Abstract

  To increase the effects of Giving wastewater of oil palm was conducted by the biopory method, waste is included into hole's biopori as food organisms in the soil, organism can change waste become fertilizer which required the young oil palm to growth. This research used completely randomized design (CRD) non factorial consists of 13 treatments, they are S0 = Without treatment, S1 = LCPKS dose of 2.5 liters for 1 tubeunit biopory/plants, S2 = LCPKS dose of 2.5 liter for 2 tube unit biopory/plants, S3 = LCPKS dose of 2.5 liters for 3 tube unit biopory/plants, S4 = LCPKS dose of 2.5 liters for 4 tube unit biopory/plants, S5 = LCPKS dose of 5 liters for 1 tube unit biopory/plants, S6 = LCPKS doses of 5 liters for 2 tube unit biopory/plants, S7 = LCPKS dose of 5 liters for 3 tube unit biopory/plants, S8 = LCPKS dose of 5 liters for 4 tube unit biopory/plants, S9 = LCPKS doses of 7.5 liters for 1 tube unit biopory/plants, S10 = LCPKS doses of 7.5 liter for 2 tube unit biopory/plants, S11 = LCPKS doses of 7.5 liters for 3 tube unit biopory/plants, S12 = LCPKS doses of 7.5 liters for 4 tube unit biopory/plants. Several studies about apllication of liquid waste of oil palm have shown the real influence as growth of height, girth, width of the leaf, and length of the oil palm's leaves varieties Tenera (DXP), marihat 21 month until 24 month immature.   Keywords : LCPKS , holes biopori

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of Trichocompost corn wasted to the growth and production of mustard. This research has been conducted on the experimental farm of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University. This study was conducted from April to May 2016. This study was performed experimentally using by Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisting of 5 treatments were t0: Non Trichocompost Corn Waste, t1: 0.75 kg/plot Trichocompost Corn Waste, t2: 1.5 kg/plot Trichocompost Corn Waste, t3: 2.25 kg/plot Trichocompost Corn Waste, and t4: 3.00 kg/plot Trichocompost Corn Waste. Each treatment was repeated 4 times and 4 samples plant taken from each plot. Parameters observed were plant height (cm), number of leave (blade), leaf area (cm2), fresh weight (g) and fresh weight feasible consumption (g). The results showed that The Trichocompost corn waste can improve plant growth, especially height, number of leave, leaf area, fresh weight and fresh weight worth of consumption.   Keywords : Trichocompost Corn Waste, Mustard (Brassica juncea L.)

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of the concentration of coconut water, to find out the best concentration for the growth of seedlings of robusta coffee plant and look for correlation of all parameters on the treatment that gives the highest growth. This research has been carried out in the UPT area of research farm in the faculty of agriculture, University of Riau. This research was conducted in June to September. This design of this research was completely random design, 5 treatments and 4 replications. Each research unit consists of 3 plants, thus the number of sources used as many as 60 robusta coffee seeds. The results showed that an increase in the concentration of coconut water also improves the increment of plant height, the increase in the circumference of the trunk, broad leaves, root header ratio and dry weight of the plant. The results showed that an increase in the concentration of coconut water doesn't improve the increment of the number of leaves. Treatment of the application of the coconut water with a concentration of 50% gives the highest influence for the increment of plant height, the increase in the circumference of the trunk, broad leaves, root header ratio and dry weight of the robust coffee plant. The plant's dry weight is correlated very strongly with the increment of the number of leaves, broad leaves and root shoot ratio. Plant dry weight correlated strongly with the increase in the circumference of the trunk and the increment of plant height.   Keywords: coconut water, seeds, robusta coffee

Abstract

ABSTRACT The research purpose to observe the influence of a combination of bokashi fertilizer and urea fertilizer, and knowing dosage bokashi and urea for the growth and the production of plants mustard greens (Brassica Juncea L). The reaserch has implemented in the garden faculty the farm university of Riau in campus Bina Widya KM 12,5 Village Simpang Baru District Tampan Pekanbaru. The research has implented for 2 months was counted started April 2016 to Mey 2016. The study was carried out experiments using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) factorial consting of 2 factors, the first factor is bokashi fertilizer (B) consist of 3 level and the second factor is urea fertilizer consist of 2 level, so in the can 6 a combination of treatment each 4 repetition, so obtained 24 plot. Each plot consist of 25 plants and taken 5 plants as sample. Parameters observed is high plants (cm), sum leaves (sheet) broad leaves (cm2), volume the root (ml) and the weight of fresh plants (g). Data obtained from the results of reasearch analyzed statistically with kind of a variety and proceed with further test (DNMRT) on the level 5%. Based on the results of reseach influence of giving bokashi fertilizer and urea fertilizer against the growth and the production of plants mustard greens (Brassica Juncea L) give the influence of a real in the parameters broad leaves and the weight of fresh plants. Based on the results of research obtained the results of the best on the giving bokashi fertilizer with a dosage of 2 tons/ha and dosage urea fertilizer 150 kg/ha so it can be advised to do fertilization to dosage on plants mustard greens.   Keyword: Mustard Greens, Bokashi Fertilizer and Urea Fertilizer

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research was to got of arabica coffee seedling growth better which although it is planted on peat medium by shading and Nitrogen fertilizer. This research was carried out at the experimental station, Faculty of Agriculture Riau University on Bina Widya Campus, Simpang Baru Sub-districs, Tampan Districs, Pekanbaru from October 2015 to Januari 2016. This research was done experimentally utilized split plot design based on completely randomized design. The main plot was shading. Which are: without shading, 25% shading, 50% shading and 75% shading. Sub-plot was Nitrogen Fertilization, were: without nitrogen, 9,8 g N/plant (200 kgN/ha) and 19,6 g N/plant (400 kgN/ha). Parameter observed are seedling height, number of leafs, diameter of stalk, root volume, dry weight seedling, leafs and root ratio, the leaf width. The results showed that shading could increase number of leafs, seedling dry weight and the leaf width. Nitrogen fertilizeron peat medium has showed negative effect on seedling height, the number of leaf, diameter of stalk, root volume and seedling dry weight of Arabica coffee seedling.   Keywords: arabica coffea seedling growth, peat medium, shading, nitrogen fertilizer

Abstract

ABSTRACT   The purpose of this research is to find out the interaction of TKKS liquid smoke application and trichocompost as well as finding the best concentration and dozage of chose on the growth of oil palm seedling (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) at the main nursery. This research was carried out at the Agriculturural Faculty University of Riau Bina  Widya Campus KM 12,5 Simpang Baru Tampandistrick, Pekanbaru at the height of 10 m above sea level. The research was 4 months star in September 2015 through January 2016. The research utilize CRD (Completely Roudomized Design) which 2 factors. First factor is the concentration of liquid smoke wich 6 level. Second factors is trichocompost dozage wich 2 level. Both factor gave 12 treatment combination and wich 3 replication there are 36 experimental units. Each experimental units 2 seedling so that there were 72 seedling. Parameters observed were the increase of seedling height, the increase of leaf number, the increase of hump diameter, leaf area an soil analysis. Data were analyzed statistically with variance and continued with Duncan New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at 5% level. The result of the research showed chat interaction of liquid smoke and trickocompost gave nonsignificant effect to the parameter of seedling height increase, leaf number increase, hump diameter increase and leaf area of seedling. The combination of treatment liquid smoke with 20% concentration and trichocompost of 124.5 g/plant dosage trend to increase the seedling height, leaf number increase and leaf area of oilpalm seedling. The application of liquid smoke 20% gave good effect on the increase of seedling height and leaf number of seedling. The application of trichocompost 124.5 g/plant gave good effect on seedling height increase leaf number increase and hump diameter increase of oilpalm seedling.   Keyword : Oilpalm, TKKS Liquid Smoke, Trichocompost.

Abstract

ABSTRACT                This study aims to determine the interaction of reed mulch and Urea, TSP, KCl fertilizers and to get the best dose on the growth and yield of mung bean. The research was conducted on August to October 2015 at the Experimental Farm, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, Pekanbaru. This experiment based on factorial, arranged in Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 2 factors and 3 replications. The first factor are 3 levels mulching reeds (without mulch reeds, mulch reeds 8 ton/ha and 12 ton/ha). The second factor are 3 levels of fertilizer Urea, TSP, KCl (25, 37.5, 25 kg/ha), (37.5, 56.25, 37.5 kg/ha) and (50, 75, 50 kg/ha). Data were analyzed statistically and Duncan's Multiple Range test at 5% level. The results showed that the interaction of mulch reeds and Urea, TSP, KCl had no effect on plant height, number of branches, flowering dates, number of pods per plant, number of pods pithy per plant, yield per plot and weight of 1000 seeds and influential the length of the main stem segments. Based on the research results 12 ton/ha of mulch reeds and 25, 37.5, 25 kg/ha of Urea, TSP, KCl was the best results on the growth and yield of mung beans.   Keywords: mung beans, mulch, fertilizers, yield.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The experiment aims to determine the effect of application with different frequency of Trichocompost on the growth of seedlings of oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) and gain the best frequency of Trichocompost for the growth of oil palm seedlings in the main nursery stage. This research was conducted at the Agriculture Experiment Station of Agriculture Faculty University of Riau, from April to August 2015. The treatment were consisted of 4 frequencies, ie: without giving Trichocompost (F0), Trichocompost given one time (F1), Trichocompost given two times (F2) and Trichocompost given three times (F3) that repeated 4 times. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance followed by Duncan's multiple range test at 5% level. Parameters measured were: seedling height (cm), number of leaves (leaf), stump diameter (cm), the ratio of the canopy root dry weight (g) and root volume (cm3). The result of the research showed that frequencies of Trichocompost significantly affected on plant height and plant dry weight, but not significantly effect on the number of leaves, hump diameter and canopy ratio of root volume. Trichocompost given three times tended to give a better effect on seedling height (73.02 cm) and seedling dry weight (83.07 g). Keywords: oil palm, Trichocompost, frequency.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aimed to determine the effect of Bokashi and NPK on the growth and yield of watermelons. This research was conducted in farmers' fields Jalan Palembang, Kulim on KM15, Pekanbaru. The study lasted three months starting in December 2015 until March 2016. The study was conducted experimentally using a randomized block design (RCBD) factorial consisting of two factors: Bokashi and NPK with three replications. The first factor was Bokashi (M) which consists of three levels is:M1(5 ton / ha), M2 (7 tonnes / ha) M3 (10 ton / ha) and the second factor is the NPK (S) consisting of 3 levels namely: S1 (350 kg / ha), S2 (700 kg / ha),S3 (1050 kg / ha). Parameters those measured were plant length, number of leaves, flowering age, harvesting age, and fresh weight of fruit per plant. The results showed that the interaction of Bokashi and NPK application significantly affected the length of the plant, number of leaves, and the weight of fruit per plant. Award Bokashi 7 tonnes /ha and 350 kg NPK / ha gives good results on the growth and yield of watermelons.   Keywords: watermelon, Bokashi fertilizers, NPK.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of cocoa pods compost and the best dosage on the growth of cocoa seedlings. The research was conducted at the experimental field of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau, Bina Widya Campus KM 12,5 Simpang Baru, Tampan District, Pekanbaru. The experiment was conducted for 4 month started from Februari until June 2016. The research used Completely Randomized Design (CRD), which consist of 8 treatment that are: K1= 0 g/polybag, K2= 25 g/polybag, K3 = 50 g/polybag,  K4= 100 g/polybag, K5= 125 g/polybag, K6= 150 g/polybag, K7= 175 g/polybag, 3 replications for each treatment, so that there are 24 experimental units. Each experimental units consisted of three plants. So the total crop was 72 plants and 2 plants from each experimental unit become sample. Data obtained result were statisticall analyzed by analysis of variance and further test of  Honestly Significant Difference at 5%. Parameters observed are seedling height, stem diameter, leaves number, leaf area, the ratio of crown roots, and seedling dry weight. The result of the research show that application of cocoa pods compost gave significant effect to the parameter of seedling height, leaves number and leaf area, and non significant effect to the parameter of stem diameter, the ratio of crown roots and seedling dry weight. The application of cocoa pods compost 50 g/polybag gave good effect to the growth of cocoa seedlings.   Keyword :Cocoa, Cocoa pods compost
