Abstract

The Batak Toba are known as a tribe that is very loyal to carry out traditional ceremonies or traditions in various activities from the past. For the Toba people, adat is part of the Batak culture to enhance their quality of life and constitute their cultural identity. The Batak Toba community in Desa Kasikan, Tapung Hulu Kab. Kampar Regency still carries out the Mangulosi Tradition, because according to their belief, this tradition has an influence on family life. This tradition of mangulosi is interpreted as the assistance of love, prayer, warmth and blessing from donations.Therefore in the Batak Toba community is considered as a medium of solidarity in the life of individuals and society. Having ulos itself has an important position in the Batak Toba community order. The purpose of this research is to study the symbolic meaning contained in the mangulosi tradition in the Batak Toba traditional marriage and to find out the changing social system in the mangulosi tradition in the Batak Toba community. The informant selection technique in this study uses a purposive sampling technique. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research method. Theories used are symbolic interaction theory, social system theory and change theory. The results of this study can be concluded that mangulosi is an ancestral tradition carried out in the context of carrying out traditional wedding ceremonies of the Batak Toba community in Kasikan Village, Tapung Hulu District. Keywords: Batak Toba Society, Mangulosi, Traditional Marriage

Abstract

This study was conducted at Kecamatan Tampan. The purpose of this research is to analyze the distribution of income of child laborers as scavengers at Kecamatan Tampan Kota Pekanbaru. The focus of this research is the social and cultural conditions of child laborers as scavengers at Kecamatan Tampan Kota Pekanbaru. The technique of determining samples by Snowball Sampling and setting the number of subject as many as 10 people. The author uses qualitative descriptive method and Instrument data is observation, interview and documentation.Research conducted, the authors found that the social and cultural conditions of child laborers as scavengers at Kecamatan Tampan Kota Pekanbaru are: State Family Child Labor, children who work as scavengers come from poor families. Child Labor, most of the children who work as scavengers, are children who are ostracized from their peers. The Workplace Child Labor Environment, most of them live in very modest homes. The Everyday Activities of Child Labor, the child who works as their scavenger collects used goods for a long period of time in a day, they work over 4 hours a day. The Education of Child Labor, most of the children who work as scavengers, are children who are in school age. Distribution of child labor income as scavengers in Kecamatan Tampan Pekanbaru City is: All Revenues For Parents, most of the income earned from scavenging is handed or handled by parents. Revenue Shares With Two Parents, some of the proceeds from the sale of second-hand goods are shared for two with his parents.Keywords: Children, Workers, Scavengers, Economy

Abstract

The Lake Maninjau area has historical, economic and social function that has important and strategic role for human development and development currently, Lake Maninjau is being heavily polluted due to the waste of Floating Net cage which has an impact on the environmental conditions in lake and economy of people in the lake area. The Environment agency that manages the environment certainly needs to apply strategic management to manage Lake Maninjau's sustainability to realize clean, sustainable, culture and sustainable lakes area. The purpose of this research is to know how management of Maninjau Lake sustainability strategy and what are the factors influencing management of Lake Maninjau Lake sustainability strategy. This research was conducted at Environment Department of Agam. The theory used in this research is Taufiqurokhman’s theory, there are some related indicators Management Strategy organization that is giving long-term direction, organizational effectiveness, prevent the emergence of problem, and involving member of organization. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research with data collection technique done through interview, observation and documentation. Selection of research informant using purposive sampling technique for Environment Department and accidental sampling technique for people and farmer of floating net cages. The result of this research is Management Strategy of manajement of Lake Maninjau preservation is still not maximum, because authority and activity in Lake Maninjau still unclear, people awareness still less in maintaining and taking care of environment in Lake Maninjau and budget to clean that lake is limited. Abstract

University of Riau is one of the State Universities in Riau, University of Riau is a State University that has locations in two places, one of which is Purnama University University of Riau which is located in Dumai City which has been in existence since 1994 and used until 2006, in In 2006, the campus activities moved in Pekanbaru City at the same time the campus was not used so it was abandoned, this study aimed, identified and explained the causes of the dysfunction of the management of the Puranama Campus in Riau University in matters of higher education. And identify and explain the obstacles in managing the Purnama University of Riau Campus in higher education matters. This study uses the theory of optimization processes in management by M. Yusuf. this study uses a qualitative approach. Data collection of interviews and documents after being collected is analyzed qualitatively. The results of the discussion showed that the first task was not carried out by the head of the Higher Education Service Institution or Chancellor of the University of Riau in the implementation of facilities to improve the quality of higher education in their work areas. the legal basis is maximally especially in the field of campus supervision and maintenance, the potential possessed by the University of Riau's Purnama Campus which cannot yet be maximized is part of the constraint, then the ability of human resources is also an obstacle related to the management of Purnama University in Riau.Keywords: management dysfunction, higher education, Purnama Campus and University of Riau

Abstract

Every human in the world has a different self concept. Self concept is all aspects of our perception of ourselves that cover physical, social, and psychological aspects that are formed because of our past experience and our interactions with others. Physically disabled is a state of disrepair or disrupted by interference or obstacles in the form of bones, muscles and joints in normal functioning. This condition can be caused by illness, accident or it can also be caused by inborn. The theory used in this research is the theory of Symbolic Interaction as the main theory and the theory of phenomenology as the supporting theory. The purpose of this study is to determine how the self concept of disabled people in Pekanbaru. This study uses qualitative method research with phenomenological approach. The data for this research gathered through interview, observation, documentation and literature study. The five informants obtained through snowball sampling. The results of this study indicate that the self concept of disabled people in Pekanbaru is positive. Although initially some physically disabled people who were not born to be disabled awkward with the changes they felt.Keyword: Self Concept, Disabled, Pekanbaru City

Abstract

This research explain about Indonesia’s interest to working together with Zoological Society of London (ZSL) in Berbak Carbon Initiative (BCI) project in Berbak National Park. Berbak National Park in Jambi is the largest conservation peat swamp forests area in Southeast Asia and entered as a Ramsar site in 1992. National Parks Berbak saving 45 million tonnes of carbon and absorptive capacity of 70 million tons CO²e. In case of damage, the area will release the greenhouse gas emissions such as carbon dioxide (CO²e) into the air amounted to 34.4 million CO2e within a period of 30 years. BCI project commit to preserve ecosystems in global warming emissions reduction program is embodied in the protection of the National Park Berbak, encourage the conservation of forests and wildlife in it, and the economic empowerment of local communities in accordance scheme REDD + program. The economic potential of the sale of forest carbon emissions in Berbak National Park is estimated at USD 167 278 020, equivalent to 1.51 trillion over 30 years or 50 billion per-year, when it traded through the "Voluntary Market" (voluntary market). Abstract

The research to do in the Open Space Science Park, University of Riau Jl. HR. Soebrantas Kampus Bina Widya Km. 12.5 Simpang Baru, Pekanbaru. The purpose of this study was to determine the activity of a visitor as well as the reasons people choose to visit the Science Park, University of Riau. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative. Intake of research subjects used was accidental sampling. Samples taken in this study amounted to 81 people. Therefore, the author will develop the concept, gathered data in the study area. Data collection techniques used were questionnaires, interviews and observation. As for the data processing techniques using means editing, coding and tabulation. Then to menganilisisnya will be collected and grouped according to their respective groups, and then processed using SPSS application and described in the form of tables and conclusion along with suggestions. Based on the implementation of the research results, visitors who come to visit to perform various activities such as recreational activities, education and economy. Visitors also utilize the facilities and existing facilities such as a lake, rides and shade trees along with seating around it. Regional Science Park, University of Riau was used as an alternative destination by the visitors, it is diebabkan by the lack of neighborhood open space natural shades Area Pekanbaru city, especially in the Panam district Handsome districts. The few things that background for why visitors choose a goal of his visit in the Science Park, University of Riau is as reasons: park atmosphere is cool, shady and leafy, the location is easily accessible, the availability of various facilities and adequate facilities, the level of comfort and safety a satisfactory and cost-effective. It can be concluded that the process of social exchange in the region. Abstract

Abstract            The research conducted at AZWA Perfume Pekanbaruwhere located in Jl. Teuku Umar No. 79, Rintis, Lima Puluh. The problem in this study is number of buyers has decreasing, percentage of target achievement has decreased.This study aims to determine the effect of reference group and slaes promotion on consumer buying interest at  AZWA Perfume Pekanbaru. In this study use quantitive descriptive with SPSS program. The population in this is are consumers at  AZWA Perfume Pekanbaru. The sampling technique chosen is slovin Formula with a sample 100 respondents. Hypothesis testing uses a simple linear analysis method and multiple analysis with result showing that reference groupand sales promotionhave a positive and significant effect on consumer buying interestat  AZWA Perfume Pekanbaru. With the calculation of the coefficient of determination (R2) reference groupon consumer buying interest the value of R square is 0,383 or 38,3% and sales promotionon consumer buying inerest the value of R square is 0,408 or 40,8% and coefficient of determination (R2) reference groupand sales promotion on consumer buying interest the value of R square is 0,480or 48,0%. This show that the reference groupand sales promotiongives an effect of  48% on consumer buying interestat AZWA Perfume Pekanbaru, while remaining 52%% is effected by other variables that are not examined in this study. Keyword: Reference Group, Sales Promotion And Consumer Buying Interest

Abstract

The pedestrian facility is one of the points of the city's transport system, the pedestrian path is a space for activities to perform and functions as a circulation space for pedestrians that are separate from the circulation of other vehicles, whether motorized or not. This pedestrian path should provide comfort for the user of the pedestrian itself when crossing it. The purpose of this pedestrian facility is to ensure the level of human security in walking. With paved pedestrian facilities that have been provided by the government of course more convenient and provide a sense of security to users to walk in the middle of dense vehicles. But the fact that there is a lot of damage that occurs to pedestrian facilities is still less attention by the relevant government. Such as broken zebra cross, bridge crossing people and sidewalks. The maintenance of facilities should always be maintained by related parties in order to maintain the existing facilities and provide security and comfort for pedestrian users. The problem in this research is how the Implementation of Regional Regulation Policy of Pekanbaru City Number 2 year 2009 about Traffic and Road Transportation (Case of Peddling Pedestrian Street of Sudirman) and Factor - what factors that hinder the implementation of the policy. The purpose of this research is to know and analyze the Implementation of Regional Regulation Policy of Pekanbaru City Number 2 Year 2009 about Traffic and Road Transportation (Case of Peddling Pedestrian Street of Sudirman). The concept of theory that the author uses is policy and policy implementation. And the theory used is toeri according to Merile S. Grindle with two variables namely policy content and policy environment. This research uses qualitative research methods with descriptive data assessment. In data collection, the authors use interviews, observation and literature study. By using key information as a source of information.The results of this study indicate that the absence of maintenance that occurred in the field that is not in accordance with the pedestrian maintenance policy listed in the Regional Regulation of Pekanbaru City No. 2 of 2009 on Traffic and Road Transport. The inhibiting factors in policy implementation of Pekanbaru City Regulation No. 2 of 2009 on Traffic and Road Transport (Case of Maintenance of Jalan Sudirman Street Pedestrian) are Resources, Communication and Financial Budget to carry out pedestrian maintenance.Keywords: Implementation, Policy, maintenance, pedestrian
