significance value of 0,000 smaller than 0.05 and regression coefficient of 13,382. This means that proven service quality and customer satisfaction have a significant effect. Keywords: Service Quality, Customer Satisfaction
