Abstract

The city of Batam is a city with a geographical location that is directly neighboring to Malaysia and Singapore, thus encouraging the Riau Islands provincial government to provide various facilities and infrastructure such as hospitality. A large number of hotels make hotel management compete with each other in providing good services to their customers. In this case the Travelodge Hotel takes careful consideration so that the price set does not cause a loss for the company. This research aims to determine the pricing strategy of the rooms and to find out the methods in determining the price of rooms in the Travelodge Hotel in Batam City. Based on the method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method to analyze the problems collected by the writer through interviews, observations, and documentation with the management of Travelodge Hotel Batam City. Based on the data analysis, the selection of strategies and methods must adjust the existing market conditions because this is very influential in determining the price of Travelodge Batam City Hotel rooms.Keywords: Price, Strategy, Method, Hotel

Abstract

The background of this research is due to the importance of maintaining local wisdom to maintain the value of social capital values as well as maintaining mutual relations between humans and nature in the production process carried out collectively, for example in the management of traditional land and sago farming. The purpose of this study was to determine the existence of local wisdom in sago farming in Sungai Tohor Village. This research was conducted in Sungai Tohor Village, Tebing Tinggi Timur District, Kepulauan Meranti District. The population in this study was 64 sago farmers. The results of the study revealed that the existence of local wisdom in sago farming in Sungai Tohor Village was in the medium category as much as 67.19%, then those carrying out local wisdom in the low category were 17.19%, and those who were high in carrying out local wisdom up to this research data. only 15.63% of the 64 sago farmers were sampled. Abstract

The purpose of conducting this research was to know Kabupaten Karimun local government coordination of prevention of trafficking in persons in 2017-2018. The main problem found in this research is the difficulty of preventing people who want to get a more decent life by working abroad because they have been given the idea of having high wages, then the difficulty of opening jobs with high salaries such as abroad. The theory used in this research was local government, supervision, government coordination, and human trafficking. This research used analytical descriptive method with qualitative research type. The type of data used in this research was primary data and secondary data generated through the results of direct interviews with informants who knew and understood the problems in the field, documentation and observation.Based on the explanation above, it can be concluded that the relationship that affected the implementation Kabupaten Karimun local government coordination of doing prevention of trafficking in persons is carried out on several interrelated factors, such were planning, communication, direction and control.In addition, there were factors hampered coordination of prevention of trafficking in persons, such were low levels of education, easy trust with the invitation of people about the lure of large salaries, Kabupaten Karimun have few job opportunities, and Kabupaten Karimun local government coordination of prevention of trafficking in persons in 2017-2018. Keywords: Coordination, Prevention of Trafficking, Local Government.

Abstract

The market revitalization program is a mandate from Indonesian President Joko Widodo to the Indonesian Ministry of Trade. The People's Market Revitalization Program is one form of the Indonesian Ministry of Trade's commitment to improve the competitiveness of the people's market, increase the welfare of traders through increasing turnover, support the smooth logistics and distribution of materials needed by the community and encourage the strengthening of domestic markets in an era of global competition that is increasingly wide open . Nagari Rao-Rao Market is one of the Nagari markets in Tanah Datar District which received assistance from the Special Allocation Fund in the assignment of market development for the 2018 fiscal year.This study aims to describe the market revitalization program in Nagari Rao-Rao Sungai Tarab District, Tanah Datar District, West Sumatra Province in 2018. This study uses a qualitative approach. The research location was Nagari Rao-Rao Market, Sungai Tarab District, Tanah Datar District, West Sumatra Province. Data sources in this study are informants and documents. Data collection techniques are done by documentation and interviews. While the data analysis technique is done by qualitative analysis of a descriptive type.The results of this study indicate that there are 3 stages of revitalization, namely physical intervention, economic rehabilitation, and social/institutional revitalization. Physical intervention which is a stage which includes physical repair of Nagari Rao-Rao market building which used to not have complete facilities after being revitalized now has quite complete facilities. Furthermore, economic rehabilitation, after the Nagari Rao-Rao market was carried out revitalization was able to improve the economy of the community and could increase Nagari's income. And the social/institutional revitalization of the election of market leaders is carried out directly through Nagari deliberations. Factors influencing the market revitalization program are, market revitalization budget, communication and human resources.Keywords: Program, Revitalization and Nagari Market.

Abstract

Especially by paying attention to the economic, social and environmental concepts. The purpose of this study is to find out how the sustainability of the City without Slums (KOTAKU) program in Pekanbaru City and to determine the inhibiting factors for the sustainability of the City of Slums (KOTAKU) program in Pekanbaru City. This type of research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data collection obtained both primary and secondary data collected through interviews, observations and documentation and then analyzed so that conclusions can be drawn from the research conducted. The results of this study found that the sustainability of the City without Slums (KOTAKU) program in Pekanbaru City continued in 2019 and continued in 2020.Keywords: Sustainable Development, KOTAKU Program,Partisipation  Society

Abstract

In the 2019 elections, Viva.co.id provided a politainment sub-channel aimed at millennial readers. Even though the 2019 election is a combination of the legislative and presidential elections, the media, including Viva.co.id, highlight the presidential elections as well as in presenting political news. Then, how about the news of politainment of president and vice president candidates in the 2019 Presiden Elections at www.viva.co.id? This research uses quantitative research methods with Gamson and Modigliani framing analysis. So that the analysis of the data was dissected to find out the framing and reasoning device that formed the core packaging of the news of politainment of the president and vice president candidates in the 2019 Presidential Election at www.viva.co.id. In addition, Media Ecology Theory is also used to understand the environment created by Viva.co.id as an online media that has the tagline # 1Newstainment. The results of this research are the news of politainment of the president and vice president candidates in the 2019 Presidential Election on www.viva.co.id packed with framing tools in the headline and supported with metaphorical style, interesting phrases, connotative depictions of explanations and visual illustrations in the contents of news texts. All elements of the framing device are in the news presented by illustrating the attractive humanist side of the candidates. The framing device is supported by the reasoning device as the idea of news justification. Reasoning device are packed with cause-effect explanations, moral messages and framing effects found in the contents of news texts. Packaging news with reasoning tools makes the humanist side of the candidates into something that is true and reasonable because it is in accordance with human values in politicians. The two tools in the Gamson and Modigliani framing analysis produced three main components which explained that Viva.co.id as an online media is a media environment that provides information and communication to the people of Indonesia to influence the way of thinking, feeling, and acting. Abstract

The rapid development of accommodation is forcing companies to continue to improve service quality. The number of competitors also makes the hotel creative for the development of hotel chains, such as MICE (meetings, icentives, coference, and exibition) into hotel business land in addition to public services such as staying overnight, with MICE being able to increase revenue such as wedding events. Therefore this study aims to find out (1)the implementation of the banquet wedding operation in the of food and beverage department of the Grand Central Pekanbaru Hotel; (2)obstacles in carrying out the operation of a banquet wedding in the food and beverage department of the Grand Central Pekanbaru Hotel. The design of this research is descriptive qualitative. The subjects of this study were key informants and additional informants. Key informants namely, the banquet captain of the Grand Central Pekanbaru hotel and additional informants were one employee per department of the Grand Central Pekanbaru Hotel. Data collection techniques used were observation, documentation, in-depth interviews and document studies. From the results of observations that have been made regarding the implementation of the banquet wedding operations in the department of food and beverage at the Grand Central Pekanbaru Hotel, the implementation of the operation is already good although there are still obstacles. Constraints faced such as changes in layout, lack of communication, lack of order, and lack of staff. Keywords: MICE, BANQUET, EVENT, WEDDING

Abstract

This study was conducted in the village of Tanjuang Bungo, Suliki District, district fifty cities West Sumatra. The goal is to know the social relationship of production between toke and Labour in the red sugar industry and knowing the social connections fulfill the patron's patrons ' relationship. Sample writing techniques purposive sampling in determining the informant.The research methods used are qualitative descriptive research methods.The results of the writing explain (1) the reason for the Social Relationship of brown sugar household production in Tanjuang Bungo Sub-District, Suliki District formed in the cooperative relationship that occurs between brown sugar employers and brown sugar processors, both in the process of working relations to their daily lives. The reason for the establishment of a cooperative relationship between employer and laborer is because the palm raw materials are starting to run low and the market demand is not fulfilled so that the production of palm sugar is turned into brown sugar made from granulated sugar. Granulated sugar which is capitalized to workers in the form of debt and is processed by workers into brown sugar and brown sugar will be accommodated by the employer. (2) Relationship of Production of Brown Sugar there is an imbalance, in which the employer controls the power of workers with sugar and is bound to produce brown sugar. The face to face that is often done by employers and workers in the production of brown sugar, such as when distributing sugar to workers, makes their relationship not limited to work relations but already considers like a family. And there is a form of empathy carried out between tokens and laborers. Keywords: social relations, Patron client, household industry.

Abstract

Human resources is an important factor in the implementation of work. Good job performance is also the goal of every organization in the government and in the private sector. Human resources are the determining factor in an organization. Said to be a determining factor because the back and forth of an organization depends on its human resources. On the basis of this, it can be said the existence of human resources in an organization is an important factor. to overcome the workload problem that occurs of government kantor camat tampan town of Pekanbaru. the problem of this research is how the workload employee on the part of government kantor camat tampan town of Pekanbaru. the purpose of this study is to analyze  the workload employee on the part of government kantor camat tampan town of Pekanbaru and to analyze inhibiting factors employee on the part of government kantor camat tampan town of Pekanbaru. The theoretical concept used in this study is the analysis of workload by Suci R. Mar'ih Koesomowidjojo (2017) which starts from the conditions of work, the use of work time, targets that must be achieved. In this study researchers used qualitative descriptive research techniques. In this study researchers used observation, interview and documentation techniques. The results of this study concluded that employees worked on more than 42 weekly files for one employee.   Keywords: Workload Analysis, Human Resources

Abstract

The implementation of the relocation of M. Husni Thamrin street traders to the Kelakap Tujuh market in Dumai City in 2017 - 2018 is a step or effort of the Dumai City government to alleviate the problem of M. Husni Thamrin street traders who established 2 traditional markets in an area that is not intended as a trading area. However, the implementation of the policy was not successful in alleviating the problem, this was marked by the return of traders to the M. Husni Thamrin street after relocation was less than 1 month relocated, while the implementation of the relocation had involved many government agencies in the City of Dumai. So the problem raised was regarding "The Implementation of M. Husni Thamrin Street Traders Relocation to the Seven-Day Market in Dumai City 2017 - 2018".This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive research type. This research is based on Van Meter and Carel Van Horn theory, according to which there are several variables that can affect performance in achieving the objectives of the implementation of Public Policy, namely, Standards and Policy Targets, Resources, Relationships between Organizations, Characteristics of Implementing Agencies, Social Conditions, Politics And Economics, and Implementer Disposition.The results of this study are things that affect the implementation of the relocation of M. Husni Thamrin street traders to the Kelakap Tujuh market in Dumai City in 2017 - 2018 including; the absence of a procedure or criteria that become a benchmark in the implementation of the relocation of the trader so that it is only based on the joint decision of the relocation Integrated Team. Then from the budget resources are quite limited because the budgeting is done after relocation. Moreover, the communication that took place in the implementation of the relocation still had no internal decision regarding the procurement of public transportation and the making of the Kelakap Tujuh market access road, as well as external communication to fish and vegetable unloading traders. plus 2 institutions that play an important role, namely the Market Management Department of the Trade Office, have not been able to add infrastructure to support the Kelakap Tujuh market and from the Satpol PP that have not been able to carry out routine control.
