Abstract

Bukit Tigapuluh National Park (BTNP) is an area who designated by the Minister of Forestry as a National Park with total area 127.698 ha based on decree No. 539/Kpt-II/1995. TNBT has a wealth of various types of wildlife, which Panthera tigris sumatraeis one of the wild animal that live with endanged status in BTNP. This is due to factors are always consider to occur because of the existence of society in the surrounding area of BTNP which resulting of increasing activity of the society. The aim of this study is to determinate the effect of the existence of society arround BTNP to Panthera tigris sumatrae population and to determine the role of society on the conservation of Panthera tigris sumatrae in BTNP. This study conducted using a descriptive qualitative design and involving 17 informans who recruited using purposive sampling and quoted sampling. The result showed that the existence of rural society in Rantau Langsat village who living arround BTNP is not affected the population of Panthera tigris sumatrae and then the society role of conservation of Panthera tigris sumatrae in BTNP is high enough. This indicates that the existence of society in Rantau Langsat village have been assist the preversation effort of Panthera tigris sumatrae population.Keyword : Effect, Society, Panthera tigris sumatrae, Population

Abstract

The research aims to obtain the best dose of biofungicide containing    Trichoderma koningii Rifaii. to increase the resistance of tomatoes plants to virus complex and to study it’s effect on the growth and yield of tomatoes plants. This research has been conducted at the Laboratory of Plant Pathology and Experimental Field Screen House, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riaufor five months from November 2017 to Maret 2018. The reserch was conducted experimentally, arranged in a completely randomized design, consisting of 4 treatments (25, 50, 75, 100 gram of biofungicide ) and 5 replications. Data were analyzed statistically with analysis of variance and the means of each treatment was compared by using Duncan’s New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at 5% level. The result showed that the doses of biofungicide of T. koningii had different effect on the first time of symptom appeared disease intensity, plant growth and yield. Biofungicide of T. koningii at 75 gram of biofungicide tender to a better ability to control the virus complex disease, increase the growth and yield of tomatoes plants.Keywords :Biofungicide, Trichoderma koningii, virus complex disease, tomatoes plants.

Abstract

Efforts to obtain the good quality of seedling wos required a proper fertilization that is by giving  horn beetle lava feces (Oryctes rhinoceros). The aim of this research is to know the effect of the interaction of horn beetle lava feces (kolarhino) and NPK fertilizers and to the amount of NPK absorption and to get the best dose on the growth of palm oil seedlings (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.)in the main nursey.This research has been conducted in Experimental Station  Agriculture Faculty in Riau UniversityPekanbaru.The study was conducted for three months from August to November 2016.Field experiments were conducted using a complete factorial randomized design and three replications. The first factor of giving kolarhino consists of four levels, namely: 0 g per plant, 25 g per plant, 50 g per plant, 75 g per plant.The second factor of NPK compound fertilizer (15:15:15) consists of four levels, namely; 0 g per plant, 2.5 g per plant, 5.0 g per plant, 7.5 g per plant.The result of this research showed that significantly influenced on increase  height  seedlings,  the increase stem diameter root volume, root volume, dry weight of seedlings, N uptake , and  uptake P. While NPK fertilizer has significant effect on leaf number, root volume, dry weight of plant, and P absorption. Giving kolarhino 50 and 75 gr per platn showed better results for the growth of oil palm seedlings.  NPK fertilizer gave significant effect to the number of leaves root volume, dry weight of plants and phosphorus uptake. NPK fertilizer 2.5 gr per plant showed better result for the growth of oil palm seedlinhs. Giving kolarhino 50 and NPK fertilizer 2.5 gr per plant showed the best possible results for the growth of iol palm seedlings. Keywords: Nursery, palm oil, larval feces, NPK compound.

Abstract

Dipterocarpaceae is one of the iconic trees in Riau. Dipterocarpaceae grows in lowland tropical rain forests. Taken example, one of the lowland tropical rain forests in Riau is Taman Hutan Raya (Tahura) Sultan Syarif Hasyim. There are so many trees which belong to Dipterocarpaceae along the main patrol line of Tahura Sultan Syarif Hasyim. The Dipterocarpaceae trees along the main patrol line need to be maintained and preserved. The management of Dipterocarpaceae trees requires a distribution data of Dipterocarpaceae trees. Using the analaysis of Morisita index as a form of Dipterocarpaceae trees distribution along the Tahura Sultan Syarif Hasyim’s main patrol line formed a clustered pattern with values >1 for the right side of the line 5,35 and 3,12 for the left side of the line. Keywords:  Distribution pattern, Trees, Dipterocarpaceae, The main line patrol, Tahura

Abstract

This study aimed to get the best ratio of durian seed flour and mung bean flour judging from the content of nutrients and organoleptic tests in making of flakes. The research was conducted with an experimental method using a Completely Randomized Design with five treatments and three replications. The treatments in this study were ratio of durian seed flour and mung bean flour 100%:0%, 90%:10%, 80%:20%, 70%:30%, and 60%:40%. Data were statistically analyzed by using Analysis of Variance and followed by Duncan's New Multiple Range Test at level 5%. Results of the analysis showed that ratio of durian seed flour and mung bean flour significantly affected on moisture, ash, fat, protein, carbohydrate, and crude fiber content as well as descriptive and hedonic sensory test of the flakes. Based on this research, the best treatment was ratio of durian seed flour and mung bean flour 60%:40% which had moisture 4.28%, ash 3.51%, fat 1.29%, protein 10.45%, carbohydrate 80.46% and crude fiber 2.96%. Characteristics flakes of best treatment based on descriptive test was  golden yellow color, mung bean flavor, mung beantaste, andhard texture. Keywords:Flakes, durian seed flour, mung beanflour.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the effected ofred dragon fruit peel and addition of purple sweet potato of to the quality of syrup. This research used Complete Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments and four replications which followed by Duncan’s New Multiple RangeTest(DNMRT) at level 5%.The treatments in this research wereNJ1(red dragon fruit peel extracts 90% : purple sweet potato pulp 10%), NJ2(red dragon fruit peel extracts 80% :purple sweet potato pulp20%), NJ3 (red dragon fruit peel extracts 70%:purple sweet potato pulp30%) andNJ4(red dragon fruit peel extracts 60% :purple sweet potato pulp 40%). The resultsof this reserch showed that the utilization of red dragon fruit peel and addition ofsweet potato significantly effected on pH, sucrose, viscosity, and sensory value (colour, flavour, taste, viscous, and overall acceptability).  The best treatment syrup was NJ4(dragon fruit peel extracts 60% :sweet potato pulp 40%) was pH 4.93, sucrose 65.91%, viscosity 128.20 cP, and descriptives test of NJ4 are the colour was purple,the flavour wasred dragon fruit peel and purple sweet potato,the taste wasred dragon fruit peel and purple sweet potato, the viscous was rather liquid, and hedonic testwas preferred by panelist. Keywords : Syrup,dragon fruit peel, sweet potato pulp

Abstract

The purpose of this research was the to best quality briquettes from a combination of rubber seed coals and rice husk charcoal. The treatments used were the different composition of rice husk charcoal with rubber seed shell charcoal, K1 (90% rice husk charcoal:10% rubber seed shell charcoal), K2 (80% rice husk charcoal:20% rubber shell charcoal), K3 (70 % rice charcoal husk:30% rubber seed shell charcoal), K4 (60% rice husk charcoal:40% rubber seed shell charcoal), and K5 (50% rice husk charcoal:50% rubber seed shell charcoal).Data obtained were analyzed using analysis of variance and followed by Duncan’s Multiple Range Test at 5% level. The best treatment is charcoal charcoal briquettes K5(50% rice husk charcoal:50% rubber seed shell charcoal) has a water content of 3.1085%, ash content 17.0099%, density content 1.1842 g/cm3, crushing strength content 0.0127 kg/cm2, calorific value of 5403.1761 kal/g, level of volatile matter32.0165%, and bound carbon content of 47.8651%.Keywords:briquettes, charcoal rice husk, rubber seed shell charcoal

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the effect of K fertilizer rates and time of N fertilizer application, and to obtain better combination of K fertilizer and time of N fertilizer application for plant growth and soybean grain yield. A Field trial was conducted using a randomized block design with three replications. The rates of K fertilizer were 25 kgK2Oha-1, 50 kgK2Oha-1,  and 75 kgK2Oha-1and time of N fertilizer application including,planting date, 30 days after planting, and at plantingdate followed at 30 days after planting. Parameters observed are plant height, number of internodes, seed dry weight at 15, 22 days after pollination and at harvest, dry matter accumulation rate, effective filling period, seed yield m-2, 100-seed weight and harvest index. Significant effect were observed for seed yield per m2 and seed dry weight at harvest, while plant height, number of internodes, seed dry weight at 15 and 22 days after pollination, dry material accumulation rate, effective filling period, 100-seed weight and harvest indexwere not influenced by K fertilizer and time of N application.Keyword :soybean, K fertilizer rates, application time N

Abstract

the purpose of this study: 1) find out the pineapple cultivation techniques in Kualu Nenas Village, 2) analyze the income of farmers in Kualu Nenas Village. Research in Kualu Nenas Village, Tambang District, Kampar Regency. Analysis of the data used is income analysis. The results showed that the production costs of pineapple farming in Kualu Nenas Village consisted of fixed costs and variable costs. The fixed cost of pineapple farming is Rp. 14,203,550.53 / year and variable costs are Rp. 21,316,493.33 / year. The total cost of producing pineapple farming is Rp. 14,203,550.53 / year with pineapple production of 41,356 and pineapple prices of Rp. 2,199 / piece. Abstract

The purpose of this study are to identify local wisdom rubber plant has ever had (previously done but did not do it again now), formerly done by now they do the rubber farmers and which were not performed but is now made of rubber farmers. The method was used survey and Snowball Sampling in finding the respondent the right to obtain 15 respondents consisting of 1) Farmers Rubber, 2) Traditional Leaders, 3) Religious Leaders, 4) village officials, 5) Members farmer groups, 6) Collectors. Methods interviews were conducted to obtain information about local wisdom rubber plants. The criteria will be seeking respondents rubber farmers who have cultivated long experience and know the local wisdom rubber plants. The results showed that local wisdom rubber plant by the farmers in cultivation in 1) clearing of land that is numbered 15 indigenous 2) Nurseries are 4 local wisdom 3) Planting a total of 5 local wisdom 4) Maintenance numbered 11 local wisdom and 5) Rubber tapping totaling 12 indigenous 6) Rejuvenation totaled 4 indigenous 7) Processed Material totaled 3 lokal wisdom 8) Marketing amounted to 3 lokal wisdom. Total indigenous rubber plant at 58 local wisdom. Strategies in maintaining local knowledge of rubber cultivation in the Districts Batang Cenaku gained 9 strategy, which gained 3 SO strategy, ST there are 2 strategies, WO 2 and WT strategy 2 strategy.
