Abstract

This research aims to explain the spillover problems in the border area of Indonesia, especially East Kalimantan which became one of the most alarming areas affected by the spillover of foreign broadcasts. Spillover broadcasts Malaysia is the most dominant of 98% of radio and television frequencies in the East Kalimantan border area in Nunukan, all people on the East Kalimantan border are so used to enjoying Malaysian television broadcasts that it is feared that if it keeps happening it will lead to erosion of the values and spirit of nationalism.This research uses the theory of liberalism in international relations and is supported by the level of state analysis and the concept of national interest. The formulation of all arguments, facts, and theories in this paper uses qualitative research. The focus of this research is the Indonesian Government's strategy to tackle spillover problems in the border area of East KalimantanResearchers have formulated an answer-hypothesis that reveals the fact that since 2003 spillover has been discussed in a forum known as Joint Commitee Communication, until 2014 Indonesia-Malaysia bilateral relationship is increasing. Coupled with the strategy of the Indonesian government to make the border area into the main page of the Unitary Republic of Indonesia. The Joint Committee Communication Forum is held every once a year, in 2012 spillover problems in east kalimantan become the main topic because 98% of Indonesian orbit slots in Nunukan are controlled by Malaysia. After this problem became the government's attention, the agreement between the two countries increased the formulation of cooperation and coordination, so the Joint Committee on Communication forum became an effective bilateral aspect to overcome spillover.Keywords: Spillover, National Interest, Bilateral Relations, Joint Committee on Communication, Influence

Abstract

The promotion is part of the marketing activities i.e. convince, persuade, inform, explain, and remind the product either goods or services. The implementation of the promotion done by making the product more attractive to the hotel and is known by the prospective customer, so that they are more interested in stay or buy other products. This research uses descriptive quantitative methods to address the problem. For research purposes, first used the technique of triangulation, and for the purpose of both a descriptive statistical techniques used. The samples in the were 120 respondents, who were teken by using stratified random sample. While data collection techniques in the study use observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The results of the research implementation of Promotion through Social Media in Swiss-Belhotel Harbour Bay Batam Province of Riau Islands is the maintainer uses 2 types of social media i.e. facebook fanspage and instagram. Promotional mix or sub-variable on the promotion through the media soisal divided into advertising and public relations. Overall, the responses of the respondents against the implementation of promotion through social media conducted by the Swiss-Belhotel Harbour Bay Batam has done well.Keywords: Social Media, public relations, advertising, promotions

Abstract

Globalization marked the entrance of the health security issues that become a common threat. Global health security underlies the current framework for global preparedness and response to emerging infectious diseases. One of the infectious diseases that became the world's anxiety is tuberculosis. Therefore, as an international organization, The Global Fund helps by providing grant aid which then allocated for the implementation of tuberculosis prevention program in Indonesia. This study was created to explain the Global Fund motivation to help Indonesia in overcoming the spread of tuberculosis.This study sources was obtained by reviewing the literature either from books, journals, theses, reports, written interview and internet. In this paper, the authors use a globalist perspective with the theory of international organizations. The author uses the level of analysis of individual groups as actors in international relations. This study uses qualitative research methods explanative.In the writting it’s found that the Global Fund helped Indonesia in overcoming the spread of tuberculosis because Indonesia is included in the category of low midle income country and country with a large number of tuberculosis sufferers. Besides that, Global Fund helps Indonesia since it is an implementation of the Kyushu-Okinawa G8 Summit 2000, the UN General Assembly: Declaration of Commitment on HIV / AIDS in June 2001, and the 27th G8 Summit 2001 in Genoa.Keywords: Globalization, Health Security, Global Fund, Indonesia, Tuberculosis

Abstract

PT. Nuskin Pekanbaru is a Multi Level Marketing (MLM) group in which there are a lot of members joined, but the people's perception of the bad MLM makes members who have joined feel hesitant to continue this business, the Senior Brand Director continues to be persuasive to keep members who have joined. The purpose of this research is to find out the persuasive communication used, persuasive communication techniques, the media used to persuade, and to find out what inhibiting factors experienced by Nuskin members in maintaining Downline Brand Representative in Nuskin Pekanbaru.This study used qualitative research methods. The study was conducted at the NUSKIN office, Sudirman business center Jl. Jendral sudirman, Tangkerang selatan, Pekanbaru City. The selection of informants was carried out using a purposive technique. The informants of this research are the Presidential Director at Nuskin Pekanbaru, one Senior Brand Director at Nuskin Pekanbaru, and two Brand Representatives at Nuskin Pekanbaru. The technique of collecting the data are used observation, interview, and documentation. While the validity of the data that researchers use is to extend participation and triangulation.The results showed that, in persuasive communication, the members of the Senior Brand Director used to maintain the Downline Brand representative at Nuskin Pekanbaru were more face-to-face so that they could immediately see the expressions of the Downline that was persuasive. As well as using four techniques namely Putting it up to you technique, Bandwagon technique, Say it with flower technique and Reassurance technique. In addition, members of Nuskin Pekanbaru also use the media namely social media Whatsapp and also the ClickMeeting application. The barriers experienced in persuading Downline Brand Representatives are disturbances based on their nature, namely distance.

Abstract

The development of nature tourism or tourism object of Kepalo Banda by Budparpora Office of Kabupaten Lima Puluh Kota is carried out through planned activities, ie tourism tourism development activities, tourism destination development (improvement and maintenance of tourism facilities and infrastructure), and partnership development through local community role so as to increase tourist visits. However, the development effort of Kepalo Banda tourism object has not been run as planned work plan, where the achievement of tourist visit has decreased by 2015 compared to the previous year.This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive method in describing the results of research. The research instrument used refers to the theory of organizational performance proposed by Moeheriono that the performance is the achievement of the implementation of activities that poured through strategic planning (Renstra) of an organization. Data collection techniques include, interviews, observation and documentation studies.The results of research performance of Budparpora Service Office of Lima Puluh Kota Regency in the effort of development of Kepalo Banda tourism object in Harau sub district has not run optimally, where not yet the advancement of information and communication technology (ICT) in marketing and promotion development and not yet supported by the availability of facilities and infrastructure in the development of tourist sites, such as maps of the area, boats, and water tourism facilities or river cruises. In addition, the partnership development activities are carried out through the management of tourist objects by villages, but not yet accompanied by training or empowerment to the community in the management of tourist objects, where there is no companion of tourists (guide), and information service location of natural attractions.Keywords: Performance, Tourism Development, Travel Destinations, Traveler

Abstract

Motivation is a condition that moves staff to be able to achieve the goals that havebeen determined. Based of theory Hergberz, a motivation influenced of motivatorfactor and hygiene factor. Therefore, the authors are interested to examine aboutwork motivation of staff sales & marketing department in Turi Beach ResortBatam.The sample used in this research is all staff of sales and marketing in TuriBeach Resort Batam which amounted to 8 people by using census samplingtechnique. This research uses quantitative descriptive method to categorize thedata then compiled by using frequency. And for data collection techniques in thisresearch using interviews, observation and questionnaires. By using Likert scalaas a measuring tool.Based on the result of research obtainted on work motivationof staff sales & marketing department in Turi Beach Resort Batam have highwork motivation. Abstract

This research is the study of international relations, especially the international political economy that will discuss the efforts of the State Owned Enterprises (SOEs) into a regional actor in Vietnam through PT Semen Indonesia in 2012. The move to realize the policy of SOE Minister Dahlan Iskan will encourage SOEs moves to scale world class company.The authors need to retrieve data from the journal, official documents, books, and intenet to analyze the efforts of state-owned enterprises into a regional actor in Vietnam through PT Seman Indonesia in 2012. The theoretical framework that I use in research is Neoliberal Perspective, Level of Analysis Group and trade theory international of the Heckscher-Ohlin (HO) and the Role Theory of Petter Evans.Implementation of PT Semen Indonesia embodied as a company with the scale of a world class company is doing good corporate governance and establish Semen Indonesia Center of The Champs to improve the performance of employees who are ready to compete. Abstract

Economic growth is one of them is marked by the growing world of business in all fields. One of the efforts to expand employment is by developing the Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) sector. The importance of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that grow in the community can help and show higher resilience and become a buffer of community life. In this case the researcher focuses on marketing strategy of SMEs Gaharu Plaza Indonesia in increasing product sales. This study aims to find out marketing communication strategy implemented by Garuda Plaza Indonesia based on the implementation of marketing communication consisting of sales face to face, sales promotion, direct marketing,public relation conducted. This research was conducted at Gaharu Plaza Indonesia Pekanbaru. This research uses descriptive qualitative method, with purposive technique. In this study selected 1 person from the director, 1 person from the vice director, 1 person from the public relations division and 5 informants from the selected consumer using accidental sampling technique. Data collection techniques used were interviews, observation and documentation. Based on the research that has been done, it is known that marketing communication communication strategy implemented by Garuda Plaza Indonesia SMEs include face-to-face sales conducted SMEs Gaharu Plaza Indonesia with prospective customers at outlets and outside the outlet. Sales promotion is to provide free products and get a discount. Direct marketing directly conducted by SMEs Gaharu Plaza Indonesia by using the phone directly provide information to consumers. Community relations activities conducted by SMEs Gaharu Plaza Indonesia in increasing product sales is to promote products, establish good relationships to consumers and other external parties.Keyword: Marketing Communication Strategy, Product, Small And Medium Enterprises (Smes)

Abstract

The rapid development of development in Dumai City is one of the characteristics of advanced cities, the more rapid development that occurs will lead to new problems that arise, namely the problem of traffic congestion and congestion, so the need for traffic impact analysis to answer the problems of rapid development, in Dumai City, the problem of traffic impact analysis has not been resolved because the Department of Transportation of Dumai City as an implementor has not been able to carry out and resolve problems regarding traffic impact analysis, all hotels in Dumai City do not have reliable permission, and there is also no active action from the Effectivieness problems that happened. The theory used in this study is the theory of George C. Edwards III's Policy Implementation, namely: (1) Achievement of Objectieves, (2) Integration, (3) Adaptation,. Qualitative descriptive research method. The informants in this study were 1 (one) Traffic Sector Executing Unit, 2 (two) developers / hotel parties who did not yet have an official permit. Data collection techniques in this study are by interview, observation (direct observation), literature study and documentation using purposive sampling method as a source of information and data analysis. The results of this study indicate that the operation is not reliable in Dumai City, due to lack of socialization and reliable information, there is no strict sanctions against hotel developers / businessmen regarding the issue of reliable permits.Keywords: Effectiveness, Organizing, Andal

Abstract

The development of the internet makes a lot of online media have emerged and are increasingly popular among the people.New lifestyle offered internet marketing online, one of the online media site that provides marketing services of goods is OLX.co.id (Exchange Online), in which people in Pekanbaru using the media as a means of buying and selling used goods. The purpose of this study is to find out the motives of the users of online media OLX in marketing used goods, meaning OLX users of online media in the marketing of used goods, and the communication process OLX users of online media in the marketing of junk in Pekanbaru.In this study the authors used a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques are grouped through observation, interviews and documentation. Informants in this study of 10 people were taken by purposive sampling techniques, respectively 5 5 sellers and buyers of used goods online OLX mediated. Interactive data analysis model the researchers use to describe the results of research into techniques for data analysis and data validity checking researchers used a technique extension of participation and triangulation.The results showed that the motive OLX users of online media in the marketing of junk in the city of Pekanbaru is because motive motive convenience, comfort motif and motif profitable. Meanwhile, in order to motive security, finance, and low prices. Then the meaning of online media OLX by users in marketing junk OLX significantly positive that can bring together between sellers and buyers, OLX makes it easy to sell and buy used, OLX as a source of information goods. While the negative meanings which can OLX fraud. Furthermore, the communication process OLX users of online media in the marketing of junk in the city of Pekanbaru is advertising, feedback and transactions. The nice thing is to feel fun, quality is good stuff, quickly sold out and a lot of users. While the unpleasant things that seem indifferent, annoyed, and the clan is not appropriate.Key word : Motif, online media, marketing
