Abstract

This research was conducted in Maret until Mey 2017 in Fish Hatchery and Breeding laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences University of Riau. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of combination ovaprim and oksitosin on ovulation and hatching of catfish (Mystus nigriceps). The method used in this research was an experimental method with Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with one factor, five treatments and three replications. The treatment used in this research was an injection of combination ovaprim and oksitosin i.e. P0 (100% ovaprim), P1 (25% oksitosin + 75% ovaprim), P2 (50% oksitosin + 50% ovaprim), P3 (75% oksitosin + 25% ovaprim), P4 (100% oksitosin (0,7 ml/kg). The results showed that the best in treatment combination ovaprim and oksitosin (P3 = 75% oksitosin + 25% ovaprim) which produce latency (6.03 hours), total eggs stripping (276 eggs/gr broodstock), Ovi Somatic Index (7.9 %), egg diameter increment (0.037 mm), egg maturity increment (7,6 %), fertilate rate (36%), hatching rate (52%), and survival rate of 5 days (61%).Keywords : Ovaprim, Oksitosin, Ovulation, and catfish (Mystus nigriceps)

Abstract

ABSTRACTNygaard Index can be used to determine the trophic state of waters. Calculation of this index is based on the number of phytoplankton species in these following groups, namely  Desmidiaceae, Myxophyceae, Chlorococcales, Centric diatom, Pennate diatom and Euglenophyceae. To understand the trophic state of the Lubuk Siam lake, a research has been conducted in February - March 2017. There were three sampling stations, namely station 1 (inlet area), station 2 (the middle of the lake) and station 3 (outlet area). In each station there were three sampling points, in the surface, 2 secchi depth, and 3 secchi depth. Sampling were conducted 3 times, once/week. Water quality parameters measured were phytoplankton (species and abundance), transparency, temperature, pH, nitrate, phosphate, Dissolved oxygen and free carbon dioxide. Results shown that there are 53 species of phytoplankton present, namely Desmidiaceae class (11 species), Myxophyceae class (6 species), Chlorococcales ordo (23 species), Centric   diatom ordo (6 species), Pennate diatom (5 species) and Euglenophyceae division (2 species). The water quality parameters were as follows: transparency 63-89 cm, temperature 28.5-30.53 0C, pH 6.83-7.27, nitrate 0.7-0.17 mg/L, phosphate 0.12-0.16 mg/L, Dissolve oxygen 4.10-7.84 mg/L, free carbon dioxide 5.29-15.98 mg/L. Nygaard Index value of the Lubuk Siam Lake was 2.1 – 2.83, and it can be  categorized as mesotrophic to eutrophic. Keywords: Lubuk Siam lake, Nygaard Index, phytoplankton, trophic state

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the amount of golden apple snail (Pomacea canaliculata) flour mixed to dry sago noodles that can be accepted by consumers. The method used was an experimental method that was conducting experiments on the using of varied amount of golden apple snail (Pomacea canaliculata) flourmixed in the dough of sago noodles. The concentration of snails flour used was 0 g, 50 g, 100 g and 150 g. The results showed that the dry sago noodles fortified with 50 grams of snails flour was the most preferred by consumers. The dry sago noodles contained moisture 10.30%, ash 7.23%, protein 10.22%, and fat 1.55% .Keywords : Golden apple snail, sago, noodles

Abstract

Study was conducted in february 2017. This report aims to understand structure community of mangrove in the village Pantai Cermin kiri in the Pantai Cermin North Sumatra. Methods used in research is method of surveying. The research station based on human activity. In every station divided into 3 transects with long transects 50 m lead from the sea to land. The number of a plot used by 27, with each size 10 x 10 m2 to tree level, 5 x 5 m m2 to the saplings, and 2 x 2m2 to level seedling. The result of this research found 7 mangrove species in the village Pantai Cermin kiri. Vegetation that dominated is Rhizophora apiculata with INP of 300 %. A condition of vegetation in the village Pantai Cermin Kiri in the shore Pantai Cermin mangrove are forest area is still in good with the density of of 2377,78 tree / ha.Kata Kunci: Village Pantai Cermin Kiri, Structure Community, mangrove.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara ukuran partikel substrat dasar dan bahan organik dengan kelimpahan makrozoobenthos di Pantai Pelawan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di perairan Pantai Pelawan Pulau Karimun Besar Kabupaten Karimun Provinsi Kepulauan Riau. Metode yang digunakan adalah survey. Penentuan titik sampling menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Pengambilan sampel di lapangan telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Februari 2017 dan analisis fraksi sedimen di Laboratorium Kimia Laut serta identifikasi makrozoobenthos dilakukan di Laboratorium Biologi Laut pada bulan Maret 2017. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fraksi sand mendominasi pada lokasi penelitian, dengan persentase antara 45.64-95.69%. Kandungan bahan organik di perairan pantai Pelawan tergolong rendah yakni  berkisar 0.42-5.07 %. Jenis makrozoobenthos dari pengamatan penelitian diperoleh 1 kelas yaitu dari kelas Gastropoda yang terdiri dari 17 spesies dengan nilai kelimpahan antara 8.3-112.5 Ind/m2. Hubungan antara ukuran partikel substrat dasar dan bahan organik dengan kelimpahan makrozoobenthos masing-masing menunjukkan hubungan kuat dan sangat kuat. Kata Kunci : Substrat Dasar, Bahan Organik, Makrozoobenthos , Pantai Pelawan Kabupaten Karimun.

Abstract

This research was conducted on 17-25 April 2016 in KM. INKAMINA. The purpose of this study to collate the information of pukat teri construction. The method used was a survey method. Results from this research showed that the pukat teri construction has 355m length and 40m depth. The net using materials PA (Polyamide) multifilament. Buoy, ris, sinker and wrinkles rope using the same materials was PE (polyethylene). 1350 floats materials styrofoam, 1550 sinker materials lead, 173 rings materials iron. In terms of construction, pukat teri gear same with purse seine, reinforced by a wrinkles and rings rope in to The characteristics of the purse seine.Keywords :Pukat teri, construction, Tanjung Tiram

Abstract

This research was conducted in October 2016 until January 2017 by using survey method. The purpose of this research was to determine the water quality, the structure of phytoplankton community and the relationship between the water quality with the abundance of phytoplankton in Sungaitohor Estuary Kepulauan Meranti District, Riau Province. Identification and analysis of phytoplankton was conducted at Marine Biology Laboratory Faculty of Fisheries and Marine University of Riau. The correlation regression analysis showed that the relationship between pH and phytoplankton abundance were very low, meanwhile correlation regression analysis between salinity and phytoplankton abundance was fair. The abundance of phytoplankton ranged between 25 - 75 ind/l, diversity index (H ') ranged from 0,81 – 1,89 (medium category), uniformity index (E) ranged from 0,12 – 0,30 (low category) and dominance index (C) ranged from 0,29 – 0,67 (medium category). The identification found 11 genera of phytoplankton i.e. : Leptocylindrus, Protoperidinium, Trichodesmium, Isthmia, Gonyaulax, Nitzschia, Cestum, Skeletonema, Thalassiosira, Stephanopyxis and Streptotheca. Protoperidinium was found in each stations.Keywords : Phytoplankton, Community Structure, Sungaitohor.

Abstract

This study were conducted in survey method. Four stations were established with three replication of each sampling station. It revealed that oil content in water ranged from (0.4391 – 0.7973) ppm. The highest epiphytic diatom density on the seagrass leaves oppeared in station 4 which accounted 366 ind/cm2, while the lowest 132 ind/cm2 found in station 2. During the study, epiphytic diatom species most commonly found are Isthmia sp, Navicula sp, Skeletonema sp, Ulothrix sp, dan Synedra sp. Statistical analysis showed the oil content and epiphytic diatom density correlation were weak with coefficient of (0.05)Key words : Rupat Utara Water, Oil Content, Epiphytic Diatom

Abstract

Featherback fish (Notopterus notopterus) is a type of freshwater fish that inhabit theSail River. This fish has high economic value, the price is more than Rp 60.000/kg.Information on biological aspects of this fish, including morphometric, meristic, andgrowth patterns is rare. To understand the those characteristics, a research had beenconducted from March-April 2017. There were 100 fishes (116-299 mm TL and 8.6-234gr BW) captured from the river. There were 23 morphological characteristics measuredand 8 meristical characteristics counted. The meristical characteristics were as follows:D.6-7, P.11-14, V.1, A.99-111, the number of scale in the pre-dorsal fin was 102-103,around the body was 126-136, in the caudal peduncle was 12-14, and in the lateral linewas 150-168. The length-weight relationship shown that the growth of male and femalewas positive allometric (b= 3.363). The water quality parameters shown thattemperature 28-30°C, transparency 5.50-14.83 cm, pH 5-6, DO 2-3.8 mg/L, CO2 11.9-21.9 mg/L and depth 0.7-1.8 m. Data on water quality in the Sail River is able tosupport the life of the N. notopterus.Keywords: Notopterus notopterus, Sail River, morphometric, meristic, growth patterns

Abstract

ABSTRAKSasak Ranah Pasisie village is one of villages in south Pasaman Barat  Regency  owning a Place of Fish Auction ( TPI ). Sasak Ranah Pasisie TPI expected to me community consumption on marine fish locally (Sout Pasaman Barat Regerency). Sasak Ranah Pasise  Development was very well done,according to near fishing ground an suported by fisherman’s and armada’s and kualifikasi organizer education  which  enough nicely.  Beside, every day of fish landed always sellout cause the exis of  transportation so that the  marketing go out area is not annoyed. This research aimed to look at the condition and facility usage which existed in Sasak Ranah Pasisie TPI and probability for development. The adventage of this research was giving suggestion and consideration to development of TPI facility in the future. The data Analysed consisted of technical analysis .
