Abstract

Instagram is a social media which is now a multifunctional media, for example as a medium for entertainment, business, culinary, travel and so forth. The diversity of functions of Instagram is a way for audiences to satisfy their needs, so that media users use Instagram with different goals, one of which is the need for entertainment. This study aims to determine the level of motives for using the Instagram account @ jonan_55 and the level of satisfaction obtained by followers in getting entertainment and measuring the gap of satisfaction (Gratification Discrepancy) between the motives for using an Instagram account @ jonan_55 (GS) and the satisfaction received in getting entertainment (GO) .This research uses a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. The theory used in this research is Use and Gratification which sees the audience using mass media based on certain motives. The sample in this study amounted to 400 respondents and the technique of determining the sample using random sampling. The data analysis technique in this study uses a gap analysis (discrepancy) between motives and entertainment satisfaction on the Instagram account @ jonan_55. The data obtained is the result of processing SPSS 21.The results of this study based on the gap analysis showed that out of the 10 needs items offered to respondents, all were able to be fulfilled by the Instagram account @ jonan_55, but dominated by 6 items in the low category and one item in the high category, and only 3 item needs were in the medium category. And a comparative analysis of the total mean Gratification Sought (GS) value of 31.040 is smaller than the total mean Gratification Obtained (GO) value of 29,940 with a difference of 1.1 means the mean GSmean GO, meaning that there is no large gap between the motives for using the Instagram account @ jonan_55 and satisfaction of followers in getting entertainment. So overall it shows that the Instagram account @ jonan_55 is not maximized in meeting the entertainment needs of its followers. Keyword: Motif Penggunaan, Akun Instagram @jonan_55, Kepuasan Hiburan

Abstract

Tuan Di Bangarna rubbish bank (TDB) is one of non-government rubbish banks in Pekanbaru City which has been operating since 2018. The TDB rubbish bank is a dry waste management system that involves the public to play an active role as a customer by collecting, sorting and distributing rubbish to the market to be converted into money so that it will has economic value and benefits to the community. As a business entity that operates as a rubbish bank itself is active in educating new knowledge about waste and fostering a sense of responsibility to protect the environment for the community. The purpose of this research was to determine the forms of environmental communication, environmental communication media and the environmental communication barriers of the Tuan Di Bangarna rubbish bank in inviting people to care about the environment through saving activities in Pekanbaru.This study used qualitative research methods. The research informants totaling of nine people according to the criteria selected using a purposive technique. Data collection techniques consist of interviews, observation and documentation. While the data analysis technique uses descriptive analysis according to Miles and Huberman. The data validity checking technique uses an extension of participation and triangulation.The result of this study indicate that environmental communication conducted by the TDB rubbish bank implements a form of interpersonal communication, group communication, public communication and mass media communication. TDB rubbish bank also uses communication media in printed media in the form of banners and brochures, visual media using photos and images, audio media in the form of telephone and has its own official jingle, and audio visual media using internet media such as websites and social media. The barriers experienced by TDB in carrying out its environmental communication activities are in the form of obstacles from the delivery process, physical barriers, semantic barriers, social barriers and other barriers in the form of barriers in procedural and time barriers. Keyword: Environmental Communication, Rubbish Bank, Environment Care

Abstract

 Micro, Small, And Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are one of the backbone of national’s economy. There are obstacles to development MSMEs in Pekanbaru City, such as low quality of human resources on MSMEs, and the weakness of MSMEs understanding in business license. This research aimed to analyse how much effort the Cooperatives, Small, and Medium Enterprises Office of Pekanbaru City to empower society through MSMEs, and to know the inhibiting factors to empower citizens. The research based on Strategy Of Society Empowerment theory by Kartasasmita. The qualitative research method used to collect data by interview, observation, and documentation and use a purposive sampling techniques. The data analysis techniques use descriptive qualitative. The result of this reasearch is that efforts in several aspects about society empowerment by Cooperatives Small And Medium Enterprises Office of Pekanbaru City has been done but it is still not maximal enough. The recommendations in this research for Cooperatives Small And Medium Enterprises Office of Pekanbaru City to increase the quantity of human resources, so it can be reach all of MSMEs in Pekanbaru City, to give supports to MSMEs, and for MSMEs to apply the business license as an empowerment access. Keywords: Strategy, Society Empowerment.

Abstract

The tittle of this research is “Religious Ritual Ratibul Haddad and Sholawat in the Society SP 1 Makmur Sejahtera Village Of Gunung Sahilan District Of Kampar Regency”the research was conducted in the village of Makmur Sejahtera of Gunung Sahilan district of Kampar regency. The aim of this research  are to find out the function of the Ratibul Haddad and Sholawat for the assembly members and the benefits for the users on certain ocassios, as well as sequence of the event. The method used for this research is descriptive qualitative, a method of research discussions which is presented and analyzed in the form of words (description) with qualitative appoarch. This research is also supported by the use in-depth interviews with the interviewers (informants) who have been previously decided by the researcher. Therefore , the results of the interviewers provide information to support the validity of the research findings. Based of the research findings, this ritual consists of a number of important things which are the function of the Ratibul Haddad and Sholawat for the assembly members and the users on certain ocassions. The Ratibul Haddad and Sholawat ritual is held once a week. The ritual statrs at 8 p.m or after the isya’ prayer until it is done. The Function of the Ratibul Haddad and Sholawat ritual for the assembly members its a mean to generate and strengthen their love for Allah SWT and prophet Muhammad SAW. Furthermore, the function of the Ratibul Haddad and Sholawat ritual for the users on certain occassions is to teach the innocent soul to always remember and love Allah SWT an prophet Muhammad SAW. The event cosinst of apening, hadhiyah, dzikir ratib al-haddad, sholawat, recittion of maulid dibaa’i, preaching, mahallul qiyam, prayer and closing. Keywords : Ritual, Ratib al-Haddad, Sholawat, Majelis

Abstract

PT Herbalife is a company with a fitness solution that also has a business opportunity in it. Multi level marketing (MLM) marketing system. The way to communicate from the seller to the consumer is the first thing that is seen in changing the attitude of the prospective customer so that it will create comfort and of course induce a change in attitude from the consumer. This study aims to find out how Herbalife's personal selling, sales promotion, and word of mouth strategies in maintaining consumer loyalty in Pekanbaru. Therefore, the authors are interested in seeing how the marketing communication strategy that is done by Herbalife in maintaining consumer loyalty, amid the competition of nutritional products that are very many in Pekanbaru. This research uses a qualitative method, namely the collection of data obtained based on the reality of the data in the field through observation, interviews, and documentation of research subjects are 4 Herbalife informants and 4 supporting informants selected using a purposive technique. To analyze the results of this study using interactive data analysis techniques, while the technique of checking the validity of the data through extended participation, increased perseverance, and triangulation. Based on the results of the writer's observation and interviews in the field, Herbalife Pekanbaru uses their marketing communication strategies namely personal selling, sales promotion and word of mouth to maintain consumer loyalty. The results of this study indicate that Herbalife's marketing communication strategy in maintaining consumer loyalty in Pekanbaru using personal sales, sales promotions and word of mouth communication. The marketing communication strategy in the form of personal selling by Herbalife Pekanbaru is more to an approach that uses interpersonal communication which emphasizes more on a personal approach that will eventually lead to repeated sales and purchases. Marketing communication strategies in the form of sales promotion conducted by Herbalife Pekanbaru by providing promotions can create loyal customers with limited edition gifts and certain qualifications with free holiday gifts which will also increase purchases so that consumers increasingly love the product. Marketing communication strategy in the form of word of mouth by Herbalife Pekanbaru because word of mouth can make these consumers also recommend to others because Herbalife has a very good product that can meet the needs and desires of its consumers.  Keyword: Marketing Communication Strategy, Herbalife Pekanbaru, Consumer Loyalty

Abstract

Implementation of promotion is efforts conduted by company in order to advising, informing about their product and company is good in te form of service and also product of finished goods middle of social life, consumer of client, so that the product become recognized and used by costumer with all the form of amenity and advantage facility of given promotion. This research conducted at Sapadia hotel Rokan Hulu, at Tuanku Tambusai street. The purpose of this research is to implementation of promotion at Sapadia hotel Rokan Hulu. In this research is methodologies used by descriptive, sample used by that visitor of Sapadia hotel Rokan Hulu and as source of information is sales and marketing manager. Data collecting is through interview, observation, questioner and documentation. From result implementation of promotion conducted by Sapadia hotel Rokan Hulu convering advertisement activity advertising, personal selling, sales promotion, merchandising and public relation, expressing that the promotion activity be at very good.  Keywords : Implementation, Promotion, Hotel

Abstract

The research was conducted in Simalinyang village, Kampar Distric. The purpose of this study is to know the knowledge of people/patients about diseases and to know knowing the background of the people choose to come to traditional treatment of fractures. The focus topic of this research is knowing the community/patient knowledge about the disease. The samples in this study amounted to 5 people. The authors use qualitative methods and use the Accidental Sampling retrieval technique. Data instruments are observations, interviews and documentation. From the research conducted, the authors found that all research subjects or people in Simalinyang village generally know well the conformity of bone fractures with drugs used by herbalists. Research finds that not all research subjects or communities know the types of fractures experienced. From research conducted, only one person of research subject knows about the types of fractures. Researchers found that all research subjects gained healing from traditional medicine in approximately three months.  The traditional treatment of fractures carried out research subjects, the cost of treatment is set based on the type of fractures. In addition, patients can treat the cost of treatment. The patient has an emotional attitude with the shamans who treat it. That is, from hereditary family of patients already have treatment in bone fractures. Abstract

Environmental Ambassador is a representation of young people who are expected to be able to become influencers in the environmental field. The 1st Runner Up of Environmental Ambassador 2018-2020 has an independent-individual work program namely the Sahabat Sungai Pekanbaru. The existence of the Environmental Ambassador program is expected to be able to assist the Department of Environment and Cleanliness (DLHK) of Pekanbaru City in overcoming problems and campaigning for the environmental love movement in Pekanbaru to the community, especially the younger generation through environmental communication. Therefore this study aims to determine the environmental communication planning of the Environmental Ambassador as a communicator in the environmental protection program "Sahabat Sungai Pekanbaru", know the implementation of the activities of the Environmental Ambassador and determine the obstacles of the Environmental Ambassador in carrying out the environmental conservation program "Sahabat Sungai Pekanbaru.”               This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach with a technique to determine the research subject, namely purposive. The author uses data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The number of informants as many as seven people according to criteria that have been determined through purposive. The data analysis technique in this study uses the Miles and Huberman Model and the data validity checking technique is the extension of participation and triangulation.               The results showed that the environmental communication carried out by the Environmental Ambassador in carrying out the environmental protection program "Sahabat Sungai Pekanbaru" carried out by the Environmental Ambassador required communication planning. The plan consists of analyzing the problem, analyzing the audience, formulating goals, developing messages, planning media production, planning management and monitoring and evaluation. In addition, the implementation of environmental communication activities from the "Sahabat Sungai Pekanbaru" is a river clean action and education to the community. Abstract

This study aims to make Rural Tour Packages based on tourism potential in Koto Sentajo Tourism Village of Kuantan Singingi Regency.This study used a qualitative method with descriptive approach, subjects of this study is Culture Tourism Office of Youth and Sports Kuantan Singingi, Koto Sentajo Tourism Village manager, owner of Rumah Godang and visitors. The data is collected by a study of documents, observation, interview, documentation.The result showed that Koto Sentajo village has tourism potential that displays cultural wisdom and life of rural communities. The cultural attraction in the village of Koto Sentajo is, Rumah Godang. Accommodation used by tourists is Rumah Godang as homestay. The tour package facility is handled directly by the tour guide. Accessibility to Koto Sentajo village is relatively good, The availability of transportation to enter the village of Koto Sentajo quite easy. Abstract

Many nations have developed their potency and capacity of space science and technology. This happened due to the assumption of Space as neutral territory and it is free to be explored. Moreover, as its nature that still provides mystery. International Space Station (ISS) then created to accommodating nations curiosity related to science and technology of space. ISS is a laboratory in Earth Orbit. It’s Zero Gravity condition that makes it ideal to conduct a lot of research that could not be on Earth which have a lot of benefit for man. ISS is made by international cooperation of United States of America, Canada, Japan, Russia and Europe Union. America indeed is the initiator of ISS. Through this research, it will be identified deeply rationalization of America behind its contribution to ISS building.This research is an explanative research which intends to explain phenomenon or issue in International Relations. Library Research method is used through primary and secondary sources from Books, Website, and Journals that mostly obtained from NASA’s and USA’s Government.This research as well would explain linkages of independent and dependent variable so the result of the research could be understood.
