Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to know the influence of career development and work environment on performance of employees PT. Perkebunan Nusantara V Pekanbaru. In PT. Perkebunan Nusantara V Pekanbaru, the magnitude of the responsibilities that must be assumed but is not accompanied by the authority in making its decision, this would mean excessive supervisor intervention up to the technical aspects, the standard operating procedures that are too rigid thus making the employees not motivated to find or make decisions faster and employees also saturated to follow a standard that has been established so that the impact on the decline in the performance of the employee. In determining the subject will be examined, researchers use accidental sampling. accidental sampling means the sample determination technique based on respondents who found by investigators at the time of data collection, the sample in this research will be taken on the employees of PT. Perkebunan Nusantara V Pekanbaru year 2017 with the number of employees as many as 82 people. The method in this research is the analysis of multiple linear, t-test and f-test with the help of SPSS ver 24 applications for windows. This research concluded that the test results showed that the career development t against the performance of an employee the existence of significant influence on performance of employees at PT. Perkebunan Nusantara V Pekanbaru. T test results indicate that the work environment on performance of employees of the existence of significant influence on performance of employees at PT. Perkebunan Nusantara V Pekanbaru. F test results indicated that career development and work environment simultaneously significantly influential on performance of employees received.Keywords: Career Development, Work Environment, Performance

Abstract

 Keywords: Role, Neglected Elderly, ASLUT Article 27 paragraph (2) of the 1945 Constitution states that "every citizen has the right to work and livelihood that is appropriate for humanity". This means that every Indonesian citizen has the right to receive assistance from the government to get a decent living, especially for groups of people with Social Welfare Problems (PMKS), one of which is neglected elderly. Based on Minister of Social Affairs Regulation Number 12 of 2013 concerning the ASLUT Program, the government is obliged to provide social security to help displaced elderly people in fulfilling some of their basic needs. The government in this case the Office of Social Affairs has a role and aims to support the government program regarding Neglected Elderly Social Assistance (ASLUT) based on the principle of assistance (medebewind). Therefore the author formulates the problem, namely: why the role of the Pekanbaru City Social Service to support the Government's program regarding Neglected Elderly Social Assistance (ASLUT) in 2017-2018 is not optimal. The purpose of this study was to: (1) find out the role of the Pekanbaru City Social Service to support the government program regarding the Assistance for Displaced Ages (ASLUT) for 2017-2018. (2) knowing the inhibiting factors for the role of the Social Service Office to support the government program regarding the Assistance for Neglected Elderly (ASLUT) for 2017-2018. This study uses a qualitative research method with a type of descriptive research, which can be interpreted as a problem-solving process that is investigated by describing the state of the research subject based on the facts that appear during the research which then proceed based on existing theories. The research was carried out at the Pekanbaru City Social Service. The selection of informants is done by purposive technique. Data collection techniques used during conducting research are by interview and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the role of the Social Service Office in Pekanbaru City to support the Government's program regarding ASLUT has not played an optimal role. This is indicated by the problem of data collection of prospective ASLUT recipients who do not have self-identities such as ID cards and often found ID cards that are not valid. In addition to data collection, the second obstacle encountered in the field is the issue of issuing ASLUT cards and ASLUT recipients often experiencing delays.

Abstract

This research aims to explain influence of implementation of the amendment of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) employment 2006 Indonesia-Malaysia on the sending of Tenaga Kerja Indonesia (TKI) to Malaysia in 2012-2014. The number of jobs which was not equivalent to the number of Indonesian population causes many TKI work abroad. Malaysia as one of the main destinations of TKI has its own problems related to cases of human rights violations which were suffered by the workers there. The moratorium issued by Indonesian government was a response to the case of human rights violations, but in December 2011, the government revoked the moratorium and carried out protocol amending the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) 2006. The sources of this research are obtained through literature review, other books, website, etc.The sources analysis is qualitative methode. This research uses a level analysis of nation state, Liberalism perspective, and also using  theory of interdepedence. The results of this research shows that the Implementation of Amendment of MoU 2006 has ratified granting of the rights of Indonesian migrant workers, reducing number of unemployed people in Indonesia with the continuing delivery of Indonesian migrant workers to Malaysia, increasing acceptance of remittances from migrant workers in Malaysia and also number of migrant workers legal in Malaysia, forming a joint task force between Indonesia and Malaysia, and  fixing law governing on protection of indonesian migrant workers. Key Words: Amendment of Memorandum of Understanding 2006, Indonesian Migrant Workers, International Coorperation, Remittance, Joint Task Force.

Abstract

Turun boniah is carried out before planting rice in the rice fields. One interesting aspect of the tradition is to go down turun boniah in Pulau Ingu village, Benai Subdistrict, apart from the fact that the tradition is still preserved and used as local wisdom by the local village community, as well as the implementation process. Seedling descent process consists of two stages, consisting of the preparation stage, and the implementation phase. Every step down there is a symbol that can be interpreted one by one. The purpose of this study was to find out the meaning of symbolic situations, products of social interaction and interpretation of tradition turun boniah  as local wisdom of the people of Pulau Ingu village, Benai District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. The method used in this study is qualitative with a symbolic interaction approach. The informants in this study were 7 people, consisting of traditional / community leaders 2 people, 2 people perpetrators and 3 people in general. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study showed that the meaning of the symbolic situation in the religious community in Ingu Island consisted of physical objects and social objects. The physical object in the boniah descent on the island of Ingu is, among others, water concoctions and tools that use the turun boniah  drop. The social object in the turun boniah  descends is the prayer and spell down . The meaning of the product social interaction, including the overall downward meaning of different perspectives from each informant. The figure is interpreted by the perpetrators as a tradition that must be preserved. The procession of turun boniah  is interpreted by traditional leaders as culture, customs that must continue to live, obedience to ancestors. The procession of turun boniah  is interpreted by the people of Pulau Ingu to have a different view on the meaning of the turun boniah . The meaning of the turun boniah  interpretation in Pulau Ingu Village includes open actions and closed actions. Closed action is related to motivation and feeling. Outdoor action actors turun boniah  include compact attitude and togetherness, as well as facial expressions of joy and happiness visible actors as well as expressions of emotional closeness between actors.

Abstract

This research was conducted at the Zanafa Pekanbaru Bookstore located at JL. HR. Subrantas metropolitan city complex (MTC) / Giant Block A 39-40 Handsome Pekanbaru Riau. The problem in this study is the achievement of the company's target where it never reaches the target of 100% and always experiences a decline in achieving sales targets at the Zanafa Pekanbaru Bookstore. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of shop atmosphere and store location on purchasing decisions at the Zanafa Pekanbaru bookstore. In this study the method used was quantitative descriptive with the SPSS program. The research samples were 100 people from a population of 60,428 obtained from calculation of Slovin formula. Data obtained from the results of the questionnaire were then processed and then tested through the SPSS 24 program. The testing of multiple linear regression analysis from this study was Y = 2.695 + 0.108X1 + 0.253X2. The research that has been done shows that the respondent's response to the store atmosphere and location of the store is in a good category while in the purchasing decision the category is quite good. While the t test that has been done shows that the variable store atmosphere and store location partially have a significant effect on purchasing decisions. The f test results show that simultaneously the store atmosphere and store location have a significant effect on purchasing decisions. While the calculation of the coefficient of determination (R2) obtained values obtained R2 (Rsquare) of 0.495 or 49.5%. This shows that the percentage contribution to the influence of the store atmosphere and store location on consumer purchasing decisions is 49.5%. While the remaining percentage which is equal to 50.5% is influenced by other variables not included in this research variable.  Keywords: Store Atmosphere, Store Location, Purchase Decision

Abstract

Competition to dominate market share makes business people to aggressively carry out service processes for their company's products or services so as not to experience a significant decline. This study aims to determine (1) Customer Perceptions of Service Quality at PT. Smeva Holiday Tour and Travel Pekanbaru. (2) To find out the Constraints in Service Quality management at PT. Smeva Holiday Tour and Travel Pekanbaru. This research is a descriptive quantitative study with respondents consisting of 50 customers who use the services of PT. Smeva Holiday Tour and Travel Pekanbaru. Determination of respondents with accidental sampling. Data collection is done by observation, questionnaires, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques used in the interval distribution method are grouping data into several categories that show a lot of data in each category and and each data is entered into two or more categories. The results of this study indicate that customer perceptions affect the quality of service provided is good. Abstract

Social problems among the people is always changing and it will continue to follow the dynamics of society itself. Not for the people of Batam City which is the entry point to the neighboring countries of Indonesia, also continues to develop, both positive and negative. As for the negative developments of which consume alcoholic beverages. While the problem of alcohol itself, it can not be denied, it is very disturbing social life. Alcoholic beverages are believed to not only harm the wearer, but also brings a very bad impact on the environment of the wearer. While at this time the spread of alcoholic beverages in the city of Batam, is no longer controlled, for example in its distribution is no longer regard the age limit users or consuming alcoholic beverages that may be negative consequences for children who later adolescence as the future generation. This study was conducted to determine the Alcoholic Beverage Control of Urban Pursuant to Rule Batam conducted by the Department of Industry and Trade of the City of Batam.Research conducted using qualitative methods. This study uses the theory of standard-setting Manullang with supervision. Determination of measurement tools, conduct assessments, conduct remedial action. In this study the technique performed is observation, interview and documentation using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques.In this study was found first, pengawsan by the Department of Trade and Industry is already quite optimal. Secondly, there are still many of his illegal circulation of alcoholic beverages which are not in accordance with local regulations. Third, the lack of public education and sellers of alcoholic beverages. Abstract

So far, the market 's sector in Pekanbaru is not maximal executed, so that still has no a great contribution to increase the region economic's growth. Traditional market can not defeat the expansion of modern markets, indeed. Whereas the traditional market is more strategic to be accessed by people in this case and also we know that traditional market is one of the reached place by a low-economic-doer which occupied in majority level. A good and professional market's management could increase the competitiveness of the traditional market and increase the economics matters. To push the professional market's management in Pekanbaru City, it needs a market's management guideline. This guideline is expecting to be a good references for the market's managers. The Purpose of this research is to know and analyse how to manage the traditional market in Pekanbaru City and also the elements which influencing that system management.This research is using a descriptive-qualitative method which it'd explicate and detail according to the facts. Then, the theory of this research is A Basic Functions of Management George R. Terry in Manullang (2008). He defined the basic functions of management are consists of Planning, Organizing, Actuating and Controlling. Datas are collected by the observation and interview. The Analyse technique is using a descriptive-qualitative method.After the research it found that the realization of system management of the traditional market in Pekanbaru City wasn't implemented well and too far from the expectation. One of the matter is because the lack of policy and the controlling on market's system management from the government and also it caused by the lack of awareness of the societies and the traders to obey the regulations about the market's activity in accordance with the regulations of law in effect. Abstract

This research aims to reviewing the policy of Strategic Patience by United States toward North Korea. The policy contained was established by Obama Administration which concluded as neither stick neither carrot. The policy is concerned to pursue the North Korea to dismantle all of the nuclear facilities as the precondition of the further talks. However, I analyzed that the policy is a big fail because leaving North Korea behind the full-control of United States even this policy was strenghtened by trilateral cooperation among South Korea and Japan. This policy supported by acumulated sanction by Security Council and United States itself. At my final conclusion of this research, United States was failed to achieved its prominent interest; denuclrization of North Korea.On an academic scope, this research is using the neorealism perspective and the theory of foreign policy. In the scope of theoretical, Forein Policy emphasized the internal problema and internal policy are giving impact to the foreign policy. Indeed, indirectly, Foreign Policy Theory also pursued the comparative study by rolling back policies at the past. By the support of this theory, this research is capable to find out the failures of Strategic Patience.The failure, instead, divided by several factor such as China Factor, the unassertive of the sanctions, the fragile of trilateral, and without neglecting the United Stated miscalculations; which made the circumstances of the failure.United States’ failures on denuclearized North Korea under Obama’s term are the divergent interest inside United Nations Security Council itself. It showed by the renewal of UNSC Resolution 2321 which reflected the China’s interest. Besides, the fail of Strategic Patience can be examined by United States was lacking its power at the region.Keyword: United States, Nuclear Disarmament, North Korea, Strategic Patience, Obama Admnistration.

Abstract

In an effort to provide public services to meet the basic needs of citizens, the policy in regional management has become the responsibility of the local government itself. It is contained in Act No. 23 of 2014 on Regional Government. Environmental issues become one of the basic aspects in an effort to create an atmosphere and order in a region, it is necessary to have cooperation with third parties, namely the interregional cooperation between the borders for the implementation of Government Affairs: a. Who has cross-regional externalities; And b. Provision of more efficient public services if jointly managed. Like urban spatial plan Pekanbaru in Pekanbaru city regulation No. 8 of 2014 About waste management. This research is intended to know the waste management in Pekanbaru City in 2014-2015. Pekanbaru has 16 Temporary Disposal Sites (TPS) scattered in a compact area of Pekanbaru consisting of 12 districts currently capable of generating 500 tons of waste / day, of about 1.3 million residents. On average, 2.6 kilograms of rubbish once every resident every day. Garbage collection of garbage is always routinely done by related parties but in running its service there is still lack and dissatisfaction of society. Pekanbaru in 2013 entered in the cleanest big city in Indonesia through Adipura award, but in fact garbage management becomes problem always updated by Local Government of Pekanbaru City, problems arise due to security and coordination from various parties in providing public service garbage problem, one of The peak is the piling up of garbage in some sub-districts and there are also strike action of officers who are not respected by third parties PT. Multi Inti Guna (PT.MIG) which does not affect the management of the areas that are not harmonious in the process of waste management budget disbursement.
