Abstract

ABSTRACT The research was aimed to know influence of bokashi fertlizer to get the growth and production of pakcoy and to get the effective dose of bokashi fertilizer. The research was conducted at the experimental farm of Faculty of Agriculture University of Riau from April 2016 to May 2016. The study was carried out experiments using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of one Factor that bokashi fertilizer with 5 treatments and 4 replications. The observation made are measuring of plant height, number of leaves, fresh wieght of plant on plots, fresh weight of plant, heavy of plant for consumption and ratio heading roots. The results showed that given of some dose bokashi fertilizer influencing pakcoy on all parameters, and given of 3 ton/ha bokashi fertilizer is the most effective dose for the growth and production of pakhcoy. Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of cow urine and NPK fertilizers, as well as getting the best dose on production component of sweet corn on peatlands. The research was conducted on peat types sapric in Experimental Farm, Faculty of Agriculture Rimbo Panjang TambangDistrict of Kampar Regency and conducted over three months starting in December 2015 to March 2016. The study was conducted using a factorial RAL consisting of two factors with the first factor is giving of cow urine U1: cow urine concentration of 150 ml/l, U2: cow urine concentration of 300 ml/l, U3: cow urine concentration of 450 ml/l and U4: cow urine concentration of 600 ml/l. The second factor is the NPK fertilizer is P0: without fertilizer NPK, P1: award NPK 150 kg/ha and P2: award NPK 300 kg/ha. Data were analyzed statistically using analysis of variance followed by Duncan's multiple range test at 5% level. Parameters measured were plant growth rate, production per plot, weight per cob without husk, cob without husk lengthand diameter cob without husk.The results showed interaction NPK fertilizer of cow urine and cow urine as well as single factor effect is not real to each parameter of observation. Giving a single factor NPK showed an increased rate of plant growth, production per plot, weight per cob without husk, without husk cob lengthand cob diameter without husk. Increased production of sweet corn is highest at a dose of 300 ml of cow urine treatment with NPK fertilizer 150 kg/ha of 6,53 kg/5,25 m2 (equivalent to 5,0 tons/ha), increased 83% compared with no fertilizer NPK and 150 ml cow urine. Abstract

This research was aimed to  know influence of concentrate Bio-urine of cow and to get the effective concentrate of Bio-urine of cow. The research was conducted at the greenhouse of Faculty of Agriculture University of  Riau  from Mei 2015 to July 2015.This research is an experimental with 5 treatments (no concentrate,30% concentrate, 40% concentrate, 50% concentrate, and 60% concentrate) with 4 replications and each  replications consist of 2 plants. Data obtained from this study were analyzed by ANOVA and continued with Duncan’s New Multiple Range Test at 5%. The results showed thatgiven of some concentrate Bio-urine of cow influencing gaharu on all parameters. And given of 60% concentrate is the most effective concentrate for Seed agarwood grow up.   Key words: Seed agarwood, Bio-urine of cow.

Abstract

This reserch was  aimed to know ifluence of. Compost Trichoazolla and pearl NPK Mutiara (16:16:16) the growth and prodution of swet corn. The research was conducted at the experiment staion of Faculty of Agriculture University of Riau from agustus 2015 to november 2015. This reseach is an experimental with combination.The parameters measured were plant height (m), stem diameter (cm), the time appears male and female flowers (HST), leaf area (cm2), harvesting (HST), cob diameter (cm), weight cobs berkelobot per plot (kg), weight per cob without husk (g), the length of the cob without husk (cm) and plant dry weight (g). Combination komposTrichoazolla9 tonnes / ha with NPK fertilizer 200 kg / ha give cob production berkelobot high in sweet corn with the acquisition results of 9.00 kg / 6m2 or (15,00ton / ha), compared with those without compost Trichoazolla and without NPK yaitu5,16 kg / 6m2 or (8.60 tonnes / ha), it means having the difference of 6.4 ton / ha (42.66%).   Keywords: sweet corn, Trichoazolla Compost and fertilizer NPK (16:16:16)

Abstract

The objective of this research was to determine the effect of TKKS compost, P2O5 and TKKS interaction with the P2O5 as well as to get the best dose for growth and production of red rice. This research was conducted in the agricultural experimental unit, Agriculture Faculty, Riau University, Bina Widya Street, sub-district of Simpang Baru, district of Tampan, Pekanbaru. This research was conducted for six months from  May until October 2015. The study arranged experimentally using Randomized Block Design (RBD) factorial. The first factor was TKKS with 4 levels consisting of: 2,5 ton/ha, 5 ton/ha, 7,5 ton/ha and 10 tons/ha and second factor was P2O5 with 4 levels consisting of: 15,525 kg/ha  (TSP33,75 kg/ ha), 31,05 kg/ha (TSP 67,5 kg/ ha), 46,575 kg/ha (TSP 101,25 kg/ha and 62,1 kg/ha (TSP 135 kg/ha). The parameters those observed were plant height, number of maximum tillers,  number of productive tillers, the panicle emergence age, panicle length, number of grains per panicle, filled grain percentage, dry milled grain weight/m2, and weight of 1000 grains milled rice.Analysis of variance and HSD 5% was used for data analysis. The results of research suggested that an increase in all variable observations with increasing dose of treatment. Dry milled grain weight/m2 positively correlated with all the variable observations except for the observation panicle age youth are correlated negatively. TKKS 7.5 ton/ ha and P2O5 46,575 kg/ha treatment can be used as combination to increase growth and yield of red rice.   Keywords: red rice, TKKS, P2O5

Abstract

The objective of this research was to determine the yield of four sorghum cultivars at different plant spacing and find out proper plant spacing for each sorghum cultivars. This research was conducted in the Agriculture experiment statiou and in plant breeding laboratory, Riau University from April 2015 to Agustus 2015. The parameters those observed were plant height, number of stem internodes, stem diameter, panicle length, time to harvest, grain weight per panicle, number of grains per panicle, yield per m2 and weight of 1000 grains. The results showed that increasing plant population per area due tothick planting space increasedgrain yield for 27% to 36.33% compare to wider planting space. Patir 9 as a new line developed by BATAN with 75 cm between row and 15 cm within a row has the high yield potential compared with other cultivars.   Keywords: sorghum cultivars, plant spacing, yield

Abstract

This study aims to get palm oil seedlings goodness although the seedlings in difference level of waterlogging. The experiment has been conducted in the greenhouse Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University, Pekanbaru from December 2015 to March 2016. This study used a completely randomized factorial design consisting of two factors and three replications. The first factor was the concentration of liquid fertilizer(LF) consists of 3 levels p0: No LF, p1: LF 9,000 ppm, and p2: LF 18,000 ppm and the second factor wasthe difference level of waterlogging, consists of 3 levels t0: No waterlogging, t1: Waterlogging to 3cm below of growing point level, t2: Waterlogging 3 cm above of growing point level. The parameters measured were:seedling height, stem diameter, number of leaves, seedling dry weight, shoot root ratio. The mean separation of the tested by Duncan’s new multiple range test  at 5% level. The result showed that no effect of interaction between the difference level of waterlogging and concentration of LF on seedling growth component Tenera palm oil seedling. The waterlogging 3 cm above of growing point level tends to inhibit the growth of seedling i.e. height, dry weight of roots and shoot root ratio of palm oil seedlings. Liquid fertilizer complementary positive effect on the dry weight of oil palm seedlings were experiencing on waterlogging to 3cm below of growing point level, but a negative effect on palm oil seedlings in waterlogging 3 cm above of growing point level.  Keywords: palm oil, waterlogging level, liquid fertilizer

Abstract

The objectives of this study was to determine the provision of human urine and get the best result for the growth of oil palm seedlings stage of pre nursery. Study has been carried out in the land of Plant Laboratory, Agriculture Faculty,University of Riau from June to October 2015. This study arranged experimentally using Completely Randomized Design (CRD), consist of 5 treatments and each treatment was repeated 4 times then obtained 20 experimental units. The treatment given is P0: Without giving human urine, P1: provision of human urine with a volume of 50 ml/polybag, P2: giving human urine with a volume of 100 ml/polybag, P3: giving human urine with a volume of 150 ml/polybag and P4: Giving human urine with a volume of 200 ml/polybag.Parameters measured were seedling height, number of leaves, stem diameter, root volume, crown root ratio and seeds dry weight. Data were analyzed statistically using analysis of variance and further test followed by Duncan's New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at the level of 5%. From the study that has been carried out,showed that giving of human urine on the growth of plant seedlings of palm oil (Elaeis guineensis jacq) at the stage of pre nursery significant affected on seedling height and number of leaves.The best treatment in the giving of human urine on the growth of seedlings of palm oil trees obtained in a volume of 200 ml/polybag and not significant with the treatment of 100 and 150 ml/polybag. Abstract

This research aimed effect of Trichocompost with oil palm bunch ash mix giving in ultisol subsoil medium on oil palm’s growth and to the effective dosage. The research was conducted fromJunetoSeptember 2015. The research was a factorial experiments using Completely Randomized Design (CRD),the factor consist of Trichocompost and oil palm bunch ash mixed (T) consisted of 5 levels, without Trichocompost and oil palm bunch ash giving (T0), 25 g/polybag Trichocompost and 16 g/polybag oil palm bunch ash (T1), 50 g/polybag Trichocompost and 20 g/polybag oil palm bunch ash (T2), 75 g/polybag Trichocompost and 24 g/polybag oil palm bunch ash (T3) and 100 g/polybag Trichocompost and 28 g/polybag oil palm bunch ash (T4). The result of the research showed that Trichocompost and oil palm bunch ash givingin ultisol subsoil medium has significantly affected on oil palm seedling’s growth in main nursery. The application of 100 g/polybag Trichocompost with 28g/polybag oil palm bunch ash was effective in increasing plant height, leaf number, steam diameter, root volume, crown root ratio and plant dry weight. Abstract

Green beans (Phaseolus radiatus L.) is a legume that has long been known and cultivated in Indonesia. Increased production and quality of green beans can not be separated from the technical cultivation is done, one of which is the provision of nutrients in the soil with organic fertilization and mulching. This study aims to determine the effect of combined administration of concentration liquid organic fertilizer and mulch Bio Sugih organikserta to get the best treatment on the growth and yield of green beans (Phaseolus radiatus.L). This study uses a completely randomized design consisting of two factors. The first factor is the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer bio sugih consists of 5 levels, the second factor was organic mulch comprises 3 levels, and consists of three replications. Data were analyzed statistically using analysis of variance and tested further by Duncan's multiple range test at 5% The results of analysis of variance showed that the combined administration of several concentrations of liquid organic fertilizer and bio sugih organic mulch does not affect the amount and ratio of primary branch canopy roots and influence on plant height, dry weight, flowering age, harvesting age, number of pods per plant, percentage pithy pods per plant, seed weight per plot and weight of 100 seeds. Based on the research granting bio fertilizer treatment combination sugih concentration of 1 cc / l of water and rice straw mulch resulted in seed weight per plot were higher than the other treatments.   Keywords: green beans, sugih bio fertilizers and organic mulch.
