Abstract

Alcoholic drink are drinks contain ethanol produce from distillation which is produceby fermentation of grains, fruits and vegetables. The Government of Pekanbaru through the Department of Trade and Industry continues to strive to supervise the licenses for the sale of alcoholic beverages in Pekanbaru  Entertainment Venues. These efforts are state in Minister of Trade Regulation Number 20/M-DAG/PER/4/2014 concerning Control and Supervision of the Procurement, Distribution and Sales of Alcoholic Beverages. The theoretical concept used is Supervision according to Stoner, dkk., claims that the supervision process consists of four variables, namely Determination of Standards and Performance Assessment Methods, Performance Evaluation, Comparing Performance with Standards, and Taking Corrective Action. The purpose of this study is to find out how the supervision and what factors affect the Supervision of Alcoholic Beverage Sales Permit in Pekanbaru Entertainment Venues. This research used a qualitative method with descriptive data review. In collecting the data the researchers used interview, observation and documentation techniques using purposive sampling techniques as a source of information and data analysis with qualitative descriptive methods. The results of the study showed that the Supervision of Licensing on the sale of alcoholic beverages in Pekanbaru  Entertainment Venues has been carried out even though it is still not effective because lack of Humen Resources, disobedience of owners of entertainment venues to the rules and lack of coordination between agencies. Abstract

This research was conducted in the Teluk Merbau Village, Kubu District Rokan Hilir Regency. This area was chosen because the welfare level of fishing families in this community is still low and there are various characteristics of different levels of education, economic status, and employment. The purpose of this study was to look at the work ethic of fishermen in Merbau Bay District Kubu District Rokan Hilir Regency and the factors that influence it. The population in this study were fishermen in the Merbau Bay District Kubu District Rokan Hilir Regency were 136 fishermen. Sampling using simple random sampling technique using Slovin formula which obtained a sample size of 58 fishermen. Analysis of the data used is descriptive quantitative. The results of the study found that the economic condition in the Merbau Bay District Kecanatan Kubu was quite good, while the effort to improve the economy of the fishing community was to provide it with modern fishing gear. The work ethic of fishermen who are already considered good can be seen from the many fishermen who are disciplined in working, high levels of work skills, the level of work motivation of fishermen who are very sting, and high morale of the fishermen. The factors that influence the work ethic of fishermen are changing lives for the better, having a good relationship with the buyers, and having high morale. Keywords: Work Ethic and Fisherman

Abstract

Cooperatives are business entities consisting of people who organize the utilization of economic resources of their members based on family principles that aim to improve the level of members in particular and the regional community in general, thus cooperatives are the people's economic movement and the national economy teacher . Cooperatives have social character, so to obtain the remaining results of business is not the main goal. Another goal to achieved from each cooperative is how cooperatives are able to create and maintain business relationships with customers to obtain the expected profit. The ability to produce effective profits is usually referred to as Rentability.This research is a quantitative descriptive study with the aim to determine the effect of working capital (Cash Turnover, Receivable Turnover, and Inventory Turnover) on economic rentability both partially and simultaneously in the Advanced Business Palm Cooperative in the Central Left Kampar District. The results of the research conducted partially are influential Cash Turnover and accounts receivable turnover have effect on economic rentability, while inventory turnover have no effect on economic rentability. Meanwhile simultaneous cash turnover, accounts receivable turnover and inventory turnover have effect on economic rentability. Keywords: Cash Turnover, Accounts Turnover, Inventory Turnover, economic Rentability

Abstract

The aims of study are determine (1) Handling employee career development based on work experience at food and beverage service Nirwana Gardens Resort Bintan Lagoi; (2) Efforts to improve employee career development in food and beverage service of Nirwana Gardens Resort Bintan-Lagoi.The design of this research is qualitative. The subjects of this research are the key informants, the Human Resourcess Manager Department and the additional informants are Assistant Outlet Manager and Employee of food and beverage service. Data collection techniques used are observation, documentation, and in-depth interviews. Data analysis techniques refer to the Milles and Huberman (1992) concepts.The research results show the handling of employee career development based on work experience in food and beverage service of Nirwana Gardens Resort Bintan Lagoi such as Job anlargement, Job Position, Job Rotation, Downwarkmove, Externship has not been implemented maximally and is situational, s should management to handle career development based on work experience will be better Sustainable because it gives a big impact on the company and employment, bias dig deeper potentials and provide opportunities to advance in the career. And efforts to improve employee career development are (1) Career Guidance should be given to the first employee to enter the company so that from the beginning already know the direction and career goals are not utuk employees who promoted aja; (2) Employee training is only for employees who enter the shift only, so that employees who do not enter or different shift can not be an opportunity to attend the training.Keywords : Employee Career, Work Experience, Resort

Abstract

This Study aimed to analyze the semiotic meaning about cultural of Batak Toba in ToBa Dreams film with researching the dennotative meaning, connotative meaning, and Myth/Ideology according to Roland Barthes’s. In addition, this study also aimed to find out how the Batak Toba Culture is represented through the ToBa Dreams Film.The method of this study is a qualitative research. The technique of collecting data is using documentation study, observation study, library study, and online data search. The object to analyse is the scenes in ToBa Dreams film as much as five scenes.The result of this study showed that there are three meanings according to Roland Barthes’s semiotic, dennotative meaning that seen in the scenes of ToBa Dreams is representating Batak Toba through the actors/actress, literal meaning from dialogues, nature condition, Tourist attraction at Toba Lake, and monuments of the custom home and typical graves of Batak Toba. Connotative meaning in this film is formed by action of characters, the meaning of speech based on the meaning implied in the dialogue that conveyed depict the values, customs, kinship relations, moral messages, and the belief system of Batak Toba society is dominant with the teachings of Christians. The meaning of myth / ideology contained in several scenes is interpreted through literature study about batak culture that understand custom values, patrinilial system, customs, and tolerance among religious people who have became a culture among the Batak Toba people.Keywords: representation, film, toba dreams, semiotic

Abstract

Pedestrian is a sidewalk that is destined for pedestrians to enjoy the feel of urban buildings and gardens City / District. In an urban context it is usually referred to as a special room for pedestrians that serves as a means of attainment which can protect from the danger coming from motor vehicles. The sidewalks in Pekanbaru have been transformed into two-wheeled parking spaces, where street vendors, billboards and so on. Several related agencies are responsible with this matter, such as the Office of Transportation with the Municipal Police Force Unit Pekanbaru. The purpose of this study is to find out how the coordination between relevant agencies in the functioning of pedestrian and to determine what factors affect the coordination between the two related agencies.This research was conducted to know the coordination between the Department of Transportation with the Civil Service Police Unit in Functioning Pedestrian in Pekanbaru City. Using the grand theory of Fayol, Koontz and O'Donnell, in which there are 4 indicators are: 1. Cooperation in harmony, 2. Knowing each task. 3. Good communication, 4. Meetings through meetings. This research uses qualitative descriptive method. The technique of collecting through observation, interview and documentation with key informant as source of information and technique of snowball as source of data validity.The result of the research stated that the coordination that has been done by the Transportation Agency with the Pekanbaru City Police Precinct Police Unit has not been optimally can be seen from 4 indicators namely communication, cooperation, division of tasks and meeting meetings conducted not only after the violation but must be done for supervisory control in the pedestrian . In addition, supporting facilities and infrastructure should be sufficient to create optimal performance between the two agencies. Facilities and infrastructure should also be supported by potential human resources (HR) so that everyone knows their duties and functions in order to avoid overlap in the execution of tasks. If all this goes well, then pedestrian will serve as a place for pedestrians.Keywords: Coordination, Pedestrian

Abstract

Vespa extreme is a symbol of freedom in modification and creation art which combined things that useless with vespaso that become anunique phenomena. This vespa extreme rider known because their appearance look dingy, seedy, and their unique life style. This appearance make people afraid and have a negative perspective to them. This research purpose to know motive of vespa extreme user included meaning of vespa, symbols and so things in vespa extreme and about its rider communication experience in use vespa extreme.This research is using qualitative with phenomenology approach by Alfred Schutz and interaction symbolic theory George . H. Mead. This research have 7 people as informant. Sampling technique using snowball technique.Data collection with participant observation, documentation, and deep interview. Data analysis is interactive technique included 3 phase, data collection, data interpretation, and conclucion.The results showing that motive of vespa extreme riders join this community is the past motive like modification hobby and using scooter that have been long exist in their self, element of art, unique and space of freedom in creation. And future motive include solidarity, looking for friends and expand brotherhood as media for freedom in creation. The meaning of vespa extreme for its user is media to express their self freely, self identity, and vespa extreme as media communication to deliver message and satire. Besides, the meaning of things in that like flag and plastic is use as sign in the road. Bottles,spare tire, and many more for additional tools is the variation modification. Communication experience that they gained is expand brotherhood, become famous, and also some not fun experience like thought as criminal, homeless, useless, get caught by the police, be treated unreasonable, and often gets shout also thrown by other pedestrians.

Abstract

This research attempts to explain and describe the role of Food and Agriculture Organization in overcoming the food crisis in Ethiopia. As an international organization which focus in food and agriculture, FAO has been involved in dealing with food crisis in Ethiopia as a result of  uncertain climate change and poor environmental management. The researcher used the concept of international organization and food security to analyze the role of FAO as a facilitator to maintain the stability of food access by increase production by utilizing natural resources, conducting community empowerment training programs and as initiator to got cooperation with states, international organization, or other actor to guarantee the fulfillment of food availability.Data of this research was obtained from the books, journals, official documents and websites that support the hypothesis. The author used interest group level analyze and this research is using Pluralism perspective and international organization theory. This reasrch also using concept of food crisis. In this study, the authors found that FAO provided assistance to Ethiopia in the form of policy making, natural resource management, land administration, crop and livestock production and agribusiness development. FAO also provides assistance in the form of funds used to implement 3 priority focus areas for CPF. Abstract

This research is in the background by migrants from Pacitan Regency who are in Pekanbaru City. migrants from Pacitan district incorporated Organization Anak Rantau Pacitan in Pekanbaru City in the activities of their organization show the form of social solidarity among members of the organization, in life in the city of Pekanbaru. With the problem formulation to know the role of Organization Anak Rantau Pacitan to the members of the organization and to know the role of social solidarity created in Organization Anak Rantau Pacitan in Pekanbaru City. The theory used is the theory of social groups, and Durkheim Emile theory of social solidarity. The research uses descriptive qualitative research method so that the emerging analysis is the words arranged in expanding text. With the technique of taking research subjects based on Pourposive Sampling is the technique of selecting informants based on certain considerations. From the results of research in the field can be seen that Organization Anak Rantau Pacitan has a role as a family in the city of Pekanbaru. Organization Anak Rantau Pacitan as a social event to the home village, as a controller and adaptation in a new environment, and as a pioneer of attitude adjustment in the new environment. From the social solidarity created among the members of the organization is the nature of mechanical solidarity characterized by low division of labor, strong collective consciousness, dominant repressive relations, the importance of consensus on the normative pattern, the relative interdependence is low and rural. The result of the establishment of social solidarity among Organization Anak Rantau Pacitan members is the success of building the economic life, the success of maintaining ethnic identity, the success of creating social solidarity among fellow community originating from Pacitan Regency in Pekanbaru CityKeywords: immigrants, social groups, social solidarity

Abstract

This research aims to explain how to implementation on programme ILO (International Labour Organization) in resolving the issue of child labour of defence in 2010 – 2014. Child labor is a problem that has long faced Indonesian, where children under the age of 18 are forced to work to meet the economic needs and various other factors. In this case, Child labour is children who are exploited to work with neither time nor even school and work in hazardous sectors for their safety. To face these issues, The Indonesian government has been cooperating with the ILO-IPEC. There are a lot of efforts have been made by the Indonesian government and the ILO, but child labour has always existed. In 2010-2014, the ILO has implemented the program on erasing Child Labour through Education.Data of this research was obtained from books, journals, articles, official documents and websites that support the hyphothesis. The author used Pluralism, and System and group level analyze. The theory used in this research concist of International Organizations by Tengku May Rudi.The result of this research shows that there is the implementation of the ILO program on overcoming Child Labor through Education in 2010 - 2014 runs well or in the sense of being implemented. This can be seen from the results or the number of child laborers who experienced a decline in 2015 after the implementation of the program for 4 years. Education is one of the interventions that are considered good enough in addressing the problem of child labor. but it is just a paradigm that grows in the community that works at an early age is good for future preparation. Therefore, awareness and understanding to the community about the child labours are really needed.Keywords: Child Labor, ILO - Indonesian, IPEC, Education
