Abstract

The aim of research to determine the effect of compost main pod husks and dolomite as well as their interaction on the growth of cocoa seedlings in media ultisol. Research conducted at the Experimental Farm, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau from November 2015 until February 2016. Research in the form of factorial experiment using completely randomized design (CRD). The first factor pod husks compost comprises four levels (0, 75, 100 and 125 g / polybag) and the second factor dolomite consists of three levels (0, 10, and 20 g / polybag), each combination treatment was repeated 3 times. Parameters measured were plant height, leaf number, stem diameter, and leaf area. Each parameter the observed data were statistically analyzed using analysis of variance and test of Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at 5% level. The results showed the effect of compost pod husks dose of 125 g / polybag significantly increased plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves and leaf area while dolomite dose of 20 g / polybag no real effect except leaf area compared with no treatment. Interaction pod husks compost dose of 100 g / polybag and dolomite dose of 20 g / polybag increase stem diameter, number of leaves and leaf area significantly compared without compost pod husks and dolomite but less tangible than other combinations.   Keywords : cacao fruit feel compost, dolomite, cocoa plants, soil ultisol.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of organic liquid fertilizer and liquid organic fertilizer obtain a concentration corresponding to the growth of seedlings of oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq). The main breeding and looking for correlations of all parameters in the treatment gives the highest influence on the main nursery. Completely randomized design (CRD), consisting of 5 treatments with 4 replications. Data were  analyzed by analysis of variance, HSD (Honestly Significant Difference) at 5% level and correlation was used in this research. The parameters were observed in the study were plant height increment, the increase in diameter stump, in the number of leaves, root volume, fresh weight and dry weight. Liquid organic fertilizer significantly affects on plant height increment parameter, the increase in diameter stump, root volume, fresh weight and dry weight of oil palm seedlings, but no significant difference in the parameter number of leaves. Organic fertilizer at a concentration of 6 ml / l of water showed the highest value on each parameter observation that a high increment of plants, increase the diameter of the pulpit, in the number of leaves, root volume, fresh weight and dry weight of oil palm seedlings than other concentration.   Keywords : organic liquid fertilizer, palm oil, concentration

Abstract

The purpose of this research to know the effect of humic acid, ash of oil palm empty fruits bunch and it’s interaction at medium of sub soil Ultisol and get the best combination to the growth of palm oil (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) seedling in main nursery. This research was done in a Complete Random Device (CDR) consists of two factors with three replications. The first factor is humic acid which consists of three levels (0, 25 and 50 g/polybag) and the second factor is ash of oil palm empty fruits bunchwhich consists of four levels (0, 25, 50 and 75 g/polybag). Data were analyzed by analysis of variance (ANOVA) andfurthertestedusingDuncan’sNewMultiple RangeTest(DNMRT) atthe significant level of 5%.The parameters observed were the increment of seedling’s height (cm), increment of seedling’s hump diameter (cm), increment of seedling’s leaf (sheet), root volume of seedling (ml),dry weight of seedling (g) and root crown ratio (g). The results of research showed the combination of humic acid and ash of oil palm empty fruits bunch gavesignificant effect toincrement of seedling’s height, seedling’s hump diameter, seedling’s leaf, root volume of seedling. The application 25 g/polybag of humic acid with 25 g/polybag of ash of oil palm empty fruits bunch is the best combination. Giving of humic acidgavesignificant effect to increment of seedling’s hump diameter and seedling’s leaf. Giving of ash of oil palm empty fruits bunchgavesignificant effect to increment of seedling’s height, seedling’s hump diameter, seedling’s leaf, root volume of seedling and dry weight of seedling. Abstract

This study aims to determine the best ameliorant influence on the growth of oil palm seedlings in the pre nursery. This research was conducted at the Agriculture Experiment Station of Agriculture Faculty University of Riau, from February to May 2015. The treatment were consisted of 4 ameliorants, ie: A0 : without giving ameliorant , A1 : Ameliorant ash janjangan palm oil 10 g / polybag , A2 : Ameliorant compost tangkos 10 g / polybag , A3 : Ameliorant sludge palm oil mill 10 g / polybag , A4 : Ameliorant ash boiler 10 g / polybag. Parameters measured were seedling height , number of leaves , leaf length and hump diameter. The result of the research showed that the provision of some kind of material ameliorant significant effect on seedling height , number of leaves , leaf length and hump diameter.  Giving sludge palm oil 10g / polybag is the best treatment effect on seedling height (24 cm) , the number of leaves (4.62 leaves), leaf length (19.97 cm) and hump diameter (1,5 cm).   Key word : oil palm, ameliorant, pre-nursery.

Abstract

Onion have high economic value that is suitable to be cultivated in peatlands. Efforts to increase onion production can be done with the use of peatlands that have been planted with oil palm immature. Peatlands are managed by the plant spacing and the addition of compost TKKS. The research objective was to determine the effect of plant spacing and composting TKKS the growth and production of onion in the oil palm plantations on peatlands. The research was done in experimentation area Faculty of Agroteknologi Universitas Riau, Rimbo Panjang village, Kampar from June to August 2015. The research was using the Randomized Block Design Factorial with two factors. The first factor of plant spacing with three levels namely: 10 cm x 10 cm, 20 cm x 10 cm dan 20 cm x 20 cm. The second factor of compost dose TKKS  with four levels namely: 5, 10, 15 dan 20 ton/ha. Parameter observed wereplant height, relative growth rate, dry weight, fresh weight tuber per plot, total tuber, rim tuber and dry weighttuber per plot. Abstract

Research aims to understand bedween the ages of fertilizer and seeds N, P, K and interaksi to growth and the production of rice varieties ir in land tides on village Kuala Mulya Cinaku with the methods SRI. The study analyzed uses the design faktorials design random group consisting two factors thas is, factors first age seeds consisting three the economic situation, the second faktor four the economic situation and three remedial. The results of the analisis factor age fertilizer and seeds N, P, K had have real inpact on saplings maximum, heaviy dry, age out panicles, the number of grain panicles, heavy grain dry ground and heavy 1000 grains. Interaction age fertilizer and seeds N, P, K inpact to age out panicles, the amount of grain panicles, heavy gaba dry steamroller, and heavy 1000 grains of the rice plant varieties IR 42. Seeds age 7 day and fertilizer 50 kg Urea, 25 kg SP-36, 25 kg give grownth KCl better with the production of dried grain 2.388,50 kilogram/plot. Against interaction bedween treatment age seed and fertilizer N, P, K treatment and production Seeds age 7 day and fertilizer 50 kg Urea, 25 kg SP-36, 25 kg give grownth KCl most excellent. Abstract

Aloe vera chinensis is a tropical plant which has potential to developed in Indonesia. The qualified of aloe vera’s leaf is determine by quality of seed which used. The effort to increase the productivity of aloe vera’s leaf need to considered is soil fertility. The research aims to observe the response of aloe vera chinensis to interaction of potassium and cow manure and obtain the best dose of potassium and cow manure. This research has been conducted at the experimental farm of Agricultural Faculty Riau University on June to September 2015.The research was carried out experimentally using a randomized block design (RBD) consisted of2 factors and 3 replications. The first factor was KCl doses (0, 5, 10 and 15 g KCl/plant), the second factor doses of cow manure  (100, 200 and 300 g cow manure/plant). Data obtained were statistically analyzed using analysis of variance andDuncan’s New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at 5%. The results showed that application of 15 g KCl/plant and 200 g cow manure/plant able to support the aloe vera’s growth. Keywords : Aloe vera, potassium, cow manure.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the interaction and the single factor green manure, Azolla microphylla and NPK fertilizer on plant oil palm in the main nursery as well as getting the best dose. This research has been conducted in the experimental garden of Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau in November 2015 to March 2016. The study was conducted experimentally using a completely randomized design (CRD) factorial, consisting of two factors and three replications. The first factor is Green manure Azolla Microphylla with 6 levels (0, 20, 40, 60, 80 and 100 / polybag) and the second factor is NPK fertilizer with 4 levels (0, 10, 20 and 30 g / polybag). The parameters measured were the increase of plant height, , in the number of leaves, stem diameter increase, root volume, dry weight, the uptake of N in the leaves and the leaves outbreak. The results were analyzed statistically using Analysis Of  Variance (ANOVA). The results of the analysis of the test manifold followed by Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) level of 5%. The results showed that administration of green manure, Azolla microphylla and NPK on oil palm seedlings no real effect on the increase of plant height, stem diameter increase, in the number of leaves root volume and dry wight . In morphology, palm trees aged 7 months treated green manure Azolla microphylla and NPK grow well, but development in general leaves only reached the stage of development bifurcate. Oil palm seedlings were given the green manure Azolla microphylla with a dose of 40 g / polybag and NPK at a dose of 10 g / polybag provide good seedling growth and nutrient uptake of N highest.   Keywords: Azolla microphylla, NPK fertilizer and oil palm seedlings

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the interaction between NPK fertilizer and vermicompost, as getting the best treatment on the growth of palm oil seedling main nursery phase. This research has been conducted in the experimental station of Agriculture Faculty, University of Riau in November 2015 to March 2016. The study was conducted by using factorial in completely randomized design (CRD), and two factors and three replications. The first factor is fertilizer NPK with 3 levels (0, 20 and 30 g / plant) and the second factor is vermicompost with 4 levels (0, 20, 40 and 60 g / plant). The parameters measured were the increase of plant height, the increase number of leaves, the increase of stem diameter, root volume, leaf area, plant N absortion and outbreak of the leaf. The results were analyzed statistically using analysis of varian (ANOVA) and followed by Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at 5% level. The results showed that the interaction of NPK fertilizer and vermicompost provides no significant influence on the parameters the increase of plant height, the increase number of leaves, the increase of stem diameter leaf area but the interaction of NPK fertilizer and vermicompost provides significant influence on the parameters increase of root volume. Vermicompost application at a dose of 20 g / plant gives the highest N absortion.   Keyword: Vermicompost, NPK fertilizer and palm oil seedling

Abstract

Dragon fruit plant (Hylocereuscostaricensis) is one character of fruit crops that produce well in Indonesia that has a big opportunity to build up.These opportunities must be equilibrated by the provision of seedlings. Media and stem cuttings are a factor that must be considered in the nursery because it will affect the growth of seedlings in the field. This research was conducted in the village of dragon fruit plantations Tameran District of Bengkalis, Bengkalis. Time used in this study is four (4) months, going from early August to November 2012. The design used was completely randomized design (CRD) factorial 3 x 3 with three replications. The first factor is a stem cuttings, which is derived from the base, middle and tip cuttings. The second factor is the composition of the media, namely peat, peat and compost mixture of oil palm bunches (EFB) 3: 1 mixture of peat and sago dregs  3: 1. The parameters those measured were:  the number of roots, root length, root volume, shootsemergence time, shoot length, number of buds, seedling fresh weight and dry weight of seedlings. Data were analyzed statistically using Analysis Of Variance (ANOVA) up to a further test Honestly Significant Difference (HSD) level of 5%. Based on the results of this study concluded that the stem cuttings is best cuttings derived from the middle as it gives a significantly different effect on the parameters of shoot length and fresh weight and showing shoots of the fastest growing on the time parameters appear shoots and shows dry weight of the highest in the parameter dry weight seedlings . While on treatment composition of the medium obtained composition best media is derived from peat and compost TKKS (3 : 1) because it gives a significantly different effect on the parameters of the number of shoots and shows the root length of the longest on the parameters of the length of roots, shoots the fastest growing at the time parameters shoots appear and the highest weight on the parameters of fresh weight and dry weight of seedlings. And for the combined treatment of stem cuttings and the composition of the media influence that were not significantly different.   Keywords: dragon fruit, stem cuttings, media composition.
